I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

i have had this problem for a while. i use media player classic, part of the k-lite codec pack. whenever i play a video within 10-20 mins the video starts to stutter, slowing down before completely stopping as if it had been paused. i have tried watching in windows media player also, the same thing happens.

i am using Catalyst 9.12 drivers.

i had this problem with my old video card (GeForce 8800GTS) too.

i have done some googling and other people have had this problem, for some it was their drivers. others have had success with changing the output settings under DirectShow Video in media player classic. i have tried that, but it still happens, so i am thinking it is definitely a driver issue.

has anyone else had this problem? and if so how were u able to solve it?

Have you tried an alternative to WMP or Classic?
Jet Player or VLC?
The Jet Player seems to play almost anything that WMP won't, and it's got all the extra's like BBE and equalizer settings. ( see if you still have the same problems with Jet)

This is driving me crazy. Every YouTube vid moves inside the window like someone behind the camera is shaking it violently. The motion distorts into mosaic-like pixelation. I have noticed that this happens only when there is actual motion in the video.

For example, if someone is moving. If there is a still shot of the person, or if just a bunch of text is shown, no stuttering occurs.

And, if I move my cursor constantly inside the vid while it plays, the stuttering stops, but I can't continuously do that!

We're talking about a Windows 7 Fujitsu on Firefox with the latest updates. It's on a university server in Japan, hardwire connected, not wifi.

A wifi connected Panasonic laptop with Windows 8 shows none of this.

After my computer did its usual updates, I've noticed a sound issue whenever I've been trying to play games/watch videos. At regular intervals the audio will freeze/skip for a second and make a loud grinding noise, then resume. This happens with music, streaming videos, games, pretty much everything. If I'm watching a video or playing a game, the screen will freeze for a second, then resume.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron N4110 laptop with Windows 7

I assume I need to install a new driver or something, but I am pretty computer illiterate and don't exactly know what I need/where I need to get it from/how to figure out what I need.

Was hoping someone could help here.

A:Audio buzzing/stuttering during videos/games

Since the screen will "freeze", suggests the sound problems are just a result of whatever is causing the PC to hang up and not directly a sound problem. Thus another forum section would be more applicable than the sound section.

You can run the Resplendence Latency Mon program and that may help, if you can figure it out as it gives you "information overload".

Need Help
My old laptop has been having a stuttering problem with games for a couple of years now. It?ll stutter for around five seconds, run smooth for around ten seconds, stutter again for five, run smooth for ten. It?ll keep doing that until I stop playing and close the game. It doesn?t start doing the stutter the second I start the game, it?ll start maybe around five minutes into the game and not quit its pattern. It doesn?t matter what game, how old it is, it does this to all.

It also does this while watching online videos. I can?t watch anything on, for example, Hulu, or Gametrailers, without it doing the same stutter pattern.

I didn?t always have this annoyance. It started little over a year after I bought my laptop. During all this time, while putting up with the problem, I?ve done several clean installs. I?ve tried to solve this myself, but never could find anyone with the same exact problem.

I?ve uploaded several videos that show the stutter problem:
MrTatakichi's Channel - YouTube

Also, here's my hardware & processes:

Well, 761 MHz processor speed is way too slow for any modern games. You can check go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /R and press enter. The command prompt box appears, press Y and reboot the computer. The Check Disk Utility will check the integrity of the drive. You can also click on the PC Running Slow? link in my signature and try those things. Other then that, you need a faster computer.

It also happens when I am watching steaming video. The video will stop for a couple of seconds while the audio continues and when the vid starts again it jumps to meet the audio.

Also when I am scrolling down with the mouse it will get jammed for a second or two then jump down.

Another thing I just noticed while writing this is when I type that too will jam for several seconds then jump.

Let's see if you have any nasties hiding there first.....

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. Open up the result.txt file created. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it in the forum. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.

Hi, all.

I've recently put together a new multimedia computer which I've hooked up to a 32'' LCD 1080i TV.

The machine has up until now, played DVDs fine, but when I tried playing my first HD DVD the other day, I noticed a slight 'stutter' every five seconds or so, during playback.

I tried changing some of the ATI Catalyst settings, but nothing worked, so I turned to downloading the newest ATI drivers I could find on their official website.

After I'd installed them and restarted, an error message appeared saying that the 'new' drivers I'd just installed (even though I'd double-checked) were in fact, 'old' drivers, and that Catalyst would now not work under them.

I tried rolling back the drivers, but that didn't help - if anything, it made things worse - I lost all sound, and eventually picture whilst running XP - so as a last resort, I tried reinstalling Windows.

This has pretty much restored everything to how it was before (and also HD DVD playback in PowerDVD Ultra) but now I can only play a film/disc for so long (about 10-20 mins) until the image freezes and/or goes into an infinite stuttering loop (video, that is - the sound keeps running).
I'd be eternally grateful if anyone could help me with this.

Thanks in advance,
Clark.
PS - I've also recently installed WMP11, assuming I could play blu-ray and HD DVD discs with that, but it doesn't seem to recognise HD DVD's at all.... Read more

Hi,

I had an issue in the past where I installed a 32-bit version of a program and it messed everything up. You can take a look at this thread for more information.

Mouse/Keyboard/USB don't work anymore after turning off computer

I had to do a repair install in order for my computer to run properly again. However, 3/4 months after the repair install, my computer is acting strange. It constantly stutters/freezes every 5-10 seconds or so. When I browse the internet, it freezes for about 5 seconds before it resumes; when I open up anything, it freezes before it starts; when I play a game, it lags/freezes randomly for a good 3-5 seconds.

I have no idea what happened or if this has anything to do with the "repair install". I assume it does and I am asking you guys if anything can be done to fix this issue before a complete format of my system.

A:Stuttering/Freezing

If this began 3 or 4 months after the repair install, it is probably not related to it.

I think you should check for malware.
Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and save it to a convenient location.
Right click on mbam-setup.exe and select Run as administrator
Before clicking the Finish button, make sure that these 2 boxes are checked (ticked):Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will now check for updates. If your firewall prompts, please allow it. If you can't update it, select the Update tab. Under Update Mirror, select one of the websites and click on Check for Updates.
Select the Scanner tab. Click on Perform quick scan, then click on Scan.
Leave the default options as it is and click on Start Scan.
When done, you will be prompted. Click OK, then click on Show Results.
Check (tick) all items except items in the C:\System Volume Information folder and click on Remove Selected.
After it has removed the items, Notepad will open. Please post this log in your next reply. You can also find the log in the Logs tab. The bottom most log is the latest.

Hi Everyone! please help!
Every time I turn my computer on (after it was completely off) again which I do a lot as this laptop is so fast to turn off and on, the video streaming does not work.
So after I turn on I go to the bbc, Facebook, youtube, or other streaming sites the video loads and I can click play though it does not actually play, just a still image. same on every website. so to fix this I have to restart the computer, then it works. So for some reason turning the computer off causes this and restarting it fixes it - seems strange to me though more irritating
Second issue is that again online streaming videos stutter all websites all browsers (chrome internet explorer etc.). I have fixed this though by setting Nvidia to be used for the browsers instead of intel. Though this solution uses more power and might be related to the other problem.
This problem has been here since I got the laptop in December 2015, have updated to all the latest drivers bios, applications etc. What else can I do ???

Any help with the videos not playing would be greatly appreciated it is so annoying to turn on the computer go to websites then find you can't play the videos, then remembering you have to restart.

A:Dell XPS 15 9550 Videos online do not play after computer is turned off, also video stuttering

How are you shutting it down? If you use the standard "Start Menu" > "Power" > "Shutdown", it does not completely shut it down. It saves part of memory in a hibernation file which allows it to quickly restart. This could cause issues when you start up again. If you have not tried this, set up a desktop shortcut (right-click on an empty spot on the desktop, select "New" > "Shortcut" and enter "shutdown /s /t 0" in the box (that's "shutdown" + space + forward slash+"s" + space + forward slash+"t" + space + "0" [the number zero]) without the quotes. Click "Next" and give the shortcut a name, then "OK". This will shut the computer down completely.
The other option is to disable "Fast Startup". That should accomplish the same thing. See if either of these help.

Hey all, I've run into a few problems here. I'm an avid player of Neverwinter Nights, EverQuest, and EQ2. And recently I've hit some... issues.

Two nights ago on EQ2, I was running through a zone, when my screen blipped. it froze for about five seconds, flickered black just before un-freezing, and my toon's pet would be a few yards ahead. Well I figured it was just some weird game glitch or lag or something, since the zone in question isn't exactly well-known for its stability. So I log out and reboot.

I can't even get into the game. It halts at the character select, and the opening screen resembles what I can best describe as "polygon explosion". Just a mass of color and triangles. I bluescreen after a while, it tells me that an error involving nv4_disp.dll resulted in an infinite loop.

So the next thing I do after I reboot is run avg, it finds nothing out of the ordinary, then I run ad-aware and spybot, both of whom just pick up your every day "you've won a million dollars!" type spyware. So I shrug and fire up WMP to enjoy some music. Well I have the visualization active on WMP, and... well, same thing that was happening in the game, only five times worse, flickering, stuttering, freezing on and off. I eventually wrestled it to the ground, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and slapped a new skin on that works just fine. I then went to nvidia.com and downloaded / installed the 77.77 drivers. I had been using the 77.72... Read more

Other than a few minor hiccups, the only issue I seem to be having after upgrading to Windows 8 is some freezing and very slow performance. I may right-click something, or open a window, and it might take minutes instead of a fraction of a second. Sometimes, Explorer will crash or freeze. Other times, video/picture thumbnails will not be present, or may take a very long time to show up. Sometimes, I will open a folder, and it will display as if it is empty, even if it is full of files.
My computer is very fast, so I am unsure of what might be causing this. I scanned my drivers for errors, but they seem to be alright.

Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions!

Did you upgrade or do a clean install? I had similar issues when I ran in dual-boot mode and everything cleared up after I did a clean install. Check your drivers and be sure they're all up-to-date. Is your PC running hot? Does it always do the same thing or just after it's been running awhile?

Sometimes my computer would freeze or slow to a crawl, regardless of what I'm doing, even if it's idle. When it slows, the computer stutters every second or so (Task manager shows CPU usage go up and down every second) and everything takes a lot longer to open/close/etc. When restarting afterwards, sometimes I'd get "A disk read error occured, press ctrl alt del to restart", or it'll hang on "Detecting IDE Drives" and then it'd do this test thing and "Media test failure, check cable". I figure these are all related and it's the cause of faulty hardware, but I don't know what. Please help. Hey, about a week ago, the mouse I use for my laptop started stuttering. At first I thought it was a problem with Minecraft, as it was only happening if I played Beta or Classic. But it later got worse, it started happening outside of Minecraft and the mouse often freezes completely, and I have to unplug and then plug the mouse back into the USB port. That works for up to several minutes max, then the lagging returns again. Sometimes the lagging even returns seconds after plugging the mouse back in. The built-in trackpad on the laptop doesn't seem to stutter or freeze, but using that is a pain and tedious when doing certain tasks.

I was using a Microsoft Intellipoint mouse at the time the problem started. And thought that it could be a driver issue and that the mouse drivers would've been be out of date. Turned out they were already up-to-date though, and the driver updates come through Windows Update. After that, I swapped mice. I got another mouse from my desktop PC, and hoped that would help fix the problem. Well, nope. I still get the same stuttering and freezes. And the mice seem to work normally on the desktop. I also tried blowing out the USB ports and adapters for the mice to see if dust was causing the problem. That didn't help either. Then I thought maybe it was the mouse pad I was using, but turns out that wasn't the problem either.

Edit: the LED lights on the second mouse remain lit even when the mouse pointer has frozen.

Is there a chance that Windows Update has updated your graphics drivers? I have had Windows Update cause problems before if I let it update hardware drivers.

Hi there,

I have been having problems with my desktop for the past 4-5 months, have tried so much and looked on almost
every thread relating to lag and stuttering without finding a solution.

I have had the PC for nearly 3 years, built myself.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 7700k ( swaped to a celeron G3930)
GPU: Geoforce 1070 (taken out for testing)
Motherboard: MSI z270 pro carbon (swaped to an ASUS prime z270-P for testing)
Power supply: EVGA Supernova 850 W Gold G2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz (tried individually)
Storage: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 (boot drive) and a Seagate BarraCuda

The problem occurs every 5-10 minutes with normal use, but every 20-30 seconds while playing games. This becomes more often for both the longer the computer is turned on for.

Things I have tried software wise:
-Clean install of windows 10
-Update/reinstall drivers for every component
-Change resolution and refresh rate of the monitor
-Disable prefetch and superfetch

There are no errors in event manager leading me to assume this problem is due to hardware. I have tried unplugging my GPU
and using my CPU's onboard graphics, the problem still occurs.

This problem 100% is not related to:

You post that the problem is 100% not ram however I do not see where you tested the ram and what you used to test? Unless you use something like memtest and or prime95 [ram test] for a minimum of 1hr, then you really do not know if the problem is ram or not.

I have checked the PSU readings in the BIOS, there are no anomalous readingsClick to expand...

While this has some validity, it does not test under a load [which is where a pw supply would most likely have problems]
If you want to test a pw supply, you use the motherboard mfg's monitoring software while running prime95, OCCT, or IBT [intel burn test] If by chance your board mfg does not have monitoring software [which I know asus has] then you can use the intel extreme tuning utility. The intel utility will both monitor and do a stress test.

Every time I listen to music or watch a video my computer seems to freeze or stutter for just a second. During this time the music screeches and everything hangs. I don't know if this only occurs when listening to music or watching a video, but it is the only time I notice.

I have tried disk defrag, updating drivers, cleaning my registry, disabling AVG resident shield and nothing seems to work. It is getting really annoying, so if anyone has any suggestion please let me know and thank you in advance.

Hi -

I suggest playing a song or video and shortly following the stuttering/freezing right- clicking on the taskmbar (at bottom) and selecting 'Task manager'.

This will open a new window in which J want you to switch to the 'Processes' tab at the top. Then expand the window and click on the bar that says 'Mem Usage'. The highest process should be listed at the top, in your reply post the top 4 processes along with their name and memory usage. It might be that your CPU is struggling to keep up.

Regards,

- Jon

Out of the box it would play games fine with no freezes.  Windows and Graphics drivers updated once connected to the web and then it started freezing for a couple seconds in Wildlands and Watchdogs 2.  It will also freeze in the Heaven benchmark from Unigine. It freezes for a couple seconds then will run for a couple seconds then freeze again.  The freezes become more and more frequent.
The freezes will occur in the Heaven benchmark even on lower graphics settings.
GPU Temps are 70C and under while this is happening.
What I've tried:
1. Windows reset.
2. Windows fresh install
3. Staying with previous Graphics driver
4. Disabling Geforce Sharing
The freezing is still there.

I have an HP ProBook 4540s that stutters when accepting input via both keyboard and mouse. This happens not just in windows, but also in the BIOS itself. Issue is also present when booting to safe mode, and in POST. I am a bit stumped, but I have run a memtest from the UBCD and it checked out fine, as did my HDD. Any ideas?

Hey everyone, I reciently built a computer for a friend, and after everything was built, I installed a legal copy of Vista Home Premium on it. During the past few days though, the computer has begun freezing. It's not so much as a full system freeze, as a stuttering. Audio playback begins to loop, and you can't do anything, but after a little while, the system returns to normal.

I have installed the latest video drivers, but haven't been able to think of much more than that.

Here's a list of the hardware.

Hi,

I'll try to keep this brief.

I purchased my HP Probook 4530s off my friend last week. Naturally, I formatted it to give a fresh install of Windows. Since then I have been having this issue:

Laptop freezing up - YouTube

Watch the video above, as you can hear the video lags/stutters as well as the sound 'buzzing'. The mouse lags across the screen and for some reason the internet disconnects during this time. The only way to fix this is to restart the laptop, although is happens again.

I have re installed Windows 3 times now and every time I get the issue.

I notice it the most under the following circumstances:

-Awaken PC from sleep mode
-Run laptop on battery power

In saying that, it is completely random. I was just in a Skype call on battery power and it was fine. I hung up and then rang someone again and it started freezing/buzzing/stuttering. The internet disconnected and I had to restart the laptop for fix it.

What on earth is causing this? The laptop worked perfectly before I formatted it the first time.

Specs:

8 GB RAM

Please and thank you for anyone who can offer any advice!

A:Laptop Freezing/Stuttering Randomly During Use

I believe I have narrowed it down to my network card.

I guess it would make sense why the internet disconnects when I get those issues, but why would it freeze up my system?

I ran the DPC latency checker, and sure enough after 5 minutes on battery, I got the issue. I disabled things in device manager 1 by 1 and found when I disable my "802.11n Wireless LAN Card" the issue INSTANTLY goes away. Re-enabling it brings the issue back again.

I've tried updating the card's drivers yet it doesn't change the driver version of the card.

Help?

Hi,

Bit of a story, but my z97 itx motherboard, and I was not able to replace it, so I got a z170 + 6700 thinking everything was going to be okay.

Now that I've installed it, I'm experiencing massive DCP latency, stuttering and random freezes (no overheating).

First I bought a Asus z170 itx Pro gaming board, and this was a aboslute nightmare, and the board was terrible (disconnecting my bluetooth devices, not connecting to 5ghz network etc. stuff like that.) So I returned that, and bought a Msi Ac gaming board, hoping the DCP latency was a part of the board, but nay.

Now I've tried a fresh install of windows 10 twice (once where I installed the drivers from Msi) no help, and then I tried to do a another fresh install and let windows install the drivers, but still no luck.

I've disabled NIC and onboard sound drivers.

I recently put together a HTPC out of some old parts, but when I try to stream videos from Hulu, Neftlix, and the likes, I get very poor performance. Netflix is watchable, with only occasional freezing, but the audio is slightly off sink from the video. Hulu on the other hand is extremely slow, and in full screen the video becomes a slideshow. Through the task manager, I can see that while streaming from Netflix I get around 60-70% CPU usage, while from Hulu I get a flat out 100%. I have installed available updates, including the most recent nVidia drivers, and flash 10.1, which is supposed to have GPU acceleration. Neither of those helped in the slightest bit.

Here are the specs:

Commell LV-670 ITX motherboard
Celeron 2.6
1 Gb DDR
GeForce 8400gs
Windows Server 2008

I know this is not a very powerful system, but it handles DVDs relatively smoothly, though there is still high CPU usage with them. I have tried multiple browsers as well, and have noticed no difference between them.

Any ideas on how to get GPU accelerated flash working, or how to improve streaming performance in general?

Thanks,

-TC

sounds more like a network issue than anything... check for conflicts and update network drivers if necessary. i don't understand why CPU usage is so high but perhaps a network protocol or service is hogging res? download process explorer to get a better picture of what's going on why the streaming is running.

My new XPS 15 9560 is terribly slow and freezes, especially when using Chrome (I'm writing this using Edge)  I have only run Windows Update, installed Chrome (in admin account), created a regular user and logged into Dropbox under my regular user account.  I have run the dell diagnostics which reported no problems.
The machine is unusable in Chrome and Edge stutters and lags also.  I'm incredibly  disappointed as this brand new machine, with virtually no software installed is even slower than the 5 year old machine it was to replace.
Any ideas?  Maybe I just need to return the machine and buy another brand.
And now the reCAPTCHA is freezing so I can't post this message.  ***!

Hello All! I've bought Lenovo P51 recently. I upgraded Lenovo drivers, BIOS and installed all Microsoft updates. Within the last couple of days, I noticed that Windows 10 hangs (off and on) while accessing Windows shares on my local network. The behavior I see is as follows:Mouse movement is no longer smooth, jumping between locations versus gliding.Applications (explorer and other) become unresponsive sporadically. It seems to affect just about everything...The file copy window itself is also impacted, jumping in % versus advancing like normal and unresponsive sporadically.Even BSOD happened once while the file was copying. If I cancel the file copy the problem immediately goes away.I chose a test file (about 170 GB) to do some testing with:Copy from local SSD to the same SSD - no problems.Copy from fileserver to SSD via Internal LAN Adapter (Intel 1Gbps) - problem occurs.Copy from fileserver to SSD via External USB LAN Adapter (usb stick 1Gbps) - no problems. All tests in Lenovo Vantage passes without any error. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue? Thanks in advance! Lenovo ThinkPad P51 (20HH0014RT)Intel Core i7, 7700HQ, 8 Gb, nVidia Quadro M1200M, SSD, 256 Gb, Windows 10 Pro

Hello, I have a problem with my computer that I built myself a couple of months ago.

The problem is that it keeps stuttering, it will freeze for two seconds unfreeze freeze for another two seconds unfreeze and it will do this roughly 6 times 10 times a day. I have put up with it in the past but now I am experiencing complete crashes where my computer will not respond and will shut down.

I have tried to research this online but havent found much solutions available, rumour has it it could be from the cables i am using to connect my SSD, HDD and optical drive to my motherboard.

I have windows 7 on my SSD, and all of my other large files on my samsung HDD.

Ever since I got the tb16 I noticed that whenever I watch a video it would cause the machine to stutter. I notice this stutter when I initially plug the tb16 into my laptop but then it appears again when I'm watching a video. I've tried searching for a solution but nothing has worked. I've updated the bios and drivers (for the xps 15 and tb16) but the problem still remains. This stuttering and freezing would also happen but during normal usage as well but only very rarely (my machine actually froze while I was writing this post :( ).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ok i dont know if this is windows 7 related or hardware or what but heres the deal:

I've had this gaming pc for about 2 years and ever since ive gotten it, it seems to freeze and/or restart at weird times.
at first i thought it was over heating so i got a better heat sink and some top shelf thermal paste, took the side panels off and added a huge box fan to the side and put it next to an air conditioner.
still happened... so its not a heat thing i dont think.
and what confuses me the most is that it does it when performing simple tasks but now when performing complex ones.

i play a highly graphical video game for 5 hours = no problem
i watch a youtube video = sometimes freezes and the audio will "stutter" or shut off or both OR none.

i host a game server, or 2, play a game and my room is 85 degrees = no problem.

i play a flash game for 10 minutes in a 65 degree room = freeze and sound stutter and/or restart.

also i have tried completely cleaning all of the hardware and removing dust and i have tried reformatting the harddrive and starting over.

no matter what i try, same problem.

-Charlie

I received a new X1 Yoga roughly a week ago and have been having a consistent issue from day 1 wherein, at random (but frequent) intervals output to the display will freeze. I know the operating system hasn't hung, as I can use the keyboard or mouse to interact with the UI and hear audio feedback, but it's like the display completely stops refreshing and it frozen on a given frame for anywhere from 2 seconds to indefinitely. Once this issue starts, it seems to get worse and worse until one of these indefinite freezes. The freezes can always be recovered from by shutting the display, letting the laptop enter sleep mode, then re-opening, but usually re-occurs very shortly afterward. Extended diagnostics with the Lenovo diagnostic tool and memtest86 return no errors, and Lenovo support sent out a replacement NVMe SSD which failed to resolve the issue. For now I have escalated in MTSA again and am waiting for a response to see what their next idea is, but was curious if this issue sounds familiar to anybody else/if anyone may have a root cause? FWIW, I haven't been able to reproduce this issue in Linux, but it can be produced in windows (both fresh from MS and via Lenovo's restore image) in <10 mins, making it that much more frustrating to nail down which component may be acting up. Cheers!

My computer has been having this issue since purchase. Occasionally, whatever it is that I am doing will become unresponsive for 1-3 seconds at a time. This occurs fairly often, at least once every 5-10 minutes or so, so this can become increasingly irritating. Sometimes this freezing will occur when i open a new link on an internet browser, try to run some software, etc and will make cause the computer to remain frozen until I hold the power button, either forcing it to turn off or enter sleep mode (system is unresponsive to CTRL+ALT+DEL command so this is my only option). Any insight on to what this issue could be? I should also mention that my device is out of warranty. Thanks.
