I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I am trying to gather the warranty information on quite a few of our companies HP thin clients.I have a list of all the serial numbers I am looking to gather information on, but not the product numbers.These thin clients are spread out through 11 seperate locations and getting all the product numbers for these would be quite un-pleasant.I found an area in HP support to get the warranty information i desire but it requires both S/N and P/N.Is there another area that would only require the S/N?  This would save me much time and frustration. Thanks

I purchased a brand new HP Spectre x360 Conv 15-ap012dx ALL on February 15, 2017 at Best Buy. Supposedly in there description of the Best Buy website this machine has a 1 year warranty. My warranty on the HP Support Assistant shows the warranty expiring on 12/19/2017 (10 months). I called Best Buy but they said that is something I would have to resolve with HP. Love love love this new laptop but really frustrated with this issue. Can anyone suggest who I would contact at HP to resolve this issue. I have the serial number of this machine along with receipt from Best Buy. Thanks!

 The warranty date usually is simply set from time laptop was shipped.It can be corrected with sales receipt. Probably the best way to make personalized contact with HP is using HP Support Assistant. Open it and click on Support at top. This will give you options of live chat or a phone number to call.

(I apologise if this is the wrong thread.)Hi,My desktop is showing my warranty as expired which is clearly not the case as my warranty certificate states 2018 I contacted HP shortly after I bought it, April of last year to tell them it was incorrect at the time, showing only the standard 1 yr warranty.they said they would update it to the proper date 3 yrs hence. I have spent another 45 minutes on the phone today only to be told again!!! to provide proof of purchase and proof of warranty. is it not enough that I provide the warranty certificate number? Forgive me but it is not rocket science to enter the warranty details into a database, they say it is not that simple, I beg to differ. I have just purchased another HP laptop x2 convertible with an additional 1 yr warranty and I am expecting to have to go through all this yet again. If the email I have sent to prove purchase etc does not resolve the situation where is my next port of call? Regards

I bought a Lenov Ideapad 510 15IKB on 14th April 2017. Now I'm facing 2 issues with the warranty registration and warranty upgrade: Issue#1On April 16th I registered the base warranty of my product as it should start from the purchase date of my product. After few email conversations for purchase proof, finally on 3rd May, I received email confirming the base warranty registration of my product. It was starting from 14th April 2017 and ending on 13th April 2018. I checked the same on lenovo website. But few days back when I again checked the warranty status, it was restored to factory warranty (15 Oct 2016 - 13 nov 2017). I don't know why this happened and how this happened. When I contacted lenovo, they said that warranty is updated in their database but how can I beleive when I can't see this on warranty lookup section of the Lenovo official website. I have also attached the screen shot of warranty lookup page as of today (22 June 2017). Issue#2I registered for 2 year warranty extension under Back To School offer (Ticket Number - ADP-BTS-025399) on www.buyalenovo.com and made a payment of INR 999/- on 6th May 2017. I am initiating a proxy server that acts as our webfilter.
On one of the machines I can't get the proxy's address to stay on either chrome or IE10.
Very strange. I can type in the ip and the port but the apply button remains greyed out and when I hit OK - it just doesn't take???

As the title suggests - my invoice specifically says 3yrs warranty was purchased with my M3800 in November 2014. I'm now showing as out of warranty after 2yrs

When I start System Information (msinfo32.msc) it gives me, in the info panel, the following message:

Cannot access the Windows Management Information software. Windows Mangement files might be moved or missing.

I checked if the WMI service is not disabled (it is automatically started, the default).

In Microsoft Mangement Console, under Services and Application, I have WMI Control. R-click, properties, and:
Failed to connect to <local computer>
because "Interface: class not registered"

So, my HP Envy x360 has a screen problem that I described in an earlier post, but the situation that I am in currently is that around February, I contacted HP to get a box to send my laptop back and get it repaired in. Now, I couldn't send it back at the time because I needed it every day for classes. So, I decided to wait until the end of the school year, not thinking that my warranty expires in April . Is it still possible for me to send my laptop back to be repaired free of charge? Thanks!

Hi! I have a quick question, my laptop came with a mechanical hard disk which i would like to replace with a solid state.The problem is that there is a sticker saying "Warranty void if label tampered with or removed" covering one of the screws. The end date of warranty is until Jul 2017. What i should do? Why HP is doing this really? I never owned a laptop which was impossible to upgrade the ram or the hdd...

Help please. HP Support Assistant changed overnight and now shows Warranty Expired and date Dec 2015 when I bought the PC. Expiry date should be 3 December 2016.Have sent HP Warranty Dispute form and evidence of purchase (twice). No response. Have used Assistant Agent twice and was very pleased with excellent service. Because warranty is out of date, according to HP, contact with them is limited and try as I can I have been unable to get a phone call through to customer service (its always busy!). I have even contacted HP  Head Office who gave me the same phone number and a complaints e- mail address which turned out to be in South America! Message on HP Support Assistant  received today asks me to continue  warranty by paying for 2 year cover. Have paid for this today and hope this will sort situation. Meanwhile who can I e mail at HP in the UK to resolve this?

I posted a msg regarding a possible IRQ problem and missing internet connection.  Received a PM to call a number, did so and worked with a person from Skyfill who told me my warranty was expired.  My computer shows that I have 6 months left but the help person disputed that; so I paid for assistance to get computer internet connection fixed.   How do I dispute the warranty coverage?
