February 10, 2017

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Net filtering Service (11.1.9.02090) in a number of Dr.Web products. The update delivers a fix for an identified problem.

Specifically, it addresses a connectivity issue involving some remote banking applications and Outlook Express.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm in a bit of a bind, and any help would be more than appreciated.

Some number of weeks ago, my computer became infected with something (I was never able to figure out exactly what the issue/virus/malware etc. wars). As a result, I was unable to use Google Chrome (my default browser) or Internet Explorer 7, so I reverted back to Mozilla Firefox. This was more of an inconvenience than a problem, as some programs didn't run perfectly anymore (e.g. I couldn't acces my hotmail inbox directly from MSN anymore), and if I clicked IE 7 accidentally, it would take a VERY long time to close.

Anyways, a few days ago my computer became infect with malware, and I have not been able to run anything because the fake antivirus program AV Security Suite will not allow me to. Originally, I couldn't not run anything, but then, without any reason, I was able to run Firefox again. I went to this site
<http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-av-security-suite.html> and downloaded the Spyware Doctor, which AV Security Suite would not allow to run. So I installed it by booting my computer in Safe Mode with Networking. However, when I was finished, I was told that the Spyware Doctor needed updates to run, so I selected the option to download updates. However, I was unable to download them and the program closed, I'm assuming because of the aforementioned internet issue: my computer has trouble doing rudimentary things because it does can't run through IE anymore, becau... I was alarmed a few days ago when "Enterprise Suite" suddenly appeared on my desktop. The reviews I read on google, yahoo, etc. warned that Enterprise Suite is a rogue scam program. I have tried in vain to remove it from my computer to no avail. A few nights ago, I spent 2 hours downloading one free program by spydoctor that was supposed to permanently rid my computer of this rogue scam program only to get a message at the end of the download that my system would not support the download. I have tried everything possible as this pesky program just sits on the bottom of my computer as I cannot close, delete or cut it. All I can do is minimize it. Please, please help me. I will check back Saturday or Sunday night to see if anyone has read this message. Thank you.

Hello,

I am helping a friend with his computer and he had the Windows Enterprise Suite malware that kept saying he had issues. I used Malwarebytes' removal tool and it found 815 infections. I thought it removed everything but I guess not..now when he gets online, it keeps trying to send his browser to places like getantivirusplusnow.com and things like that and he literally can't get a window to load.

I ran Hijackthis and below is what I got..any help ASAP would be great. He uses his computer for business..although I'm sure surfin' adult sites are what got him where he's at. Hahaha.

My friend infected his computer (running Windows XP Professional) with some nasty infection - at first it appeared as if it was the Windows Enterprise Suite virus, but now it also looks to be the Vundo / Virtumonde trojan as well, and possibly more.

I've been working on this for him on and off for the past few weeks, and every time I think I've fixed the problem, it comes back.

The first step I took was to have him use Norton Ghost and boot from the CD to run an anti-virus scan (using the latest anti-virus defintions off of a USB flash drive). It only picked up one or two infections and supposedly cleaned them out. My next step was to try and get into Safe Mode to run some more scans (Norton, Spybot, HijackThis, etc.) but I could not boot his machine into safe mode. It would just reboot as it tried to load up Safe Mode. I couldn't tell if this was an issue relating to the infections on his computer, or some long-standing issue with hardware or something else that he had just never realized because he never tried to get into Safe Mode before. I thought I'd try replacing the registry with an older copy from System Restore, so I did that using the command prompt and file explorer windows that you can access when booting off of Norton Ghost. This still didn't let me get into Safe Mode, but now when booting up into regular Windows at least the infections weren't that prevalent (whereas before they hit you as soon as you loaded the OS). I took this to be a good sign and st... Read more

Hi All,
I have Zone Alarm Pro as my firewall, and Norton 2003 as my Anti virus. I probably should update my anti virus but was thinking about purchasing the Zone Alarm Security Suite and then add a spyware program. The one thing I do have trouble dealing with, using Zone Alarm Pro is that I use a VPN to login to my employer's client systems (different IPs depending on the client's sites). I can't have Zone Alarm Pro up and running when I login. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to firewalls and because I'm a contractor I do not receive much help from the employer so not sure if Norton Security Suite would be a little more user friendly when it comes to adding IPs that I login to.

Any opinions on ZA or Norton SS would be greatly appreciated, as well as any input with using VPN with firewalls.

Thanks in advance,

MB

I woul keep Zone Alarm Pro. Was posted someplace thatwith Zone Alarm Security Suite so of the options of Zone Alarm Pro are not the same so that Zone Alarm Pro alone is better.

Here is a link. Bet it is something you need to setup up right.

Hey everybody,

I am having serious problems with my laptop. Here are the specs: Dell N5010, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU, M [email protected] 2.66GHZ, 6.00Gb of RAM, 64-bit operating system. I have run everything as an administrator, to no avail.

After a week without being able to charge my laptop (I was without a cable), I charged it to find that I could not connect to the internet, or that I was only given "Limited Access," i.e., none. I opened the 'Network and Sharing Center' to find that, under "View your basic network information and set up connections" heading, the text reads, "Unknown - The dependency service or group failed to start."

Going to the status of the Wireless Network Connection and trying to diagnose the problem gives me this error: "The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running."

In Services, under Diagnostics Policy Service, as well as the Base Filtering Engine, I receive the following error(s): "Windows could not start the x service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied. (The variable is either Diagnostics Policy Service, Base Filtering Engine, etc.)

Also in Services, under Windows Firewall, I receive this error: "Windows could not start the x service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.

How can I block all outgoing traffic to the internet except one program? I have tried making an outgoing rule to BLOCK all programs, and then an outgoing rule to ALLOW out traffic from the program I need. However, the block rule is took priority and the allow rule was ignored.

I don't want a single outbound connection except one program; no ICMP, DNS, TCP, UDP, MALWARE, nothing. Surely I don't have to individually block every program and port do I?

A:Egress filtering, Windows Firewall Advanced Security

Okay, here's what I did next: Only port I want open for outgoing is 20050

Create outbound rule,
--Custom
--All programs
--Protocol=TCP
--Source Port=Any
--Destination Port=1-20049, 20051-65535 (leaving the 20050 hole)
--Block
--Applies to Domain, Public, and Private profiles

If I am correct, this will allow no TCP traffic outbound except port 20050. I guess I should now create a separate outgoing rule to completely block every other protocol. Does this sound right?

I was surfing the web one day and a program called "Enterprise Suite" came on and said I have several viruses. The only way to correct them is to pay a fee. I ran the AVG Free Edition and it turned up nothing. I uninstalled AVG and put Norton 360 on to see if it would come up with anything. When my computer restarted, it would go through to the welcome screen and then get stuck. I went into Safe Mode and ran the Norton 360 from there, but got nothing. Now, my computer is stuck on the welcome screen. Please help!

When I'm logged on as an Administrator (which I only log onto to install applications), my Windows Security Center recognizes my AT&T security suite. Everything is fine.

However, when I logon as a User (which I do a majority of the time for internetting and music), Windows Security Center informs me that AT&T's security suite isn't active, even though the icon is shown in the systray, and all of it's services are active (I can see the firewall blocking info in real time for example).

Why does Security Center detect the same suite on my Administrator account but not my User account? This issue only happened after I uninstalled Visual Basic .net a few months ago (I can't restore to back that date at this point to undo it), and I'm wondering if there's a way to repair it.

Anyway, I need to wipe this stuff off my laptop and haven't had any luck using the generic removal guide on this site. I use firefox and cannot access the internet (browser starts up but stalls and must be ctl-atl-delete shut down) so I'm posting from my clean desktop. I've used this fantastic site in the past and it was my first thought upon contracting this annoying bug. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm getting multiple pop-up warnings on my desktop, including a "Security Warning" which states: Application cannot be executed. The file (this part can vary) rundll32.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now? Another pop-up is RUNDLL with a large red X on the left side. It says: Error loading cffqp.dll (this also changes depending on what I'm doing). The specified module could not be found. You can only click OK on this.

There's a pop-up on the lower right where the shield from the malware is on the taskbar. It states: Windown Security Alert with a red X to the left. Windows reports that computer is infected. Antivirus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan your computer. Your system might be at risk now. The problems started with infection by the enterprise suite - noticed by its pop-ups and dire warnings.

I used Malwarebytes and the instructions on this site to attempt to clean things up. The pop-up annoyance is gone, but the hosts file is still hijacked.

Short Summary.

Malwarebytes shows a clean scan.
HostsExpert is unable to restore the original hosts file. - just says its unable to create the new file.
CWShredder thinks that it's fixing svchost32 and the hostfile redirects, but it repeatedly finds the same problem
HijackThis is denied hosts file write access, and notes the large number of hijacked domains (about 200)
ComboFix says that Enterprise Suite is still running, but it's well masked - I can't find the process or any way to stop or disable it.

DDS-file 1 output is included below.. additional output available from the other tools..

Thanks for any direction -
Mark

Hi,
My machine was recently infected by Enterprise Suite malware. (it's a netbook with xp home edition). I downloaded malwarebytes antimalware and thought I resolved the problem. I then reinstalled firefox on my machine, but I am still having problems. The search engine toolbar is installing Google.nl as the default search engine for Google (I am in Ireland). Also a lot of the time I search for anything in the Google search box, I get the desired results, however when I click on the link in the results page, it directs me to a page that has no significance to my original search. (it is a blank page that says 'the document has moved, redirecting').
Can anybody help please? I presume this is still because of the Enterprise Suite but I can't seem to figure out how to fix it!
Thanks,
Susan

So I came home and found that someone had installed Windows Security Suite on my computer and pop ups keep coming up. I booted into safe mode and removed it with AVG and Ad-Aware. The programs gone now and no more popups, but computer still runs slow and I can't bring up my task manager for some reason. When I run HiJack This it tells me I have a particularly large amounts of hijacked domains. I booted into safe mode and ran again and removed all of them and they keep coming back. The problem began a couple of weeks ago. McAfee appeared to be installed on system but wouldn't open. Spoke with tech support and eventually fixed the problem enough that McAfee is now up and running. However, the browser is still redirected to Gala.com and similar sites. Computer has slowed down even more within the last two days.

I am pretty lame about computers. Is there a program that I can download and put on a thumb drive to plug into my non-working computer.

Here is a brief history. AV security suite popped up. I put the computer into safe mode, ran Malwarebytes and then AVG. Thought it was fixed. Then got the Google redirect thing, other than that it seemed to be working fine. I was running these 2 anti-virus protection programs several times a day.

Then I read about "proxy-server" and I should change that back to the correct settings. Tried that several times, it wouldn't stay fixed.

Now, half the time at start up I can get the computer into the area where I could click on safe mode, but neither the mouse or keyboard will move and it ends up counting down and starts in the regular mode.

My son says that the computer is frozen because the desktop picture shows a lot of pixelzation(sp?) It looked the same before - thought it was a bad picture. I think it's not frozen because I can get to the page that would allow me to put the computer into the safe mode, just can't click on it.

I was using fire fox. At the time I had Eset (sp?) protection. It is a Power Spec computer. Things started going crazy when I wanted to watch a tv show from sidereel, using zshare link.

Thank you very much! Pati

A fake antivirus Windows Security Suite popped up a virus-found alert. I don't know how the software got installed into my computer. But I have done a research on this software and I found out that this is a rogue-software. Once it is installed automatically into my computer, it modified my certain registry values and makes me can't run my current Antivirus, can't log in to Google.com but can get access to the main page of Google which I believe has been modified, also I can't sign in to Blogger.com as it is a branch of Google.com.
Anyway, I download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and performed a scan in my computer and it found a rogue-installer and got it deleted. After that, there is no sign of the rogue-software anymore now. But my modified registry values are still unchanged.

Every time I sign in to Google.com it appears to be like this:
