Device Manager Code 19 Error for HP CDDVDW TS-H653T ATA Device

Q: Device Manager Code 19 Error for HP CDDVDW TS-H653T ATA Device

I am having an issue where my DVD/CD RW has a code 19 error in device manager. The drive still works as I used it to boot a Windows CD and run a startup repair to see if that found anything. I tried uninstalling the drive and then scanning and it failed to install the drive. I also tried uninstalling the drive and rebooting, but it wouldn't install. Any suggestions?

Preferred Solution: Device Manager Code 19 Error for HP CDDVDW TS-H653T ATA Device

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I tried to install support for my Epson 1650 scanner on a Laptop running XP/SP3 but installation has failed.

The 'new hardware found' wizard started; becsuse I had run this scanner on this laptop some months ago, I elected to allow XP to install the driver (usbscan.sys I guess) automatically. The installation failed with a message telling me that the registry information for this device was either incomplete or damaged.

In device manager the device has a yellow warning triangle. When I look at the properties for the device I get a similar message, along with 'Code 19' in the message.

Re-installing the drivers from the Epson product CD does not eliminate the problem. I would really like to avoid having to re-install Windows. Is there some way i can figure out what is wrong in the registry and fix it?

I just noticed that the DVD drive of my Sony laptop (Win 8.1x64) has a yellow exclamation mark in device manager with the following error message:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the device with no luck. Any hint? Thanks

UPDATE: I solved the issue. I googled and found that by deleting the UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters value from the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} the issue is fixed. (In my case I had an UpperFilters)

A:Device Manager Error Code 19

Yes, I can not stress enough how everyone on Windows 8 or even 7 for that matter, should refrain from installing software with drivers that latch onto the default optical driver.

In many cases, it is a bsod waiting to happen.

If software like this is installed, always latest and keep it up to date too.

If anyone knows they have something like this, visit the maker's website and update the software to new.

Hi Folks,

We have a PC in our Graphic's Department that is having a
problem with the USB setup that controls a Xerox Color
Laser printer, an Epson Scanner and a Backpack CD Burner.
The PC is a Compaq Evo running Windows 2000 Pro. It is
completely up to date on all patches and Service Packs.

It started having problems and under Device Manager there
is a Yellow exclamation mark next to USB controller. So I
contacted Compaq and they had me try all kinds of stuff
including BIOS update, etc. and still no luck. They said
it was a software problem.

So I have been on the Windows support page searching for
Code 31 and got hits and tried various stuff with no luck.

On http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-

It mentions to "Remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters
values completely from the following registry key:

and I did that with no luck. There are a BUNCH of other
keys under this and the article mentions removing ALL of
them. Is it safe to do that or will that possibly corrupt
other things ?

Another article at
us;822368 mentions a hotfix that is from June of 2003 and
STILL has not been put in a Service Pack, etc ?? !!

Thanks for any help anyone can shed on this problem !

A:Code 31 Error on USB in Device Manager

Welcome to TSG!!

Found MSKB article # 125174 here

Excerpt on code 31:

Code 31 (new in Windows 98)

This device is not working properly because <device> is not working properly. (Code 31)

To view the properties for <device> and see why it is not working, click Properties."
where <device> is the dependent device that must be fixed in order for this device to work properly.

Solution button: Properties

This code appears when a device is dependent on another device to be functioning correctly. This does not include devices that are enumerated by the parent device.

The Properties button displays the properties for the other device. More than likely, the other device will also have one of these Device Manager error codes. Follow all the recommended solutions. If the devices still do not work, remove them from Device Manager and use the Add New Hardware wizard to redetect them. Finally, consult with the hardware manufacturer for updated drivers.

This may or may not be relevant and you may have already found this but I thought I'd post it just in case.

I am running Windows 7. I have an internal cd-rom and an external. When loading some software today I got a message about an unsigned something wanting to run and I said no. Later I find that both cd-drives state that I have an error code 32. It says a driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32).
I've been all over the windows support site and can't find a way to fix this. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried to update driver, it says the best one is installed.

I made the stupid mistake of trying to install a HP CD writer 9100 on my W2K system, and now neither it nor my Plextor SCSI CDR will work. I uninstalled the 9100 software and removed it, but I still get the device manager error under my Plextor drive:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

This device depends on another device that is not functioning correctly.

I have also tried removing and reinstalling the Plextor but to no avail.
Apparently the old HP software did something bad to my system. Can someone help?

Try these suggestions: -

Try this - Control Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click the device - Driver's Tab -
click Update Drivers (this will likely do nothing) - then RIGHT CLICK the drive - UNINSTALL -
REBOOT this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if drive is not shown continue

Then work your way through these - remember the drive could be bad, could have a loose
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

I have an issue with an HP deskjet D4363. It worked just fine when I bought it in November and then just stopped.... At first it would print 3 or 4 lines and then freeze. Now it does nothing and isn't even recognised by windows as a printer... I have a code 43 error unrecognised device in my device manager under usb.I have uninstalled the printer and drivers, deleted temp files, reinstalled on windows selective start-up with latest driver download from HP website. At first the printer drivers installed and I could access the print menu and attempt to print, but now the driver won't even install and there is no printer even though the drivers have been installed. Tried all available usb ports... at my wits end because I don't understand how it can work one day and the next not!

My laptop is new (bought in december 2011) and has no problems with any other usb devices. I have updated all drivers and applied all updates. I have followed all the HP troubleshooting guides

A:Printer error code 43 in device manager

Your printer should still be under warranty and I would call HP. The error code sounds more like an HP diagnostic code referencing a problem with the printer.

I have tried all 3 of the drivers with same results.  NXP NearFieldProximity Device Manager Error code 31sp70214.exesp71250.exesp70217.exe In Device manager:   This device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.  (Code 31){Operation failed}The requested operation was unsuccessful. On windows 8.1 fully updated. I have restarted.  I have removed the drivers.  I used all drivers from the HP download page.  I have toggled NFC off in the BIOS which makes the device disappear from Device Manager.  Then toggled back on, still no luck.  When uninstalling the drivers using C:\program files\nxpproximityinstaller\uninstall.exe I get 2 unknown devices in device manager Any suggestions.  I have clean installed windows twice trying to fix.

A:NXP NearFieldProximity Device Manager error code 31

Hi: Did you try manually installing the driver? If not, give that a try. If you do not know how to manually install a driver, let's use sp71250. Go to the device manager and click on the problem device. Then click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Click on Have Disk, and browse to:  C:\SWSetup\sp71250\driver_binaries\x64\Proximity\x64\nfcgpiomanager and select the Nfc GPIO Driver and see if the driver installs that way. Then reboot.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Service Pack 1
GPU: Gigabyte 780
CPU: i7 4790
Mobo: Z87-G43 Gaming(MS-7816)

Trying to install the latest Nvidia drivers from their homepage and failing to install. Device Manager points to error code 43 from the properties.

What I think triggered the problem:
I am assuming the source of the problem was when I last had my PC on while playing tales of Beseria, I had normal graphics on and then changed it to v-sync and moved from 8x anti aliasing to 16x, then I would see my screen turn full brown for 2-3 sec then it returns to the game, but then today 1 day later I tried playing Overwatch the same thing happened but instead of returning back to the game the computer just fully froze with no blue screen. I tried to restart my computer I logged on but after that my display turned off and stopped working. I then decided to go into the different methods above then I noticed my card constantly having Error Code 43.

Troubleshooting attempts:
I tried various of methods so far I will list a few such as: removing my graphic card for 10 min to stop electricity flow, using DDU and installing various versions of Nvidia Drivers 2017, Oct-Dec version, and version 376.60. In all the various Nvidia driver version numbers (all windows 7 and 64bit) they have all failed and cannot proceed with the installation (custom installation).

Currently thinking about purchasing a new card, but I think this card can still be fixed.

I've just upgraded my 6 year old computer from Win XP to Win 7.

In Device Manager, there is an item with a yellow caution under Other Devices called "PCI Input Device". The Device Properties indicates Code 28. I searched both the Internet and the computer but couldn't find a driver.

I ran Belarc Advisor and didn't see any hardware errors.

There doesn't seem to be any more specific clues regarding the component causing this error and there also doesn't seem to be any hardware that isn't working. (at least not that I have found)

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

Hello. I installed a few recommended Windows Updates on 1/15. After the update, install, and computer refresh though, my audio stopped working. I went to Control Panel and tried opening up my audio driver, HT Omega Claro Halo, but the driver wouldn't open. I then checked my Device Manager and found the oh so fun error code 52 associated with my Claro Halo audio driver. You know, the one that says,

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

I then rolled back my C drive to a previous restore point I made a few days ago and it was working again which means that something in the update was messing up my audio driver. I re-downloaded the Updates and uninstalled the drivers. I downloaded the latest driver but that didn't work and I am still getting the same error code 52. I know the F8 trick on start-up that disregards the digital signature of drivers but that is only a temporary fix and definitely NOT what I am looking for. I'm looking for a permanent solution. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out here. Thanks.

The initial setup of the FP sensor for Power On PW in Bios and also for logon to Win 10 went smooth. However, it happens in a few days already 3 times that the re logon to Windows after time controlled lock of Windows with FP sensor didn't work. After signing on manually to Windowsusing the keyboard the FP sensor had an error code 45 in the device manager, "currently this hardware device is NOT connected. To fix this problem, reconnect the hardware device."My workaround is shutting down the machine, fire up again, go in Bios settings, just walk through Security Fingerprint settings, change nothing, but nevertheless save changes and let it boot again. The logon process to Windowws then works again and the FP sensor no longer has the error code in the device manager. The workaround works, but is of course annoying anyway... Any idea how to fix this?

I'm so beyond frustrated with this problem that I don't know what else to do. I feel like I've tried everything. My connection is on and off. To fix it I've been going into HP recovery manager, reinstalling the two Realtek network drivers, and restarting my
computer because that's the only thing that works. After I do this my computer will run fine from anywhere from ten minutes to a few hours before I have to do this again. Each time I reset the drivers and restart, the shorter time I have before I have to reset
it again. Eventually it lets me stay connected for a few hours again but I don't know it that's because I've been messing around with my PC or what.

-network discovery is on

-other devices can connect to my internet and I have also reset the modem several times (it is a wireless modem by the way.)

-reinstalled BIOS driver (or setup) from HP website (I'm not really sure what it's called, I just know it's the reboot navigation menu and some tech support worker in a forum said to install it.)

Device Manager: Error Code 10 for Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface

On Windows 8. 1, I had no issues with this speaker. It's a JBL Charge. After upgrading to 10 it worked fine until a reboot when it failed to connect (it pairs, but won't connect, and the speaker doesn't appear as an audio-out option in Sound settings).

The Bluetooth wizard in PC Settings says "Driver error" next to the speaker icon.

Poking around in device manager, I see this error:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Conflicting Address Range}
The specified address range conflicts with the address space."

The only references I find to this error online are for different (and quite old) version of windows, and seem unrelated to Bluetooth.

I can't even look at the "resources" tab for help because it appears to have vanished in Windows 10!

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm trying to fix an hp pavillion dv6704nr laptop running windows vista home premium. It has the little red x on the speaker in the lower right hand corner. I have tried downloading the current audio drivers for the computer but every time I try to install the driver, I get an error that says the device couldn't be found.

The first time i restarted the computer, after the driver installation failed, the audio came back and worked fine, until I had to restart the computer. Now I keep getting the same error and nothing i have found so far online has helped.

There are no yellow triangles in the device manager and the device list isn't showing the category for "sound, video and gaming etc." at all.

Check in device manager under DVD/CD-ROM drives and see if it is either still showing or displaying a yellow triangle.

Did you apply any Windows Updates before it stopped working?

Attempted to flash the DVD firmware?

Was it showing any signs of faulty behavior prior to it stopping? (increasing noise, longer than normal operation time, not reading or burning correctly)

If it's not software related, sometimes DVD players just up and die.

Ok, so I have this DVD/CD-rom drive, & I`ve been burning CD-R/DVD-R for over six months on my new ASUS Z53E series laptop, runing Vista Home Premium, because that`s the discs I`m used to buying. Now I find out that there`s this other option: CD+R/DVD+R
Out of curiosity, I looked on my CD/DVD drawer, & writen really, really small, there`s this DVD+R DL. So I decided to buy DVD+R, thinking that may be they`re better, because that`s what is writen on the DVD drawer. Tried burning a dvd, but it doesn`t happen. Should I change some settings on my Nero/DVD flick , may be the book type? or do I need to let the computer know that I`m burning +, not -
I just wonder why I can write on -, when what is writen on the drawer is a +, but I cannot write on DVD+R.
I hope I explained myself more or less, THANKS!!

Although not precisely the same model (D vs. H), the following thread discusses essentially the same problem, so possibly the recommended solutions will work for you: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D ATA Device.

You may be having troubles with your device drivers, firmware, and/or software. Go to Device Manager by going to start / search box and type device manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears. Check each device for a red x, yellow ! or white ?. These identify devices with problems (probably drivers, but also conflicts or something else). Click on each for further details and troubleshooting tips. If you need to get drivers, firmware, and/or software (and you should get whatever applies to this device and any others you have time to do - they may help in ways beyond just resolving this problem), do so from the computer vendor or device manufacturer (NOT from Microsoft Updates). Proceed as follows to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm. Once you have the drivers, you can install them through Device Manager as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

If that doesn't work, then please post any error messages from the Event Viewer concerning the drive (Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer). Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.petri.co.il/vista-event-viewer.htm. Look in the System section.

If that doesn't work, try a ... Read more

As i already stated, my drive doesn't read any dvd's anymore.
I've already tried to:
-Remove Upper/lower filters (Lower filters were missing, could this be the problem?)
-Switching the sata ports from were the device was connected.
-Upgrading the firmware of the dvd player
-Upgrading the Bios
-Asked here
-Some stupid things.

Windows and the bios do see this drive and give it the correct name.
I've already tried this with an other drive and she had this problem to.

So please help!!

Try this:
Click on white flag next to Windows clock. Now on "Open Action Center". Click on "Troubleshooting". At "Hardware and Sound", click on "Configure a Device". Windows will do the rest, but it may ask you something, so pay atention.

I just bought one of those new sprint connection cards. A Novatel Wireless (Merlin S620) Anyways, My computer is made by IC Power.
xxx.icpowerhouse.com Model CN5560. I have never heard of them until last night. I picked it up at Wal-Mart for like 600. I upgraded the ram and it works fine. It has 1 gig in it now(was 256). The laptop seems to run great.

Now I installed the sprint software, restarted, put in the Connection card. XP dectects it, says it must restart to complete the device install. I go into device manager and it is listed as
"NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller"
Manufacturer "NEC"
Location "PCI bus 129, device 0, function, 0"

Under device status it says

"This device cannont find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

The device is listed TWICE in the device manager, the only differance on the 2nd device is fuction 0 is changed to function 1.

Now I called sprint tech support, he said this error could not be fixed. So before I bring the laptop back, I would like to know more info on this error and see if it really can't be fixed. Even tho the laptop is cheap, it still seems to work pretty good. I have never seen this error before, but right now it's not looking good. Any ideas how to get this thing working?

A:Windows XP Device Manager Code 12, Fixable?

This is what Microsoft has to say about this:

Two devices have been assigned the same input/output (I/O) ports, the same interrupt, or the same Direct Memory Access channel (either by the BIOS, the operating system, or a combination of the two). This error message can also appear if the BIOS did not allocate enough resources to the device (for example, if a universal serial bus (USB) controller does not get an interrupt from the BIOS because of a corrupt Multiprocessor System (MPS) table).
You can use Device Manager to determine where the conflict is and disable the conflicting device.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooting wizard.

This is actually fairly common. The first place I would start is within the BIOS itself. You can disable anything here that you do not use. This will help free resources. Afterward you can boot the computer into safe mode (tap F8 every 2 seconds to receive the advanced startup menu). Go to your device manager here. Look for duplicate devices that you recognize...such as two of the same NIC cards or four display adapters. Remove anything that is unnecessary. If you have a question about something...post it here. Also remove both listings for the Sprint device.

Hiya, i've been doing a bit of investigating into why i can't discover my MyBookWorld Edition 2TB. Hopped into device Manager an ther's a few devices code 10, Unable to start. Heres a Piccy

Not sure what the go with it, i was thinking about unistalling some of the network adaptors as some of them are not needed (i think) and maybe reinstalling because of the Code 10. Btw, i just solved some Blue screen Probs, running MSE as Norton Internet Security 2009 Firewall was resulting in one of the Blue screens, Im using latest WD Discovery Software 1.61, Updated All drivers most of them are current im pretty sure. The MyBookWorld device has just had a firmware update 01.01.16.

Is there anyway of figuring out which are out of date? I don't update the Devices through Device Manager or windows Update as i've been told.

Not sure where to go or what do? Im running the external HDD Through an Access Point, where the network is transmitted from. The HDD can be accessed on another laptop on the network wirelessly and by cable. I have tried both with the win& Laptop but not working. Btw, IT WAS WORKING before drivers got updated. Im Hoping the community can help me solve this Prob or at least find whats wrong with the devices. Any help is much appreciated and im sure is gonna be help.

After the most recent Windows update, I noticed that the USB wireless keyboard and mouse I normally keep connected to this netbook would not work; literally an overnight change, as they worked normally the previous day. Checked in device manager, and there were two Code 39 error entries ("Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.") for each port. To attempt repair, I first tried Microsoft Support's suggestion: uninstall the drivers, then reinstall them - this led to the same result. Next, on assumption something in the update may have caused the problem, I uninstalled the "Cumulative Update" (did not uninstall "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool" nor "Security Update for Adobe Flash Player"), then retried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers. Again, no resolution.Does anyone have any other suggestions for resolving this issue?  Thank you!

Hello All,

I am running Windows 8.1 on a laptop and almost always use a USB mouse. The aforementioned mouse has never had any problems before, and was working perfectly yesterday. Today, however, I plugged in the mouse and was told that: "The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned", and the mouse was not working, however it did light up as it does when plugged into something. I restarted the computer and tried again, but to no avail. In device manager, where the mouse is usually shown, it simply said "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor request failed)". I updated the drivers of both the USB port the mouse was plugged into and also attempted to update the drivers of the device, but both times it was said to be "up to date". When plugged into another laptop, the mouse worked fine, and when I plugged a pen drive into the port, it also worked fine. All 4 of my ports work fine with a pen drive, but I recieve this error whichever port I plug the mouse into. I have trawled multiple forums to try and find a solution, but none have worked.

I found a suggestion on the MS help forums which suggested to uninstall every single USB device listed in device manger. I am now no longer getting the issue mentioned above. Instead NONE of my USB ports work with ANYTHING, the mouse included, but also my hard drives and pen drives. The mouse still works fine in othe computers. In device manager, all the usual devices are showing up a... Read more

So a few days ago I received alarms from avast saying that my memory was infected. Consequently, they prompted me to move the file to chest, which i did but the same file or files kept showing up and i got so frustrated that i stupidly clicked on delete. Things seemed fine, I could still go online and browse normally. However, I noticed that I had no sound so I thought I should restart to fix it. However, when I did that, my desktop screen showed up like it would have been if it was in safe mode, but the words safe mode were not anywhere to be seen.
So I'm thinking that missing files in the registry caused some sort of problem...

At this point, I could no longer go online. My usb ports were not responsive whenever I connected a flash drive. So I searched around and did what some threads suggested. I unistalled the ports from device manager and added them through "add hardware wizard", after a couple of tries, the system started recognizing usb flash drives and the likes. The same problem was seen for the DVD/CD-R drive (the yellow exclamation point that had CODE 19 attached to it). So I unistalled it too and tried to add it but it didnt work. So i read somewhere that I should delete the upper and lower filters from my registry, which I did andthe device manager no longer had the error. However, now, although I insert a disc into the DVD/CD-R drive, i hear the disc spin a bit but nothing shows up, as if the system was not responding to it.

Also, in my device m... Read more

A:Device Manager Code 39 Chronic problem with USB devices

First step, Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Create a restore point and name it something like "Before USB Fix". This is to bail you out if something goes wrong during the following process and makes things worse.

Create a file with NOTEPAD containing the following lines and save it as FIX.REG
-------------------------- Use text after this line --------------------------------

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment]

-------------------------- Use text before this line --------------------------------

Double click on FIX.REG and say yes to the Merge Into Registry question.

Unplug ALL USB devices.
Open Device Manager.
View, Show Hidden Devices.
Uninstall all devices under USB Controllers.
Uninstall all devices under Disk Drives that you know are not present.
Uninstall all devices under Storage Volumes. Say no to any reboot prompts until you are finished. Also, if a Storage Volume doesn't uninstall, ignore it and move to the next one.
If you have a yellow ? with unknown devices, uninstall all of the entries there as well.

When this is done, reboot TWICE.

Reconnect the USB devices and see if they're recognized properly.

NOTE: If you have a USB keyboard and/or mouse, you'll have to modify the instructions and leave enough parts for those to function. I don't have one yet, so I haven't had time to modify th... Read more

I've had Vista on my PC (AMD Athlon64 3000 Skt754 OEM) for over a year and until a week ago my DVDRW drive worked perfectly. Now it behaves not so perfectly and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it.
Upon boot, the DVDRW drive icon appears in My Computer like normal and Device Manager plainly lists the model under DVD drives, but pushing the eject button on the tower (or right click Eject) causes the drawer to open and that's it. The button or right click method will not retract the drawer, the icon has already disappeared from My Computer and Device Manager no longer displays an entry for DVD drives, but instead, further down the list, shows an Other Device > Unknown Device highlighted with a yellow warning sign. Right click > Properties: tells me Code 28 - the driver for this device is not installed. Following the links from this dialogue box, not too surprisingly, solves nothing.
If I restart the system immediately, the boot screen lingers for quite some time at the point where the DVD drive is detected (which never happened before the drive stopped working) and heading straight to My Computer or Device Manager already shows the errors, but if start system after several hours of shutdown, it loads as described above - all fine and normal until I try to engage with the drive and then it gets lost again.

The model of the drive is Sony/optiarc AD 5170A.

I'm told I cannot reinstall the individual driver for this model as it doesn't exist (no C... Read more

I just upgraded my vista to Windows 7 and then the graphic card in device manager showed a code 10.

I tried reinstalling the driver and now it shows me: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I have Acer Aspire 3810TG.
It has 2 video cards: ATI radeon mobility HD 4330, the one which is having this problem. And the other one is integrated Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family. Probably meant for using when working on power saver or smth, don't know.

I tried to disable both of them and them and when I enable ATI, it says no errors anymore but still the highest resolution is 1024x768 so I'm guessing its either not working actually or it is meant for those video cards to work at the same time, then enabled Intel afterwards and ATI starts giving me this code 43 again.

Any suggestions?
Windows 7 is a 32bit.

A:graphic card in device manager showed a code 10 and 43

genesisnavarro, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Your laptop uses what is known as switchable graphics and the driver for both video cards needs to be installed for either to work properly, unless there is a setting in the bios that allows you to turn on of them off (not many do). As far as Windows 7 drivers for both you can find both the Intel and ATI drivers for your model here,

Just select your model, then select any Windows 7 32 bit from the dropdown to locate them.
