Artefacts, mouse and keyboard going off under load and weird behaviour

Q: Artefacts, mouse and keyboard going off under load and weird behaviour

Hello guys.

I shall kindly ask for your help as so far any method of troubleshooting has failed me.

So whenever I enter a game, after a few seconds I start getting visual artifacts (black lines, etc). That might be ocasionally followed by general audio stuttering, as well as mouse and keyboard going completely undetected anymore by the system, even though, after this happens, I can still hear the sound playing in the background, apparently the system is doing fine.

My system also freezes pretty much completely when I use the Prime95 FFT test. I know Prime95 puts a lot of stress on the system, but complete hang up should not happen as far as I know?

Another thing I have noticed is download speeds are sometimes extremely slow (definitely slower than usual), even lagging on YT stream and such.

Event Viewer isn't helping me isolate the issue either.

PC was running fine and smooth until this started happening. Didn't change anything in it's configuration hardware or software (until this happened and I decided to format).

So far I:

- Reformatted my PC (running Windows 7).
- Made sure all my drivers are up to date.
- Tested my RAM with memtest x86 , turned up clean, 0 errors.
- Cleaned my PC of dust >_>.
- Made sure temperatures are in range.
- Set back CPU to default frequency (OCd it to 3.0 from 2.5 GHz / core, but this happened one or two years ago, everything went fine until now)
- Tried underclocking my GPU
- Tested with Prime95 FFT Test, PC hung up.
- Made sure Power Settings were on High Performance.

Specs:
Intel Core2Quad Q8300 - LGA 775
Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR
Bios : Award Software International F7 / 08 / 31 / 2009
8 GB RAM - PC2-6400 (400 MHz)
Geforce GTS 250 , 1 GB VRAM, 256 bits Bus-width

What do I do?
How do I isolate this issue, aside from going to a friend and replacing every piece one by one as that would take huge amounts of time?

Any ideas?

Thank you.

LE: Any kind of FFT test in Prime95 leads to the system freezing up.

I'm assuming it's between the CPU and the Power Supply?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Posted this in several Windows/Tech forums but have been unable to resolve so far. If anyone here can help, I'd be most grateful.

Been having a weird problem with the mouse for a few weeks. Happens several times a day.

When I go into any application where you (use the mouse) to select one item, several random items are selected all at the same time. In Thunderbird, for example, selecting one folder, selects 2 or 3. In explorer, selecting one item highlights many more; and when I click on Firefox (to re-open the window) it kicks off another instance of the program; clicking on a pinned tab (in Firefox), doesn't open it but protects/locks it instead.

Closing & restarting the progs fix it, but it affects every running program, so I usually end up logging off and back on.

Swapped the mouse & tried a different USB port. It can't be the keyboard (I hope) because logging off/on rebooting always solves the problem until the next time.

Any ideas as to what's causing this ??

Must be the keyboard.

Have you try to change your keyboard?

Have you tried using you computer with a difference mouse?
If changing that doesn't work try open the Mouse Properties in the control panel and see if anything is obscured.
And of you none of those do anything, try searching it in Google if you haven't already.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am facing the mouse weird problem from last 2 weeks. I would appreciate your response on this.

Problem : Mouse left click sometimes work as right click, automatically right click appears on desktop, browser anywhere.

Already Done : Uninstalled not required programs like Java, IBM Java 32 version are few of them.
Full system scan using Semantic antivirus, Spybot program in Window safe mode many times, the mouse start working perfectly sometime but again the mouse problem starts.

Ok, just today, my mouse started acting very weird, EVEN AFTER I REINSTALLED MY OS! Here are the problems:

My mouse flickers a lot, and when i right click, the window flickers. In other words, the right-click window opens and closes really fast.
When I click once on a desktop icon to highlight it, it automatically opens it.
When i open the start menu, and when i put the mouse over something, it automatically opens it.
Sometimes, the computer opens the same thing 80-90 times.
These problems come and go within the same session.

I've done a full os reinstall from a recovery drive. Im doing a full scan with Norton, Trend micro house call, avg, and adaware.
Please help me, i dont know whats going on.
My computer is a emachines windows xp. 512 mb ram, and amd 3200 cpu.

I bought a HDD and got it replaced , it got fixed but the problem is when i try to login the keyboard behaviour starts to annoy me whenever my screen is at the windows login screen my keyboard suddenly starts working but obviously not hardware problem or maybe it is. I found a temporary solution for it i just have to press my sleep button and after that the keyboard is working. How do i fix this ?

The keyboard also has this weird behaviour when some of the keys doesn't work with together such as when i try to press multiple keys "A" and "1" when i hold A and press 1 , the 1 key doesn't work so as with 2 but 3 works fine and so on. Also problems with right shift key when i try to make a semi colon the kayboard has this weird delay and i'm not even able to hold both of them which doesn't actually writes semi colon but right shift key works fine on most of the keys. I have a list of windows update but i haven't installed it because the windows keeps saying " Pending install "

Hi, I am currently struggling with delayed display of letters I type and wuerd behaviour. Sometimes it lags for a little bit longer (on a given letter), sometimes it does not - but it happens all the time. Also when I press ctrl-shift-left arrow to select a word - nothing happens. I do it again - one word is selected. I do it again - two word are selected. Then I press ctrl-shift-right arrow - oops, another word to the left is selected. It works both ways this way - like there is one-step-lag in that matter.Another thing which might be helpful is that after typing a word, bunc of letters or anything the "writing marker" (vertical line) does not blink for a moment, and after a while it begins. I do not know whether it may point to faulty behaviour, althought I have not spotted this in any of the PC's I have ever had. This behaviour happens both on the internal and external keyboard - it is not hardware.Thank you for your help.

Hi, pls forgive the length of the report - but it may be useful...

Yesterday my keyboard/mouse started misbehaving. The mouse would often, but not always, bring up the properties window if I double-clicked to open a folder. When I left-clicked to open a menu, the menu appeared but quickly disappeared, I don't have time to select anything! The keyboard at the same time started to alternate between working properly and messing about. E.g. only some keys work, and they sometimes, er, DO things rather than type letters (like make the IExlporer go to full screen). Also if I hit the "a" key, I'd often get an "?" instead, and some keys gave nothing at all.

So, with great difficulty, I turned on the on-screen keyboard and saw that the keyboard flashes between normal mode and (I don't know what to call it, but..) "Alt mode"(?) where only a handful of keys are operational - including the Alt and, i think, Ctrl keys.

When my mouse is at rest, the keyboard tends to spend it's time in this odd mode. When the mouse is moving the keyboard goes to QWERTY mode.

So now my PC is practically unusable (I'm writing this on someone else's). I have to be constantly moving the mouse to type anything or to select menus.

I checked mouse & keyboard properties. Sticky keys isn't on - and I can't see anything untoward about any of the onscreen properties of the keyboard or mouse. I disconnected the keyboard and mouse and used different ones but the proble... Read more

It could be a power issue, or if they are USB devices and your system meets the requirements on this page there is a fix that may work: You encounter problems when you move data over USB from a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer that has an NVIDIA USB EHCI chipset and at least 4GB of RAM

Hey guys. I'm having a problem with my mouse and keyboard in windows 7. I've been running W7 for nearly a month now without ever experiencing this problem. Just recently during a 4-5 hour long gaming session my game closed down without an error message and suddenly everything went haywire. My keyboard acted incredibly strange and so did my mouse. An example would be that all my numeric keys turned into their shift+number counterparts and my caps locks was off when the led glowed green. When I tried to start a program using the left-mouse click it highlighted several programs and upon double-clicking instead of running I recieved the properties of the program instead.

So far in attempt to fix this I've tried the following:
Twinkering with the keyboard and mouse settings
Twinkering with accessibility options
Uninstalling and installing the default ps/2 and mouse drivers
With no success Does anybody know what could be wrong or how I could solve this?

Thanks beforehand.

Have you tested a different keyboard and or mouse?
make sure they are plugged into the correct plug.
unplug the keyboard, move outside, gently tap on one corner,
how much crud falls out...
1. it simply might need cleaned.
Blow and see if any lint appears, (see #1).
check for frays.. the cable might be going bad.

On so since about 2 weeks ago ive been experiencing weird occurrences with my mouse and keyboard. From time to time the hardware acts weird but turning off windows and on again helps with it for abit but then come backs it comes on and goes away roughly once a hour for 5 minutes.

What happens on keyboard is the delete key doesn't work or doesn't type anything what ever i click on the keyboard or the letter for example instead A does an A with a line above it.

Or the mouse when it happens the left click sometime double clicks or when click on link to just switch on it open the link in a new window or right button does nothing.

I was using this mouse for 8 months and the keyboard for 2 years and 8 months with both no such problems before. The mouse is Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB and the keyboard is Corsair K50.

So far i used C Cleaner to turn off start up programs and delete some registry, also used Malware Anit-Bytes is deleted some files but still occurs, also adwcleaner it deleted files but still same and i also tried JRT and nothing still same errors occur.

I didnt have such problems before the Windows Updates but then it was fine 2 weeks with them updates.

Hi-
i did try to find a thread concerning this but failed.
it's also a bit hard to explain- not in my native language:

i recently bought a usb microsoft Keyboard & mouse (connected via a usb external hub 'station')
they seemed to work great for a few weeks, but in the last 2 weeks something is wrong:

first, the keyboard problem:
when i type, i suddenly get a weird keyboard response.
let's say i was going to type:"my name is Roei".
in the middle of typing i get something like this:
"my nammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" - for no apparent reason !
i type correctly, no mistakes or over pushing the 'm'.
it happened many times, quite suddenly, every minute or so.

and the mouse problem:
i get those 'mini lags' when the pointer freezes for a second, and then jumping to where i am. also happens within every minute or so.

this is very annoying and frustrating, and i NEVER had those problems beforrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre (see ?! that's the real time keyboard going nuts !!)

i think those two issues are related to something in my system, but i can't figure it out. is this the graphic card? the usb ? (all drivers updated)

please help !!
thanks. (i think i've written down all my system specs in my profile)

A:weird usb keyboard and mouse problem :(

Sounds like a bad keyboard. It's annoying when it happens with brand-new gear, but at least it's covered under the warranty, right? I'd see about doing a warranty return/replacement, or else get a refund and buy a different keyboard/mouse combo.

I've been having problems with my mice and keyboards for a while now. It's like the thngs are haunted or something. Out of the blue i'm typng something somewhere and suddenly I can't type anymore or some letters stop working. Hi All,

I have a strange problem with a new Pixxo wireless keyboard and mouse. When I first turn on the computer, the keyboard works to enter bios and move around. But when Vista starts, the keyboard and mouse do not connect. Pressing connect buttons, turning off and on don't seem to help. But when I unplug the receiver from the usb port, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in, everything works fine.

Pixxo tech support had me check power management options on the USB root hub entries in device manager, but that didn't seem to be the problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

First new does not mean that it works. Try it with another computer and try another keyboard with your current computer. The results will be self explanatory
If that does not lead to a solution. Go to search type device manager and make sure that the driver is up to date and no yellow warning markers near it.

I had a wireless Logitec mouse/keyboard combo on my daughters computer. WAY too soon, the mouse crapped out, completely non functional (yes i checked the batteries lol). Now i cannot get any type of mouse or keyboard to work. The logitec keyboard works, but after logging in to the admin account from boot, it's useless. All I can get it to do is CTR ALT DEL where I can then use the arrow keys to manipulate it to shut down.

When I get to the admin account from boot, the found new hardware wizard pops up which would allow me to let XP install drivers (I'm just trying to use a generic mouse and keyboard at this point), but I don't know how to manipulate the cursor to get it to start using just the keyboard. After replacing them back I switched the machine ON, and I could see the flashing light on the Keybard, and the mouse light also ON (red). I'm posting this on behalf of my boss so if I appear uninformed it is, quite simply, because I am. But I will try to explain the problem nonetheless...

Boss has installed a basic wireless network along with Win 98 ICS for internet connection sharing over the network. His desktop PC is the main PC and a remote laptop is the client. The network works fine but the laptop cannot access the Internet and now, the desktop can only access Google. However, we can ping other sites.

Any idea what might be going on?

A:Weird IE 5.5 Behaviour

Please see the following attachment for your approval. It may be that the network simply needs some settings changed or the network just re-done correctly. I asssume both computers have Network Interface Cards (NIC) installed.

Internet Connection Sharing

Nowadays with PC prices so low and computers becoming a common household item, it is not unusual anymore to have multiple PCs per household so that the whole family can take advantage of it and doesn't have to draw straws, spin the bottle or use more violent methods to decide who gets to use the PC to play a game, check e-mail, work on a school project, etc. Or maybe you work in a small office with only one Internet connection, yet several employees need to access the Internet throughout the day to check their stock portfolio, sport scores, what's playing at the movies that night, or gather other equally important information.

One problem that arises with multiple PCs is that most people still only have one phone line to use for dial-up access to the Internet which prevents multiple PCs from being online simultaneously. Who wants to shell out money every month for an extra phone line, buy another modem, and have a second account with your ISP? Thankfully, there is a solution to this problem: Internet Connection Sharing. It allows you to let multiple PCs use the Internet through only one modem and one phone line.

Network it!

Over the last week my pc has been suddenly freezing up whether it was something in a game I did or something I clicked in a browser. This can happen 5 minutes after I start it up or after 5 hours.

Other programs will still be clickable but the taskbar will start to randomly go in and out of focus, flashing, and not be clickable.
Then, JUST my browser internet dies. It just forever says 'Connecting...' until I reboot. But chat programs and games will still be online.
During the freezing episodes I try going to Ctrl + Alt + Delete and it takes ages, then an error comes up saying shut down and restart options are missing.

When I try doing a system restore it fails saying it couldn't copy my windows folder.

I tried doing a system restore through the F8 boot option and that worked, it said it failed, but then when I logged in it said it worked.
Also everything seems to be fine in safe mode, internet never dies. That's what is making me suspect a rootkit or something.

Does this sound like a virus is messing with my pc? what should I do?
I have tried:

Malwarebytes full scan

Hi.

I'm home for Xmas holidays, and trying to do some work with my parent's machine.

I've just installed MS Live Messenger and noticed a very strange behaviour. Quite often (but not every time), once I start windows, my computer doesn't let me run many applications. Basically all those ones internet related. For instance I cannot run the dial-up thing to connect to the internet or I can't run IE. But I can run Word, I can open folders. I cannot open my computer's properties but I can browse C:\. This is very strange. I checked CPU usage and it's 0%. So I don't really know what it is.

This machine is running SP1, and following the instructions I didn't update (also because I have 56k dial-up connection). I installed ad-aware but no antivirus (and can't download, it's too big, I guess over 30Mb).

Can you please help, I guess there's some weird thing underneath.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello carbonem,

The issue of no installed Anti-Virus program must be resolved. Connecting to the Internet without antivirus protection is a "Welcome" doormat for malware. It can take as little as eight seconds to infect an unprotected computer and we'd be wasting our time trying to clean this system without an AV onboard.

Let's begin with fixing what I see first.

Please copy this page to Notepad and save to your desktop for reference as you will not have any browsers open while you are carrying out portions of these instructions.

It will be well worth your time to download the following tool as it will assist us in removing the infection I am able to see in your log.

Download AVG Anti Spyware

Use the link at the bottom of the page under "AVG Anti-Spyware Free for Windows"

Install AVG Anti Spyware
Double-click the icon on Desktop to launch AVG
On the top of the main screen click Shield

it is not U3 because i tested my sister's u3 and it works fine, it is not the pen drive because it works on XP and Mac OSX. it is not that my computer cant mount pen drives, because everyone else's works... and i hav attempted al ports, using hubs, KVM's nothing seems to work o.o

the cd drive that is mounted for u3 to start up will mount but the usb wont, cannot access through computer manage> disk management

Not sure in which forum to place this post, here goes. I have a question about windows 7. Everything is fine. It has this behaviour, this feature, which I've always had and I was wondering if everyone has it. I will proceed to describe it:

I open a window with explorer, let's say it's E:\films. The folder has maybe 100 files. The window I open gives me three columns of files, let's say. If I want to see more (alphabetically sorted, BTW) I have to use the bar at the bottom of the window with my mouse and move over to the other files. All fine and dandy.

Now... if i click on a file or folder which is in the 2nd or 3rd column, windows will not open it, rather it will shift that column (say number 3) to the extreme left of the window. I am now viewing columns 3,4 and 5. Correct? So I then can proceed to open the file or folder which was previously in column number 3 with no problem.

But why this behaviour?

Hello!

Before 3 days i reinstalled my pc because it was infected with bitcoin miners and trojans, and today when I was playing a game, a blue screen appeared about a kernel inpage eror. After the computer restarted itself, during startup, my MBAM Premium (trial) crashed and my MSE was disabled. I tried starting MBAM but it crashed after issuing a scan. I started it again but this time enabled the self-protection module and it did not crash. As for MSE - The real time protection was disabled, there was a message describing why, i don't remember it, i enabled it but it was still red, demanding me to update the program, and so i did and then it became green. I issued a scan with both programs, nothing was found so I came here.
I did not copy the crash message for MBAM, I only remember that the type of error was an Inpage error.

I'd like to point out that I do not have any torrent client installed or having downloaded torrent files and that I have a static Ip address.

I used WinDbg to read the blue screen dump i got from Windows:

Presumably Belarc regards such applications as insecure. Simple solution (and stay legal in the process) is to remove BitComet.

Couple of weeks back my machine started to act strangely. At one point I?ve lost connection with the internet. I?m using 3G broadband via huawei modem as no other broadband is available where I live. Struggled for hours to regain it and even when I did had the trouble to load some pages. Had difficulties to launch the browsers in the first place. Ever since broken connections happen frequently. I have to fight for hours to re-establish it. Either the application can?t initialize modem or the modem can?t connect to a server. Have to restore system to a previous point every six hours or so, to get connected. What?s strange about it, I ?m using NOD32 AV and it doesn?t pick up anything. MBAM scan doesn?t show anything either. Been doing on- line scans. Came back clean. There is definitely something messing up with my system but I can?t find out what. I probably won?t be able to sort it out on my own. That?s why I waned to ask you guys, very kindly, to give me a hand.

Hi All
I have a very intriguing problem (to say the least)
I have a server runiing Windows 2003 Standard Edition
I have some backup software installed on it..other than Eset and the backup software thats about it as far as software is concerned.
Here is the kicker..There is a subfolder within the installation folder of the backup software called \webapps
Within this \webapps folder there are 3 subfolders...as below
\webapps\ROOT
\webapps\obs
\webapps\rps

Every day at 9:45am precisely..the ROOT folder disappears from the server..i have seen it literally delete/disappear right before my eyes at exactly 9:45am
In addition the time date/time stamp modified on the other 2 folders also change to 9:45am too
i am convinced its a virus..Eset found the Conficker worm and deleted it..there has been no other symptoms other than what i described above and ESet has not found anything else.
I have disabled Task scheduler on the server but that has had no effect...
Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks

Symptoms on an older W98SE computer seem to be keyboard/mouse related but I've swapped out both so I'm guessing something else is wrong.
All symptoms are intermittent:
-web page links won't open
-mouse left click sometimes does nothing eg when I right click to copy-the mouse left click won't activate the copy function
-in Excel, instead of selecting one cell, the mouse left click highlights several cells
-when I use alt/tab to switch to another app., I have to hit the alt key again for it to move.
-occasional freeze ups that only a manual shut down will cure.

Kids use this computer so there could be all kinds of junk on it. Is there a reliable place to get an older version of hjt that's compatible with W98? Would love to post a log for an expert to look at.
Thanks for any help!

If you're logging in with a Microsoft account -- that is, the same Microsoft account -- on both machines, it may be synching your themes and settings automatically across all those devices. That's been a feature since the inception of Windows 10 (and may even go back to Windows 8 or 8.1 -- I can't remember; indeed they do, according to the How-to Geek). Today while I was playing a game on my PC I heard the Windows alert sound, but when I checked to look there was no alert to be seen. Shortly afterwards my PC was disconnected from the Internet. Chrome said that my device is offline, this usually never happens. My phone could still connect to the internet without any problems though. I checked the recently modified files on my PC and there were changes made to both my LocalService and NetworkService folders around the time I heard the alert sound. Also a few changes in System32.
I ran Avira and Malwarebytes scans and neither found anything. Just last week something similar happened where my PC was connected to an unknown network and was playing windows alert and Skype sounds that were not caused by me. A member of this forum said that it was a malware issue. I have since reset my PC twice, removing all programs and personal files.
My PC is connected to my router via LAN and has no Wi-Fi connectivity. Could there be something wrong with my network?

Esprimo 15" Laptop: Intel Celeron 570 2.27 GHz 1.75GB RAM
XP Professional Version 2002, SP 3
HDD: 149Gb; 13.9Gb remaining

A number of odd things have been occurring with my laptop in the past couple of days, starting with several desktop icons not displaying their normal image, including those in the 'Start' menu. On two occasions clicking Start | All Programs produced an entire blank area, then moving the mouse within the blank area showed up randon program names.

I get no response from trying to open my preferred browser Google Chrome and my 2nd choice of Firefox (v 9.0.1), just shows the Mozilla Crash Reporter window everytime I try to open that browser. I am able to access the net with IE 8 and Safari.

Fearing an imminent HDD failure, I plugged in my WD Passport external HDD (500Gb) and was met with, "The paging filke is too small for this operation to complete".

When trying to implement a number of Windows updates, a partly displayed box appeared on the screen with only the word Close visible, which didn't respond to being clicked.

It's also failed several times to respond to Start|Turn off Computer and on other occasions only the buttons relating to Stand By | Turn Off | Restart are barely discernible on the screen.

As for the remaining space on the HDD, it's disappearing in front of my eyes! Yesterday I started with 14.9Gb and I've lost 1Gb virutally overnight and I've only created/saved a single 24Kb Word doc. In the C:\ drive alongside... Read more

hiberfil.sys is the saved file for Hibernation. If you do not hibernate your laptop you can go to Start/Run and type powercfg.cpl and press enter. Go to the Hibernate tab and uncheck Enable Hibernate to regain that space.
Pagefile.sys is you virtual memory paging file. Go to Start/Run and type sysdm.cpl and press enter. Go to Advanced/Performance/Settings/Advanced/Virtual Memory/Change make sure it is set to System Managed.
To see what is using up your HDD space use Space Sniffer
As for your other problems. Go to Start/Run and type SFC /scannow and press enter. Put the XP CD in and it will replace any missing files from the CD.
After that is done go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /F and press Enter. In the Command Prompt type a Y for Yes and restart the computer. Check Disk will fix any file errors. Then when that is done, do a Disk Cleanup, you will need at least 15% free HDD space on your C: drive to be able to defrag and run it efficiently. This is a very odd problem.

Brand new PC straight out of the box: HP Pavilion slimline; Core i3, 4 GB RAM, Win 7 HP 64 bit and 1.3 TB HDD.

Uninstalled all the foistware inc trial of Norton security. Transferred all data over from old PC, connected to the router (which is a firewall and also does SPI) then plugged and played the Brother MFC and then installed Office 2007 Pro.

Immediately after that reboot, Windows won't display programs on the screen. You click the start menu - it flickers up for a fraction of a second then disappears again. The same thing happens with all other programs, as well as task manager, control panel etc etc.

The same thing happens in safe mode so no joy there - I can get control panel up by holding down the ctrl and win keys while I click, but when I try to click on system restore it also just flickers up then disappears again before you can click on anything.

Booted with F8 and tried recovery options - repair your computer. When you select that option it gets as far as the screen where you have to choose a keyboard layout, but then before you can click anything a box comes up "Are you sure you wish to continue shutting down your computer?" with only yes/no options. No matter how many times you click No it keeps coming back up again - it will only accept yes for an answer, so you can't get at any of the recovery options.

The system came with no CD/DVD disk to reinstall Windows, so I took the drive out and mounted it in a US... Read more

Have my Music Library set up - Folder in the library is not the default folder its another one that i've manually added..

If I search for a specific group - say Kraftwerk - I get all the music with said group. At this point I'm prompted to add the location to the Index to speed the search.. OK so lets do that..

Now repeat the search - no results.. Hmm OK - maybe the Index building process is a little slow - go away for 12hrs (assuming I can leave Windows 7 alone for that long) - come back repeat the search - nothing again.. Grr..

OK remove the folder from the Index - repeat the Search - now get all the music for Kraftwerk..

Bloody annoying...

I think that in Win 7 the windows behave in a weird way. I'm not sure, perhaps it's something to do with that aero functionality.

I often click and drag, trying to adjust something with a slider, going back and forth several times to find the optimal value, or dragging layers up and down a list etc.
In Win 7, when I do that, the application tends to flicker as if it was undecided whether to go to the background or not.

Just yesterday I drew an energetic stroke on my tablet and my Photoshop closed itself without any further comment. Didn't even ask me to save my file.

Sometimes an application disappears for half a second and then turns up again, but its icon has moved its place in the taskbar.

And things like that...
It's driving me crazy. Is there something wrong with my system, or can I just switch off some weird function?

A:Weird window behaviour?

strange, I'm no expert but maybe its your Tablet causing Windows to function erratically?

EDIT: I have had many people tell me that Windows Vista and Windows 7 has issues with Tablets when I was looking to buy one when I had Vista and planning to get Windows 7. I was told to wait a while until a Tablet was confirmed as compatible.

RELEVANCY SCORE 54.4

Hey guys. I have a problem since some months which is that when I try to upload a file with IE the PC goes like crazy and the Memory Usage etc "booms" up. Let me explain it. Last time, I was trying to upload a file (using an site uploader) to Rapidshare (and others), and seems like IE was Not Responding so I aborted (finished) the process and I tried with Rapidshare's Uploader, then it happens again for every upload I try to do with any browser. Strangely, right now using Opera, the upload works and it wont leak memory. By the way, when it begins to leak memory the process starts using a lot of memory.
Here are some pics:
As you can see everything goes crazy and it wont help me having 192mb of Ram.
Of course my pc is XP and other kind of specifications are on my profile. Please I need your help to solve this cause this happens very often and it will only repair itself some days after. Thanks
