Problem sending EMail on new ISP

Q: Problem sending EMail on new ISP

I recently signed up for 1nol.com. I didn't want there software cheesing up my system, so I reconfigured my Netscape Communicator and set up my own dialup. Everything works fine - I can browse and receive EMail, however, when I compose a message (or reply to one), a window pops up titled "User Authentication Required". My username is pre-entered in the top box, and I need to enter my password below it. My password is not recognized, even though it is valid for login to the server on dialup. This only happens on 1nol. Is this a glitch caused by my not loaded there cumbersome software? Any tricks to eliminate it would be appreciated.

ps: my new email is [email protected] - I'm searching your site to find where to change it.

Preferred Solution: Problem sending EMail on new ISP

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi got a new email address after setting up a Broadband account (not connected yet)

After putting in all the account details I was able to receive but not send, keep getting this msg .........

Just wondered if anyone have any thoughts whilst I wait for the isp to get back ?

A:Problem sending with new email ?

As a general rule you can only send mails through an isp's mail server if you are connected to that ISP. At the moment you are still connecting though your old dialup isp but trying to send through your broadband mail server. This is known as mail relaying, and like the message says, it ain't allowed, otherwise spammers would have a field day.
As a work around, you can either just use the other email account and wait for the bb to get connected, or change the mail server in OE to your old isp. To do this go to Tools, accounts, and mail, highlight the new email account and click properties, click on servers, and change the outgoing mail to your current ISPs (you can find out what this is by looking in the settings for the other email account). Of couorse you will need to change it back once you are connecting to the bb
When you change to bb you will get a similar message when trying to send through your old email account, so you will need to change the outgoing mail server in the old account to your new ISPs.

Hope this helps

I have 2 computers and 2 ISPs: jboxford.com (affiliate of attglobal.net) and DellNet. Since jboxford was my original account and all my associates know me by that email address, I prefer to continue to use it on both computers. I can download my email from my jboxford server on the DellNet computer but I can't send a message using that ISP (I can if I switch to jboxford acct). I am using OE 5.5 on both. I have been unable to resolve the problem with DellNet tech svc.

A:Email Sending Problem

Hi there.

Switch to Outlook if you can.......Outlook has the ability to let you choose which account you would like to send from

I'm assuming that you have two accounts set up in your OE5.5. Here's a trick. Make your outgoing (smtp) server the same for both account....only the incoming needs to be specific to the server through which the email comes. You should be able to send your jboxford mail out through your dellnet smtp. This is because you actually don't log-in on most smtp servers to send out....only to receive. However, because you are using OE instead of Outlook, the receiver will see your dellnet email addy.

You do have one other option with OE....Make separate identites.
Choose File-->identities. You can make a new identity for each account.....then switch identities. Use each identity to manage a different account.

OK, so here?s my problem.

I made up a request form in Word that has quite a few macros in it to automate the request process. My planned coup d? grace was to have a macro commanded from the file menu to allow the submitter to kick out an E-mail, with the form attached, to the approver. The E-mail arrives in the approvers Inbox but when he double-clicks the Word icon the following popup appears:

Microsoft Office Outlook
?The operation failed. An object could not be found?

And the Word document does not open. I also notice that the document size indicated is much smaller than it should be if the whole document was there.

We are using MS Office Word 2003, Microsoft Office Outlook & Windows XP.

The code I?m using for sending the form is below.

Sub SendMailNew()
Dim docWif As Word.Document
Dim sProfile As String
Dim objSession As Object
Dim objMessage As Object
Dim objRecipient As Object

sProfile = ""
Set docWif = ActiveDocument

Set objSession = CreateObject("mapi.session")
objSession.Logon profileName: = sProfile

Set objMessage = objSession.Outbox.Messages.Add
objMessage.Subject = "Submission"

objMessage.Text = "A new request entitled :" & ActiveDocument.Bookmarks("Title").Range _

When I send an image from my printer to my computer, the image goes to "paint" which has no email program. What I want to do is send the image to "scanned documents" which does have an email program. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Will appreciate any help, thank you.
[email protected]

A:Problem In Sending Images By Email

I presume you are using an all-in-one printer/scanner. The most common file format for images exported from scanners is .JPG although other file types are possible. But your problem is where these images are being saved to. If you look at the settings for your scanner you should be able to specify the folder you would like all these images to go to. If you cannot work it out the manual - which you should be able to download from the maker's web-site - should offer guidance.
As for emailing these images it doesn't matter too much where they are saved to, so long as you know the folder you have them in. The emailing procedure is exactly the same - generate your email, click on attach, navigate to where the file is, open the file, it's attached. You did say 'computer' not 'tablet'. On some, even most, tablets the sequence is slightly different.
Paint is a small graphics application built into Windows, it is not a storage location, but if you have no other graphics applications on the computer it may be the default for opening files of .JPG type. 'Scanned documents' sounds like a folder name, possibly in 'My documents', but it is simply a convenient place to put these files. I don't understand what you mean by saying it has 'an email program'.

My son has a laptop and desktop, both using WLM. All settings are identical with ISP on both systems. He can send emails on the laptop with no problem, but when he tries to send emails from the desktop, the email doesn't send until he exits the email screen. Then he gets a window that says "You have unsent email in your OUTBOX, do you want to send now?" I don't see this as an error message, but rather it seems its saying that his email is sitting in an outbox somewhere and not being sent UNTIL he exits the email program. He does not have this problem on the laptop, only the desktop. Any suggestions on this issue? The desktop was purchased about a year ago and only set up within the last 3 months or so. It's not a big issue since he can send email via the laptop, but I can't figure out why he gets this message only on the desktop.

I run outlook 2003 on a win xp sp2 system. I have recently been unable to send emails from outlook. I appear to be properly set up with pop3 to my yahoo mail account.

When I try and send or forward an email from outlook, it appears to leave the outbox and appears in the sent items folder. However it doesn't appear in my yahoo mail box either in the inbox of sent to my yahoo account or the sent items if sent to another account.

Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it please?

First, you need all the Outlook 2003 updates downloaded and installed. There are at least three of them. Use the Office Updates header.
Then you need to look at the help site at Yahoo regarding outlook 2003 installs.

A:Email Problem Sending From Outlook Express

Content error might be due to HTML format.
Or some bad words in the mail.
Or an attachment that the server won't allow to mail?

Microsoft has a bunch of possible causes of Error Number: 0x800CCC69, perhaps you can nail something specific by googling.

I have a few programs I use for my business that I can not send email from anymore. I also noticed that when I open my blackberry desktop manager I get the same message, and I can't see my profiles to sync my Exchange email. Hi - I am running Outlook 2010 on a Win 7 Professional 64 bit system.

I have been running basically the same configuration successfully for over a year now, with multiple email accounts. Everything worked fine up until this morning, when I was sending a series of emails with attachments. Each email's attachments totalled up to 6 mb, and the grand total of all of the attachments was about 24 mb.

Everything went smoothly up until my last email, and it just sat in my outbox and wouldn't go anywhere. I eventually sent it with a different account with a different ISP.

I have tried sending other emails on the same account, some without attachments, some with small attachments, but it appears that the account is "broken" for sending email. I can still receive email on all accounts and send email from every other account.

I have double-checked the settings for the troublesome account and when I use the Test Account Settings button everything appears to work fine as it successfully sends the test message.

I found a reference to a built-in limit for Outlook attachments of 20 mb, and ran the Microsoft fixit which removes that limit, but it had no effect.

One curious thing is that when I hit the send button, which places the email in my Outbox, the email does not have the italicized font which indicates an unsent message as was always the case up until now.

Any hints would be most appreciated -

Many thanks

I use Outlook for email, from Office 2007 Professional because the accounting program and my Palm Pro PDA likes it.

Just recently I have had a couple of complaints that emails with a video attached I have forwarded have been delivered to the addressee in excess of 30 or 40 times.

The latest was last night when one of my sons said he had received it 104 times, and another friend in the USA 99 times, needless to say both aren't happy, the video was a wmv (3mb).

When my son called me a an hour or so later it was still in my outgoing mail box, obviously because it was still sending.

I have run full AV scan using Esset Nod32 which came up clean, so I’m at a loss where else the problem is or where/what to look for.

Thanks for reading…..Any clues/help would be appreciated.

Most likely your email address is being 'Spoofed.' It's not really being sent from your account. Check your Sent Items Email folder. Google 'Email Address Spoofed' for more information. The mail your friends are receiving usually only contain a link to a questionable website. Advise your friends not to open anything suspicious.

Recently my Brother tried sending 8 pictures to me and my other two Brothers, yes there are four of us.

Brother sending pic's is using; A 4S iphone w/ ATT but says, "that's never mattered before".

My wife and I have Verizon and I never received the text message to my LG_VN150 phone I can receive and send, but it costs me.

He then sent the text to my wife's' cell phone a Galaxy S3 and she never received them. And, finally to our gmail account, four of the pic's for a total of 443KB made it, the other four were replaced with:

The total of all eight (about 1MB) should not have exceeded attachment limits for our email. I have asked him to download the pic's to his desk or laptop and send them to see if we can isolate the problem to his 4S.

Of the other two Brothers one did not receive any, I'm not sure of his equipment or plan; and one had no problem and received all eight, I believe he also has ATT.
I'm thinking some protocol with the Brothers 4S ATT text messaging is overriding the pic's but I haven't found anything on it yet and would like to know if any other members have any thoughts on this matter?

Good morning, people,

One of my users here is having a wierd issue with her Outlook program...Every time she sends an email out, a .txt file of that email is sent as an attachment to that email.

So an email saying, "Greetings!", has the text file attached that says, "Greetings!".

Any ideas?

A:Outlook sending a copy of email w/email

Must be set to send in both plain text and HTML? But I thought in that case that it was done the other way around...

Turn off one or the other in the E-mail options, would be my guess.

For some time I have been unable to send email to one specific domain. If I send a very brief message (literally a few words) the email will go through: if there is an attachment or more than just a few words in the message body I receive a delivery failure notification. I have checked with my ISP (BT connect) and the ISP of the recipient and there is no evidence that the problem is due to filtering, blacklisting etc.

I have no problem sending emails (with or without attachments) to any other domain.

My pc runs Win98SE and Outlook 2000.

I signed up for a hotmail account and was able to send an email with a large attachment to the affected domain using that. I concluded the problem was my ISP, but before changing to another I ran one more test.

I sent a large email to the affected domain using my Win XP Pro laptop, also with Outlook 2000. It arrived!

This suggests the problem is specific to my PC setup. The problem started some time ago (maybe a year or so) - before that I was able to send emails to the domain from the PC.

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any suggestions about what could be causing this problem on the specific pc.

Previously i was helped with code to send a static email through outlook express. Which work perfectly in my home network but when I took it to my work network I could not get the emails to send. Here is the code that worked at my network at home:
Public Sub Email()

Dim iMsg As Object
Dim iConf As Object
Dim WBname As String
Set iMsg = CreateObject("CDO.Message")
Set iConf = CreateObject("CDO.Configuration")

With iMsg
Set .Configuration = iConf
.To = "[email protected]"
.CC = ""
.BCC = ""
.From = """test"" <[email protected]>"
.Subject = "test"
.TextBody = "message"
.AddAttachment ""
End With

End Sub
The only major difference that is obvious, is the email at the office requires SPA where as my home network does not. Any thoughts Would be great!

Does your work server allow email relaying? Did you have an SMTP server running at home that sent the email?

I am having trouble sending, forwarding, an email that was forwarded to me. It is a short clip of a girl singing on a TV show. I send it and it takes forever for it to be scanned. Eventually I will get an email back saying that it could
not be sent because of an interruption or something like that. Have tried several time. Other email ok.

Hi again chasf.
Most ISP limit the size of an attachment to 5mb but your link with your server will normally time out way before you reach this.

Hi there

what email client are you using on both systems, also remember network connections and are you running from SAME computer.

Linux networking in general is superior to Windows but if you are using a decent email client it shouldn't make a huge amount of difference.

Other factors -- what "pre-scans" etc are done by the email client (virus / attachment checking etc), are both set up to use imap / pop3 or going through an Ms Exchange server. Loads of things you need to compare when doing this type of analysis.

Any webmail based client is likely to be hideously slow though when compared with a proper email client on whatever system.

When I try to send an email from a folder, I get the "make image smaller" option but then the file goes no where. It should open Outlook Express, my mail client. This has worked in the past and suddenly stopped. I know there is a file that I need to "run" but I don't know what it is. Any and all help will be very appreciated.

I didn't see this problem so I thought it was a new thread. anyway, when I click on send to send an email I immediately get Microsoft getting ready to install Picture It! I have to click on cancel with each window until the final window says spellcheck cancelled, send anyway? I have Windows ME and Outlook Express. Thank you very much.

Hi carolavis

Have you tried allowing Picture It to install?
Does the installer start when Spell Checking a message?

Is Picture It in the Add/Remove Programs?
If so, have you tried uninstalling it?

I worked for a company where I did account and billing and tech support remotely for applecare customers. I had terrible security concerns and feel like I was being impersonated as an employee and my network had been hacked. My computer crashed and I was able to send an email to anyone in my company without a problem on my personal computer but when the only person who could help me was my boss and when I tried reaching out to her this is what I got back and could never reach her and was offline for almost an hr

A:Anyone seen this when sending an email ?

This is just a way of preventing/blocking spam or other intrusive email by creating rules in your email client.Sometimes the rules can be pretty strict and they may not know just how strict they set them.They probably didnt do it on purpose.
