Vista Drivers for U.S. Logic Digital Digital Audio Recorder/MP3 Player Model PA36B-21

Q: Vista Drivers for U.S. Logic Digital Digital Audio Recorder/MP3 Player Model PA36B-21

Ownership of MP3 U.S. Logic Digital Audio Player (square size model PA36B-21. I have a new Vista operating system. I have lost the CD to install on new pc. I have searched my old harddrive but cannot locate proper file to install to new system. I have searched the net but seems that I cannot locate current info. All info I have found is several years old so I'm not sure if the software is still available. I have not used this audio recorder in a long time and have info from a conference that I would like to save to my system.

Thanks for the help.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I'm willing to spend up to $150 US. Can someone suggest an MP3 player to buy that'll store at least 80 Mbs of mp3z.

Also, I want to be able to use the MP3 player as a voice recorder so I can recorder lectures or speeches for up to an hour.

Does such a device exists, at the price I'm willing to spend?

A:Mp3 player / digital voice recorder

Definately not for $150! If you want 80MB of storage you are talking over $300. I personally have never seen a portable that will record directly from voice. There are digital type recorders that will do that, but still I doubt you would find anything in the $150 range

I have a little pocket sized Sony digital recorder. It looks like there is a connection for it. But I can't find any cable, if it even came with one. Can I transfer audio from this recorder to my PC with Windows 7?

A:Can audio be exported from digital recorder to PC?

What is the model number of the recorder. We can check specs and see if it has an audio out jack. Without knowing the model and it's functionality and capabilities we are all guessing. If it doesn't have an audio out. The only way I can see to get the audio onto the computer. Would be to play the audio and use a microphone on the computer to capture it if you have one.

I'm working on a project where I need something that can record a signal from a line in and then also be able to have a way to get that audio to a computer. It would be ideal if it could record the audio in some uncompressed format.

The signal its recording will be analogue, so it doesn't have to have a digital in. But it needs to stay digital after that. I think...

I am going to be googling and trying to find one. But I thought I'd drop the question here and see if anyone has some suggestions. Price isn't too much of an issue.

I guess the bottom line what we need is:

Something small, as in something you could hold in your hand.
Must have a line in.
Either a usb connection to a computer or a digital out.

A:Recommendations for a Portable Digital Audio Recorder?

This is about what I'm looking for:
http://www.edirol.com/products/info/r1.html

I don't really want to go with a voice recorder, because we are needing better quality than I think you can get with a voice recorder.

Edit: I saw on cnet forums one guy was concerned that the R1 didn't have a mono mode. That reminded me, we need it to have a mono mode, the signal I'll be recording is in mono.

My system: ABS 2300+ PC

In transfering digital data from my Panasonic PV-GS39 camcorder to my computer using an AV100 capturing device, no audio is present in the resulting Windows Movie Maker file.

I have read all pertinent Movie Maker instructions concerning data capture, both audio and video, without success.

I used the same capturing setup with Intervideo's WINDVD Creator 2 and had no problem capturing both audio and video.

Any idea what my problem is?

Hi,

I've recently switched to Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) using one Toslink cable instead of all the analog wires going from my PC to my receiver.

The digital sound is amazing, CD quality from my PC is great.

However, I now also receive the digitized sound of pages being loaded as I surf the web. All sound comes out digitized when loading a new page.

Is there a way to stop this from happening while listening to music or course material without gong back to analog?

Can I have my digital CD quality and enjoy it too!

On board sound cards are not known for their quality but try going in to your sound panel and muting all input and output sources you do not use (like mic and analog)

I assume you're running Windows. Which one?

I do a lot of audio work on mine, using Windows XP SP 3, and was able to kill the sounds by opening the Control Panel, then Sounds and Audio Devices, and then click on the Sounds tab. For "Sound Scheme" select "No Sounds" and click the "Save As" box.

i think it's the chkdsk recovery folder. you can usually view this folder by enabling "show all hidden files and folders" in folder options (control panel). or just format the drive and re-transfer all the music back in.

Motherboard Properties
Motherboard ID 10/12/1999-i810-W83627HF-6A69MTGCC-00
Motherboard Name Unknown

Front Side Bus Properties
Bus Type Intel GTL+
Bus Width 64-bit
Real Clock 67 MHz
Effective Clock 67 MHz
Bandwidth 533 MB/s

Chipset Bus Properties

I'm now stuck. I can't find the drivers for anything like this anywhere. Can someone identify the motherboard, and provide a link to the drivers please?

hello...can anybody tell me why i cant play a digital recorder file that is saved on disc? the man who sent it to me can play on his computer but when i try, it says its not a compatible application??

A:digital recorder

You'll need to tell us what the filename extension is (in other words, the 3 letters to the right of the full-stop in the filename).

Some DVRs are supplied with PC software nowadays (or available from the manufacturer's website) which you must install to play back the voice recordings on a PC, so maybe the sender has installed such software on his PC without realising that you don't have that software.

Hey guys

First of all: This is my first post here and I?m really happy to have found a site that might help me with my problems. ( I really love your tutorial section )

Now my problem:

I was used to be able to use the digital as well as the analog output of my soundcard at the same time. (Soundcard is an onboard one with the AC?97 sound chip).

But now running vista I can only use one.

(Sorry for the german language)

Either I choose the analog output to be "standard" (then it has the green tick) or the digital output..

Only the one chosen works then.

Is there any way to get both working simultainiously?
Thanks a lot

Maxi

Welcome Maxi,

I'm glad you love the tutorials. Feel free to post one of a tip you have as well.

I do not think you can have both. It is pretty much a one or the other option. You can go into you "Realtek Audio Manager" in the Control Panel (Classic View) and make audio quality adjustments in the advanced options.

I plan on building a myth tv box. I have Io Digital Cable service. Ive learnt that this may cause me some issues in building a working PVR. I want to have my mythtv box record off cable without needing the stb to be set to the channel. Id also like to be able to watch tv on the computer while I do this.

The pc will be 2-2.6ghz p4 or celeron with 512 mb ram and 320 gb hdd.

I would like all my cable channels, i dont care about the on demand but would definitley like it. I just want to use this as a vcr that also allows me to view channels while I record. The cable box has a RCA out but i'm assuming without a IR blaster that will only show me what the stb is set to.

If i split the coax cable before the cablebox and I get a QAM compatable tunercard will I be able to do what I want? Like have the pvr switch channels or tune to whatever channel it wants to? Does anyone know how Io/Cablevision broadcasts their digital cable signal? QAM64 or QAM 256? Encrypted or not? I think that the only encrypted portion is on demand, menus and music channels and the rest are unencrypted. I could be wrong though.

Im following the systm.org episode 2 to building your own pvr and will be using the software they reccommend. I also plan on using a hauppage pvr 250 most likely, or whatever card is suitable and in my price range.

Any ideas? Reccommendations?

Thanks

I am looking for an ultra-thin digital voice recorder that uses removable media (SD Card, etc.) and that will record continuously for possibly hours at a time. Most meetings will be 1- to 7 hours; but, there may be a need occasionally to 10 hours.

I have seen what I think is all that NewEgg has; but, I would like to get thinner than the .4 or .4+ plus protusions that I saw there. If it werent for the protrusions (usually the battery compartment), the .4 inches might be acceptable.

Is it asking too much to want something a quarter of an inch thick maybe?

Hello reader. I work in the tech department of a small company that sells recording equipment for vehicles.
We have started selling a range of digital video recording (DVR) units and are having a huge problem with the viewing software.
The software is called CMSV6 and is a generally universal viewing tool for DVRs.
I have tested this software on 3 laptops and 3 desktop PCs and it only works on one - a dual core 2.4ghz, 32bit win7 sp1, 4gb ram. I have been assured from the developers that the program is compatible with every (non server) version of Windows from XP and onwards.
The other machines are running Windows XP, 8.1 and 10.
On the latter machines The program loads fine but when you chose the directory of the footage you want to view, the program simply does not find anything.
It's almost like the program is being blocked or there is a small *something* missing from all the other computers.
I have tried
installing and running the program with admin rights
Sharing the drive/folder
Lowering and removing basic security settings
Adding firewall/antivirus exceptions
Disabling firewall/antivirus
Every 'compatibility mode' imaginable
Different versions of the program
Updating Adobe flash and Java
Any ideas would be much appreciated

A:Digital Video Recorder playback software being blocked?

A google search doesn't reflect that name as DVR software.  Another search reflects that name as being the product of various spftware developers.

Hi all,

I am current trying to configure the network settings on a standalone DVR.

I have been doing trial and error all day long to get a 'SUCCESS' on a 'check' while entering the DDNS SVC information.
After figuring out that the IP Configuration & Allocation of the Network in the router was messed up, I finally got the DDNS SVC to give me a 'SUCCESS' reading. Thus, enabling me to remotely access the digital video recorder via a Internet Browser.

Here's the catch ;

I am only able to access the DVR from the PC that has the configuration of the network. (example 10.0.0.1)
and the settings on the DVR have been set to :

IP : 10.0.0.5
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 10.0.0.1
DNS : 10.0.0.1
Port of device is set to 20410.

So entering http://10.0.0.5:20410 directs me to the webclient that enables me to remotely access the device.

Now here's the problem. I want to remotely access it through ANY PC from the internet and by entering the above can't seem to do the job. Please do give any advice on what I've done wrong and what can be done to correct it.

Your help on this matter is most appreciated,

Yours sincerely,

Hello,

So far, I have got the correct cable and have been able to get 5 analogue channels and watch these through Microsoft media centre.

But, the analogue channels are disappearing in a few months time and I'd prefer digital anyway.

I haven't been able to get any digital channels. I don't have the software from Toshiba as I updated to win7 myself.

My question is:

Do I need to use a desk top box to watch digital TV on the Qosmio in Australia?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know TV tuners in notebooks are country specific hardware so I don?t think you can use this internal tuner worldwide.
Due to this I believe you need some external device for watching digital TV in Australia.

I left this camera outside one night. Now, when I open the part that swings open to turn on the camera, the camera turns on, however I don't get any picture in the view finder.

I would like to attempt to repair this camera myself.

Does anyone have any idea what part should be replaced?

I have in my notes I should install a new base assembly for this camera. I think a camera repair person told this to me. But it has been some time, so I can't be sure.

Would someone knowledgeable please tell me if they think it is the base assembly that needs replacing. And, also tell me how difficult is it to replace that part.

I live in a very rural area. No company is nearby for me to take the camera and ask them for an estimate and what needs to be done. So, I will have to do this myself.

Thanks

Left outside. Moisture condensed on the electronics and probably corroding the circuit boards. Best bet is to try and dry it out. A folk remedy people try is to keeping it in a warm place in a plastic bag with a dessicant. Uncooked rice is said to work. Remove battery. Wait a week.

If that don't work, throw it away. I still think these old tape cameras are good, but the world has moved on to flash based cameras.

I originally scanned using 200ppi and then tried some at 600ppi and there was very little difference. The photos look very sharp and exposed correctly on the computer but when put on the frame they are not. Does anyone have a solution? I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Hey everyone

I just got a set of Boston Acoustics Digital Media Theater Speakers. They're pretty nice for 1999. I'd probably go as far as saying they're the best set of computer 2.1s I've ever heard.

Problem is, I can currently only run them through analogue because I have no digital cable for them. The connect on the sub looks like either a digital coax or RCA connect, which should run out to the 1/8 in. mini digital out on my SoundBlaster Live! card.

The manual doesn't say exactly what it is anywhere. It shows a picture of a cable with a single RCA end and a 1/8 in. mini stereo end.

Problem is, every such cable I find is mono on the mini end.

Any ideas on where to find a such cable?

Thanks,

Joe

I attached a picture of the back, it is blurry, but you can at least see what it is. (top right jack)
