I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi! I bought Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb 81BG, there 4gb  soldered onboard RAM, I want to upgrade ramCant find any informations what Brand and type of ram I have to buy ? and other questions there are 2 video adapter: integrated UHD 620 and descrete MX150how to completly disable integrated video card, in bios no options descrete only, there only switchable or integrated only,  Thanks.

A:Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb 81BG Ram upgarde and turn on descrete video card

Hi NtSG,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The OEM certified ram are listed here in the hardware manual (Item 5 page 71).
You can also check using parts lookup with model number or MTM. On commodity type, filter it by checking on memory.

Regarding disabling the integrated GPU similar to this discussion, it was made as default by OEM so BIOS do not permit change to be made rather you can just assign an application to the MX150 instead. Other ended up with a black screen even on BIOS when they tried tweaking it so best to either stay with the OEM recommendation.

Hope this helps answer your query.

I have recently purchased a 6th gen x1 carbon. It is the model with a 512gb ssd and 16gb of ram. I am planning a setup for my dorm room that definitely could use some work. There are a lot of peripherals going into this so bear with me. My main question through explaining this is if there is a way to streamline the setup and make it more cost efficient.  I am planning to major buys with this setup, the thinkpad ultradock and an Egpu. Regarding the Egpu, it will be a GTX 1070 mounted in a Razor Core V1. My question is I feel like having both the dock and core is unnecessary. I ideally would like to come into my room and put my X1 straight into the dock, which will be closed and probably upright next to the Egpu. Where I see the problem is that I could just as easily do the setup without the dock and instead plug the Egpu into the TB3 port every time I get home, and simply have the peripherals connected to the Egpu housing. One of the pieces that is making me question the setup is I also intend to have an external SSD that will stay in my room with the Egpu and will store my video games to save space on the internal drive for classes and regular programs. I have been told that the SSD and Egpu cannot share the same port as there would not be enough bandwidth to support the two for how I intend to use it, mostly gaming. So here are a couple questions I would like answered. 1. Should I even bother with the Ultra Dock if I am getting the EGPU2. What would be th... Read more

Hello, I'm fairly new to the forums as well as building computers. I currently use a Lenovo Ideapad V570 and would like to play games that require a better graphics card other than the Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000. The game I would like to try and play is a new game called Overwatch, that can be run by these cards. Reading other posts/forums/articles, I know that I need a graphics card, bplus board, and psu. But I don't know what to buy with a $400~500 budget and whether it'll work with my laptop. I would like to have some suggestions about which affordable components to get for the GPU. For the graphics card, I am honestly okay with anything as long as I can play Overwatch on it (it just looks so good to play haha...) Thank you!

I have recently purchased a YOGA 920 and a HP Omen egpu enclosure. I am having problem connecting it to my laptop.

First, I tried both port, there's the sound of connect and disconnect, and nothing shows on the laptop, and the laptop is not charging.

I have tried with power cable connected, and now it was connected. The egpu still was not charging (no power delivery), and it only works one port 2 (port closer to touch pad) with charger connected to port 1. If I switch them, the laptop goes blue scree. I can remove the power after it is connected but then there is no power supply.

It is kind of similar to the issue as MrKnowNothing https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/YOGA-920-Thunderbolt-3-Port-No-devices-fou....

I have tried different drivers but all of them do not work. I have updated BIOS and Type-C firmware from Lenovo to the most recent version.

One more thing. Is it normal that thunderbolt controller is not showing up in device manager when nothing is connected?

I have tried it with my friend?s xps, it works perfectly, basically plug and play.

I think it is not supposed to work like this and the egpu should have power delivery to my laptop. Even if there is no power delivery, it should still connect without power adapter connected. Is this hardware problem or driver problem? Is there anyone else have similar problems?

Thanks!

Hello there folks. I've got a ThinkPad T410 that I has no charger as I threw it away, the cord frayed, didn't work and threw off sparks everywhere. Since then the T410 has just been sitting in storage but now I'd love to get it up and running again. Thing is, I don't remember which charger I need. Lenovo's official page for the T410 says it supports a 65w and a 90w charger and I don't know which one it needs. Does it matter? Thanks, have a good day.

A:Need a charger for Lenovo T410

Hi Ram,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As I understand that you have query regarding T410 AC adapter. Yes, you can use both 65W & 90W Adapter depending upon your usage.
Normally 90W Adapter is used when you are using the system with dock as it will consume more power
List of universal adapter for your T410 65W & 90W
And for more details you can go through the parts list or HMM, page 179

I hope the above information helps. Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Hi everyone,
Need a new laptop for my computer science degree, considered quite a few. Was just wondering if anyone has an oppinion on the Lenovo ThinkPad T410 2516, I would upgrade it as follows:
i5-460m processor
windows 7 home premium 64
3/4GB RAM
320GB 7200rpm hard drive
9 cell battery
Anyone think i should upgrade it differently, I'd like to get it a little cheaper so where if anywhere should i make the cuts in upgrades?
Has anyone got this laptop? is it particularly heavy to carry around?

I'm using Lenovo ThinkPad T580 and would like to connect eGPU Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 550 with GTX970. When I connect Thunderbolt 3 cable to upper USB-C socket I get error "Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited" I was not able to find any useful information about this issue. So I connected Thunderbolt 3 cable to USB-C socket which is used by docking station. It works fine I was able to install nvidia drivers, but it works perfectly only during the time when battery is charging. When battery is fully charged egpu starts to disconnect/connect all the time. The screenshot shows last moments before it goes through endless disconnect/connect cycles. This eGPU works absolutely fine with my other laptop Dell XPS13 (whether it's fully charged or not) I updated BIOS and already tried different Thunderbolt 3 settings in BIOS. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Hy guys,I'm really desperate and I'm in mood of destroying this fine piece of laptop in Lenovo store just because of stupid whitelist which restricts me of using egpu with this laptop. I own Lenovo G510 ( i3 4000m,8 GB DDR3,Intel HD 4600,SSHD 1000 GB ) and I'm really satisfied with speed, mobility, battery, quality for price etc. I came with idea of adding external GPU with EXP GDC Beast from banggood.com,Dell 220p adapter and Gainward GTX 660. Lets put this simple,I have tried every possible way of enabling from DIY EGPU setup 1.30,removing wifi card and putting to sleep, enabling after BIOS post ( I connect then cable to egpu and ofcourse freeze ),no way. Obviously modding bios is also restricted due to eprom write protection and only way is trough buying programmer kit from ebay. The irony is that Lenovo G500 works very good with EGPU just by looking on techinferno and how many users are using egpu with Lenovo G500. http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/6578-implementations-hub-tb-ec-mpcie.htmlI'm thinking of selling laptop but I dont want to sell because its excellent laptop for me and in that price range I wont get so good design quality,8 gigs of ram, silent and fast HDD ..The EGPU is tested and fully functional,I almost started crying when one forum member from another forum connected to Dell and for Dell it was plug and play. Summary,I tried every possible way of bypassing whitelist throghout Windows sleep, trying after bios post... Hi. lenovors:I recently purchased a refurbished lenovo T410 from the newegg. Upon receiving it, I have been in love with it. But two weeks ago, I encountered [0xc000000f] error message while I was doing a resetting it to out of the box condition. Since it was around thanksgiving, I decided to upgrade the computer. I bought an 8G memory and 256G ssd. Now I am having the following problems:1. With the original hdd in, windows was fine, I switched out the one original 2g memory to the new 8G memory. After I turned on the computer, it passed on the window log (starting) without moving. Basically, it was stuck after swapping the 2g original memory with a newly bought 8G memory. The original memory is Hynix, HMT325S6BFR8C-H9,SODIMM, 2G, 204 Pin, PC-10600 (Bus Type), 1.5ns (Cycle Time), CL9, 1333Mhz (Data Transfer Rate), 166Mhz (Memory Clock)The new 8g memory is: Team 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 Laptop Memory Model TSD38192M1600C11-EWhen I put the new memory in, got into BIOS, the computer recognized it, it show the total memory as 10G.Please advise me if anything I could do to get this memory work out, otherwise, I have to return the memory back to newegg.2. I need some help please:

I keep getting a BSOD like clockwork on my Laptop.
The Laptop can run in safe mode with no issues....Tested this last night and this it was still on this morning.
I initially thought it was the ram so I removed the onboard 4Gb and replaced it with a new chip.
I thought it was the video drivers so I tried all Lenovo's recommended drivers but it doesnt work cause according to the drivers I dont have a graphics card.
I reloaded windows 7 32 to bit by doing a clean install and have not loaded any other drivers except the ones thats generic by windows7.
I am clueless as I have tried every angle possible.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Hi guys and/or girls, I am working on upgrading a business laptop which happens to be the Lenovo Thinkpad T410, now im putting an 250GB 850 Evo to replace the INSANELY SLOW HDD, however i am also upgrading the system from windows 7 and upgrading the RAM, now here is where i need help, I am going to be installing a 2x4GB kit of Corsair Vengence SODIMM, however I am unsure whether i should go for the DDR3 1600 kit or the DDR3L 2133 kit, now these are both the same price so the obvious pick would be the DDR3L due to the lower power draw and higher frequency, but the current memory installeld is only 1333, however the laptop is documented to work with 1600 so i know this isn't a problem, however I am unsure if it would even correctly downclock the 2133 or would it simply refuse to post, as well as this, would the laptop still attempt to send 1.5v to the memory or will it automatically do 1.35v as required by the DDR3L, oh how i do wish laptops all offered an "advanced" section within the BIOS which would allow me to tweak all of this stuff, however the only thing the bios lets me do with memory is set an extended mem test during boot which obviously is no help.  Thanks for your help

Recently my T410 laptop has had issues with charging the battery, the battery is plugged in and not charging.I have attempted updating the firmware for the battery, it failes half way through as the battery cannot be not identified. The lenovo power mannager does not resolve the issue either as it cannot detect the battery. Any advice on diagnostics or resolutions would be greatly appreciated, as after contacting lenovo support, they simply told me to replace the battery. Which I am happy to do but only as a last resort.

Hello,  I have a lenovo T410 with stock memory 2x2gb ramaxel DDR3 1333, on windows 7. I want to upgrade the memory by upgrading one slot to 4gb. I have bought a G.skill F3-12800CL9S-4GBSK. After replacing one of the slots with the new memory - windows won't boot, sometimes the windows icon shows for a moment and then the computer reboots, and sometimes I get BSOD with the error "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"  Windows startup recovery gives the same result.  The memory is recognized by the bios and I can see the memory increment.  Tried to change bios SATA setting from AHCI to compatability with no success. The memory works fine on Fujitsu Ah532 running windows 10. Please help!
