Is the M720q compatible with TIO Gen3 monitors?

Q: Is the M720q compatible with TIO Gen3 monitors?

I want to purchase a ThinkCentre M720q Tiny model 10T7 together with a Tiny-In-One 22 (or 24) Gen3 monitor model 10R1 or 10QY.But when I look into the User's Guide of the TIO22Gen3 or TIO24Gen3 I don't see the M720 listed on the page of the supported Tinys that can be installed in the monitor. The ports on the rear of the M720q should indicate that it is compatible and should fit into a TIO22Gen3 (or TIO24Gen3).But I am not sure.Even the PSREF doesn't list the M720 in the Tiny-In-One compatibility list. I have looked into PSREF Version 534 from December 2018. Can somebody confirm the compatibiity of a M720q and the TIO Gen3 monitors? Thanks.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Apologies for the delay.  Yes, all Generation 2 Tiny (M73,M93) and newer are compatible with all TIO.   The only exceptions are the workstation and extreme models.  Ex.  M920x, P330

Hi,

I have an issue with two screens on M720q (10T7006PMX). If I have any of this cables VGA and HDMI to HDMI or DisplayPort to DisplayPort it works fine, but if I have DisplayPort to HDMI or DisplayPort to DVI and HDMI to HDMI the screen with DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI doesn?t work, Windows doesn?t find the screen. When I upgrade graphics driver to 24.20.100.6287 the screen works but flicker. I have tried two different DisplayPort to HDMI cables and two DisplayPort to DVI. Win10 1809. When I use the 24.20.100.6287 driver I also get a third screen in screen resolution, that is not supposed to be there. I have tried on three different screens.

I'm thinking of creating a C drive image with Macrium Reflect and replacing the C drive contents on the replacement.  Back when, that might have led to problems with drivers and such, but Windows has gotten more flexible.  I've seen references to the newest installs being very free of bloatware, but I think tidied up the gen2 install  pretty well.  Am I overlooking an issue?  Thanks (And a thanks to Lenovo, particularly Andy, for the help in getting a replacement (screen banding problem).)

I built a computer for a friend whos mother board went bad (old AT computer). The new computer worked great at my place. when he
plugged in his older monitor It went black. He had another one kicking around and he was able to get it to come up with 16 colors etc. but it wouldn't shut down when you shut down the computer. He had to download the drivers for the video card to get the resolution back. the video card is a PNY GForce4mx440 with 64megs of DDR RAM. Is there an issue with older monitors and newer video cards? Can one hurt the other? Thanks in advance for the help.

A:Are old monitors compatible with new video cards?

The only thing I see that would be a problem with an older monitor is that you may have trouble finding the right driver for the monitor and and older monitor doesn't have as many hours left as a new one.

Hi guys, I'm new here, looks a great forum!

Hope I can be of assistance but right now I need some of my own.

I am running dual monitors on an ATI Radeon 7000 and have recently purchased an Nvidia quadro fx 1400 to run another 2 monitors.

So, i found out I am having compatability issues as the new card is only running 640x480 resolution and 4 bit colour, it will not allow me to change this.

My ATI controller now won't let me adjust my first 2 monitors and does not pick up the third.

My chipset is the - intel p35/g33 - If i purchase another ATI Radeon 7000 will this solve my problem? is this chipset capable of running 4 monitors? well, it's running 3 now (one on the nvidia with low colour and res) so i'm sure it can? Will I need to upgrade my power supply? Am I damaging the PC if not?

My board is a Asus P5KC if that helps..

Thanks, James!

A:Intel p35/g33 compatible with multiple monitors?

Welcome James,
I would recommend not mixing multiple video cards, so installing another Radeon 7000 is a good idea. Besides, only one video driver would be needed

Hello:
I got a refurbished PC and works fine, however when I hooked up with monitor with Samsung, a floating message popping up in the middle of screen, ... 'Not optimum Mode, Recommended Mode 1280 x 1024 60 HZ' and the screen getting blank few minutes later. When I tested it with another monitor with Dell, there is no floating message and gets a good quality screen which indicates Dell monitor is compatible while Samsung's non-compatible.

Is there a way for me to make the refurbished PC compatible with both Monitors, 'Dell' and 'Samsung?'

Basically, we are unable to get a sysprep?d image onto the Lenovo computers. On the first attempt, I used the preloaded version of Windows that was already on the computer.  I then upgraded it to our Enterprise version of Windows and then upgraded it to the latest build (1903).  I made sure all the drivers on the computer were current and updated.  I loaded all of the necessary software and then syspred?d the PC.  I successfully captured the image (we use a program called [email protected] Disk).  I verified the image and then proceeded to load the image.  I was able to successfully load the image but when you reboot the PC, the HDD is blank. I then tried turning off SecureBoot in BIOS and tried to load the image again but was unsuccessful. On the 2nd attempt, I tried using the image that we use for our Dell PC?s.  I loaded all of the current Lenovo drivers and verified that everything was working correctly.  I syspred?d it again, captured the image and was again unable to load the image. On our 3rd attempt, I decided to try doing everything from the command prompt, using DISM and Microsoft?s ?by the book? command-line method.  I had the same results.  I am able to capture and verify the image but am unable to load it to the HDD.  I created the image from our ISO, it?s just a straight copy of Windows 10 Enterprise. After loading the image on each attempt, Windows tries to load but always com... I have a brand new M720Q with the Tiny TIO24 Gen3 monitor. When the two are connected together I cannot get any video ports to work except for the TIO itself. There should in theory be an output from the TIO DP port OR an output from the M720 HDMI port. I have updated the intel driver to the latest 26.20.100.6709 (Lenovo by default kept giving me the Microsoft default driver from 2006), but I get no ouput. I recently purchase 2 identical M720q tiny desktops. Both of them can't output from their HDMI ports. One of them is still running the original factory install and so it isn't missing any drivers or anything. They both output from their DisplayPorts without a problem. But nothing connected to the HDMI port gets recognized at all.  I have tried both computers with the same cable and monitor. They are both behaving the same way. It is as if they aren't connected to anything at all. To be sure that the cable isn't bad, I plugged it into my laptop and my laptop displays to this monitor just fine.  I ran Lenovo Vantage and also Windows update. That didn't help. I also checked the BIOS as one post suggested and changed it to IGP instead of Auto, but the BIOS does no show an option for multi-monitor.

Hi all,I have a ThinkCentre M720q.I'm desperately looking for "Line-in port features" or at least the option (via software) to use the Mic input as a Line-in port instead. Over the past days I have carried out numerous tests on the M720q units as far as video and audio capture are involved. While there were absolutely no issues as far as video capture using a third party device over usb3 is concerned, I cannot say the same for audio capture. I updated all software, drivers, firmware and everything else that came to mind, in the hope of getting a jack input selection window or being able to choose/change the scope/purpose of the Mic input port on the unit to no avail. Is the Mic input port re-taskable to start off with and if so, how do I go about changing it?Is there a particular cable I should use, or some additional software/bios setting I need to install, set or activate in order to be able to change the properties of the Mic input port (pink) to Line-in (blue)? If the M720q is not the correct model,Would you so kind to suggst a model Lenovo (Tower, SFF, Tiny) that has the Line-in port features? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, i'm having an intemittent problem between my Tiny M720q and my 2010 Toshiba HDTV via HDMI. Occasionally, if I turn on the Toshiba first then I cold boot the PC I get a message on the Toshiba TV that there's no video signal. If I turn on the Tiny first, wait a few seconds then turn on the Toshiba HDTV, then I have a video signal. (Successful 98% of the time) Sometimes doing the above i.e. turn on M720q, wait a few seconds then turn on the TV will also result in no video. That's rare although it happened twice in a row this morning. I don't think it's a problem with the M720q as once I get past that quirk the display never loses a signal. So my question is, if this is just a HDMI Handshake quirk?

We've seen the errors on each computer when plugged into different switches, ports, cables, rooms, etc. One was repaired with a replaced motherboard, one wasn't - I don't know if I got a dud replacement also, or if there's some driver issue.  We have heavy use of NFS shares and when we get one of these with wired NIC errors, the performance of the GUI and just using the OS goes through the floor. I'm beginning to wonder if there's an incompatibility or we just got a run of bad NICs or what.

Good afternoon, we have a problem with crashing video drivers on Lenovo ThinkCentre computers. Users are actively working on the Internet through the Google Chrome browser and it often happens that during launching or downloading a regular page, the video driver simply fails and an artifact appears in the form of a small square (about an inch per inch). The computer continues to work, but all programs begin to fail, and on the Internet it becomes impossible to work at all, not a single page opens, Google Chrome is constantly crashing. This situation is found on the models m710q and m720q, installed the newest drivers (reinstalled the first thing, when such an error occurred). Please help me figure it out! Thank you!
