Hey guys,
I am using a 3G modem (Virgin Mobile MC760). In short; I have 2 connections; 1 is wired ethernet and the other is this 3G modem. I want to be able to use the 3G modem in a guest Vmware system while still using my regular ethernet for everything else in the host. (Unfortunately this modem doesn't work in VM so I am stuck having 2 internet connections in Win7 and trying to route this).

I have read up on metric values but heres the problem. I set the ethernet for a metric value of 1 and the 3g connection as 9999, ethernet alone works fine, as soon as I connect the 3g modem it takes priority and changes my metric value of the ethernet higher and creates a 0.0.0.0 default gateway, when my ethernet is 192.168.1.1. The only way around this is if I disconnect my ethernet and reconnect it, it will then take priority and have both be connected and use ethernet.

Is there any solution to this?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

Dont think so. I have a virgin 3g modem and the coding is built into the firmware in the dongle.

I've started a virtual machine which has two nics with qemu-kvm on server 192.168.6.2, one nic with qemu-kvm param "-redir tcp:40037::3389" is in "user" mode which IP is 10.0.2.15, so if I connect to 192.168.6.2:40037, it will map to
10.0.2.15:3389, the other is in bridge mode which IP is 192.168.6.100, my pc is 192.168.6.220, In the vm, "route print" shows two default gateway as below:
0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0      192.168.6.1    192.168.6.100    5
0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0      10.0.2.2          10.2.2.15    5
When I use my pc connect to 192.168.6.2:40037, always cat not connect, so I change the metric value to 100 of 10.0.2.2, it works well.I am confusing. My question is:
I capture packet on nic 10.0.2.15, when connect, the src IP  is 192.168.6.220, src mac is the mac of 10.0.2.2, all these are right, but when reply, why it still select default gateway of 10.0.2.2? I mean the dst is 192.168.6.220 and there is a route
item like:
192.168.6.0    255.255.255.0            on-link     192.168.6.100    261
why doesn't it choose this one?
Or it doesn't find routing table at all when reply, just according to the receive interface? But if really this, why doesn't it work when metric value are the same?

Well recently my network was compromised ( Confirmed by my ISP, Time Warner Cable) and I believe they reset my internet this afternoon. But the problem is I cannot connect to my default gateway of 192.168.0.1 . It shows up as ( Image will be below). I tried factory resetting two times but nothing seems to change. Through ipconfig it also tells me that my default gateway is 192.168.0.1

Hi MarsXTC,

Please check if you are able to ping the default gateway from command prompt. Also, boot the system to safe mode with networking and then try to access the router page:

Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

I've been searching for a couple of hours through the forums for a similar question that wouldn't necessitate making a new thread for something that's probably been asked a hundred times, but here's the haps.

At home, I have my personal (very old) laptop which has all of my software, games etc. as well as a desktop that manages to be even slower than the laptop. The laptop is old to the point where the monitor is dead so I've got the desktop monitor and peripherals all running through the laptop instead. All of this isn't terribly pertinent, but I'll get to the significance.

Today, we finally switched from dialup to cable internet. Since there's two computers but only one functioning monitor between them, there's no real reason to network the two, so only one computer will be hooked up to the cable modem at a time.

***The real problem starts here, so you can skip the intro if need-be***
After some problems connecting with my laptop, I moved everything over to the desktop to confirm that the connection and the cable modem settings are all fine, but when hooked to the laptop, it gives a limited-or-no-connectivity error with the following details:

IP Address: 169.254.xx.xx
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

Hi all,

I have 2 adapter, same model same speed. When I use "route print" command to check the table, they are the same metric.

I need to use the designated adapter to connect a server. How can I make sure this adapter is higher priority in the route table. 
Remark: This PC is not allow to set the route table. I have to use the automatic metric algorithm.

For the past two weeks I keep getting the error message of "Default Gateway is not available," only way to temporarily fix it has been to restart the computer each time. The intervals of the net crashes can range from 3-7 hours of connect time to even just five minutes after fixing the issue. I've called my ISP (Charter Communications) and they claim it is not an issue on their end and must be with my computer. The Computer was bought in Nov. 2011 and is a Gateway DX4860. Any help out there would be much appreciated.

would you post the following tests when its working OK and then repeat ALL the tests when it disconnects and make sure you also tells which tests posted are for what condition

if you are also connected by wireless include the xirrus screen shots

Please post back here the make and exact model of the router and if separate, the make and exact model of the modem

Also please make a note of the status of the light on the modem and on the router when working normally - post back here and then when disconnected post the status of the lights here again if changed

What firewall or security suite do you currently have on the PC - or ever had in the past - any trial ware - like Norton, Mcafee , AVG etc

Please post some more info on your PC and LAN setup. If your gateway was truely only zeroes... you probably would not be able to access internet or this forum either...

Hi. How is everyone? I am having trouble with my wireless connection. I am using a D-link wireless card and a D-link modem/router. My wireless internet connection drops out about every hour, I refresh my browser, press reconnect to MSN Messenger and it is all good again. But every so often I drops out and won't reconnect, I need to restart the computer to get it connected again. When it does this, I press troubleshoot on messenger and it gives a message " Default gateway - your gateway appears to be offline ". Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for your replies.

I have been trying to create a vpn gateway to gateway with 2 cellular modem(IPN4G microhard) here leave the ips assigned to each modem.

When I connect the tunnel I get that everything is fine as in the image(https://s7.postimg.org/647udvcbv/Tunel_conect.png) but at the moment of pinging from pc to pc I can not! Each sim card has a dynamic ip but I have assigned a static ip to one of these (with the pogram not ip) but I can not attach to the 2 a static ip because the tunnel does not make me connection. I hope you can tell me what I'm failing please! I do not know how to solve it.

Im new in this networking enviroment and was reading some stuff about IP ROUTE and IP DEFAULT GATEWAY, Im not preety sure woking with a cisco 2950(L2) what is the porpuse of setting an ip default gateway as far as i understood.

here the switch's default gateway should be 192.168.1.1 but WHY!!!!!!

if I hoop up a laptop in the same vlan shouldnt it be pointing to the same to go out to the internet I mean If we were implementing L3 switch i understand that setting ip route will do the same thing but the switch will check for the route first and after that if he doesnt know how to get there it will use the ip route gateway but in L2 why is that needed if we can only create sub-interfaces and a trunp port from the switch to the inside of the router and have the workstations point to each subinterface as a default gateway.. Im buffeled!!!

Hi there,

I've recently started having an issue with my network, whereby every time I start up my pc it connects to the correct wireless network but it says no internet access. If I run the windows troubleshooter it fixes the problem and says that the "default gateway is not available". Its recently started to drop out on me once or twice now as well and i have to run the troubleshooter again. Once its up and running it seems to run fine, although I have noticed that the very occasional website seems not to want to load up!? Maybe thats unrelated... Anyway I'm using Windows 7 Professional (64-bit). Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure you have the latest correct wireless driver (if a laptop integrated adapter the driver should be from the PC manufacturer's web site).

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Vista or 7.

Start - All Programs - Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Reboot the machine.

Hi there,

I'm having trouble keeping my lenovo laptop (running windows 8) connected to the internet, and hoped someone might be able to help. I have been able to connect successfully to multiple wireless networks and access the internet until I tried to connect to the new network.

Initially everything is OK - I can connect to the network and access the internet. However after a short period of time (anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes) the network connection will change to limited, without internet access. If I simply disconnect and reconnect to the network the internet will immediately be working again (at least for a few seconds/minutes).

Alternatively, if I run the troubleshooter, I always get the message that the default gateway is not available, which has been fixed by resetting the wi-fi adapter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there's any more information you need.

Hello all,

Essentially on my apartments network I can connect and get Internet access, but at random intervals while still maintaining a connection to the network I lose all Internet access. If I run the network repair diagnostic it resets the wireless adapter says it fixed the problem of the default gateway not being available and access is restored only to be booted in the same fashion a varying amount of time later repeating the cycle.

Windows 8.1 hp envy x360 less than a month of use.

Also not sure if it's relevant or not but to put it in reference it is only this network I am having trouble with. Used to have issues connecting to it at all and would BSOD occasionally but I believe I have solved this by updating some drivers and removing McAfee (meant to anyway but this forced my hand and beat laziness).

All help appreciated, and thank you in advance.

If you are losing connection, that means that their Access Point is not powerful enough, or that they do not have enough Access Points to cover the whole building.

You can try an external USB adapter with a USB extension cable and see if that helps any. they do make USB Dongles with 2.5db antennas on them.

9 days ago I downloaded something so I could watch ESPN on my laptop. Since then I have been getting default gateway errors. I uninstalled any of the possibly offending software. I am renting a room in a house for 2 weeks now. Cox broadband/netgear router. I have knocked the router offline twice and don't want to do it again, it pisses off the homeowner. i'm an experienced user. Other computers work. Let me know how to obtain whatever stats you need on my computer. I don't want to have to reinstall, none of my software is with me. Wireless connection and temporarily fixed by resetting the adapter in the network troubleshooting. Other computers are running W7, it's not an ancient router, it was working fine until the ESPN episode, I've run Malbytes, removed several objects... When the net does work, it's slow..

I recently got a new laptop and ever since, the internet goes in and out. Most of the time it is not out long enough to display the no connectivity icon or stop music from streaming but it is noticeable. When I run the troubleshooter it says that the default gateway is unavailable. I tried manually setting the connection information but the same thing keeps happening except the troubleshooter then says that DHCP is not enabled. I've disabled every firewall I can find and updated all the drivers available. Hopefully someone has a suggestion that I haven't come across yet. Here is my info:

Hello, my wireless internet goes off and on. The yellow exclamation comes up. It last for several seconds and then does it again if I try to load several web pages at once. When I run the diagnostics, Windows says it "fixed" that the Default Gateway was not available. Is there something on my laptop that I need to change as far as settings are concerned because it works some of the time but not all of the time. It seems to stop working when I try loading youtube videos.

My XP desktop has recently stopped being able to connect to the internet. I connect my router/modem with a Micronet SP907GK USB wireless adaptor. I am unable to connect to the web with any browser though I AM able to reach the router configuration pages. The windows live messenger troubleshooter tells me that it can confirm an IP but fails in testing "default gateway".

I am still able to connect through the same router using my Linux laptop.

I have tried turning off the windows firewall and the router wirewall. I have tried using the windows network configuration tool and using the Micronet configuration utility with and without zero-config.

I can't think what can have changed on the computer to cause this.

((ps sorry if this is rushed I did that classic thing of writing a post and thinking I'd published it only to find it seems to have disappeared))

Hi there I recently purchased a new computer and while trying to acess the internet I find that I can have a stable connection for no longer than 20 seconds. After that the network becomes unavailable and when I try to repair it I continue to get the error default gateway is unavailable.

If you put the model number of your laptop in your system specs in profile, will help with known driver issues also.

First of all, if this thread is in wrong place, I am sorry.

My problem is that I lose my internet connection frequently. When I troubleshoot for problems, I get "Default gateway not available." I have to manually disconnect and reconnect to the network.

I have installed the latest drivers. It didn't work. Therefore, I have uninstalled every driver, reboot and let windows install the drivers. It still doesn't seem to work. I have enable IPv6, too. It doesn't seem to work as well.

So im trying to use a linksys router as an access point in my house my I cannot access the router page because I don't know my default gateway. when i go to the command prompt i type ipconfig /all and the default gateway is 0.0.0.0 so i type it in to the search bar and nothing happens. Reset the router to factory defaults, connect a PC to a router LAN port, and ...

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

[Press ENTER after each command.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Hello, about a week ago, I purchased an Asus x401u laptop, that hasn't been able to connect wirelessly to the internet since I bought it. Windows diagnostic keeps coming up saying that the default gateway is unavailable. I know that the wireless does indeed work because i have 4 other devices connected wirelessly just fine. Also, I can connect to the internet just fine with an ethernet cable. The laptop is running windows 7 64 bit and the network adapters are:

1) 802.11n Wireless LAN Card
2) Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter
3) Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling them but that did not work. I've also tried /ipconfig release/renew and that didn't help either. I'm not sure what else to try. Also, it might be worth noting that my network comes up as "unidentified" when i connect to it, which is why I can't get internet access. The router we're using in the house is an Arris TG862G/CT (came with our comcast internet plan).

For some time now, when I surf the net, I often get disconnected with the wording "default gateway not available". Using the troubleshooting function provided by Windows the correction is carried out immediately, but unfortunately the problem persists. I have a home network which includes 2 desktop computers (connected via cable) and other mobile devices, and the problem occurs only on one of the desktop computers. My wireless connection keeps dropping. It tells me the default gateway is not available.I have tried to check and do the things told here first but not working. I have tried to do the driver update . I have a realtek driver, there is no update available for it.I have a 25 mbit connection i barely get 1 mbit.Extremely slow

The laptop is running windows 7 .Also i already did all the TCP/IP stack repair options like winsock reset etc.The antivirus i am running is ESET Nod32 version 4 i think .I have attached a xirrus wifi inspector photo if u want to look at it.

For some reason, whenever I go home (I'm in college right now), my internet goes haywire. It'll connect for about an hour or so when I first load it up, but after that, it refuses to connect at all. If I restart my modem (verizon fios modem), then it'll connect for about 5 minutes.

If I run the troubleshooter, sometimes it doesn't detect anything wrong with it, and other times, it says "the default gateway is not available"

I dont know what this means..

But I did the ipconfig/all and this is what came up:

If it works via cable without any problems then most probably something wrong with encryption. Change encryption type to WPA/WPA2, try change wireless router operation mode to G-only via router configuration.

How about coverage? Signal quality is good enough?

hi i was wondering if anyone can help me
i have a laptop that is connected to the internet via a router. The internet works on the laptop, but does not work on the main desktop PC which the router is connected to. It said it had a problem identifying the ip address, so i went to run and ipconfig/all and it appear to have a default gateway. is this the problem ? when i tried to enter the router ip as the gateway, it said it was connected, yet internet explorer would not connect to any sites.
can anyone help me with this?

Hi guys,

I posted about this issue before (http://forums.techguy.org/networking/1130599-weirdest-wireless-issue-ive-ever.html#post8946789) but there's been an update since then.

To cut it short, me and my girlfriend use the same model of wireless card (Asus PCE-N15). Our PCs are in the same room, maybe 4 feet apart. The network works fine when only I'm connected, but when her PC gets turned on there's some serious issues. Previously, when she connected, mine would die instantly (and hers would never work at all) until she disconnected, then things would be fine.

Well, I took the card out and re-seated it in the PC again, as well as changing the drivers, and now I have a new problem. It'll work for a long time, and then suddenly die for both of us. When I select to troubleshoot the connection on either PC, it will think for a while before saying that the "default gateway was not available". It solves this problem successfully, and suddenly both our internet connections work again.

I am seriously stumped as to why this might be. Previously I thought it was a connection issue between her PC and the card, since it didn't sit in the slot without wobbling, but that's no longer an issue (for some reason) and the problem still persists.

Can using the same model of wireless card cause clashes on the network? Can I resolve this using static IP addresses or something? What does "default gateway not available" even mean, and why wou... Read more

Got a wireshark log for you. It dies around halfway into it, then at the very end it fixes itself again using "troubleshoot connection".

You can also find it by taking it back to wherever you got it and they could tell you by searching the MAC address located on the underside of the router. However most router IP address's or default gateway is 192.168.1.1

Hello,

I've recently begun encountering connectivity problems. Seemingly randomly, the wifi connection becomes limited and webpages/games time out. Whenever I repair the connection it is always at the "reset wi-fi adapter" step that it seems to resolve the issue.

Steps I've taken thus far are:

uncheck the box under my network adapters settings that said "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"show hidden devices under the network adapter device manager and try to uninstall all but my ethernet and wifi connections. aside from these two connections I wanted to keep, there were two bluetooth devices that I don't use/need, two adapters hidden with odd names, and quite a few WAN miniports. I tried uninstalling all of these...some uninstalled, others uninstalled but came back with a restart, and some wouldn't uninstall at all

I'm not even sure if any of this is actually helping my own issue; I simply tried to do some research before reaching out for help myself...and these seemed to be common steps that were suggested from folks on this very forum.

You'll fix it.

Install latest wireless driver from Ultrabook, SmartPhone, Laptop, Desktop, Server, & Embedded? Intel if not already latest now, update security software to latest version if not already, update router firmware to latest if not already, then use Vistumbler to see which channel is the most open and clear, away from other channels. Set your router radio channel to that.

You could lower the beacon interval some, in the router settings. I keep mine at 50 ms.

RTS Threshold = 2307
Fragmentation = 2306

Microwave ovens and home wireless phones (not smart phone type - landline type) can interfere. Move your router away from those if possible.

Make sure nobody is sitting outside your house in a car trying to do a man-in-the-middle attack (a.k.a. monkey-in-the-middle) on the wireless, lol.

I am using a router with internet access with the default gateway of 192.168.1.1 and another router with intranet access with the default gateway of 192.168.105.4 and the internet router is not being accessed even with the correct address. It thinks those two are the same.

Based on my limited understanding, a router wouldn't have a default gateway... they each have an address, and it can be used as your client system's default gateway.

What is your network mask on your client? What is the ip of your client? My guess is that your client is 192.168.105.x with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 based on your description. The client will send all requests outside of the local network to whichever is set as its default gateway, which should (I believe) be on the same subnet.

Since you have 2 gateways, you will probably need to do some sort of routing beyond what is provided with a default gateway.

I am using HUAWEI wireless router supplied by Aol and I lose the wireless internet connection quite often. Whenever I click on troubleshoot problems it comes up with:

Default gateway was unavailable - Fixed

But then after a couple of minutes the internet goes down again. does anybody know how to sort/fix this????

I Have a Toshiba C660D Laptop With windows 7 and my wireless Router is a HUAWEI EchoLife HG521.

My laptop stopped connecting to the internet today and it keeps connecting for 20 to 30 seconds at a time and then disconnects. It periodically tries to get back on again and sometimes does but again, it only stays on for 10 to 30 seconds and then shuts off. When I do the windows Network Diagnostics it tells me that the default gateway is not available and it fixes it and connect me to the internet for 10 to 30 seconds and then shuts off again. I have tried multiple things that I found on the internet and nothing is helping. how can I get rid of this annoying problem?
I am running an Asus laptop with Windows 10.

Periodically, I drop internet everywhere around my college's campus. I'm literally four feet from a router, but it doesn't seem to matter. I'll disconnect, run troubleshooter, and I'll get the error message saying that the default gateway is not available. My college is designed for Macs, but I'm running Windows 7. My Mac colleagues do not experience problems. Any ideas? The computer works at home and at nearly every other wireless network I've brought it in range of. Other windows users do not all experience the same problem, but those who do experience the problem all have windows computers. Specifically, either IBM or Dell. Specs are below. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

My father is out of town for 2 months, staying on an air force base that is providing free internet for the rooms. Wired internet. On his windows XP laptop, he has the cat-5 cable plugged in. but he is not getting an IP address or default gateway, but he is saying that his subnet mask is 255.255.0.0. I did an ipconfig /release and /renew and still getting the same thing. also went into Local area connection setting then properties of tcp/ip and made sure that it is on auto. also restarted the modem and computer. is there anything else i should try. i'm thinking it's on the modem side. but i can't get to the settings without a gateway, but if i have a gateway, I'm sure that he will have internet. am I missing a step?

A:Not getting a default gateway.

What does his IP show ?
Does it show 0.0.0.0 when you run IPCONFIG ?
If it does then his DHPC Service is not started.
Start -> Run -> Type in SERVICES.MSC and press OK.
Check to make sure the DHCP is started and is set to Automatic.

First thing you need check is the correct address for your router's admin. This is either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, unless it has been changed. Which one is used depends on the brand of the router. Have a look at your quick start guide or user manual.

Second thing, since you have DHCP off (in your router - the 169.254.x.x address), you have to manually configure your IP, Subnet and default gateway. The first will be in the range 192.168.x.2 - 192.168.x.254, where x is either 0 or 1, depending on your router's configuration. The subnet will be 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway is the IP address of your router.

DNS servers will be picked up from your router once you are connected, or you can manually enter them like 208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS), etc.

Or, you can turn on DHCP in your router and let it assign your device(s) the required addresses. This is a better idea because it allows you to roam around and automatically get IP addresses.

Hey everyone, I have a desktop computer with an Ethernet card, I disconnect every 10-15 minutes most of the time. Sometimes it won't go out for a couple of hours, but every time it's the same routine. I have to click "Troubleshoot Problems" and it always resets my Wireless adapter. I'm a gamer and I just can't afford to be disconnecting in the middle of a game all the time, please help... it's Christmas Eve and I want to play League of Legends. I attached the ipconfig.

I know there are lots of other posts with this same issue, but i still cant seem to figure out what the solution is. The internet on my laptop only works intermittently. After a minute or so of initial use, it stops working and when I run the troubleshooter it discovers that the default gateway is not available, and then it says that it has fixed the problem. However, after only a minute or so more, the internet once again fails. I have tried the "run>cmd>enter>ipcongfig>enter" and found that the numbers for the default gateway are the same on my laptop as for a laptop that does work. So what is going on?

I'm not really good at networking but recently i was playing with my router and then i decided to make my local network connection's IP static. To this point everything worked perfectly with no problems and then I tried to do the same thing on my wireless network connection; however, when i used the same default gateway IP and save it, it gave me a warning that said something like "bla bla bla using the same DG might be a problem...

I saved it anyway to see if it was gonna work or not, but surprisingly it did. My question is, did i do something wrong? Or is it fine to use the same DGI for the 2 separate connections?

Yes, you can use the same DG on your connections. Just dont use that as the IP Address.

If your only email accounts are free (Hotmail, gmail, etc.) try this direct link. If you need help with a screen shot see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows 8 or 7 or Vista I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.

Identify your network if it is not obvious.

Also show ...

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

I am having a problem with my other computers default gateway. it is not there, and I have pretty much been through EVERY single step to deal with this issue and it does not work this time. by saying this time I mean this isnt the first time it happens, however the 2 other times it got fixed in the end. this time the same ways to fix it does not work, even though all the 3 times I've had it, it is only the default gateway that is gone and instead of the original name on my network, it says "unidentified network". my computer is wired.

I am not good at dealing with this kind of issues just to put that on the table.

Hello,
Up until now I've always been able to fix problems with my PC myself or with some help of the almighty internet, but this time no matter what I tried, nothing seemed to work.
I was doing a tutorial with WAMP server, then went downstairs to make myself some food, after an hour, I came back and had no internet connection. Messed around, tried to fix it. Even carried my desktop PC to other room, just to see if fault is cable. I'm connected to the internet via modem.
Funny thing is.. Other computer which is connected to the internet via same modem can access internet. I tried a lot of suggestions for this issue, have spent last 4 hours just "googl'ing and googl'ing" for solution. And on top of that, when I go in my internet sharing thingy, there are no yellow icons or red crosses, but when I do press diagnose after some 7-10 minutes it comes up with "The default gateway is not available".
I will attach an "ipconfig all" to this post, if it helps.
I will provide any information you ask of.

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Your ipconfig /all is not showing Private IPs like 192.168.1.X. What is the Make and Model of the Modem that you are connected to? Is this supposed to be a Modem/Router device?

You might want to release/renew your IPs and see if that helps. Here's a Tutorial.

If this didn't help at all, is it possible to get an ipconfig /all output of one of the working computers in your network?
