I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Welcome to the forums Marioo!

Have you tried a system restore to a point before these errors started? (Easiest things first) You could also try a sfc/scannow, to find and possibly repair any corrupted system files. We have many fine tutorials here at the forums, written by some very knowledgeable people, heres a link to one if you haven't did this before :

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

EDIT: ARGH, sorry, meant to post this in General Discussion forum, I have no idea if it is a network issue.

Hello everyone,

I keep seeing this error appear several times a day, even during idle, in my Event Viewer. I did a clean install of build 10586 less than a month ago. I'm not having any overt issues yet, but the error is disturbing.

SettingSyncHost (9144) {979B90BD-0F81-4D83-B038-62032DD17C47}: Database C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SettingSync\metastore\meta.edb: Index deleteDetection of table items is corrupted (0).
I have spent a few hours researching this and I can't find any reports of similar issues or even what the file metastore\meta.edb is for. Is this hopefully one I can just rename and it'll automatically create a new one?

A week ago I started getting this warning errors logged three to six times or more per day in Event Viewer.

Event Viewer Warning - Source is e1yexpress - Event ID is 27
Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection Link has been disconnected.

Every time Event Viewer logs the e1yexpress warning it follows up with this logged warning
Event Viewer Warning - Source is DNS Client Events - Event ID is 1014
Name resolution for the name isatap.home timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Not every time, but a lot of times Event Viewer also logs this warning right after it logs the isatap.home warning.
Event Viewer Warning - Source is DNS Client Events - Event ID is 1014
Name resolution for the name teredo.ipv6.mocrosoft.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Today I installed updated drivers for my Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection, but after 11 hours of no logged error warnings they started up again and I got three sets of the above logged in a 90 minute time frame.

My system is two years old and as far as I know I have never had these errors logged before.

My motherboard is a Asus Rampage III Extreme.

Any ideas on how to get event viewer to stop logging these? A google search really did not offer any real clues on what to try other than updating my Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection drivers, which did not solve the problem.

A:Event Viewer Warning - Source e1yexpress - Event ID 27

Well after trying everything google came up with to try, including updating drivers to the latest version, rolling drivers back to the default Win7 version, disabling SIPS and a few others things I decided to call Verizon and see what they had to say. As soon as I told Verizon Tech Support that my error code was "e1yexpress - Event ID is 27
Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection Link has been disconnected", they told me not our problem take your PC to a shop. I called back a couple of hours later and talked to a different person and this time I only said that I was getting the Event 1014 time out errors. They had me do a few things in a cmd prompt and then said we do not know, but we can send you a router, I said fine, I will try the router.

Well it has been over a week since installing the new router and no error codes at all so it was the router!

Trying to save time for everyone, I'll just say that I looked at Event Viewer today. I've looked at it infrequently, and never could understand what I saw, but today there was something relatively new and scary:

Type: Warning
Date: 9/2/2005
Time: 7:24:03 AM
Source: disk
Category: None
Event: 51
User: N/A
Computer: JohnandCheryl

Further info under help and support said an error was detected during a paging file operation.

The word "disk" scared me, so I checked the entire Event Viewer, and found 25 of these errors, from Aug 1 2005 through Sep 3 2005. If this event was cataloged earlier, I don't know, because the Event Viewer only goes back to Aug 1.

I checked System Restore for Aug 1, 2005 and found a couple of things; 1) an accidental MS "update" to NVIDIA GeForce4 MX driver 5.12 -- but we've had the 6.1.7.7 driver for a long time now. The 5.12 screws up the display resolution, big time. I reinstalled the 6.17; resolution is fine; but I'm wondering if this could have something to do with the Event 51 warning.

Also, on that same date, something called Software Distribution Service 2.0 is listed three times, and I don't know why. I don't even know what it is.

Alright, started getting the 1001 BugCheck crash with Event 41 Kernel-Power BSOD a few times not long ago, widely spaced out incidents (it will lock up, make a very weird repetitive noise through my stereo speakers and will also get black and white bars across the screen before the blue screen turns up and asks for restart option choice). And Event 4 k57nd60a has been ongoing for as long as I can remember.

Any ideas?

Memory exception but we need to examine the DMP files to find out why.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Quote:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.

Windows 8.1 Pro x64 - please find the complete system log warning details below and a (related or not?) disk controller error below.  Motherboard is an ASRock B75 Pro 3 with an Intel B75 Chipset.
I keep getting these warnings.  I get them for all my Windows Portable Devices (disk drives) on boot up.  Here are my disks:
Disk 0 on internal SATA 3 connector off an
ASMedia ASM1061 chip on motherboard (internal drive, but enumerated as removable) - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 D: data drive
Disk 1 on internal SATA 3 connector off the B75 chipset on motherboard (internal drive, not enumerated as removable - gives no warnings or errors - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 C: system drive (has Windows 8.1 OS on it)
Disk (2 or 3 depends on order of USB connection) on external USB 2.0 connector off back I/O panel of motherboard - Kingston DT 101 II USB device F: backup thumb drive
Disk (2 or 3 - depends on order of USB connection) on external USB 3.0 connector off back I/O panel of motherboard - Seagate BlackArmor DAS35 USB device G: backup external hard drive
There are no symptoms other than another (probably unrelated) disk controller error (shown below).  The controller error is on either drive 2 or 3, but never 0 or 1, so it is one of the external back up drives (the thumb drive or the BlackArmor drive).
Note that on boot up I get the warning for disk 0 above whether or not the external drives are connected so the disk controller error may be unrel... Read more

While looking at Event Viewer, if I send a file to Print, I can see various entries in the logs regarding spooling and cancelled jobs - all located in:
Microsoft->Windows->PrintSystems
But if I send a print job to an offline printer or if there is some other error, like the printer having no paper. I see no reference to an event in the Event Viewer, even though I receive a slide in notification in Windows 10.
Is there a different service that handles these?
It seems that something is catching those warnings or dialogs, but I just cant figure out which source is handling them? It's definitely not PrintSystems.
Is there an error logging attribute I am not checking regarding PrintSystems? I saw something of the kind in references to Windows 7 but for Windows 10 it seems it has been changed.
The reason is I am trying to create a task referencing these warnings and errors.

Welcome to WSF quig. Can you boot to safe mode With Networking? (Start tapping F8 on boot up. When the menu comes up select safe mode With Networking ) If so go here ---> DELL Drivers & Downloads Put in your Service Tag number Or the exact make and model of your system. That will bring you to your correct model. Download the drivers you uninstalled and reinstall them. Reboot the system.

You are trying to install un-official updates. I would advise to leave things alone and just update from Windows Update, you never know what might be hidden in those updates you are installing

Thank you for taking the time to see my request. I was up most of last night attempting to find a solution to my problem.

In the past month there have been a few times where I have jumped into the game Borderlands 2 only to have a bunch of red lines appear on the screen and the computer freezes up. Usually after I validate the files with Steam it seems to be okay, but when it happened last night I was unable to get my computer booted into Windows again.

After letting Startup Repair attempt to solve it several times (unsuccessful) I attempted to go for a System Restore. I tried it but all it did was hang my computer again. I attempted a second System Restore to an earlier point, but it came up with the error code 0x80070002.

I then tried to run an offline scan using Windows Defender Offline from a USB, but it turned up nothing.

Most of what I have tried came from the following page, which I found by googling the problem code 6.1.7600.16385, which is the same problem code I received.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/448339/windows-failed-to-start-system-repair-cant-discover-problem/

I followed the steps in order and ran a frst64.exe from my command line and then did the fixlist that was in the post, but it did not find any "Zero Access" file/program/task.

I'm not sure what to do next, but I'm thankful for any help I can get. I could to a fresh install of Windows, but at the very least I want to save some important ... Read more

Windows 7 Ult 64x Unbootable, Problem code 6.1.7600.16385 after installing EaseUS ToDo backup

system recovery startup repair not able to fix the startup, returning the above problem code.
When I boot with the windows install disc it seems that i end up back at the system recovery startup repair and the same result.
I am notified that there are no restore points.
At one point, I lost the use of my keyboard and at another, the drives were mis-numbered.  I removed the button battery for 30 minutes and am now back with only the original unbootable system.

1.  Ideally, I would like to fix and restore booting on this drive.
2.  Secondarily, would I be able to virtualize this drive to a virtual machine on another PC if it could boot as a virtual drive???
3.  least attractive would be to do a fresh install of the OS to another disk and at least have access to the data.

I have many registered programs and configurations that would be lost in the last scenario.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know what info you need.

Although I didn't see any thing that stood out in the screen output, at the end I received this message:

Could this have something to do with the inability to start up?  Do I need to run something to fix the second sector?

I saved my Windows System Event log as an .evtx file to have some data to start looking at. I note the column entitled 'summary' appears to show the body of the event message. However I see many rows which state "unable to retrieve the event description"
in this column, what do I need to do to fix this issues please? could it of been the way that I saved the .evtx file in the first instance (I accepted the defaults) or do I need to install some additional files/components so the messages are displayed
correctly?

Hello everyone.

I've search the forums but haven't found this.

I apologize in advance if a similar topic already exists, I haven't found one.

I have a notebook toshiba a200-14d with XP running.

If i run eventvwr and go to System, in that log, I found a lot of identical errors.

Here are the details :

Type: Error
Source: Disk
Category: none
Event ID: 11

Description:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\D.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
ht.

The logs shows that these errors occurred for 2 minutes, continuously. starting from 3:48:27 to 3:50:17.

Can anyone explain me what does this mean? Should I worry in any way?

Hello, I recently tried to filter events of the .NET runtime provider by their event ID. This should be accomplished through enabling the .NET runtime provider with
EVENT_FILTER_TYPE_EVENT_ID flag being set in the EVENT_FILTER_DESCRIPTOR structure, unfortunately the
EnableTraceEx2 function returns 87. If I try to enable the provider with the
EVENT_FILTER_TYPE_SCHEMATIZED flag instead of the EVENT_FILTER_TYPE_EVENT_ID, the provider gets enabled so I came to the conclusion that the
EVENT_FILTER_TYPE_EVENT_ID is the invalid parameter.

Enabling the session:
The LogFileMode member of the EVENT_TRACE_PROPERTIES
structure is set to EVENT_TRACE_FILE_MODE_CIRCULAR, EVENT_TRACE_PRIVATE_LOGGER_MODE
AND EVENT_TRACE_PRIVATE_IN_PROC (<- supports this mode scoped filters?).

According to
MSDN enabling scoped filters should be possible for private logging mode sessions or am I missing something?

Without seeing the minidumps this is your error per auhma.org:

This is a rare and fairly obscure error condition. Memory management issues can be one cause, and adding additional RAM commonly will resolve this version of the problem.

Hi, I recently made some upgrades to a (previously fine) PC - they were

- Installing 4GB extra RAM, of the same variety
- Reinstalling windows on a new SSD (a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB)

I previously also upgraded to Windows 10, but a bunch of blue screens and other issues later I reinstalled 7. I'm still having problems though - the current symptoms are that every so often (1-3 times a day) the computer will hang for ~1-2 minutes on the 'starting windows' screen. When it finally loads, it will often hang for further extended periods before settling down. I checked in these event log and during these periods there will be many 'atapi' errors, with Event ID 11 "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort0." (I have attached a screenshot).

There will sometimes be other errors, usually relating to the timeout of certain things, but the previously mentioned error is by far the most prolific. On rare occasions there have been more serious errors - never blue screens since going back to windows 7, but once I booted to a black screen with just a mouse (was able to shut down via task manager then following a restart seemed ok).

Through some investigation, it does seem to be that the root cause of the problem is the SSD; I identified this a while ago and have tried various fixes, including:

Ensuring my Motherboard (a M4A78LT-M) SATA ports are configured in AHCI mode (they were previously IDE). This also led me to completely re-installing windows in an e... Read more
