Will this monitor be good for Gaming?

Q: Will this monitor be good for Gaming?

Alright,

Just wondering if: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007R...323051?n=507846&s=electronics&v=glance

And some more info on it here: http://secure.syntaxgroups.com/products/specs.jsp?pid=lt26hve

Would be a good monitor for gaming? I mainly play WoW and CS right now.

So I was just wondering if it would look as good, or near as good a monitor ment for the computer?

My graphics card is a bit older: CHAINTECH SA5700L Geforce FX5700LE 256MB DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

Will my computer be able to handle this monitor and World of Warcraft?

Thanks in advance.

Preferred Solution: Will this monitor be good for Gaming?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello all,

My monitor has recently stopped working and it has increased my need to buy a new one.

I am doing my university studies through the internet and so I use my computer a lot. I also use my computer to play video games so I figure if I am going to buy a new monitor I might as well get a really nice one for gaming as well.

Please if any of you have bought a monitor recently and you think it's perfect or if there are any suggestions on what monitor would be good to buy for this purpose then let me know.

I'd also like to know if there are any monitors I should stay away from.

many thanks,

A:Good Gaming Monitor for £150-£250 ($240-$400)

There are many monitor brands available from LG, ViewSonic, Samsung, HannsG (to name just a few). Like everything else, there will be monitors of varying quality across their ranges. I see that you've set yourself an upper price limit of ?250, and you should be able to buy a reasonable monitor from most manufacturers for that.

The best thing to do is to go round some computer shops and view any prospective monitors in action, and make your own judgements on what you actually see, after all you're going to be the one using it.

Asus are fine, as are Samsung and Dell. In any case, as you are looking at TN panels, they are all about equal. Just watch for models with the "2ms" rating and you should be fine.

Hey guys,

Do any of you have a recommendation for a good monitor for gaming as well as watching movies and such?

My budget for that is $100-$200 a little over is fine.
Also my computer desk can only fit a monitor no more than 22 inches WIDTH due to the wall and other stuff. So any size monitor less than 22 inches by width will be good. And I would definitely want a full HD monitor with HDMI.

Thx!!

I'm building a computer from scratch and need a decent monitor to go with it, something on the cheap side that is still pretty good, I've decided to go with an ASUS monitor as the have the most value for money IMO.

I've narrowed down the list to two monitors

The first has doesnt have inbuilt speakers whereas the second does.
First has a contrast of 50000:1 but the second has only 20000:1 - does this make much difference?
Other than those two points, the monitors are basically the same thing with different designs

first monitor: ASUS MS236H 23" Ultra Slim Widescreen LCD Monitor

second: ASUS VH236H 23" Widescreen Full HD LCD Monitor

the thing that i don't like about the first one is that, due to its ring stand (which looks amazing) its very unstable and easily falls over, also, due to the design of the stand the screen is constantly tilted back at about a 10 degree angle.

So, which should i get?

I'm planning to purchase the GTX760, maybe the one linked at the bottom. I am wondering if will support multi monitor games like BF3, Crysis, Medal of Honor ect. So it spans the image across all 3 screens like it does in the following photo.

Videocard (Either the 2G or 4G)
Newegg.com - EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

A:Is GTX760 good for multi monitor gaming (Ex. BF3)

It says it supports up to 4, the real trick is having all the right connectors for the monitors.

And that pic link was denied, I checked the description on newegg however.

I would pay a visit to EVGA's web site to clarify the actually supported connections and wouldn't hesitate to call their support line to inquire with your monitor details in hand if the site itself still leaves you with questions.
[Go to the source! 8)]

The actual spanning will be done via the driver suite software with help from each game's code and settings, which I would visit the games' web sites to clarify support also, since the 760 is new.

Being high end FPS's you are interested in, I would go with the 4gig version.

The 760 is probably middle tier on those high end FPS's, go stronger, if you want to be maxing them out graphically across 3 monitors, it's very strong for just 1.

recommend a good vid card for a 27" monitor that will be used for photoshop HQ color and movie watching, not really for games. don't need dual monitor hookup really. budget $100 or so probably. thanks! Msongs PS - currently have an nvidia GEforce 9400 gt - maybe that's enough eh?

That card will work, but you would be better off with a 200 series or a 4xxx series.

Sorry for the long text, I'm trying to send as much information i have.

Hello forums!
A few years ago i built a new gaming pc because i wanted to be able to play high quality games. But since day 1 i've had nothing but problems. Whenever i play one of my high quality games such as "Assassins Creed, Tomb Raider, Battlefield 3 or Primal Carnage" the monitor goes completely blank showing a "no signal to monitor" sign after gaming for between 5 minutes to up to 2-3 hours. The monitor sometimes also shows different color stripes either for examples: orange, pink or grey. The sound of my friends on skype usually keeps going for about 20 seconds before going silent, the sound of the game shuts off instantly or goes in a loop or starts with a loud buzzing sound. The fans and the LED's on my pc are still going but i can't control anything on the pc making me have to force restart my pc on the power button.
I've been on this forum before talking to this guy who is helping me but he's been quite busy lately so i need some extra help.
I've updated all drivers to latest, i never overheat, the GPU does not go over 51C when gaming and CPU never goes over 51C either.
I've upgraded my 650W powersupply to a 850W power supply and is one of the highest rated best performance power supplies you can find.
I tried to RMA my graphics card but they found nothing wrong with it and sent it back.

Hello,
I have been looking for verification that if I buy the Dell 24 Gaming Monitor – S2417DG and attach it to my Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI that I will get full 2560x1440 resolution refresh rate 165 Hz with 1ms response as the Monitor specs are listed.
I can find no information that the HDMI will pass this level of output.
I have talked to Dell tech support and they do say that the HDMI port is connected directly to the  NVIDIA  GeForce GTX 1050T i with 4GB GDDR5 but I also have seen information that HDMI will not support this.
So I am looking for verification on this configuration being compatible/able to output the full capabilities of the video card to the monitor via the on board HDMI output?

A:Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI Specs/Does HDMI out support full bandwidth for G-SYNC Dell Gaming Monitor – S2417DG

First of all, G-Sync as far as I know requires DisplayPort and will not run on HDMI.  Even if it does, I don't think even HDMI 2.0 has enough bandwidth for 1440p @ 165 Hz.  And even if it does though, all of the Dell systems I've seen have only had HDMI 1.4, which is only enough for 1440p @ 60 Hz.  But even if all of that isn't a problem, does the Inspiron 7567 have ONLY a GeForce GPU, or does it have an Intel GPU plus a GeForce GPU?  If it's the latter, G-Sync will definitely not work because in almost all systems that have both GPUs, only the Intel GPU is directly wired to the display outputs.  If your system has ONLY the GeForce GPU, then G-Sync should work in theory, but again you may have the bandwidth problems I mentioned above.

I was wondering is 5ms response time good enough for FPS Gaming like COD: Black Ops, BFBC2 etc etc etc?I have been ordered this Asus monitor.
Or do you really need the 2ms version of Monitors? Is the performance worth the extra cost
Coz It costs a bomb here in my country to get a 2ms monitor compared to 5ms (both same screen size, Full HD resolution).
I wouldn't mind if the difference is too little to actually bothers me.

If you look at my sig, is this PC good for gaming? Because I have been having a hard time with certain games. Doom 3 works well for the most part but will lag up during combat when there is a lot of shadowing and dynamic lighting going on. As well as post processing effects like bluring and such. Now Far Cry seems to be slow ALL the TIME. Half Life 2 on the other hand works like a charm with everything turned ALL the way up. I am thinking that it might be my Video Card causing me all this grief cause the rest of my specs always seem to fall well within the recomended specs for each game. Can anyone suggest any changes to my System to improve performance for games.

An idea

If you go to ebuyer/newegg/scan or any major hardware etailor.com you can price up all of the parts individually. Then you could see the total and you would know if you are getting a bargain or not.

From the spec I would think that you would have a great time with gaming on that rig.

Hello, hi i just bought this laptop about 2 days or so ago, and i was wondering would these components in it be good for a game called Dragonica Online? because i play and it seems to lagg and i dont know what the problem is so here is what my info says:

Model: HP G61 Notebook PC

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual-Core M300 2.00 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 3.00 GB (2.75 GB usable) (i already have the game installed)

System type: 64-bit Operating System

Now i installed it the first day and it ran so smoothly but here is what else i have well this is what Cpu-z tells me anyways.

Clocks (Core #0):

Core Speed: 798.0 MHz

Multiplier:x4

Bus Speed: 199.5 MHz

HT Link: 1595.9 MHz

Cache:

L1 Cache: 2 x 64 KBytes (2-Way)

L2 Cache: 2 x 512 KBytes (16-Way)

Now this is the type of Graphics Card i have.

AMD M889G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

And underneath it it says Memory: Size 336 MBytes

Now i know completley nothing about computers and laptops exept for how to use them and stuff like that and i am also running Windows 7 which i heard is horrible for gaming and i always thought the operating system had nothing to do with how games will run but what do i know right? well can some1 please explain to me why this game is lagging? it only takes up about 400MB on my pc or so so idk why this is happening if some1 could please help me out and tell me what i am missing this would be great thank you for wasti... A:Would this be good for gaming?

Laptops in general are not designed for gaming, and your ATI Mobility Radeon 4200 is probably only designed for some HD video and very light gaming. I've never heard of Dragonica Online, but I assume it's just a MMORPG and doesn't sound like a very demanding game, so you may want to check your internet connection/wireless card to see if that's causing the lag.

Hello!

I want to buy a new gaming PC, and I was looking around for something good. Someone recommended me this build:

Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3
Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003
Graphic card: Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5
PSU: XFX TS Series 550W
HDD: Corsair Vengeance - DDR3
Processor: AMD Black Edition - AMD FX 6350

I'll have to pay around 873 euros for this PC. This includes Windows 7, 1 year warranty, anti virus (Bullguard Anti Virus), and a Sharkoon gaming set (keyboard and mouse).

Is this worth it? Can I play games like League of Legends with no lag? Is it a good pc for its price?? Any advice is much appreciated since I don't have that much knowledge on PCs. I thank you in advance for helping me!

A:Will this be a good gaming PC?

Well that price translates to about 1200 US dollars. IMO you can build a much better pc for that price. I would check out TS's PC buying guide. Their enthusiast level machine seems like a much better deal than the one you posted. Check it out here: http://www.techspot.com/guides/buying/page4.html

Minus the sound card and maybe a cheaper case it is about the same price as the one you posted.

LGA775 is dying but if you are strapped for cash, spending $160-200 (assuming your PSU is adequate) on a card would keep you going awhile. To give you a performance reference, the Core2 Quad performs on par with the current i3's. If current gaming benchmark's of the i3 is satisfactory, then you are good for awhile. If you think you need i5 or better performance, then a new system would be recommended.

Decent, 9500 GT is a bit weak for modern gaming though. Also, the 400W power supply has to be of high quality to really be enough for that. Corsair, OCZ, Enermax, Seasonic, Silverstone, PC Power & cooling...

With regards to the graphics card, you may want to wait a few months for the Radeon 5xxx series, they should be cheaper per performance, more energy efficient, and will have DX 11 capability...

Mega special 2I dont know if it will change for you but i am going to get a Nvidia 560 Ti EVGA overclocked and a i5 2500k instead of a i7 2600k and a Nvidia 550 Ti

A:New gaming Rig is t a good one?

Good swap on those components - put the money where the gaming performance is.

Also consider the 10% OC option for only $19 unless you plan to OC yourself - a cheap upgrade, although it may affect other choices.

The CoolerMaster HAF 912CoolerMaster HAF 912 is reported to run hot. You might want to consider another case. Or at least go for the case fan upgrade for $9 if it has places for more fans.

Under Optical Drive you have not checked the free upgrade to the ASUS Blu-Ray reader DVDRW combo drive

No operating system checked. Are you going to install some software you already have?

Looks like you will have a nice gaming system.

Im building a gaming PC at the moment and i have got this case: Casecom Black Midi Tower Case - Cheap at Ebuyer! and this is the PSU im gona be buying : CIT 750W Dual 12V Rail 12cm Fan PSU - 2x SATA 1x PCI-E - Ebuyer as this has 7 molex as well as 2 SATA which i need only thing i was worried about was the fan it has on top of the PSU will it be ok and not over heat as the PSU sits at the top of the case covering it. Also soes it seem like an ok PSU for price. Thanks for any help you can give.

A:Is This PSU good enough for a gaming rig?

The PSU needs to be mounted so that the fan is underneath and not on top. That way, it pulls the warm air from within the case and vents it away from your system through the PSU, with the air exiting your system through the grid of holes on its rear panel.

I recently made a thread about a pc build and have now been thinking whether to build one or not even though it would be cheaper because I don't want to risk messing something up someone recommended this pc https://www.chillblast.com/chillblas...s-tab-features and I was wondering if it was any good and would it run Battlefield 4 and the new battlefield 1 when it is released?

Historically a message in a bottle is a form of communication whereby a message is sealed in a container (archetypically a glass bottle, but could be any medium, so long as it floats and remains waterproof) and released into the sea or ocean. The phrase "message in a bottle" literally comes from the practice of placing an important but untargeted letter inside a (usually) glass bottle, sealing it, and allowing ocean currents to carry it away. There are indications that ancient Greek scientists used the message in a bottle to study the general flow of oceans and early militaries also used bottles to relay messages to distant troops, although this method did have a few tactical drawbacks. For more information please visit www.messagebybottle.com.
Thanks a lot.

A:How good the pc for gaming?

I am new to PC gaming and I don't know enough to build my own. Will this PC be good enough to play new games like Fallout 4 or even GTA 5? Are the specs decent like the CPU, GPU, RAM and power supply?

I am looking at this PC for gaming but I don't want to pay much and I was looking around and I was wondering if this was a OK gaming computer it has

Processor 2.80GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core
RAM, standard 3GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
Hard Drive details 400GB 7200RPM SATA
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

I know it would need a new grphics card (I was looking at a nvida 9600 GT) but other than that is it ok

A:Is this a good gaming PC?

Yes but it would be better with 4 GB of Ram instead of 3 GB.

A:New to PC gaming, is this a good build?

Those specs are solid for a Gaming PC. However, I'm positive you will save money if you just built it yourself. Also, that list doesn't include a PSU. So, you will need to pick a PSU for your build. The PSU is one of the most important parts. Thus, you always want to pick something with good build quality.

Is your budget $1275ish?

If you're open to building the machine yourself. I am sure myself or someone here could help you build a machine best for your budget.

I don't know if this is the topic/forum. I was wondering if this pc build could play all of the following.

Arma 3
Arma 2
Grand theft auto V(GTA5 for when it comes out)
Grand theft auto IV
battle field 3
battle field 4
Dead island
Crysis 3
all metro city's
And a lot of games like that to medium-high-max settings.

If I posted this on the wrong forum i'm sorry.

A:Looking at a new laptop, good for gaming?

while that computer would probably run most mainstream games fine, it may struggle with the more CPU and GPU intensive titles and i personally wouldn't dish out a grand on an HP. if that's your budget you will be happier with a sony vaio or toshiba satellite desktop replacement. the pavillion seems decent but i don't typically approve of HP's build quality. of course, i will always opt for a mid to high end desktop for gaming anyway, since they are more expandable and robust, but it's up to you.

Would these gaming pc specs be able to run games like DayZ on high settings? Give me suggestions if I should change some parts.

A:Are these good gaming pc specs?

GTX 760 isn't much of a gaming card for a $2000 rig.
Probably should think about getting a gtx 780Ti or R9 290.
