I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have an IOGear 2-port print server (GMFPSU22W6) that works like a gem when I have an ethernet connection with my Dell XPS M1330 notebook (Vista). I have 2 USB printers attached to the PS, and the IOGear PS Control Centre shows both when I'm wired. However, as soon as I go wireless (2wire residential gateway) the Control Centre no longer sees he print server. When I'm wireless I can see it in my Network list, I can ping it, and I can get to its control console via its IP address through Inernet Explorer. But, for some reason IOGear's Control Console won't see it. The puzzle is that I had a previous unit (that I fried updating new firmware) that worked flawlessly.

Any ideas?

Hello, I've found this forum in desperation really, I can't figure this problem out. I have purchased a Belkin "Wireless G All-In-One Print Server" and have plugged it into my Sky Router, to join it onto my network, just like the manual says to do. After installing the print server as it says to do, I plugged my Printer into it. I connected to it via Belkin's Print Server manager and Vista instantly started installing the printer. I tried printing a Test page and it got halfway then the Print Spool crashed, I can get it to start to print if I uninstal then reinstall everything, but after one attempt, Vista says that the Printer is offline.

If I unplug the printer from the Print Server, Vista makes a sound as if I've unplugged it physically. The port that Vista has installed it into is USB001. Vista detects the disconnecting and reconnecting of it though.
Any ideas, please?

No replies? Just kidding!

Just an update, I have my brother's laptop here while he's away, and that runs XP, using XP it prints fine. The problem I'm having is the Epson monitor crashing, I think.

Hi Guys,
I hope someone reading this can help me.
I have recently upgraded from Windows XP (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64 bit) and having (severe) problems with my Belkin F1UP0001 Print Server and associated Brother HL-5150D laser printer.
All worked under XP with a static IP - no problems.

If I connect the Brother via USB 1 it works fine, so the drivers are there. Not sure if it's W7 included drivers or the Vista 64 it I also downloaded.

If I use the Network Wizard in W7 to find the printer and server box, it will and I can print.
Next time I switch on the computer and printer it won't print and appears to be offline.

I am using these settings: Static IP (outside the range on the Router (0 - 10), Port 9100, RAW Protocol, RAW TCP/IP ticked, FTP also ticked (I think I need this for other wirelessly connected computers?)
Problem is it how do I get W7 to realise the printer is there and not offline?
Many thanks for any help, it's been driving me mad!

A:Belkin Print Server and Windows 7

Another thought on my problem:
The Brother laser printer has both USB and centronics connections.
Can I connect my computer to the centronics whilst also connecting the USB to my print server (the print server works from other computers as they are using XP)?
If so can I use a USB to centronics cable? I have seen some reports these cables do not work with 64 bit systems. Anybody have any views on this please?

OR can I put a parallel PCI card in my pc and connect directly to the laser printer that way?
Will a parallel PCI card work with Windows 7 64 bit?

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

I have a SOHO with several computers running XP Pro. I recently inherited a Lexmark MarkNet Pro 1 (sans installation CD, unfortunately), and I'd like to hook up my printer through this print server directly to my router so that the printer is available to any computer that is on. When I plug everything in, I can print a test page that shows the TCP/IP address of the printer, so I assume that part is working. But when I go to add the printer, the computer can't "see" the print server. In the Printer Wizard, I've tried browsing for the print server/printer, and I've tried entering the URL. I've also tried creating a standard TCP/IP port. All to no avail. I'm not a networking expert, and I think there must be some small key point that I'm missing. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

A:Need basic info on setting up a Lexmark print server on XP Pro

Go to Lexmark and get the drivers etc. first:

When I installed my printserver (Netgear PS110), I had to first install the PS-driver on each PC. Then (re)install the printer drivers as a LOCAL machine, not-shared, and when it comes to selecting the printer-port, you select the network-port that has been installed by the PS-driver.

I assume that Lexmark won't be that different.

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is in the correct section but to me this seems to be a connection issue rather than a hardware issue.
We have an Epson XP-305 wireless all in one printer, which has been printing fine for the last few days and will successfully print with all of the laptops in the house except for one. This issue has began today and printing previously has been fine.

When attempting to print, for example, a webpage using the normal methods of printing, an error dialogue will show on the computer screen (printer remains in its normal state) stating 'Unable to communicate with the EPSON connect server. -2'.
I have tried printing on another laptop in the house and it works perfectly fine so it is identifiable as a problem with this specific computer - not the network connection for the whole house etc.

I have gone through our McAfee firewall settings and all services that are to do with the printer seem to have full access (and if they hadn't I changed it so they did), but still nothing. If it helps at all there seems to be some form of communication with the printer and the computer itself as when I ping the printer's IP address it comes back with normal replies. The network connection status sheet appears normal apart from the 'Epson Connect Status' being disconnected. However, when I try to load the Epson Connect set up program it says the service is unavailable and the connection failed.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have spent hours getting to a point where I can print wirelessly only by rebooting the laptop and then printing one document. Further prints fail - unless laptop rebooted. The print server is connected wirelessly to a Dlink DSL-G604T modem/router. I reckon that, since the print server WLAN light is flickering intermittently the whole time - even when the machine is switched off - that the print is not completed properly and that the print server does not receive a print end instruction. This is borne out also after rebooting and printing that only 99% of the print job is performed - it never gets to 100%. Has anyone else seen this problem - and has anyone fixed it? Otherwise the print server will be going back to the store.

I've just installed a wireless Belkin Print Server and having several problems. There are 3 computers, 2 on Windows 2000 and a lap top on XP. At first 2 of the printers could print fine. Then I downloaded the printdrivers for the HP 6110 on to the 3rd machine. Since then the drivers have been deleted from the other 2 computers - and the download version doesn't work. So now none of the computers can print.

I can reinstall the drivers - but what is to stop this happpening all over again?

The network is wireless (netgear) using BT Broadband. Can any one suggest what I can do to retsore the printer - incidentally after the pc drivers disappeared I checked the lap top and it was fine until it was switched on - it worked once then went teh same way as the others...Can anyone help?

I've been given a Belkin F5D7231-4P router/print server. My USB printer (HP PSC2110) is in my bedroom due to lack of space downstairs, and I'm sick of carting my old laptop upstairs to print. I already had an old WAP upstairs (cabled to my router downstairs) to enable use of my laptop in the garden. So I configured the F5D as a WAP and as a print server for the HP, intending to print wirelessly from my Win7 Ultimate (64 bit) desktop downstairs. I can log on to the F5D wirelessly from my PC via my WLAN, and the print server function on the F5D supports the printer fine. But the print server install onto my PC gave error 1805 when trying to install the print server port. So I've installed the printer manually as a TCP/IP port pointing to the IP for the F5D. All seems fine apart from the fact that on my PC the printer shows as offline - I can send a test print - but of course it never comes out, just sits in the print queue. The job in the print queue shows nothing for the port. I found on this site a query about the same problem using a Belkin wireless print server F1UP0001 (solution quoted below) - but have double checked the settings on both the F5D and the printer install on my PC and they're identical to what's suggested for the F1UP0001 (correct IP for my router, RAW set, correct port number for the print server on the F5D etc) I've of course tried rebooting the F5D, the printer, my router, and my PC - to no avail. I had a Print Server EUSSO that connected with my old deskjet printer (HP deskjet 845c USB) to my knowledge it working fine...

Though I had bought a new printer (HP laserjet 1020 USB) hook it up to a Print Server but to my amazement, I couldn't get it to work (it working fine, if plug direct to PC)... I set it the way I worked with the old deskjet (HP deskjet 845c USB) and I don't see why it didn't work... Or maybe the Print Server do not support the new Printer? I had visit HP support site, and they just didn't give me any good solution...

Note: upon completing the setup and do a test print; I notice there aren't any error messages display... I see a queue of file on the Printer Document Name last for 2 seconds and dissappear, No errors messages...
But if I try to change the port name/number it will display error message upon printing, and the file on the Printer Document Name didn't dissappear either...

I am so curious why it didn't work?
1. I know it not the printer fault
2. Print Server is not malfunction either (unless it not meant to support my new printer)
3. Not the cable either
4. I don't see any wrong doing with my setup, since I got the first one work and running
5. Now I am sitting duck

Any feed back on this issue would gladly be appreciated...

A:Print Server won't print on new printer

Did you install the drivers for your new printer? (Obvious, sorry, but I have to ask) Best bet would be to uninstall all printers and printer software you have and start over from scratch.

The print server doesn't have to support your printer - all it does is take the data sent by your computer and forward it to the USB port. Your printer however has to support the print server. Some printers require a bidirectional connection with the computer and that cannot work over the network.

Does your print server suppirt several types of connection? It could be any combination of LPR, SMB, JetDirect and any proprietary protocols. Try something else than you are using right now.

How would I go about doing this?

In my basement is where the DSL Box is hooked up, but that computer is not connected to a printer. There is another computer in the basement that is hooked up to the printer (Very old printer, like stone age old)
Upstairs there is a new printer with fax/scan/copy/everything (HP Photosmart 2610)

I do not know if it is hooked up to the internet, I don't think it is. There is a phone jack in the back, do I just get a phone cable and hook it up or what?

How would I go about making it print to the one upstairs?

A:I need to be able to print wirelessly via my laptop.

The phone jack on the HP Photosmart 2610 is for the fax. If want to use it I suggest that you read about faxing in the User Guide.

"How would I go about making it print to the one upstairs?"

I guess "the one upstairs" means the HP Photosmart 2610. What is "it"? If "it" is a computer you either connect it to the HP via USB, or else connect both the computer and the HP to a LAN (Local Area Network). In either case it's best to also follow the installation instructions.

The printer is an HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer series - E910. We have a Windows 8.1 laptop and a Windows 7 Home Premium tower.

I downloaded the software onto the Windows 7 PC, ran the software and was prompted by the printer to hit the WPS button. It found the network and successfully installed the printer.

Then I downloaded the HP software for Windows 8.1 onto the laptop and ran the installation file. I was once again prompted to press that WPS button, which made no sense to me. It could not connect to the network (although it did display the SSID) and the printer display then wanted me to manually enter the passphrase. It would not connect that way either. And when I went back to the W7 tower, the printer was no longer showing up in Devices and Printers.

What did I do wrong?

A:Want To Print Wirelessly On Two Computers

After 5 plus days and zero responses I'll mark this as solved. I simply installed the printer on the network, picked one of the computers, downloaded the full install package from HP, and set it up on that PC. Once that was complete, on the other PC, I downloaded the HP printer (drivers only), for that OS.

Seems like in the 5 days and 266 views this topic has spent languishing, somebody on this forum should have been able to impart that information. Maybe the next poor slob in the same boat will be helped if he finds my solution.

I have just bought a new all-in-one printer, the Canon MP630 and need to connect it to my wireless network. I have a desktop and a laptop which both access the internet using a Netgear DG834GT with the wireless laptop and the Netgear USB adapter that came with it for the desktop. The new printer is in the same back room as the desktop but on the other side of the room. The laptop is used all over the house. The DG834GT is in the front room of the house as there is only one phone point coming in to the house. I may be getting a second printer in the future which I would also want to use wirelessly.

I need to be able to print wirelessly from both the desktop and the laptop and I think that I need a print server. I have looked online and there seems to be such a wide choice from mini ones to ones with switches(?) etc that I don't know what I am looking at.

Please can anyone help with some advice on what I need to do and a good model to buy? I am in the UK BTW. Many thanks.

A few settings I would look at in the properties of the printer object:

1)try a PCL driver if it's PS
2)make sure it sends the job directly to printer, not spooled
3)check for other devices using LPT1 port (or whatever port you use)

If as you say, you have tried the head cleaning process, the question then is... are the cartridges from the same source/batch.
Really need to try another colour cartridge in the printers to rule out faulty cartridges.
Next up assuming the new cartridge will not print, is to reinstall the print driver and test again.

A:Please help with my Lexmark z1300 (Can't Print)

Assuming that it connects through USB (you dont say and most new printers do) I assume its a USB fault.

Go into the control panel (start settings control panel) and double click on system, hint you may need to change to classic view (top left of the control panel box) then click on hardware and then choose device manager.

Scroll down the list until you find USB root hub and its associate devices then right click each entry and choose uninstall.

Once all are gone (dont worry if any wont remove thats normal) reboot the PC.

XP will boot back up and reinstall the USB entries, then try reinstalling the printer again.

I tried a lot of troubleshooting and couldn't get it to print. I then uninstalled the software that came on the CD with the printer and reinstalled. I no longer go the printer offline message, but it still didn't print. I tried to set it up with the USB connection option and that prints fine.

How do I get it to print wirelessly?
I tried running the HP Scan & Print Doctor for Windows but it didn't give me any info on how to fix the printer not printing wirelessly.

On the install screen with the CD, I've tried putting in the IP Address that appears on the front panel of the Printer and it says it doesn't recognize the printer.

I've also tried to do a factory reset of the printer to try and install everything from scratch, but immediately the light on the printer turns solid blue meaning it is connected to WiFi (I don't get how it connects to WiFi after a factory reset and me not putting any WiFi Network info in).

I'm turning to this forum for any suggestions on what I can try to get the thing to print wirelessly again.

Any help is much appreciated.

you should be able to print out the network settings on the printer
can you do this and post
the IP info here please

and then from a PC post an ipconfig /all please

ipconfig /all

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply
Note: you will see entries named Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: we dont need to see that information - JUST the information above those entries

For Windows 8 or Windows 10
To open a Cmd Prompt or an Administrator Cmd prompt from the Desktop.

My Epson WF-2750 will print as usual via wifi but if I try to copy on the unit itself it won't respond. The trouble started with a change cartridge message this morning but now that message is gone and the printer shows only that one color is low, not empty. I can scroll through settings, etc. on the screen but there's no response to START keys if I try to copy, either on the glass or using the feeder. I've unplugged it and restarted several times with no change. One thing I did notice was that the light bar was flashing constantly when I lifted the top to put something on the bed. Don't know if that's normal, but it appears to have stopped now. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks.

A:Lexmark printer doesn't print

Since this worked in the past, something has changed or something is broken. Can you borrow another printer? Have you tried disconnecting one of the computers and starting a print job on one system at a time?

A:my Lexmark wont print documents...

Uninstall the Lexmark software using Add and Remove programs, delete the printer from the Printer section (in Control Panel) and shut down the computer. Power off and disconnect the printer from the computer. Then boot the computer and reinstall the printer following the manufacturers instructions.

After trying to send a fax using Fax Wizard and realizing I didn't put in the correct area code I wanted to cancel that fax. When I opened the fax console it didn't show the details anywhere. I then decided to print out the fax and got a This Document Failed to Print error message. I have tried to reboot, have disconnected the printer, have disconnected the cable to the printer rebooting each time. Still can't print. Any ideas?

A:Document Won't Print Lexmark X125

Lexmarks, I'm afraid, can be a real headache. I have owned several. Once you get to know your printer, you'll figure out it's ways and you will learn how to keep it happy. Meanwhile, you probably are better off uninstalling the software driver and reinstalling it as per the instructions and then run your printer. With Lexmarks, especially older ones, its always a good idea to be sure your printer power is on before you boot your computer and if you want to shut it off, do so after the computer is off.
