Q: Can't get rid of this Delta toolbar.

My toolbar keeps changing to Delta and I can't get rid of it. It won't let me uninstall it in the uninstall programs. I ran
a program that said I had 533 errors : ex: zado, gator, tovaro etc. After scan they wanted me to buy and I can't afford

Preferred Solution: Can't get rid of this Delta toolbar.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello there and thanks in advance for your help.

You all have gotten me out of some sticky problems with your instructions, and I hope you can help me fix my machine again.

These nasty malware toolbars were accidentally downloaded with the free video editing software VSDC, and I haven't been able to get rid of them.

I thought the funmoods problem was resolved, but it appears in my logs. Delta is also annoying. When I run Malwarebytes, it finds a long list of Delta PUPs, I move them to the quarantine, clear the folder and reboot, but they ALWAYS come back. I searched for Delta and moved a bunch of folders to the recycle bin, but didn't delete them because I'm not sure what to do, which is why I need your help!

I also have a  problem with the remains of many anti-virus folders from pretty much every program you can imagine in the Local Settings/Temp area, but that might be a topic for another section.

For reference the files MBam quarantines are located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Leroy Smith\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\mnzehubl.default\prefs.js

I bookmarked a great thead here on how to remove Delta using Farbar, adwCleaner and Junkware removal. I'm happy to follow those instructions, but just want the go ahead from someone who is more knowledgeable.

Thank you so much for your help,
Liz

Hello,
the Delta search spyware installed on my computer when trying to download something.
Now every attempt to remove the toolbar from my browsers is unuseful, but moreover the machine is starting to slow and not to respond as it should.
Mindful of a previous rootkit infection, I haven't run anything else than AVG antivirus before asking for advice from someone here on the forum.
Any suggestion or help please?

Thanks

Hi,

I accidentally installed Delta Toolbar while installing another app. I'm fairly good at malware removal, but it can't hurt to have more eyes looking at this. The DDS log for the current state of affairs follows (and the Attach.txt file is zipped and attached), but this is after I've already taken quite a few steps to get rid of it, which I believe fixed it apart from a few stray config entries. Please see after the log for a complete list of everything I've already done.

A:Accidentally installed Delta Toolbar, looking for confirmation that it's gone

Forgot to mention when I posted originally that I had attempted to remove BD and Delta via the Programs & Features Control Panel applet, so I edited the post to include that after step 3.

Also of note: At some point before rebooting for Spybot, a dialog appeared asking if I wanted to reset Chrome back to normal. Unfortunately I was in the process of hitting Escape at the time and accidentally pressed it on this dialog instead of what I was attempting to do. Thus, it's quite possible that Chrome's settings may still be messed up. I have not started Chrome since then. (My usual browser is Firefox anyway.) I'd like to find a way to fix these settings if needed without starting Chrome, in case it uses some sort of exploit to reinstall itself.

I keep running spybot and the delta toolbar always is indicated and I don't know how to get rid of it; spybot just says to restart and run spybot on startup which I have done but this doesn't remove it either. Maybe its hidden in my registry. I also run Norton Security Suite several times a day.

Hi there,
thanks a lot for being around in the first place, yet again I'd like to ask for some help.

This computer has started to act weirdly in the last 2-3 months and just now started to show the unmistakable symptoms of malware.
Unfortunately, apart from iLivid I don't know exactly what's wrong.
1. Web browsers' settings disappeared and every link opens in new window, eventhough it is set to open in a new bar or opens in the same bar. Nothing helps to get it right.
2. iLivid is constantly everywhere, on facebook, google etc.
3. There are Yontoo ads all around the place
4. fan is in the range of 60-70 degrees

What I have done so far:

1. Run spybot 3-4 times and there was always something constantly rebooting the computer, constant TeaTime dialogues, finally removed it when I thought I'd rather turn to professional help.
2. Run MBAM, removed 8 malwares and reboot, new scan was clear, but iLivid is still around the place.
3. Run MBAM rootkiller, clear scan.
4. Tried to run securitycheck, but the notepad dialogue showed that my system is not supported and aborted the processes.

And here we are now.

Could you please post what logs do you need and please check if I am at the right place.

Thanks a lot!

I have the latest version of Firefox (computer runs on Windows XP Home with latest patches and service packs). I'm having problems with my Google toolbar and my booksmarks toolbar. They function just fine. Now, when I right-click, then I can choose which toolbars can be displayed or not. I encounter the following problem. If I don't want Google toolbar to be displayed, the bookmarks toolbar vanish. And if I turn off the bookmarks toolbar, Google vanishes. So obviously, there's a confusion between the toolbar-paths. De-installing Google toolbar and re-installing didn't help. How can I correct this problem?

Let me begin by saying that I am NOT experienced with computers, and that I have been blessed with two preteens that love to play games on the internet and download random crap that has led me here. I was having problemswith Google Chrome, and wanted to switch to Firefox. I uninstalled Chrome but when attempting to download Firefox, I was "told" that my computer was incompatable. (It's an old Vista piece of crap) so I reinstalled Chrome. When it was finished, I realized that when I got online, three tabs opened, one for Chrome, one a new tab, and the third was Delta Search. I'm always careful to read everything before downloading anything, because theres always a hidden toolbar or something else that I don't want. Now, I've gone into the control panel, don't see anything related to Delta or Yontoo, went to Internet Explorer to manage add ons, that didn't work...it just won't go away! what to do, what to do? Any advice will be helpful!!!

When I switch on computer, instead of going to my email page in outlook, it goes to a site called delta-homes, and although I change back to outlook as my home page, still goes back to delta-homes. I run Mcfee, and it keeps warning of dangerous site and I accept prompt to close it, but keeps coming back.

Hello TSF,

I am having this irritating problem that didn't even get fixed after reinstalling windows, well it simply reappeared immediately, I am not sure which program is possibly causing this since I didn't notice the problem after installing any specific program.
The browsers keep on changing its homepage to this site:-

removed link

I uninstalled some programs that I couldn't identify also the shortcuts keep on changing targets to:-

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" removed link

And for firefox:-

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" removed link

It happens a lot (I keep changing the homepage back and removing the link from the target) I use firefox all the time and sometimes the browser simply closes and changes the homepage to delta-homes.

I even typed this thread twice o.o

I hope you could find a permanent solution and a way to prevent this.

Hi, I play Delta Force Task Force Dagger, but my problem lies with trying to play the game on two of my computers simultaneously on my home network. I have three computers hooked up to a Linksys BEFSR41 router. All with Windows XP. All I want to do is be able to play on the net with at least two of my computers. It will let me for about 15 minutes, but then will crash both computers off the server. I have tried DMZ'ing one of the computers and have also tried port triggering and forwarding using 17478. Ive been playing with this problem for over 6 months now and now im fed up with it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have two copies of the game? If not it could be that Novalogic sees two PCs using the same copy of the game and therefor boots you.

My laptop runs Google Chrome with no sign of Delta Search so

I'm new here and aquired this I believe when my son was downloading some music.   I have run Malwarebytes a few times and now have it where it finds nothing.  I have also deleted any signs of it via Revo Uninstaller and took steps to remove it from Firefox, Chrome and IE.  I noticed today that I'm unable to create any new folders, I click on the option and nothing appears to happen and I no longer have the option when I right click on the folder.   so it makes me thing I still might have it on our computer or I guess it could be another problem.  I hope someone has some advice for me.

@thegeekaid: You want to be infected? Well go to the third party download repository like CNET, Brothersoft and others where installer contains numerous bundled toolbars or possible PUP.

+ You may explore on our Malware Hub section for Adware based.

Ok, I have a K7N2 Delta-L mobo and love msi. I was checking on kingston memory for this board and didn't find any listing on their web site so I called those fine folks.
They stated that they don't support that board with their memory because the Nforce chipset is not stable. Has anyone had any troubles with that? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks...
Chad

A:K7N2 Delta-L

The Nforce2 boards are a little rough on memory at default settings in dual channel mode, the fix for this is just to bump the vdimm voltage up one notch.

As far as being unstable, the tech who told you this is out of his gourd.

A:msi k7n2 delta

Check your cooling and temperatures. At 166Mhz, the CPU will be running hotter and may be crashing. Also, if have more than one stick of RAM, then try one stick at a time - one could be faulty.

Is the RAM Kingston by chance? You may need a BIOS update.

Hi soule2souleSorry for the delay in response to your thread. Please take note of the following:1. Please do not run any other tools unless instructed.2. The cleaning process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you that your computer is clean.3. If there's anything that you don't understand, please ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.4. Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.I see from your other thread that it was suggested that you may have a 'Zero Access' infection..... let's check for that.Step 1Please disable Windows Defender... it is known to interfere with our fixes.Normally Avast would have disabled this when installed as it may conflict.Click Start >> Programs >> Windows Defender or launch from the system tray icon.Click on Tools & Settings >> Options.Under Real-time protection options, uncheck the "Real-time protection" check box.Click Save.Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Security >> Windows Defender, at the bottom of the Window Defenders page uncheck under Administrator Options "use Windows Defender" and then Save.RecommendationI am reading some unfavourable things about Anvi Smart Defender plus it may well conflict with the rest of your security.I recommend this is uninstalled.Step 2For x32 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. <<<< ImportantDouble-click the downloaded icon to run the tool. When the tool opens click... How do I make it so that the "common tasks" (Ex. "Other places") toolbar go away, and make the one that shows the directory trees show up every time?

Also, when a save window pops up, how do I make it default to "My Computer" instead of "My Documents"?

Using Win XP Pro.

Anybody seeing this problem? It is frustrating to say the least.

Using Firefox ( latest version ) when I customize my tool bar and drag up icons like "open a new tab" or "open a new window" or my del.icio.us bookmarker link, they won't stay in place when using Vista. After a while they just vanish.

What do you think?

I'm having the same problem. Re-installing Firefox 3 had no effect.

hi, first post, hope someone can help.

well, after running a memory optimizer I got crap results so I restored what was altered... yet, when I tried to browse on firefox afterwards, browser works fine btw, some glitches became apparent.

first, when a program is minimized, like firefox winrar etc, it does not show up on the toolbar at the bottom. matter of fact, the toolbar at the bottom doesn't show the programs that are running anymore. the quick launch stuff, clock etc are still there, but no program tabs... maybe I'm overlooking something simple, but please, a little help.

second, I seem to be not to be able to "copy/paste" stuff anymore.

these are basically minor things, but please, a little help.

firefox 2

Does anyone know why I can see favorites bookmark toolbar, but cannot drag and pin websites to the toolbar?  If I try to add a website to the favorites toolbar, it doesn't retain the icon (website) like it used to.

Hi everyone! I need help. IE8 windows xp service pack 3, more specs in my profile. I don't know what happened but my MSN/Bing Toolbar has disappeared. I have tried uninstalling it but I get an error message that it might have already been uninstalled (in control panel-add/remove programs). Tried appwiz, deleted files and rebooted, but when I go to re-install, I get a message that it is already installed on my computer (from microsoft site). From Bing site, it starts to download, then stops 3/4 of the way and says error, try again, and the same thing happens. Another strange thing is that in IE, I go to View, and my Windows Live, and Msn is unchecked. Clicking on MSN only option is to disable, clicking on Windows Live, a plain toolbar shows, however does not show on other Tabs, even after locking and unlocking the toolbars. I have run McAffee and it quarantined Artemis!. I have run SpyBot, and fixed its entries. Please help. I have run HiJackThis and the following is what it found.
