Q: HP ENVY can't connect via bluetooth

Hello!I have problem with my notebook because I installed bloutooth drivers from hp site and I can see devices like phone, bluetooth speaker etc and I can click Pair. Everything is fine but if I want to send for ex. some pictures from phone to computer nothing happened (on phone I see error message). The same situation is with my beats pill xl speaker - I see this in sound options but I can't use it and music still is playing from computer. Has anyone have the same problem? Thanks

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi !!
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.
Help will be appreciated.

When I first got my HP ENVY, back in 2014, I saw in the settings that their was bluetooth available and I thought that it was a cool feature but at the time I didn't have anything bluetooth to connect to it. I was running Windows 8 at that time but when I updated to Windows 8.1 my bluetooth setting was gone. I didn't think anything of it until recently (still running Windows 8.1 because I didn't like the Windows 10 layout) when the only things I have are bluetooth. Wireless bluetooth headphones, speakers, even my phone only transfers data through bluetooth. I was wondering where my bluetooth has gone. It couldn't have just disappeared because it was there when I got the computer. Would upgrading it to Windows 10 help? Do I need to install a driver that might have not been in the Windows 8.1 update? I would like to enjoy this feature so any help would be appreciated.

Hi,I'm experiencing some issues with the detachable keyboard for my HP Envy x2 15. The keyboard connects to the tablet, through Bluetooth connection, but then disconnects almost IMMEDIATELY - I am unable to use the keyboard. Sometimes the keyboard functions when detached from the tablet but only for a few minutes before it disables itself again. My device is under warranty and protected with an HP Care Pack.

A:HP Envy x2 15 Bluetooth Keyboard not working

@Jas_K, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  Here is a link that may be of some help to you. It is a link from the forums working with bluetooth issues and Windows 8. bluetooth not working in windows 8 Here is a link to a support article on bluetooth as well. HP PCs - Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 8) Check the links out and try what they offer.  I do believe though in your case because it is making connection and only holding it for a few moments that means the bluetooth communications system in either the main body or the keyboard is in need or repair or replacement. Try hooking up a bluetooth head set and see if it keeps connected if it does then the keyboards bluetooth module is gone.  If the bluetooth headset or other bluetooth device does not keep connected to the main body then its bluetooth chip is the issue.  Either way you need to send it in. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html Let me know how things go. Thank you again for posting and have a great day.

A:Envy x2 detachable Bluetooth keyboard

To reset an X2 detachable it is only necessary to  set the keyboard into "discovery? mode: Turn off keyboard. Hold finger down on Bluetooth button until it blinks continuously.Go to device manager and select "Add Device" you should see  "keyboard (ready to pair)?Click on pair and let drivers install. The keyboard is a simple Bluetooth device.  Attach it like any other Bluetooth device.  That is what the little Bluetooth key is for.Unfortunately, HP forgot to document this and the techs get this mixed up with the notebook instructions and the tablet instructions. Happy Bluetooth-ing.

Hello all, I've had my Envy 15t for just under a year now. It came with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and has been running bluetooth with no issues since new. I've recently re-formatted with the same OS and had no trouble re-installing all but one of the drivers: Intel Bluetooth. The computer currently recognizes the hardware as 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' + 'Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator'.  The issue I am having is with that setup, adding any device which should be 'plug' and play (say, a bluetooth speaker) will result in an unrecognized 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'. The solution I found (which worked on a friend's computer) was to obtain the bluetooth driver from the laptop manufacturer and install it. After the install, everything worked as it's supposed to and he can stream bluetooth audio with no issues, happy days. However, on my HP Envy 15t, no version of Intel's Pro Wireless Bluetooth driver/software package will install; I always run into the exact same error at the same point during the installation. I have tried getting the software from Intel directly, through Intel's upgrade utility, directly from HP and through HP Support Assistant all to no avail. The error is as follows:- "There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." When clicking 'OK', the setup 'rolls back' the installation and goes back to sq... Read more

Purchased the brand new HP Envy x360 Convertible today. The product number is X8M12EA#ABU The spec for this product clearly states that it has Bluetooth 4.2 This is the link to where we bought it and the specifications are also there:http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-envy-x360-15-ar052sa-15-6-2-in-1-black-101... Click on the specifications tab, it clearly says it has Bluetoon 4.2 The notebook does a few upgrades when it starts up - We have the latest upgrade. I've been trying for the last three hours to find bluetooth on this device. It is extremely unhelpful, no documents on it, no reference to it on the PC. Have tried clicking the "Action Centre" icon bottom right and looking for the bluetooth icon to activate it... no button exists. Have also tried clicking on the start button, followed by settings, NONE of the settings make any reference to bluetooth. Tried looking in device manager, looking under every category and especially Network Adaptors - No reference to bluetooth. Could someone please explain what's going on? I'm ripping my hair out here!!!! Thank you!

I have bought a HP envy 15 and upon using it a couple of times I turned it on again and Bluetooth had DISAPPEARED it was non existent in any settings or the Control Panel or anything except in Device Manager. After excessive clicking around I found that it had been turned off so I turned it back on.
I have used it for a while since until I turned it on today and found it to be again completely disappeared, I have tried everything within my knowledge to fix it and right now I have re-remembered how utterly worthless HP are at making hardware. I cannot find how to turn it back on again if it is the same error, but I do not think it is.
If I go into my device manager now (see image) it has the exclamation mark through it which means what exactly?? Clicking to update the driver does nothing, restarting does nothing, I can't see how uninstalling or disabling it will do anything. Please advise how I can fix this.

Had an issue with my detachable keyboard losing bluetooth connection.  I then noticed when I would lose this connection and go to the device manager the bluetooth adapter would not show up.  This drove me nuts because it was not always happening at any specific time but randomly.  I would have to reboot a couple of times for it to come back then all would be good until the next time.  After almost two months of this I started to catch on that it would mainly do this when I was on battery power and when I hooked up to the power cord and reboot all would be fine.  I finally found the resolution on a Lenovo web site that has cured this issue.  Haven't lost connection yet and I have even tried to make it lose connection short of shutting it off. 1) Go to the Device Manager (Windows key + X)2) Select Bluetooth and right click on your Bluetooth adapter (mine was Intel Wireless Bluetooth (R) 4.0).3) Select Power Management tab.4) Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off device to save Power."5) Click on OK I tried finding this on the hp.com site but never did so it would be nice if they would post it because I am sure others are having this issue on battery power.  Mine would almost instantly lose connection as soon as I unplugged from power and went to battery power so no doubt I am not the only one with this issue.

I tried rebooting both the router and the laptop several times with no results. Tried all the possible solutions listed in here, still fruitless. The funny things are :1. The notebook connected to the network properly with LAN ethernet cable connected to the router,2. Other devices (phone, tablets) connect to the wifi router properly and able to access internet, 3. The notebook connected to other wifi network (other than the router) properly and easily. No problems detected whatsoever (I tried using phone wifi hotspot thethering)Seems that the problem exist specifically if my laptop connect to this particular wifi router.Any helps would be appreciated, thanks a lot

HELP!  HP Pavilion dv7-6195us...Windows 10 I've spent hours trying to find and sync some wireless bluetooth speakers (Cambridge Soundworks Oontz XL). Could not detect speakers and could find no where to turn on bluetooth. The only place I could find bluetooth adapter, an Intel product was in hidden devices in Services menu. I updated and it said I had the latest version. In desperation, I thought maybe if I uninstalled and reinstalled adapter I might have some luck. Uninstall was easy enough. Now I can't find anything to reinstall. Is that an HP thing or a Windows thing. I have no issues with WiFi (I'm on a home network and have no problems getting on line or printing to wireless printer. I have been able to sync and play speakers from my Android OS phone. Thanx, TUT

A:bluetooth connect

Hi: From what I can tell, your notebook does not come with built in bluetooth networking. If you enter the product number (LW171UA ) of your PC in the box at the link below, you will get a parts list for your notebook. http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx You will not find any bluetooth hardware listed. Most notebooks that have bluetooth come with wireless network adapters that are also bluetooth adapters. The parts list states that your notebook has an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 802.11 b/g/n (1x2) WLAN module. That is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter. http://ark.intel.com/products/59480/Intel-Centrino-Wireless-N-1000-Single-Band

A:W10 Anniv Update "Connect/Envy" app

Hi, Last year Microsoft released Windows 10 upgrade and gave it free for users who used Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 computers. After one year Microsoft released new version and stopped the freebie. That why we have W10 Anniv Update (also called Windows 10 1607). Regards.

I bought this laptop like 3 hours ago and I can't connect to my wifi. All my other devices can connect besides this one. I also tried connecting to a different wifi (Phone Hotspot) and it worked. It gives me the "Connecting to network is taking longer than usual" then it gives me it can't connect to the Wi-Fi. I don't know why its not connecting. All my other devices are working fine on the wifi. I am certain I did not enter the password wrong. I've tried a lot. Also connecting to the internet via Ethernet cable works.

Hi, Many HP Envy machines have HDMI OUT port. In your case, please use USB-HDMI or USB-DVI adapter such as:      http://www.jaycar.com.au/usb-3-0-converter-to-hdmi-1080p/p/XC4973 Regards.

Hi All: recently bought HP Envy 750-197c with dual HDMI, along with LG LED Monitor 24m47. For the life of me, I cannot get the computer to dispaly when connected via HDMI. I've tried different HDMI cords, connected other peripherals via HDMI to the monitor without any issues, and even tried connecting the computer to 2 different TVs via HDMI but nothing. Does anyone have any idea why I cannot get my computer to dispaly via HDMI on my monitor? Any help at this point would be great. Running Windows 10.

A:Envy 750-197c won't connect via HDMI

Hi there @johnjpas34,Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are having an issue with getting a display connected with HDMI to come up. I am happy to help with this. First, check out this: HP Desktop PCs - Connecting Monitors and TVs to Your PC (Windows 10, 8). Then be sure you have the drivers for the display installed. If there are not drivers specific to Windows 10, then try installing the older drivers using compatibility mode in Windows 10/ Please let me know how that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.
