Q: Inspiron One 2330 Integrated Camera

Is there anyway I can use the integrated camera to make recordings? I don't see any software to use.
I want to be able to use the camera to make small youtube videos.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You should be able to. If you have Windows 8.x or 10, go to the Microsoft Store and look for video recording software. I think youtube also has a built in recording thing using flash or HTML5.

My warranty has no run out so dell can't actually help me. I wondered if anyone had a similar problem and what they did? Whenever I try to use the camera the blue light comes on as if to say that it is working but the picture is just black. When I click to take a picture regardless a box pops up that says "Unable to capture a photo. Please reconnect your camera and try again". But if the camera is integrated how can disconnect it? Have tried reinstalling drivers and even the webcam manager itself but it has not helped. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you. x

I have a 2014 Inspiron One 2330
It will not start, The fans run the screen becomes a light grey but the PC  does not get to the dell logo or BIOS.
The screen works If I press the screen settings button it displays the setting graphics.
The dell help desk diagnosed it as motherboard failure.
I have replaced the motherboard with no change it does exactly the same thing as before.
If I  remove the RAM beeps away but no change to the grey screen?
The PC has run perfectly for 3 years. No hardware modifications running on windows 10.
I have undertaken the power off reset procedures no change.
Any ideas?

Hello: I have a Dell inspiron 2330 All in one, about 2 years old.  It is not booting up.  I connected a wired keyboard and tried to push F12 to get into boot options, but I don't think the keyboard is getting power at all.  As soon as I power it on, the screen lights up and then blanks and I hear the hard drive, but nothing happens.  I tested the monitor with my laptop and it is fine.  I recently updated the OS to Windows 10 and it worked fine for more than a month.
How do I get to the boot screen if I wanted to use my USB rescue drive ?
Thanks,

A:Inspiron 2330 does not start

Hi,
Thank you for writing to us!
I would suggest you to follow the below steps to boot the system into Safe Mode with networking and check.
Switch ON the system and switch OFF the system 3 to 4 times when the Dell logo appears. This will make the system to go into ?Windows 8 Advanced Startup Options? screen.
Please select Troubleshoot option and choose the advanced options. Now choose the Windows Startup Settings option and then click the Restart button.
When your PC reboots you will be able to boot into Safe Mode with networking from the Advanced Boot Options screen and check if the system reaches the start screen.
If the issue still persists, I would suggest that you run the diagnostics on the computer by following the steps mentioned below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.
1.  Turn on or restart the computer.
2.  Immediately at the Dell logo screen, starting tapping the ?0? key (zero) once a second until the One Time Boot menu appears (if the computer boots to Windows turn the computer off and try again).
3.   At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press <Enter> to begin the hardware Diagnostics.
4.   Write down any error codes listed. Reply to us with the error codes.
Let us know your findings
Thanks

The Dell Diagnostics passed all tests too...

YOUR Inspiron 5348 SATA OPERATION is set wrong OR the DVD is PHYSICALLY Dead OR the SATA Port is turned off in bios OR the drive was removed and put back but is not seated or the socket is broken.
Not showing up in DIAG means the drive is not physically seen in bios.

Hello, I have an issue with the fan on Inspiron One 2330.
Issue: The fan pulses consistently. On, off, on, off, on. It doesn't matter what I am doing. I have closed all applications and terminated any robust processes. There is no change.
What I've Done So Far:

I've update the BIOS.
I've checked and cleaned the fan.
I've run diagnostics and both thermal and video fan measures check out fine (plus no other errors).
I've manually reviewed and updated (as needed) most high-value drivers, such as chipsets and video cards.

Any thoughts on what I should try next?
FYI, Windows 10 new install.
Thank you!

Our Inspiron 2330 all-in-one display is acting very strange.  When it is turned on there are horizontal lines-that work their way down the display in pinks and blues.  When the lines are there the cursor cannot be moved into that area and the area displayed is distorted.  It will take up about 3/4 of the screen and work its way down the screen until the screen then is finally all able to be accessed.  This happens for about 15 minutes and then--almost like when it is all warmed up or something--the display is then fine until the next time I turn the computer off.  If I turn it off for only a few minutes and back on again it is fine, but if it is off overnight or for several hours the problem is back again and I will need to wait approximately 10-15 minutes for the display to be fully functional again.  It's almost like when it is warmed up all is fine.
I did all of the Dell updates available.  Windows (8.1) is also up to date.
Any ideas what is going on here and how I can fix it?

I've got an Inspiron 2330 which is failing POST (black screen only), doesn't get as far as the Dell logo / splash screen.
What is the technique for starting ePSA for an all-in-one? I've tried a USB Wired Keyboard, powering on with the D or F12 depressed, but doesn't appear to work.
The PC started off with a BSOD, then failed to find Boot Device. I assumed that the HD was failing, but before I popped it out of the machine it had started failing POST. I have confirmed the HD has a fault (doesn't sound at all good while recovering data from it). Just find the double failure (if that is the case) surprising. i.e. HD and failing POST

Hi,

I was looking to upgrade my Dell Insprion 2330 all-in-one PC to a solid state drive, to improve the performance. Firstly, is this possible? If so, is it practical?

Currently I have the factory 2TB hard disk installed and it seems a shame to loose all that storage space. From what I have seen it may be possible to replace the blu-ray drive with a SSD instead? Primarily I would be looking to run my operating system of the SSD and then use the existing drive for the bulk of my storage. That being said I am not sure if I would want to loose my blu-ray player either. I don't use it all that much, but it is still nice to have it there. I understand I may need to make some compromises to make the upgrade, so hopefully someone will be able to point me in the best direction and tell me whether it is really worth it. My PC doesn't run slow my any stretch, but from what I have seen it can make a big difference!

Thanks in advance,

Alex

A:SSD upgrade for Dell Inspiron 2330, is it possible?

Technically speaking, yes you could replace the hard drive with an SSD. I have never changed anything (hardware wise) with an All-In-One unit, but it must be possible. If you are looking to keep the extra storage space, you could take the 2TB hard drive and put it in an external hard drive case and connect it to one of your two USB 3.0 ports. That way you still have storage space to use while keeping your Blu-ray drive and having a SSD for your Operating System and Programs. It wont be as fast as leaving it inside connected with a SATA cable, but it will be better then connecting it USB 2.0 or not using it at all. If you do go through with this "venture", take photos and document what you did each step and then post them up here. May come in handy for someone else in the future.

Use the Create Media tool to burn new install media, boot to it and do a custom clean install and go back to windows 8.1. You cannot use the Factory Restore partition after installing 10. It must be a clean install.

My AIO 2330 starts for about 2 seconds then stops and repeats that once and again (you can hear the fan starting and stopping). Turn it off and it repeats that when I turn it on. The only way that I found to go around that is to turn it off, then remove the memory cards while powered off, reinsert them and power the computer on. The computer starts up just fine, but if I power it off again, it malfunctions again. Since I have exhausted my limited knowledge to diagnose the AIO, I badly need some help. Is there something wrong with the BIOS? Is the motherboard malfunctioning? are the memory card malfunctioning? I would greatly appreciate any help to fix this.

A:Dell inspiron 2330 boot problems

When was last time you replaced the motherboard battery?  I'd start there.
Probably a CR2032 3-volt coin cell, ~$2 at discount stores.  Follow instructions in the manual to remove/replace it:
downloads.dell.com/.../inspiron-one-23-2330-aio_owner's manual_en-us.pdf
Does motherboard beep if you try to boot with no RAM modules installed?
Do you have the same issue if you only insert one RAM module at a time in DIMM 0, the slot furthest from the CPU? Try each of them alone in that slot, if changing the battery doesn't help.

I recently bought Dell Inspiron 2330 AIO Touch with top specs (i7, 2TB,8GB, Win8). Have used it since one month. While browsing web the desktop turned blue saying an error message and that the computer will restart on its own. When it didn't after some time I switched off the mains and restarted it. Now it powers on but even BIOS does not boot or there is no Dell logo also kind of like failed POST while the fan keeps running continuously which used to just run for a second or two when it used to boot normally. It had happened before a couple of times that while watching youtube videos the same error occured but it never failed to restart normally. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.

A:New Dell Inspiron 2330 AIO Touch wont start.

Hi Puneetrai,
Try releasing the residual charge from the system. Here are the steps:

Disconnect any external peripherals (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) from the computer including the power supply.
Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
Reconnect the power supply. Try to restart the computer and check.

If the issue still persists, perform Built In Self-Test (BIST) on power supply. There is a Green LED and BIST Button above the power cord connector. If the LED glows solid green on pressing the button when the system is plugged in to the wall socket the Power Supply Unit is functioning OK.
The power button LED is a bi-color light that indicates the Dell Inspiron One 2330 power state. Please share which state it is in when you try to boot the system:

Off
Solid White
Solid Amber
Blinking Amber

The system can emit a series of beeps during start-up if the display cannot show errors or problems. These series of beeps, called beep codes identify various problems. Please share if hear any specific patter of beep codes on startup.
Hope this helps. Please share the results. I'll be happy to assist you.

That has directions for replacing the Display Panel. However because this is a 4yr old model, it probably would be better to buy a new computer.
Others have reported trouble putting the all in one back together and having it work since it requires completely dismantling the whole computer which is more like a laptop than a desktop.

I have a Dell 2330 that I have hed ongoing issues with. I bought in 2014 and about 2 months from warrantee end, the display began to have multicolored horizontal lines and would kind of phase out. It would respond to touch for a second but then begin to get more "out of sync" then flash and begin again.
I contacted Dell and they dispatched a tech to repair it. The part took almost three weeks to arrive and the tech another two. By the time he was done, it was at a clear picture again. A week later, I am out of warrantee, 2 weeks later it starts all over again. I contacted Dell and was told since I was out of warrantee and it was "fixed" before, I must now pay for service. Not happy with this reply, I shoved it into a corner and forgot about it.
I am not working to try to get it fixed as I would like to try and use it. I have replaced the LCD Inverter Converter Board (as the tech did) but this proved unsuccessful. This happens as soon as the power button is pushed.
I would really like to know and fix this. I have been a loyal Dell customer/supporter for over a decade and this is really a black eye in my opinion. I know I should have kept fighting, but 4 kids took precedence of my time. Any information would be helpful.
Picture attached.

The Inspiron One 2330 has a VGA out port. When you connect a VGA to VGA cable from it to an external monitor, then power on both, does the external monitor also show the issue? If not, then the LCD panel or the LCD cable are defective.

When powered on it went to the desktop but their was no mouse or keyboard support and all desktop icons appeared in the center of the screen. Tried different mice and keyboards but it did not help.
Booted the system to a Linux live CD and mouse and keyboard worked fine.
Put in a new hard drive but when I go to reinstall any version of Windows I get to the Welcome to Windows screen and I have no mouse or keyboard support. Regardless of version of Windows (8.1 or 10) whether on a USB key or DVD. Keyboard continues to work fine while in the bios or for selecting F2 or F12 during startup.

A:Inspiron One 2330 AIO, AMD Radeon HD7650, not working after Windows 10 upgrade?

Hi,
Assuming you have a 64-bit version of Windows on your system please go to the AMD Windows 10 drivers & downloads page to download their latest drivers.  They released them 2 days ago to resolve some issues with Windows 10.
That should, hopefully, resolve your issue.

A couple of days ago I upgraded to Windows 10.  There were no issues or errors with upgrade. Everything went smoothly and everything worked for a couple of days.  I powered the PC off and on a number of times over two or three days.  Today when I turned on the PC it began the boot up process the Dell logo appears then the Windows logo displays briefly then the computer freezes on a grey screen.
Is this a driver issue?   How can I resolve this issue?

Hello - I have a friend with the above system that was running Windows 8.1. Earlier this week the stopped loading correctly.
Any suggestions for getting the system reloaded with Windows would be appreciated.

A:Changing the video/graphics card on a Dell Inspiron one 2330?

Hi BryanX,
The Inspiron One 2330 is available with Integrated Intel HD Graphics and Discrete AMD Radeon HD 7650A Graphics.
These cards are a part of the motherboard. So, upgrading video card is not an option on this computer.
Please reply for further questions.

Dell is aware that a recent BIOS release (version A14) for the Inspiron One 2330 All-in-One.
I pressed F12 while booting up my laptop and ran the diagnostics on my laptop and came out with this Error.
Error Code: 2000-0511
Validation: 103652
Three fans error...
But the 3 fans are working normally, even so the computer has turned off a few times.
I already opened the computer, and the 3 fans are ok, spinning.

My friends  Inspiron One 2330 Desktop has been experiencing problems with the display.

I changed one of the boot options to boot to hard drive now the computer boots in a black screen
and nothing appears . It just stays in a black screen. The 2330 allows you to put hdmi in . So i connected my PS4 to the
computer and switched into HDMI mode and the screen was working find.

Now i was trying to remove the graphics card from the 2330 desktop , but it is soldered into the motherboard.
I tried resetting the CMOS to reset the the BIOS but still nothing is displaying on the screen.

I detached the hard drive  and booted it up and still the black screen.

If there is a method i should try please let me know .
Like I said before the screen was working find . Until I had changed a setting in the
the BIOS screen .

Thanks for your support if you can help or interested in helping me !

A:Dell Inspiron One 2330 Desktop Black Screen After Changing Boot Option

Do you get any indicator lights that the system is booting besides a black screen?

Are there any lights on the monitor?

Try shining a light to the screen what do you see?

Pressing the screen side buttons for menu does the online display come on?

Try resetting the bios once more. This time completely remove the power cord and press the power on button to clear any voltages left in the system, then clear the cmos/bios pulling the battery. Put the battery back in and reconnect the power and boot it.

I had this problem once. It was luckily an easy fix. Just update the driver for the camera by right clicking the integrated camera in device manager and clicking update driver  Hope it helps.

I have a Lenovo Flex 2. When I try to go on Skype for a video call, the integrated webcam doesn't work. I thought it was a driver problem at first, but I tried installing the following driver and it didn't work:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds031749

If anyone has any possible solutions to this problem, that would be much appreciated.

A:Integrated camera not working

Accoding to Lenovo you should be installing this one which is for Windows 10. Here is the one for 8/8.1

The links show two drivers. Pick the one that is correct for your CPU.

Hello,I bought a Thinkpad E430 in June and have used it without trouble until October. My problem is the integrated camera. It worked fine when I bought the computer, but it stopped working. I was able to get it going again by reinstalling the driver, but it's stopped again and the driver isn't even being recognized when I install it and restart my computer. Most of my troubles are similar to this person's only I know that my computer was shipped with a camera: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Edge-S-series/Help-with-an-E530-integrated-camera-that-can-t-be... When I open up web conferencing, it only gives me audio options and when I try to set it up with the device manager it only has the lexmark and xerox options.I tried to just f11 on startup and redo everything, but it gave me an error in doing that.

Hi ladtoyourleft,

Can you pinpoint when/how the malfunction happened?
Did it happen suddenly or did it progessively get worse over time?

I ask to see if there is a point that we might be able to roll back to.

Were there any changes made before the camera stopped working?
