Microsoft Tablet PC Input Component has stopped working.

Q: Microsoft Tablet PC Input Component has stopped working.

Ever since March 3rd, 2009, every time I plug in my MANHATTAN WP5540 graphics tablet, WISPTIS.EXE crashes with the Problem Event Name of "APPCRASH." It was 1:42PM when I plugged in my tablet (Atlantic Standard Time.)

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x64.

For applications, I only installed Firefox 3.1 beta 2, and for Windows Updates the last time that I installed any (major) updates was February 27th, 2009, and I don't believe that I've plugged my tablet in after that until the 3rd.

Preferred Solution: Microsoft Tablet PC Input Component has stopped working.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Microsoft Tablet PC Input Component has stopped working.

Try to remember what you did on March the 2nd, 2009, and then undo those actions in reverse sequence

More seriously, if you post more detail about the crash - those numbers in the "appcrash" event - someone here may be able to suggest what to do.

I am experiencing a small problem with my Windows Vista 64 computer. After I leave my PC idle for a new minutes and come back, I get the message, "Tablet PC Input Panel Accessory has stopped working." I then choose, "Check online for a solution and close the program." Then if I go to my Tablet PC Accessory, it appears to be working anyway. I thought upgrading to Service Pack 2 would fix this problem, but it has not. Has anyone else gone though this problem? Is there a fix out there? Attached is a jpeg of my error message.

Hi ,
I am new to this forum and need a quick help on the following issue.
We have developed a touch device driver on a micro-controller which works with Win7 through USB HID interface.
When the device is connected to the WIN7 host, it enumerates properly and we are able to see the touch gestures working on the WIN7 and "Tablet PC Input Service" service is in running state.
But when we do a restart or replug of the device then "Tablet PC Input Service" service is going to stopped state, even though the enumeration is proper and we can see that in the device manager.

But if we do the Rest or Replug for the next time then "Tablet PC Input Service" service is moving to running state i.e every alternate replug or reset is making the service to be stopped.

But when we delay this replugging of the USB for some time say(Till the device manager completely de-enumerates(removes) the device), then the "Tablet PC Input Service" service is moving to running state properly.

To Summarize "Fast replugs or resets of the USB device is making the "Tablet PC Input Service" service to go ON and OFF"

Please help me to solve this , its turning out to be critical for us.

Thanks in Advance

A:Tablet PC Input Service Stopped after USB reset in Win7

If I understand this correctly:

When you unplug and replug the device too fast,
(before the device manager had a chance to remove the device),
the service goes to "stopped".

When you wait until device manager successfully completes the removal,
and replug the device, the service stays "started".

So what you need would be a way to make the detection of plugged-in devices wait until removal of unplugged devices is completed, right?

Hi everybody,

I'm currenly running a custom-built computer with Vista Home Premium installed, and everytime the computer boots or wakes up from hibernation, I always get this little dialogue box that says:

Hp Task Manager Component has stopped working
this program has closed and bla bla bla, windows cannot find a solution, bla bla, etc.

So i press the button 'close program' and the box goes away, and the rest of the computer runs fine and normal.

But since this message appears everytime I turn my computer on or wake it up from sleeping, it's just really very annoying and I would like to know a way to fix this!

Using Windows Vista 32 bit system. Here is the problem:
Using Windows Vista, 32 bit. Hp forum is not helping to fix problem. Using a HP officejet 6310 4in1 linked up to computer via USB. Have tried 3 different ports. Everything works fine except the scanning portion. Try to scan from computer and receive the error, also, try to use "Scan To" button on the dashboard of the officejet and it gives me an error. My wife has the same system on her computer and everything works great. I can provide the steps that I have used if asked for. Here is what I have done:
1. Closed/disabled all virus/firwall programs.
2. Used both Windows uninstall and HP unistall and 3rd party unstall of program.
3. Did a "regedit" no results
4. checked the string HP recommended and it showed a correct string.
I believe this is all that I have done. So anysuggestions would be appreciated. Also, I believe that it is going to be a software problem initiating from Windows Vista system.
Thank you

The message in the thread title pops up everytime I start up my Windows Vista desktop.

It simply says "livePCsupport Component stopped working and was closed."

I'm pretty sure this is a Comodo thing but I don't know what it is. It's getting kind of annoying.

Can someone help me out here and help me resolve this? This doesn't happen on my Windows 7 laptop. Everything else on my desktop works fine.

I don't want to use System Restore and restore my desktop to before the problem occurred because I would have to install Windows Updates again as that's the point where I would have to restore it to and installing updates takes quite awhile.

Can someone please help me resolve this that doesn't involve system restore?

I'd really appreciate any help anyone here could give me with this.

Thank you.

I installed XP mode in Virtual PC and could access my dos based program in Windows 7 Pro menu, including ability to print.  Suddenly, I get a message that Integration component needs to be installed, in settings says not available- but when
I try to install it says integration comp being unstalled.  After rebooting XP mode, I reinstall the component via msi on d(successfully per install), but still see integration not available in settings after restart of XP mode.  I can open the dos
program in XP mode, but can no longer print and can still not open via windows 7 menu, or get the integration component to be "available" in settings, even if installation of integration is shown as successful.  I ran sfc scannow-no problems.
The DOS program is integral to work functions.  Is it possible that recent  Windows 7 update did something?  ALso I had disconnected the update functions via internet on XP mode for protection once the system was stable ( after finding
out about using hibernate) then shut down to keep work saved.) Don't know if that is a factor.   Please help.

Hello to everyone! My problem is that after the last update of Windows 10 my grafic tablet stopped working. When I conect it to the notebook it just flashing with inegrated light and doesn´t work. When I try to install a new tablet driver the system asks me to connect the tablet, and when i connect it nothing happens like the system doesn´t see it.What I did is to talk with manufacture of the tablet, they recomended me to have the newest update of windows and install new drivers from the tablet (which is imposible for now) and also they told me to download a last version of  usb driver of the notebook. But there´s nothing new in the section of drivers for my notebook. I downloaded ThinkVintage 5.07.0059, but it´s still the same. Also I tried to disconect all the gadjets and connect only the tablet, still nothing. There is no any previous driver of the tablet installed in the system. Basicaly before it was working without any native driver, just with drivers that set up windows in the first conection (plug and play). Ah, also I tried to downgrade the last windows update, but it´s like some bug is still there and now doesn´t give a permision to the tablet. My tablet is Xp-Pen Star03 in case. Thanks to everyone for any suggestion.

Some time in the last month, the tablet function of my X201 Tablet PC conked out.  I'm running Windows 7 (32 bit).  Perhaps there was something wrong with some driver update that was installed either through Windows Update or through the Lenovo Thinkvantage stuff.  I never managed to figure out what was wrong.  I tried installing various updates and drivers from both those sources, and from Wacom, without success.  I couldn't find any thread on the internet that discussed exactly this problem or suggested a solution.  It was a frustrating week! I seem to have solved the problem, though.  Through Control Panel -> Uninstall programs I found and uninstalled everything from Wacom, and all of the "Ultranav" driver stuff from Lenovo.  Altogether there were 6 or so things that I uninstalled.  Then I reinstalled Wacom's tablet driver (ISD Tablet, version 7.1.0-8), and then pen's back, and, indeed, working better than it ever has (the alignment calibration has been terrible since I bought the machine).  I haven't reinstalled the Ultranav drivers, and will probably refrain from doing so. I hope this helps the next frustrated Lenovo tablet user.

I have the following problem, and I'm going to try to explain as detailed as possible. I've searched on the web for an answer and so far no success.

I have a Realtek HD Audio (comes with the motherboard). Anyway I have a headset, with the audio out and the microphone plugged-in. It was all working fine. One day, looking for "cool" programs I found this one and gave it a shot:
It is called MorphVOX. What it does is basically to take your voice and modify the pitch and tone and stuff like that so it sounds in different ways (like a monster, a robot or a child). It can also make a wav sound like if it was sent through the microphone (useful on programs and games like Counter Strike). The program installs it's own audio INPUT driver called screamingbee. I can choose to use this driver as default or not (if not, I have to config each program in order to have the effects of the Voice Morphing, HOWEVER if I set it to default, my sound input WON'T work unless I open MorphVox). Anyway, the program was running just perfectly fine, without a single issue. And tested it over Teamspeak and games as well. But today, I don't know what a hell happened. I was like using it all fine, then when I return to my pc (i usually have it turned on all day), I connected to the Teamspeak and realize my microphone was NOT working. Neither it was on other programs (with MorphVOX on). So I closed MorphVoX and swaped back to the Real... Read more

Microphone input was working (Audigy 2 ZS), but it no longer is. It acts like the input is turned off. Output is fine.

When I went to test the hardware in Windows XP's VOICE RECORDING section of SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVISES, I got an Error Code 0x 80004005: “occurred during DirectPlay Voice Setup – We can not execute Dpvsetup.exe, use ADD/REMOVE PROGRAM CONTROL PANEL TO INSTALL” I can’t find that file anywhere for installing.

For that error code, the Microsoft website suggested resetting the HARDWARE ACCELERATION (in the ADVACED PERFORMANCE section of VOICE PLAYBACK) all the way over to the right, but it was already at that setting and changing it in various positions was of no help.

The Windows XP Pro “dxdiag” shows that my Audigy SoundBlaster's "Kernel Mode" is "No" & "Supports DLS" is "No," but "External" is "Yes."

Anyone got any suggestions?

The speakers for my dell XPS 8500 computer and my dell latitude 10 tablet stopped working on the same day. My computer speakers had been plugged into the monitor and working fine since I got the computer a few months ago. Both the desktop and tablet run windows 8. I have tried dell tech support, but they can not seem to figure it out. I am concerned that since both went out on the same day it could be related. One reason I feel that it may be a single issue is that on one occassion (when I first setup my tablet) my tablet stopped responding and my desktop monitor entered and would not exit standy mode at the exact same time. If anyone has any idea on what could be the cause of the speakers not working on both my desktop and tablet please let me know. I am posting this hear in case its some kind of windows 8 networking issue.

A:Desktop and Tablet Speakers Stopped Working

Since both of your computers are Dells, did Dell support have you run their online diagnostics for your system hardware? The online diagnostics are very much like the PC Doctor based Dell Diagnostics that are likely already installed on both of your Dells. The advantage the online diagnostics have is that they are often more detailed and more up-to-date.

If they didn't have you run them yet, they are free for you to use to troubleshoot your computers. Here's the link to the diagnostics home page --- Dell PC Diagnostics | Dell US --- Note that you can choose which diagnostics to run: 1) all diagnostics 2) diagnostics by symptom 3) diagnostics by component. If you don't have a lot of time, you could start by running the sound system tests.

Both your desktop and your tablet have Realtek audio, ALC3800-CG for the desktop, ALC3261 for the tablet. A feature of Windows 8 is a background service that functions as an Automatic Update for drivers . . . So, possibly both of your computers received a sound driver update on the same day ... or possibly a recent Windows Update arrived on the same day that just happened to affect your sound drivers.

I'll guess that you've already tested for sound with a pair of headphones on each computer?

If it seems likely to be an audio driver issue, you could try different drivers (newer or older, from Dell, Windows Update, or Realtek) ... with the Dell drivers likely to be your first choice. To go straight to the last driver that w... Read more

Hi,I am suspecting a hardware failure, but wanted to check the forums first anyway.I have an X230 Tablet running Windows 8.1 Update. Fingerprint software 6.0. Was working fine (i.e. swipe to power on and log on to Windows and the Lenovo Password Mgr) until this morning. No more green light on the sensor, no function. Windows says that the fingerprint sensor is not available. It was still showing up in Device Manager, I uninstalled it as part of some troubleshooting and it's not being detected anymore now.Any ideas other than hardware? Thanks,SA.

A:X230 Tablet fingerprint reader stopped working

It sounds like hardware failure but try one more thing:
Reboot into BIOS setup (by pressing F1 at the ThinkPad logo screen).
Go to the security -> fingerprint menu.
There's an option about clearing the fingerprint sensor storage (or something like that).

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I havent touched anything, havent changed anything, I've done nothing.

Why the hell has this happened??!?!!? I'm scewed now and have to pothc about dual booting into XP just to get my artwork finished

Why has Windows7 suddnely decided to block my drivers that have been working perfectly fine for 6 weeks for no reason!?!?

even after uninstalling it and running 2 different registry cleaners the tablet drivers were still being blocked.

Hi everyone, I have a Lenovo X220 Tablet that has touch screen and pen. They suddenly stopped working today. The LCD screen still works pefectly fine, however. The touch screen is enabled on the touch settings. When I try to calibrate, it does not detect my finger or the pen. I also noticed that when I tried to reinstall the driver and it said "a supported tablet was not found on this system". I have the most recent bios. I am running Windows 7 that came with the laptop. All windows updates completed. Is it possible for the digitizer to be defective, but the LCD screen to work perfectly fine?Could it be just a ribbon failure?Which part would need to be replaced, if this is the case? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

A:X220 tablet touch screen suddenly stopped working

Even though it looks like a single device, it is really 3 separate ones.  There is a basic panel.  There is a static discharge digitizer in the front to sense finger touches.  There is a second Wacom digitizer behind the panel to detect the pen.  Any of them can fail.  The wires in the cable can also crack.  Since both digitizers failed, I would first look in device manager to see if there could be a problem with a USB hub.  (digitizers both connect as USB devices.)  My next guess would be the cable.  Sorry I cannot be more definite.

A week ago I installed Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 upgrade on top of Windows 2000, with no problems at all until now.

When I now open up Outlook 2007 after about 30 seconds I get an error message:-
Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working, windows is collecting more information about this problem.

I then asked if I want to send more information about the problem to Microsoft.

The next message:- A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Outlook closes and goes back to desktop.

I have looked on the Microsoft Office for updates or patches but there is nothing.

I am very concerned I cannot open this program as I have hundreds of contacts, email accounts and valuable data there.

If I uninstalled Office 2007 and re-install it again, will all my data still be on the computer, or will I loose everything?

Hi, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (Service Pack 1) and my computer has (relatively) recently stopped automatically updating. I have a constant alert in the status bar telling me this is the case with automatic updates and attempting it manually gives me an error code - 80096001 - immediately after attempting it. This problem may have coincided with me uninstalling AVG some time ago, but I'm not sure when it began for sure.

The reason for the thread title is because I recently attempted to install Microsoft Security Essentials, which also failed to auto-update in its initial setup. Could these issues be linked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are two things that I would like to stop appearing on my computer monitor. When I start my computer, a keyboard appears on the login screen, and the other thing is on the left side of the monitor. You are supposed to be able to use it to write stuff, like on a piece of paper, but I'll never use it and to have it keep popping out on top of everything else I'm doing when I get too close to that side of the screen is annoying. Can you tell me what to do to get rid of it? It's called a "Tablet PC Input Panel". Thank you.

A:Pen Tablet Input

whats the make and model of the PC

would you be able to capture in a screen shot and post here

To post a screen shot of the screen, press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file.
To upload it to the forum, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here.Click to expand...

On the Pop Out - is there and option or tools button - setup - you may be able to disable from there

Trying to start Outlook 2010, get message "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working".
(Same result in Outlook "safe mode".)
Outlook opens folder pane, message pane & preview pane. Then a popup with message above.
This is a Windows 10 system "upgraded" from Windows 7 about a year ago via GWX.
The email provider is COMCAST using an Exchange Server via RPC/HTTP connection.
Since we're talking about Exchange Server, the data files are .OSTs.
SFC finds no problems, and neither does CHKDSK.
Event log is cryptic to me (aren't they all?) but names "WINDOWS.UI.XAML.DLL" as faulting module.
I believe this module to be a component of KB3194496, recently installed via Windows Update.
It seems clear to me that this is a Windows Update issue.
There are no available Restore Points.
(event pasted below)
Has anyone else seen this?

Is there a work-around?

Thanks In advance...

Preview Build 14279

Mail stopped working suddenly. When launching now it immediately disappears. It's too bad as I liked the program. Anyway to trouble shoot this??

A:Microsoft Mail stopped working suddenly

Run a system file check to look for corrupt files.

Right click at Start button > click Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this.......
sfc /scannow

> press Enter.
It will take quite sometime.
When finished, it will give you one of the 3 reports...............(paraphrasing)
1. No integrity violation.
2. Found corrupt files and repair successful.
3. Found corrupt files but unable to repair.

If the report is #1, your solution lies elsewhere.
If the report is #2, check if your problems have been resolved.
If the report is #3, use this method................
In the same Command Prompt (Admin) windows, copy and paste this command...........

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

> press Enter.
Again it will take some time.
When finished, it will give you a report.

Go to the startup tab
If you see something concerning microsoft feeds syncronisation then uncheck the box next to it and press ok (this will pop up another box on startup warning you that your startup items were modified by msconfig but you just have to check "dont show me this again"...)

if not then go to the services tab and do the same

A:Microsoft Management Console has stopped working!

Check for data corruption.Run Disk Check with Automatically fix file system errors checked. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log.
For any drives that do not give the message:
Windows has checked the file system and found no problems
run disk check again as above. In other words, if it says:
Windows has made corrections to the file system
after running the disk check, run the disk check again.

Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.

I am trying to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 Student Edition and I continue to receive the following error:
Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has stopped Working.
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

Microsoft support informed me to try installing on a clean boot but the issue occurred. They provided me with a new download of Office 2007 and when attempting to install I continue to receive the error. I do not have any other versions of Office installed. This is very frustrating. I believe a lot of this began when I uninstalled "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition" from my Laptop due to not working properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really need to get Office installed so I can complete my college courses.

Thank You
