Hi,I'm totally dissatisfied with the outcome of my compensation claim. While reviewing the outcome, i could understand that the person who reviewed my case doesn't either study my case or doesn't even know why I'm claiming 600$ compensation. So i decided to explain my case to get you an overview what had happened and why I'm claiming for the compensation.Timeline30/06/2016 : Order was placed successfully for laptop model HP envy ae030tx with order number SCPO66872201/07/2016 : Payment cleared and was successful (AUD 1000.02) and offered 8 day delivery.<No communication from HP and was in need of laptop urgently for my work and studies>12/07/2016 : Order cancelled and informed through email. Replied email asking for explanation and expressing my urgency.15/07/2016 : Offered AUD 300 as a compensation by Sales person Sarath Raj by email explaining the unavailability of the product I ordered. Replied the email asking for either an alternative model HP Omen ax011tx or a compensation amount of AUD 699 to purchase the same model (HP envy ae030tx) from ebay HP authorised seller.<No reply or contact for that mail and I waited for 3 working days>19/07/2016 : I purchased the same model laptop from ebay HP authorised seller for amount (AUD 1649) since the stock availability from the ebay seller was going down and i was really in need of a laptop for my work and study.19/07/2016 : Replied to previous emails indicating that I was forced to buy the laptop because of those reasons and I requested the excess amount I spent to get the same laptop rounding from AUD 649 to AUD 600 attaching the tax invoice of the laptop purchase(Proof of purchase). I needed to spent this much amount only because of fault from HP side.<Didn't receive any reply for any email>20/07/2016 : Mailed again doesn't receive any reply.28/07/2016 : Mailed again asking for the solution. Doesn't receive any reply.<Emailed several times no reply>06/09/2016 : Mail from HP shopping support asking for bank account details for laptop cost refund (AUD 1000.02)07/09/2016 : Replied to that email explaining the scenario in detail including the compensation request and provided my contact details to discuss my case. I indicated that without compensation (600 AUD), I'm not willing to receive the laptop cost refund (1000.02 AUD).<No one from HP contacted me to discuss my problem and to resolve the case><I contacted HP online support several times explaining the scenario and each time different agents took the phone and they all said they will be following up and will be updating me><No one did sent me a single email to follow up or to update>19/09/2016 : Received the bank cheque of laptop cost only (1000.02 AUD) through post. No one confirmed the address or asked the permission to sent this much money though mail and as bank cheque. NB: Already indicated before that I'm not willing to receive the laptop cost only.<I contacted HP online support regarding this and complaining about the safety aspect that what if I moved from this address and someone else receive the cheque>19/09/2016 : Replied email explaining the same and complaining about mailing the bank cheque without confirming.<No one replied to the mail and no one contacted me back><I called HP online again couple of time to explain everything and each time they were providing fake information that next (day/Monday etc.) they are going to resolve this. Nothing happened and I kept on contacting every week>12/10/2016 : After many calls and efforts, my case was assigned to Eichen (7773320) and forward all the proofs and the emails to her to assess and get me the compensation.<contacted around five times to get the result>31/10/2016 : Today, the unjustified outcome and indicating that the case is closed.I hope this timeline would help you to get a clear idea why I'am claiming the compensation amount.Outcome Reply"Facts and information were provided to them and I regret to inform you that your claim for a compensation for AU$600.00 has been rejected as your original order placed last 30 June 2016 with HP Online Shopping Store Australia with order number SCPO668722 last 12 July 2016 and fully refunded last 6 September 2016. As you requested to have the order to be cancelled and fully refunded as you can no longer wait for the order to be delivered."1. I didn't ask anyone to cancel my order and I never said that I can't wait for getting the order delivered. In the 300 AUD compensation offer, it is clearly written that the order was cancelled because of the unavailability of the product I ordered.2. I always asked for compensation and refund together and not alone. I indicated before that I want both through money transfer to my bank account not though bank cheque. The bank cheque was sent to my mail address without informing or confirming address and what if I moved from this place or someone else receive the bank cheque. How much safety you are giving to the customer money.3. The order was cancelled on 12/07/2016 and I received the cheque on 19/09/2016. why does it took more than 2 months???"You were initially offered AU$300.00 compensation but you declined, now your claim to be compensated for AU$600.00 has been rejected. "1. 300 AUD is offered and approved already. I didn't decline this at any time. I'm asking AUD 300 more to cover the excess amount 600 AUD, I spent to buy the laptop because of your fault."It is not HP?s intent not to meet your expectations, I do understand that there are some delays in our responses and I sincerely apologize for it. Let me take your feedback to review our customer support operations. We hope to be of better service to you next time."1. It is not some delay, It took 4 months now and still the case is unresolved. I struggled a lot in between and still struggling. As you know, time is money, the laptop cost AUD 1000.02 was with HP for around 3 months and I was forced to spent another 1649 AUD to get the laptop because of your fault. This costed to so much inconvenience for my work and studies. I addition, the time and effort I put to contact HP though email and over telephone support should also be counted while taking the compensation decision.I hope the next person who is going to review my case will study my case before taking any decision. I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

used fraps very lightly over the past 4 years. just got the newest version and i am playing Modern Warfare 2. when you and use fraps to record there is lag but when your recording it affects the way you play too, it seems that your reactions are slower i.e. moving cursor to shoot and this really bugs me, i thought that i wouldn't get any of this lag with this rig but i guess not. Is there something i could do to compensate for this reaction lag stuff?

I just installed win2k and found the "hardware motion compensation" box greyed out in the asus dvd player (using detonator 6.31 drivers)

With winME it seemed to be there. I have reinstalled the dvd player. It is a toshiba sd-m1402 if that helps

Case manager promised compensation,(coupon) no response after follow up (email proof on file) In september of this year (yes, that long ago) HP caused my laptop to crash after a forced and continuous HP update warning. After update, my laptop would not reboot/start at all. I have since been in touch with the support department and was assigned a case manager. After several communications back and forth I was promised a $125 coupon to be used if I purchased a new product in the HP store. I accepted the coupon, but was not able to have it delivered to me until Nov 1st according to the case manager, for whatever reason. I have tried to contact the case manager since November 1, no reply. Since the crash of the laptop (which has my client files on it) I have not been able to operate my business in a normal matter. I have had loss of revenue of $15,000 since then and am now being shuffled around after calling the deparment. I have sent several emails to the case manager about the coupon since Nov 1 and even followed up with a voice message on Nov 9th, no reply. This is absolutely not acceptable. I have been a customer of HP for years, and this time I am at a loss due to the handling and response by the escalation department. I am using XP Home. For the last few months, anyone trying to log on after the initial user gets the following message:

SAS window:winlogon.exe unknown software exception (0x00000008) occurred in the application at location 0x7c964edl

Eventually, Windows will allow the user to log on, but it is quite annoying to have to attempt to log on several times. This only occurs while the first user is already logged on. The first user to log on never has any trouble. It only affects subsequent users.

Check the Application and System logs in Event Viewer for recent errors that might point to where this error is happening. To get to Event Viewer you can go to Start>Run, type EventVwr.msc or open Control Panel double-click Administrative Tools and click on Event Viewer. BTW, have you added any new hardware or drivers recently?

Recently, when trying to email their members (200 plus in blocks of 50), the members who have Hotmail Adress's emails are returned.

Who's treating it as Spam Orange or Hotmail?
All other Members emails get though fine.

When sending emails I receive a message "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message 451 4.7.1 <End of Message> data rejected:ip has temporarily exceeded the allowed mail recipient relay per day"
Is it a coincidence that the problem occurred in=mmediately after accepting a windows update?

I'm not sure if Windows Update played a part in this or not, but I would contact your email provider and ask them about the message you received. They should be able to help you better with this.

Yet another problem...

Ok, I have IE6, with SP1 installed. My Yahoo! is my homepage, and since I am the only one using the computer, I have Yahoo remember my name and password so I don't have to re-log-in everytime I open my browser window.

Up until yesterday, everything worked fine. Today, however, I turn on my computer, open IE to check my email, and I'm no longer logged into Yahoo; their default My Yahoo! screen came up as opposed to my personalized one. When I tried logging back in, I entered my username, my password, and then clicked the box indicating I wanted my username and password remembered, but then I get this message:

The browser you're using refuses to sign in. (cookies rejected)

And I am unable to log in. I kept trying, until I finally realize that I am able to log on as long as I do not click the remember name/password box.

Obviously, however, this becomes quite annoying when everytime you open up your browser window, you have to re-sign in.

I checked my internet settings, everythings seems fine. I haven't made any recent changes to my system...

Anyone have a clue if this is a Yahoo! issue, or if it's something on my PC?

BTW, running W2K on a Dell Dimension 4100.

Lately, when I forward email to some 12-15 recipients in a Group list, I get this message back:

"Mail Delivery Subsystem--Returned mail: User unknown"

Then, in the body of said message, it reads, as follows:

"[email protected]". This email address was not one of the address in my Group list and, in fact, I've never seen it before. I have no viruses, according to my most recent, and latest, checks. Also I'm regularly running several spyware detector programs including: Ad-aware, Spybot and Spy Sweeper.
 

A:Strange Email Rejection

Some people subscribe to an anti spam service that checks all incoming email. If the email service that you are using has also been used by spammers that service provider gets put on an automatic reject list. That recipient will automatically reject all email from anyone using that service. You would have to contact the particular individual that is using that service and ask them to contact the anti spam service and have them allow messages from you.

You could try sending a seperate test email to each individual on your list and see if it will go through that way. If you get a delivery failure message back you should be able to determine which recipient is using that service.

The X1 Yoga rejects touch as if it were a palm way too easily. When using the X1 in tablet mode, my thumb often is at an angle where the entire thumb is used to scroll through pages, however, the X1 sees this as a palm, rejecting the touch.  Heres a video detailing what I'm talking about. As a note, this does not happen at all on a Surface Pro 4, which actaully knows that I'm using a thumb not a palm. I mean how can the touchscreen mistake my thumb for how big a palm is? Not very happy as I use my X1 in tablet mode to browse the web quite often.

i have seen this a number of times because of a virus - the virus goes through your mail address book - but also all the temp internet files looking for email adresses.

however, recently I have seen this when the PC is completely clean - anyway

1) run a virus scan - if you have your own make sure its upto date with latest virus definitions,

if you have XP or ME turn off restore
you may want to run the scan in safe mode
in XP / ME you will need to switch off restore

Hi,My ideapad lenovo yoga 720(13 inches) had wifi problems and a "pen writing" dead zone when I used to write with my palm down. After talking with lenovo support, I ve decided to send it to repair.Days passed and I ve kept checking the repair board seeing messages as " looking for parts" then " repairing" and at the end "repair completed see notes" . But repair notes said " Verified orderly functioning. Taken functional tests for the device. "Now I am worried that they didn't repair my laptop. So I was asking myself "what did the message looking for parts meant"? Hope to hear somebody who had/ is in my same situation. Here's a video with the main problem. I received the PC. They didn't repair it because they marked it as "working unit". I am mad of this. Palm rejection is not working correctly or pheraps is the entire Display Digitizer. The funny thing is that I ve send it with a "tempered glass attached". I knew that if a repair centre has to deal with tempered glass "They will always peel it off" before starting to work on it. Hi, I recently purchased 2 Yoga 920s from Lenovo. On one of them I am having serious issues with palm rejection and none of the solutions I can find on the various forums seem to resolve my issue. When writing (e.g. in One Note) and resting my palm on the screen, the cursor keeps "jumping" between my palm and the tip of the pen. This leads to any of the following behaviors:- Not writing at all (e.g. Hello turns into H    l  o)- "writing" where my palm is located- doing some freaky stuff and just creating random lines in the area of my palm and pen  How could I resolve this issue?

I have a yoga 720 and a bamboo ink stylus for it. i had recently sent the unit in to get the hinges replaced as they were warped. I recieved the laptop back and did the latest windows 10 update, however now when i rest my palm on the screen to write it glitches causing what i write to not appear. This was not an issue before sending it in. I am wondering if this is possibly something caused by sending the laptop in or a software issue. It works fine when i write without placing my palm on the screen.

In a pop-up, Outlook 2002 DEMANDS a password from me every time I try to send or receive e-mail. The blind password (xxxxxx) appears in the box so I know Outlook already has it yet it forces me to re-type it. Sometimes many times. So annoying! Please help. Paula

As a new owner of the C930, I'm very much enjoying the experience.  Last night I started to play around with the Pen and doing some sketches and drawings using some built-in Windows 10 apps.  The experience was fine especially after I adjusted some Pen settings in Windows 10.  But one thing I noticed was there were some blemishes outside of my main drawing where possibly my palm was on the screen.  Small blemishes which I could "erase" but just wondering if others have the same issue and how you solved it. Thanks in advanceAmar

I've noticed that a portion of the screen of my yoga 720 won't respond to my wacom stylus while my palm is resting on the screen. I've tried the "ignore touch" option in windows settings with no avail. Anyone else have this issue? Is this something I can fix on my end?

I bought the Lenovo Flex 5 with digitizer and active stylus hoping I would be able to use it for drawing and painting as well as writing notes/ journaling as it's advertised to be capable of but I'm really disappointed. First of all, if my palm is resting on the screen the pen acts really glitchy. Only about 10% of what I write/draw is registered at all and half of that is really delayed. Additionally the action isn't very accurate, if I use a ruler to draw a line it tuns out jagged and bumpy and everything I write/ draw looks really sloppy. I've used a Microsoft Surface Pro 4  and an iPad Pro with the pencil and none of these things were an issue, the outcome was as accurate as pen and paper.  I've tested out several applications/ programs, some are better than others but none of them are good enough for me to really want to use. I replaced the the active stylus with a Wacom Bamboo Ink stylus, the rubber tip feels better to use but the results are still the same. I also went to a store and tested both of my pens on the two Flex 5s they had on display and it was all the same. Is this a software issue that can be improved through updates? Or is anyone having a positive experience drawing on a Flex 5? It is advertized to have palm rejection, accuracy and pressure sensativity, there is digitizer technology that succesfully achieves all of those things for a plesant writing/ drawing experience so why doesn't this?

Using Windows 7, Windows Live Mail.When forwarding emails, I get a lot of popups saying the pictures could not be found, do I want to send the message anyway. Is there anything that can be done about this

Maybe you need to adjust your security settings.

The below fix depends on what version of the software you have.

In LiveMail, clear the &#8220;Block images and other external content in HTML email&#8221; checkbox, by doing the following:
Open the software
Click on Tools
Click Options.
Switch to Security tab.
Clear the box that says &#8220;Block images and other external content in HTML email&#8221;
Click OK.

That process may not work, but it's worth a try (also, you may not have a "tools" option in your version)

I got my Yoga 260 around 10 days ago. I first updated my windows 10 to the new release (so I'm not sure if the problem was there from the begining). The pen is not working as it should be, the tip is not detected or detected by some offset (usually it goes into bottom of the screen besides taskbar). For example I start writing in onenote and suddenly instead of writing on the current line it is writing some wiggly things on the bottom of the page. This is not only happening in onenote or inking apps, even when I'm using the pen for selecting lines in a webpage, jumps happen.   Is this a pen problem? or display digitizer? Also I'm not sure if this is a driver problem or hardware problem. I tried to rollback to original installed windows 10 to test that, using factory resseting but I couldn't, windows keeps the upgrade. I checked the wacom driver it is recent 08/02/2016 even more recent than the one available on wacom's website (I tested both). I changed the pen and inking setting: made the handness to "right hand" and "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen" to on, but nothing helped. It is really frustrating, because I mainly bought this notebook because of its stylus. So anyone else had the same problem? Any fixes for that?  Thanks

I could really use your help! I use OneNote on my Yoga 14 (Type 20FY) to take notes in veterinary school and I've had an issue for the past year or so. While in tablet mode, if I'm using the stylus pen, it will take anywhere from 2 to 15 seconds after removing the pen from the screen to allow input with a finger. Sometimes it takes even longer than that and I have to either unfold the screen or write with the pen again to finally get it to toggle palm rejection off again. Even when everything is running perfectly, my classes cover so much material that I can't keep up, so this is really an issue for me.  This problem NEVER occurs when the computer is in laptop mode - the palm rejection toggling happens instantly every single time while in laptop mode. This makes me believe it might be a setting somewhere in the tablet mode code. Hi, I'm having problems with the palm rejection on my X1 Yoga. When using the TB3 port for video output to external monitors, the palm rejection gets twitchy when I have my palm on the screen and the supplied pen jumps all over the screen while drawing. The same exact thing happens with my Wacom Bamboo. When I stop using the TB3 port (either unplugging or set display to PC only), the insane jitter goes away and the palm rejection works normally. Also, if I use the pens with my hand lifted off the screen, there is no jitter. I tried the same thing on the HDMI connection and the palm rejection seems to be working fine. Any suggestions? I'm on Windows 10 Build 17134 & BIOS Firmware N25ET39W (1.25) and have all the latest updates installed through Lenovo Vantage. Thanks!

After upgrading to windows 10, palm rejection while using the stylus no longer works, causing there to be multiple glitchy inputs while the pen is active. It's set to right handed pen use and it's still messed up. The other thing is that crystal disk info says that there's no health setting for my SSD and most of it's stats are "unknown". Anyone know of any solutions to these issues?

I have a Win 7 Family pack Home Premium Upgrade edition. I bought it new and have had exclusive control of it. The 32 bit version is installed on two computers, self built, replacing XP. One of the computers had a HD crash. I first tried a system repair disc and installing a system image. When these did not work I tried to reinstall Win 7 on that HD, but Win 7 would not install on the HD and delivered a message that there was a HD problem. I installed a new SSD but no other equipment changes were made, other that disconnecting the other two HDs for purposes of the reinstall. Windows installed nicely from a flash drive, but is giving a message that the product key is incorrect.
I would appreciate insight on how to proceed. Thanks!

What's the full error message?

Double check to make sure that you are entering the product key correctly. It's real easy to mistake say a 0 (zero) for an O (letter) etc.....

If it's just failing to activate online, then you might see if it may activate by phone instead.

I just started to mess about with Android Studio on a laptop, flashed a Lineage on a x64 Atom tablet previously Windows. The USB config is absolutely stuck in "charge only" in Cyano, in Lineage 6 ,7, 13 , I tried them all. Tried all usb ports, tried about 5 different usb cables including chopping and making a male to male usb, toggled the debug mode ... No MTP mode whatsoever no notification neither in Win 10 neither on the droid, nothing in devmg no sound when plugging you just get "settings has stopped" as soon as you touch the mtp tick on the droid.
Ok , this must be one of them Linux-vs-others usb kernel issue , much deeper than the classic "change the cable" I know , charging usb cables have only 2 wires red-black whereas data usb has two more gren white , the data cable. So don't go giving light answer here ,please. Finally I said , screw this I need to understand basics before I go there.

Right now, I have a decent rig, but it uses integrated AGP-accelarated video (32MB DDR). I also have an unoccupied AGP slot, so I'm thinking of upgrading the video card. The GeForce4 MX is dirt cheap right now, and it has double the video memory as my current card. Still, I've heard criticism that the card is passe, and it will be obsolete very soon.

What else is out there in the sub-$100 price bracket? Thanks.

Hi,

I am wondering if i should post this or not?
But, my son's computer decided to take on a life of it's own and try to increase my electricity bill.
What happened was that i plugged it into the wall socket as usual, and then i got a big blue flash from around the plug, a bang from the computer main case itself, and a small puff of smoke from the top ventilation fan.

I have now got to take it to someone for an inspection, for insurance purposes.
To see if it can be either repaired or scrapped.
But, the place i asked about it today. Said that they are prepared to inspect the computer, and supply the report for the insurance company.
But, seeing as it's an Athlon 600 processor based system, and it has one of the smaller motherboards.
Is it worth accepting that it can be repaired, and continue using the system as it is.
Or should i go for a totally new computer?

Especially, as my son uses the computer for mainly gaming, and i am in two minds over this issue.
The bad part of me is saying, stuff it and get a better computer for him, but i am worried about what could happen to me about this issue?

I bought a lenevo ideapad 100 laptop, and its on waranty  period..  i was using the laptop ( it was charging too) and sunddenly it went off.  After that it won't boot. i went to shop from where i have bought, and said them to look that. they said due to high voltage motherboard is damaged. I contacted Asus support for warranty claims for a friend as his motherboard was faulty and was within the warranty period. But there was no response might be the email on which I contacted was wrong in a similar case Intel had given a very prompt response can some one tell me where can I get the contact info as the email given on their website was non responsive.
