The right hinge on my laptop is broken, and it is causing my laptop to turn off when it is moved.  I plan on ordering a new arm hinge to replace it.  When i try to open my laptop, or turn it into a tablet there is loud cracking and difficulty changing screen position, as if the entired screen is about to snap off.  If my laptop is on a flat surface, the entire screen is slanted down on the right due to the broken hinge. Is the 00HT617 hinge kit/part the one i need to replace it ?Has anyone else had this problem or fixed it ? Thanks,-BB

I am a very frustrated and angry customer at the moment as i keep running into Road Block and unacceptable answers.  This issue is enough to cause me to never buy another Lenovo laptop or any laptop at Best Buy!I bought my computer in July and in September i noticed a key had popped off-  the "< ," key next to the M key.  I have used the key board only when i was setting up-  now at my office and at customers i set it in downward dog mode ;-) and use a blue tooth key board.    So it is not from use that it broke.   I took the laptop into BEST BUY and was told that the key was missing a metal part on the back so they could not fix it onsite-  i would have to send it in and be without my laptop for a week to 10 days - unacceptable -  this was a month or more ago. I searched on the LENOVO website and could not find a way to purchase a single or the entire set of Keys!  I am self employed as a software consultant.   My life is pretty busy and i finally decided today to bite the bullet and ask for a call from Lenovo support.  Again i am told the only way to fix this is to send my laptop in for a repair.  I asked to just be able to buy a KEY - i am told that well they do not sell individual keys - they would replace the entire keyboard!  So sell me the keyboard and or send me one an i will take into best buy to have them replace it while i wait.  They cannot do that.   I live... Hey there YukiTsuki, I believe Windows often has Wacom drivers (The drivers used for this pen) preinstalled. Can you check you to see if you have "Wacom Pen" as a listen in your control panel (When in Large Icon view). Also are you 100% sure you have the 20DM000VUS model of the ThinkPad Yoga 14? Some Yoga 14 models do not have have pen support, if that is your correct model number then you should have it.

Video files will play fine, other than them being completely silent. Strangely, though, audio from YouTube videos and (some) installed video games will play. I then decided to update the audio drivers. I found the correct drivers for my machine and uninstalled the Realtek HD Audio device prior to the installation. It completed without any issues. Hello, One of our ThinkPad Yoga goes into an endless loop when attempting to reboot. The O/S was upgraded from Windows 8.x (as shipped) to Windows 10 (MS free upgrade) a long time ago and there have been no previous issues restarting. I believe the version of Windows is 10 Home Edition. The HDD is almost fully utilised (1 gig free). Irrespective of the options taken, on boot up the screen flickers what looks like a CMD window in the top left of the display twice very quickly, then after the Lenovo splash screen is displayed:Preparing automatic repairThen Diagnosing your PCAutomatic RepairYour PC did not start correctly Restart just continues in the loop irrespective when continue or repair is selected. I?ve taken Advanced options:Continue ? Hi All, Can someone please explain the various codes/sequences used in MTM information of Thinkapd Laptops ? As an example, for if MTM is 20FMA02QIG, then Machine Type is 20FM And what does the remaining part 'A02QIG' conveys ?What all useful information can we have ? Does it includes Country Code/Month of Manufacture etc... Basically, while searching for Compatible Parts for my T460 here: http://support.lenovo.com/in/en/partslookup , The 'Compatibility' section only list the FIRST Four letters of a particular system. Example below: ?    It seems  ALL models which start with 20FM and 20FN are compatible with this particular battery: 45N1773. Since the replacement of the mother board (within warranty term), the serial number and machine type model number are shown ?invalid? in BIOS or windows program like Lenovo Companion.Lenovo provide flashing BIOS utility from within Windows, and that tool don?t provide option to flash the serial number and machine type model number.The search within Lenovo support community didn?t provide any answer for this need.Is there any solution?Thank you!

Hi Lenovo, My X1 have Winsows 10 (x64) with all latest drivers and BIOS update and with Onelink dock helper app in system tray ver:1.10.16. My issue is, that whenever i attach an USB device (even on the laptop itself) the dock disconnets and reconnects. Meaning, the network  flaps and audio too. The external display however remains turned on and does not glitch. I have attached a PC/SC smartcard reader on the dock thru USB and happens the same thing when the smartcard is removed from the reader and reinserted.Attached is the picture of the system notification that pops up. I am not an owner of your machine, but as far as I can see there was never any BIOS updates released for your model.  Searches in the Lenovo File Library and in previous forum discussions showed no indication of an upgrade being made available.

Hello everyone, I have recently bought a secondhand Lenovo Thinkpad T440. I am not able to find any information on my specific model online. My model: 20B7S22809. There is no information at all. Hello, Since the latest windows 10 update, where they added the mini apps along with the xbox app, the device video playback started to act funny, both online and local played videos. The video plays regularly in the beginning but then starts to slow down even the mouse slows down with it and the audio, sort of unstability where playback goes to normal and then slows down agian. If HDMI is plugged, I get a notification from action center that the intel HD family graphics driver had to restart, and I get it many times. which is really funny if you have a 8GB RAM and i7 processor and a 265gb SSD macine. I downloaded the newest intel HD graphics drivers from their website through Intel Driver Update Utility but couldn't install it due to some sort of incompatibility. They also advise that I'd better download drivers through the device manufacturer. Hello, I am freaking out as I am typing this right now at 2 am as a couple of my key caps in the lower right hand corner just fell off the keyboard for no apparent reason. I tried putting them back on but the clips on the underside of the key caps seem to be broken. Is this covered under warranty? If so, will Lenovo send me a new keyboard or will I have to send the machine in? I really hope that Lenovo can send me one as I really need my machine and I am capable of replacing the keyboard on my own as I have serviced multiple ThinkPads in the past. Thanks in advance! Edit:I should mention that my warranty is good until January 12.

My headphone jack doesn't output to the right headphone when I plug it in all the way. If I ever so slightly pull out the headphone jack about an 1/8th of an inch to the next knob it will output to both left and right headphones but with a high pitched noise in the background. Should I submit my laptop for servicing? Is there a fix to this issue? I have tried multiple headphones (which I have tested on other devices, that work fine on them) and this issue still persists.

However, I had the following issue when replacing the keyboard. The instructions say to be in tablet mode when sliding the keyboard back into position. Would this not mean that the keys should be in the recessed position when putting the keyboard back in? That way, when you swing the lid back to normal laptop use, the keys will move become "unrecessed" again. Without this, after I replace the keyboard, I find that the lid cannot be closed any longer. In other words the sequence I am experiencing is this:To remove keyboard, move laptop into tablet position. Keys get recessed. I remove the keyboard.I put the new keyboard in. Keys are not recessed at this stage. New keyboard goes in - can't close lid any longer. Any tricks to this that I am missing?

HI I need a simple estimate of how long my  laptop's screen will last before I need to get it fixed. I cracked the LCD in the screen today, and it looks like there is nothing wrong with it at all unless one looks really closely, or if one looks at the screen from certain angles. I can see the point where the pressure was placed on the screen when i look directly at it, but it isn't too bad. I have to travel tomorrow to Haiti (talk about bad timing) and I need the laptop to work for the three weeks that I will be there. If it can last that long I will be very happy. I've had the X1 Carbon ThinkPad for around 9-10 months, and after about 4 or 5 months I began experiencing issues regarding the USB ports. I use this laptop for gaming as well as school work. The issues began very intermittently, with both USB ports failing (I use a microphone/headset, and a mouse), by seemingly turning off for 1-2 seconds, followed by them turning back on. 90% of the time the USB ports turned back on, but lately there are times where they do not, and I need to restart my computer to be able to use them again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Drivers for my mouse and headset, as well as the USB drivers under Device Manager. Additionally, I adjusted my power settings to disable USB selective suspend settings, but that did not fix the issue either. By this point, the USB ports will both fail essentially as soon as I begin playing a video game, and at times when I have several tabs open using Google Chrome. Any advice on how to fix this issue?

Dears, I would like to upgrade my current 256GB SSD of my Thinkpad Yoga 260 Model 20FES04T37 with 512GB SSD. I have found the below partnumber in Lenovo store which says that is compatible with Thinkpad, but I see that a special factor (M.2) is required for Yoga 260 which is not listed in the description of this part number: 4XB0L67026 ThinkPad 512 GB SATA 2.5" SSD Can anybody confirm this will be compatible with my Yoga so that I proceed with the upgrade with this SSD?

I just purchased this laptop, I like it alot.   Using the HDMI port and the mini-display port, can I have 3 displays?   The internal touch screen, and then also the moniitor on the HDMI port AND a different monitor on the mini-display port.   That would be 3 displays. I'm just getting into Microsoft Flight Simulator and it will support 3 videos and I want to have all 3 running to get the most from the application. I want to be sure that it isn't either/or on the HDMI and Mini-Display Port, but that I can use both/and. Thanks in advance. Paul

I reset my pc - windows 10 to fix a different issue and on reboot, i see lenovo splash screen, but windows is only visible on external monitor.  I found a batch file fix, but that appears to be related to OLED screens - i don't think i have one.  My problem to start with was minor - every time i unpin Edge and Store, they return... tried registry and appdata location deletes - no success. I know it is a profile issue, tried deleting profile, but work has us login to Azure AD, and that screwed that up - had to reset to start  the process over. Ever since - the laptop screen only shows the lenovo boot splash.

The intel driver sees 2 monitors. The windows utilty seems to just see one shows 1|2 on the external when i identify. The Lenovo screen says 11/17/2015 for driver date v. 6.2.0.0 -  Checking for drivers windows upgraded to 6.4.0.0 dated 3/16/17, but no change.

Hi all, on June 2017 (around 3 months and half ago) I bought a Lenovo Yoga 510-14AST Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80S9 - Model 80S9000MIX.I immediately saw a huge slowness but I didn't have a good chance to deep dive the issue.In the last couple of weeks I investigated and found that when launching any of the installed applications (even just the browsers MS Edge or Chrome) the CPU and Hard Disk reach immediately 100% of occupation from Task Manager.I asked to the Lenovo Support guys and they suggested me to try One Key Recovery.I did it and unfortunately it didn't solve.Now the Laptop is reset with factory defaults but even just launching "Lenovo Companion" app cause cpu and hd to move quickly to 100%.The laptop is completely unusable and I'm quite disappointed because the performances are so poor like a Netbook with Intel Atom cpu.I contacted again Lenovo and they told me to send it for technical assistance.I will do it but I would ask if someone that has bought the same model experienced the same.My idea is to ask a replacement with another Lenovo model more performant (paying the difference if needed).Do you think it would a reasonable request?Thanks a lot for al your collaborationBest regardsFabio

Hi,I received my new ThinkPad X1 Yoga 20FQ one month ago. I'm very happy with it but for one week I'm very often unable to type the power-on password. When I turn on my X1 Yoga (3 times out of 4), the keyboard seems to be not working and I'm stuck at the padlock password prompt. I must insert a paperclip into the reset hole and restart to be able to get the keyboard working and be able to enter the password.  I'm wondering if anyone else have any similar issue and if so, if there is a simple way to fix it? or if I should return the X1 Yoga?  Thanks for your help,Steven

Hi, I recently bought a Yoga 500-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Machine Type 80R5 and have used it extremely rarely. I would say I've used it at a maximum of 30-40 hours. I have had some problems with the laptop but nothing that made it completely un-usable until now. On turning on the machine, the network wireless adapter acts strangely, often showing the airplane mode symbol in the task bar. I may or may not be able to connect to my Wifi network but less than 2 minutes later the entire Wifi adapter disappears from the OS, no longer having Wifi settings or being able to configure the Adapter via device manager. I've been told a fix for this may be turning the wireless off and on again via the BIOS but I can't figure out how I access it, considering the first screen I see is the loading symbol for Windows 10. Anyone got any advice? Harrison

I bought the Yoga 720 13IKB Type 81C3 - Model 81C3005LPG - last week to use it for photo edit and I noticied that the screen have strong yellowish tint.I tried to find a calibrated ICM (or ICC) color profile on the vga_drivers folder but could not find it.Also tried to use the windows 10 color calibration tool with no satisaftory results. I'm really disapointed and before start to tell the world on photo forums that this laptop is not suited to photo edit because of this super strong yellowish tint screen I decided to ask here if any members of the comunity or the Lenovo support team have any ICM color profile file that minimizes it.Note that this model have the BOE06FA panel and not the LG (like some USA models I believe).Thanks in advanceHugo Veríssimo

Curious -- Lenovo support told me that my machine cannot be upgraded to windows 10, and I am stuck on Windows 8.1 forever. Had anyone upgraded a Lenovo Yoga 14 ThinkPad 14  (Type 20DM, 20DN) to Windows 10 Successfully? If so, I'm interested in hearing what you did to get the touchpad, keyboard and rotation working simultaneously. Thanks!

Hello,i've purchased a 4X10H04506 tablet dock for my Helix 2 20CG. Charging and HDMI on the docks works well, while none of the three usb 3.0 ports seems to work properly: no devices detected at all, and the led on my sandisk memory pen do not light, like there is no power on the usb ports, or are turned off.Don't know what to try: do I have to ask a refund for the dock, or maybe there is something I can check or should try?thank you for any help.PM
