Wifi keeps disconnecting (because of iPad?)

Q: Wifi keeps disconnecting (because of iPad?)

Hello,
Okay so our wifi was always working perfectly fine, but then recently, I bought an iPad Pro 10.5 and now it is constantly disconnecting. At first it was only on the iPad that it wasn't working and I tried to let it forget the network, I reset the network settings, I reset the router, I turned the iPad on and off. And now it is pretty consistently working for about 10 mins until the wifi throws all of the devices out and if you want to reconnect it says "unable to join the network" until you turn the router on and off or maybe try the next day. It also sometimes says that the password is wrong even though I definitely put in the right one until you reset again, but recently it always says its unable to connect. Then it all starts from the beginning. 10 mins and then stops. Now I am really wondering if it is possible that the iPad is the reason this is happening although the wifi stops working for all devices. By the way I have an iPhone 4s which always worked fine. If possible, please try to explain something relatively simple I'm no expert whatsoever when it comes to technical stuff. Thanks in advance

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have an old iPad Touch 4 running IOS 6 (latest supported) and a new iPad Mini 2 running IOS 10. I'm trying to configure the new iPad Mini on my PC before giving the iPad Mini to someone else when it will need to be synced with a different PC.

I want to install a new set of apps on the new iPad Mini which I can do directly on the iPad and transfer all the songs and photos from the iPod Touch to the new iPad Mini. I then want to start syncing the new iPad Mini with another PC since the iPad Mini is a gift for someone else.

I'm scratching my head how to do this. I can't backup and restore the iPads due to the difference in IOS versions. Then there is the problem of syncing the new iPad Mini on another PC. It seems I might lose all data on the iPad Mini the first time I try syncing it with a new PC.

Hi, a friend gifted me a Ralink RT2070 802.11 b/g Wireless USB Adapter so that I can get WiFi connection on my 3DS without needing a wireless router or anything. I figured out how to get it to connect to the 3DS effortlessly but I can't seem to figure out how to configure or set it up so that I can get WiFi connection on my iPad. When I plug in the Adapter and turn on the connection it shows up on the iPad WiFi connections list and accepts the connection but when I tried opening the app store ait said I wasn't connected to the internet. Can always step me through the process to configure/set-up to get it to connect on both 3DS and iPad ? Thanxs.

On Friday May 9 this iPad was connected to the home wifi for months without issue.
As of Saturday May 10, the iPad will not connect to the home wifi. Nothing had changed on teh iPad or the wifi sytem overnight.
The iPad will connect to a neighbors wifi.
On the home wifi I have 2 PCs, 1 printer, and 2 iPhones connected, but not the iPad.
Last night I tried using a static IP address on the iPad to connect. My router admin page shows the iPad in the wireless client list, even though iPad was not connected. Maybe I did not do this step correctly. I entered a static IP address into the iPad network configuration.
I've reset the network, and reset the entire iPad, turned it off and back on, and nothing works to connect.
I've changed the channel on the wifi admin page using 1, 6, 11 and Auto options. no luck.
Could someone help with establishing a static configuration that I've tried and failed with?
Any other solutions? I've tried everything people have suggested in this thread already.
Susans-iPad192.168.0.100E8:06:88:99:16:FBSusans-iPadFE80::EA06:88FF:FE99:16FBE8:06:88:99:16:FB

I just created a static IP for the iPad the above are the two entries in the Wireless Client list. The problem is that the iPad is still not connected to the wifi. And after the iPad went to sleep, and I refreshed the client list, the same two entries remain, but the Static IP addrress on iPad is now blank.

A:iPad Wifi Connectivity Problem

Fooling around with a static IP will probably just make your problem more difficult to solve. You said that it will connect to another network, right? Wasn't that with a dynamic IP? If so, that shows that your problem is not the iPad failing to use a dynamic IP configuration correctly.

What usually works with Windows, and may work with the iPad, in this situation is to disable encryption on the router and connect. Assuming the connection is successful then re-enable encryption and reconnect.

My laptop has a great wifi connection with my neighbors wifi (with permission). The connection is via a high gain, usb flat panel directional antennae and it works great. I would like to access this connection on my iPad. Is there a way to connect a wireless router to my laptop to provide iPad access to this connection?

Many thanks.

I am running a desktop which is running normally with nil defects evident .

A few days ago my Samsung Galaxy Tab SM-T350 IPad would not connect to my desktop wifi which it had been doing normally since purchased last year.

I took it to Samsung for a check-over and all was normal. They suggested doing a Network reset which I did with no change.

I have tried the pad at two different locations and the connection to the net is normal, which seems to indicate the desktop wifi has a setting problem.

Could anyone suggest a procedure to check out the desktop wifi settings.

Assistance appreciated.

Hey everyone

I'm desperately trying to connect my iPhone and iPad to the wifi at work. I'm allowed to do this (as is everyone), although I appear to be having issues with both. I select the wifi network, enter the password and I just have a small spinning circle right beside the name of the wifi network, as if it's trying to connect but nothing happens.

The weirdest thing is that my iPhone was connected to the network about two weeks ago, but I restored my phone since then and now it's having issues. Actually, it was having issues before I restored the phone. The iPad is brand new as well and it has the same problem. Is it an issue with the OS update?

I can connect to my home wifi just fine, though, which makes me think that it's an issue with the router. The strange part about it is that all of the laptops here can connect to the wifi.

Wifi suddenly stopped working, works with Ethernet cable, works with iPad and iPhone, but not with Sony Vaio laptop wifi.

Have spent hours on the phone with Internet Service Provider, who went through all settings and checked everything (checked CMD prompts and changed SSID, created new channels, etc).

I'm using Windows 7 and have McAfee. What could have caused this to suddenly stop working? How do I get it to work again? I have checked my wifi is still on, it still connects to the wireless modem router (D-Link), and at start up has a yellow triangle with exclamation mark inside, then that disappears and says internet is connected (on internet bars icon) but no browsing is possible at all with any of my browsers (chrome, Firefox, explorer).

Have disabled McAfee firewall, have restarted in safe mode, but nothing is helping.

Have tried on different wifi connections, with same problem. I restored to the last date I could use wifi and it didn't change anything.... Help please!

Okay, so I'm trying to get my son's DS to connect to the internet so that he can trade pokemon. I'm on Win XP, my usb wifi device is this Mayflash thing, and I have heard that other people have had issues with it (the driver download doesn't help). However, I did get mine to connect, someone on another forum linked to this article to report their success connecting their DS with it.

However, when I try to connect the DS to the network it disconnects. It's always about a minute into the connection, everything is going well and says it has excellent signal strength, then crash, all gone. When I look at the network properties and click okay (with no changes), it reconnects.

Does that sound like firewall? I looked in my firewall properties and clicked to be notified if the firewall blocks something, but I'm not receiving notification. I'm new to wifi, this is the only device I have with it so I can't test with anything else.

ETA - Nope, tried disabling firewall completely and it still disconnected. Re-enabling firewall reconnected the wifi without my prompting.

ETA - Again: this time my dork butt actually looked at the error code. 52000. Anyone know what this guy is talking about?

A:USB WiFi - disconnecting?

Maybe your Mayflash thing is defective.

I used to use a usb wi-fi it was always disconecting after every few mins.
I got someone to check it out, he said it was defective and replaced it with a

Hi,  For several months my laptop has continued to randomly disconnect from the wifi at least once a day, some days even a dozen times. I'm a very tolerant, patient person so I thought the issue might eventually resolve itself but it didn't. It's not a problem with the wifi, it's pretty top-notch and other devices in the house don't have any issues continuing to connect to the wifi. When it does this, it can't seem to find any network connections whatsoever even though there are two others in my house's vicinity as well that I can locate when the laptop is working with the wifi. Usually when the disconnect happens, I'm forced to close all my work and restart the machine - sometimes several times before it actually works - and I have to reboot everything I was working on. As someone who does a lot of online design work, this is incredibly frustrating as so much of my work has gone unsaved. If someone could help with this problem that would be fantastic. I've been considering buying another laptop because I'm so frustrated with what's happening with this one. Thank you,Mari

I do not have any such issue with my Windows 7 laptop or mobile devices.

I have already tried all the suggestions found elsewhere about changing the power management settings, and have already disabled "allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

I get to upload large files on Google Drive but there's just too many of the files and they are a bit large i.e. 4 Gb. Something - not sure if this is the browser or Google Drive itself keeps returning an error message reading 'Upload paused (offline), and, my WiFi, which is controlled by the operating system and the internet service provider along the way loses its connectivity.

I start worrying whether my neighbors are using the same frequency, and, after trying to restart the connection by signing out and signing in again the same thing happens all over. Usually when this happens I assume network traffic is not going to make my life easy for me to upload files over WiFi.

Does the architecture envisage software and other underlying solutions for these little problems?

A:The WiFi keeps disconnecting...

You can use a WiFi scanner (freeware) to check channel use and perhaps change channels on your router.

E.g. Acrylic Wi-fi, Xirrus Wifi Inspector

Also check your Wifi is not connecting to outside routers (see Wifi Sense in Settings).

So I took the plunge and updated to Windows 10 from 8.1. I did the FULL install, wiped my hard drive completely before installing Windows 10.

Everything is great, I really do like it.

But the WiFi keeps dropping and its extraordinarily aggravating.

I searched all over the internet with no solution in sight.

When this happens, I try to keep re-connecting it and it connects but then after awhile, it will just stop trying and I get the "System Broker has stopped working" as well as the "Network UX Broker has stopped working" error message.

Has anyone found a solution? I tried installing the WiFi drivers again and again but still nothing helping. I really think its a Windows issue that needs to be addressed via an update. I do have the latest updates installed as well.

The machine in question is a Lenovo Z710 IdeaPad with the Intel Wireless AC 7260 NIC.

To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions: What is the Product and Model Number of your notebook computer? What version of Windows do you have installed on your computer?Has your computer completed all of its important Windows Updates?Have you updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant? Is this an on-going, or recent issue? Is your mouse a USB wireless or is it Bluetooth? Is your notebook paired with any other Bluetooth devices (if your mouse is Bluetooth)? In the meantime, I recommend following this document on Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting. This should help with the wireless connection between your computer and the mouse. Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!Regards

Using Win10 my Sony Vaio laptop connects ok to my BT wireless router but after a short while I lose the Internet connection. This happens because Win10 decides to switch to another wireless network which is secured and I do not have the password. When I disconnect this other network, reconnect back to mine, tick connect automatically I get Internet connection again only to lose it for the same reason a few minutes later. I guess it is WiFi Sense doing this but if so it should be renamed WiFi NonSense. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug ?
Thanks for any input.

lol

Don't know if you have tried this, but this is my suggestion:

Settings >Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage Wi-Fi Settings
Go to the settings under the Wi-Fi Sense heading
Turn off "Connect to suggested open hotspots"
and/or
Turn off "Connect to networks shared by my friends"

I am using a lenovo yoga 14. When I connect to my wifi network at home the internet often randomly turns off. It doesn't only disconnect my laptop, it kicks all of the other devices off the network as well. I have no viruses and the laptop seemed to be doing this from when I originally got it. I updated my drivers for the wifi and have tried various other fixes but nothing seems to work. Says network unavailable and when I click to view the avail networks, it has the USR which is my router, and MS home. Could this MShome be what is messing it up? What is it anyways?

A:Laptop WIFI always disconnecting

MSHome is your 'workgroup'. Different computers can identify themselves as members of different workgroups, so that you could do something like having different departments in different workgroups 'folders', rather than every computer being in one massive group.

Hi Guys,

I have just recently bought a Windows 8 Laptop from my mates computer shop. It seemed fine for a while and then its suddenly started dropping out on wireless internet connection.

It does load back up onto the wireless connection but not for long.

My mate said it could have been the router in the house but others have said otherwise.

Any recommendations?

Cheers.

Make sure any power saving and/or sleep functions for the adapter are turned off in Device Manager and also in Advanced Power settings.

@Usman313? Go to Device Manager. Open up Network Adapters. Right click on your WiFi adapter and click on Uninstall. If asked to remove the driver say "YES" Reboot and let Windows reinstall the driver. REO

My wifi keeps on disconnetcing from the network randomly.Sometimes it works fine for 10 minutes -1 hour and then the wifi signal changes to limited internet sign and then finally disconnects. This issue started when i updated my laptop to windows 10,but it was working fine before that. After constant searching on google i found lots of fixes by unsintalling the driver, updating the driver and changing power setting. But they didn't work.I thought the problem was due windows 10 so i went back to windows 8,but it still didn't work.So as a result i finally factory reset my computer. But the issue still continues.I am not sure about this but my friend had the same issue.I inserted his flash drive into his my comuter and my laptop started having the same problem. So i am not sure what caused the issue Upgrading to windows 10 or connecting a pen drive. My network adapter is Ralink RT5390 802.11bgn

So my  hp pavilion dv7-6c60us on windows 7 has been having wifi issues for a few months now.  My wifi card is an intel centrino N 1030.  These past few days it has gotten really bad.  It disconnects every few minutes.  The only thing I can think it being is my wifi card is going bad.  Is that possible?  I did all of the reloads of drivers and winsock flush etc.  It's not my antivirus software as i removed it and i still did the same thing.  I did virus and malware checks and everything is clean.  No system changes were made when it started happening.  All other devices in my home have no problem connecting to my router which is a sbg6580 and staying connected.  Just this laptop.  The stupid exclamation point keeps coming up and connection goes.  Please help me figure this out!!!!
