I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Q: wacom

After spending quite decent money for an HP x360 4103dx (i7, 256 SSD, 8Gb RAM) few months ago, I am finding myself incrediby disappointed by the lack of professional grade stylus available under the synaptics umbrella. Surface pro 3 pen is a way more decent than the cracky active pen from HP which is only working for taking notes (with the risk of cracking the screen given how hard I need to push to see my trait).Do you think to implement somehow some software solution to make the new Wacom AES compatible with this laptop?

I am considering purchasing a Wacom Intuos5.

If any Forum Members have experience of this product I would be grateful for your comments. In particular....

1. Quality of the product
2. Ease of use
3. Bundled software
4. Support from Wacom

Is the Wacom Intuos5 the best product? I am prepared to pay more if there is something better than the Intuos5.

The real cost is not the actual money it is the time and effort needed to learn the full capabilities of a new product, in terms of both the hardware and the software. I don't want to invest a lot of time and effort in a product only to find in a few months time that it is not up to the job and I need to start all over again with a different product.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I've abandoned the Wacom forums as they simply have nothing to offer to the many 100's of people suffering this problem

The latest (win 8) driver will not load for the wacom Intuos 5 tablet. I've cleaned every possible trace of prior installations / old drivers etc, yet having received the message that the latest driver has loaded successfully when entering the preferences mode it reports that the tablet driver cannot be found

Can anybody with a wacom help?

A:Wacom Intuos 5

I've had no trouble with the Win8 drivers for a Bamboo Create.

It may have helped that I never had any other drivers installed for it.

I doubt that you're prepared to do a clean Windows 8 re-install to fix the problem. I can't promise that it would work.

I've got a Thinkpad p51 with the built in pen screen. I'm not sure when it happened but I just noticed that my Lenovo Pen doesn't seem to work as expected in a few programs- namely zbrush.I have ZERO pressure sensitivty which for a sculpting app makes it close to useless. Photoshop still works fine but Zbrush (4R8) works with limited functionality (no pressure). I have my old Intuos pad and that works fine, but the whole point of paying for the upgraded screen was to not have to carry around anything extra! Trying to install the latest wacom feel driver results in "a supported tablet was not found on the system"(using ISD_DualTouch_7.3.4-47.exe) I suspect that this is the issue- anyone had any luck installing a wacom driver for their lenovo screen?

I can't seem to get the drivers for the Bamboo to stay put in XP Pro. The drivers are listed in the device manager, but XP seems to have decided that it knows better and uses MS fro 2001! Wacom will flash an error and tell me to reboot. This happens every time I shut the computer off. I can sometimes get the tablet to work by switching USB ports and It doesn't seem to be port specific. Sometimes it will work in a different one each time.
I installed w/o plugging the tablet in first - I uninstalled and tried installing with the tablet plugged in, DL new driver from Wacom.
The only Wacom that shows up in the Device manager is WACOM mouse. The tablet is listed under HID device. I don't get tablet.EXE at startup either.
If I tell XP the drivers are on the Wacom CD, XP just says there is no information about my device on the CD. I bought 2 tablets - the one hooked up to my other pc is working just fine in 2K. but I haven't checked the XP home drive yet as I haven't needed Photoshop.
It's not an AV problem as there is none on the problem PC. It is only used to run embroidery software and doesn't go online except for a flash upgrade once in a while. Any designs I have downloaded come thru the main PC which does have all the protection.
I wouldn't have noticed the problem but for the fact that the pen is configured wrong. I want the apps on the switch reversed and can't.

I just recently (about two or three days ago) got a Wacom Bamboo Connect. It worked perfectly the first day I got it, but when I turned off my computer for the night and turned it back on that morning, I could only move my cursor around the upper-left hand corner of my screen. I looked at my pen properties and made sure that all the settings were on full, and they were, but it still didn't help.

I think it MAY have something to do with the fact that whenever I reinstall the driver it says that Bamboo Dock could not be installed, however when I turned my computer on I had Dock on it.

It may also be of assistance to know that I kept getting disconnected from LightIRC until I uninstalled my tablet again.

I posted this question at the Wacom Forum but got no response (so far).
Thought I'd try it here.

I'm using Intuos 2-6X8 w/ Photoshop CS2 (Win XP Pro.)

I set my brush cursor display to 'Normal Brush Tip.' (Photoshop Preferences).

When I use the mouse the brush stroke is normal (the cursor and stroke are the same size.)
When I use the pen the brush stroke is smaller and and doesn't match the cursor. (it's centered and doesn't fill the cursor.)

Consequently, when I paint with the pen I have to guess where the edge of my brush is and I get a smaller stroke.

I reinstalled and updated the Driver but nothing helped.

Hope there is a remedy (setting?) because I prefer the 'Normal Brush Tip' setting.

Thank You,

A:Solved: wacom tablet

You're probably not pressing hard enough, or your pressure sensitivity setting (in the WACOM control panel) is too low. If you don't want pressure to affect your stroke weight, turn off shape dynamics in Photoshop's advanced brush settings panel.

Hey, I got a WACOM tablet (inutos3) but i cant efficiently write norwegian text thru the tablet.

Just gonna post the windows help information here:

Change the language you use in Tablet PC Input Panel

To use handwriting recognition for a language other than your display language or English, you'll need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. (The handwriting recognizers for English and your display language?if available?are included in Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional.)

If you upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, you can download a language pack for the language that you want to add. See "Which languages are handwriting recognizers available for?" later in this topic for a list of available handwriting recognizers.

For information on how to upgrade to a different edition of Windows 7, see Upgrade to another edition of Windows 7 by using Windows Anytime Upgrade.

To learn how to download a language pack after upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate, open Windows Help and Support in Windows 7 Ultimate, and then search for "Download a language pack to get handwriting recognition for another language."

After you download the language pack and add the new input language, use the language bar on Input Panel or on the Windows* taskbar to switch between input languages.

Basically though, anytime upgrade doesnt seem to be working for Norway and buying a completely new windows 7 ultimate is a bit out... Read more

A:Writing with WACOM tablet

What version of Vista do you have now?

Reading that info it appears that if you have your display language set to Norwegian on the Home Premium or Professional versions (of 7, maybe Vista aswell) it will work.

or is it a Kaspersky issue? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum!

My Wacom Intuos 2 tablet works fine, unless I try and use it with Kaspersky antivirus. The pen will not control the cursor within a Kaspersky box! I can move the cursor anywhere I like on the screen but as soon as it gets to the edge of a Kaspersky box - be it a pop-up one or the main control screen, it refuses to cross the line. It's almost as if there was a solid fence round the box! Weird.

I should probably send this to Kaspersky and Wacom but I wonder if anyone else has hit this issue?

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 7, I have been having problems with my Intuos 4 graphics tablet. It seems as though the drivers are "uninstalling" themselves, because every time I start up, I have to re-install the driver (I don't have to uninstall the original).
Recently, the problems have gotten worse. Now, even after installing the drivers (again), I'll get no input from the tablet.

Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know the solution?

Are you using the correct driver? is it a win 7 driver? do you have a backup from before the problem to restore from? do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

Alright, so I recently bought a Wacom Tablet off ebay, slightly used but hasn't been touched in the last three years or so. I just got it yesterday (shipped from australia), and it doesn't work. I installed the correct driver for it off wacom.com, I installed the painter program that came with it (though I'm sure that has nothing to do with the problem), I plugged the thing into my computer, I have all the parts, but when I click on "Wacom Properties" in my control panel, a box pops up saying "A supported tablet was not found on the system." and only one option, and that's to press "Ok" and move on. Now, the only thing that I'm scratching my head about is the AC Adapter that came with it. The prongs (?) are set up different from what would normally fit into the sockets in my house. I'm guessing they're different because it came from Australia, but then I don't know where to even plug the OTHER end of it into. There's nowhere it'd fit on the actual tablet, and I don't know if it's supposed to plug into my computer or what.

Anyways, if anyone could help with this problem, I'd be eternally grateful. Also, I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem similar to this?

Thanks. Oh, and I hope I posted this in the right folder... I didn't really know where to go, lol

I have a Wacom Graphire 2 tablet that is for USB connection, but all I have is a ps2 to usb adapter. Is it possible to install the tablet with such a connection? I have tried using their regular installation program, but it won't allow me to install the drivers because it doesn't detect a usb port. I have also tried doing it through add/remove hardware, but it isn't being detected as such automatically. I am using win ME.

The easiest solution would be to buy a USB PCI card which would give you 2 or 4 USB ports. These can be bought at nearly every computer store.

Wacom Intuos and Windows 7
Having taken the plunge and bought a new whizzy Windows 7 computer I am having real problems getting it to recognise my Wacom Intuos tablet.
The tablet is old but works perfectly well and I really don?t want to buy another one if I can help it.

So far I have done all sorts to get the serial port to connect to a USB such that the tablet appears as a device as per attachment.

However, no matter how many times I install the driver from Wacom, the computer continually tells me that the driver cannot be found. I have tried reviewing the security settings of the folder the tablet is installed to, reverting back to windows Vista drivers etc. all to no avail.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I also have an old scanner with a USB connection that no driver is available for Windows 7 for - are there any work arounds that I might use that might get this to connect to Windows 7?

Wacom has not been helpful at all (they haven't answered in two+ months), and I'm not sure where else to turn...

I've been having this problem with my graphire3 tablet. When I draw in mouse mode in every program that is not Photoshop, it draws several inches away from where I was actually trying to draw.

In Photoshop, however, it works properly. Pen mode works properly as well, in every program.

I have tried every available driver on Wacom's website, with the same result. All have been clean installs.

I don't know what to do. I guess the easy answer is "use pen mode", but I just can't get used to it.

(My OS is Windows 7 Professional)

I should also add that the tablet works 100% perfectly on my husband's computer. We have done the exact same things to install it.

Hi there,

The LED is orange and turns green when the pen touches it, and the tablet works perfectly fine with on a laptop, but doesn't always function on our Windows XP. I've re-installed all of the drivers, restarted, unplugged, even bought and tried a USB converter, and nothing. It only works sometimes, at (what seems) random. When it does work, it's flawless, but at the moment the computer doesn't even recognize it- in the Control Panel under Wacom Tablet Properties, the error message 'A supported tablet not found on the system' is all I get. So I was on http://www.newegg.com today and I was looking into buying a tablet PC for myself.

I looked at HP, Fujitsu, and Lenovo (Formerly IBM).
I remembered seeing that the new Lenovo tablet PCs have wacom based pens and tablet features. I was pleasantly suprised because as everyone knows, Wacom is renound for all tablet like things for artists or anyone else who wants a pen-top interface.

But on newegg it doesn't specify which Lenovo computers have the wacom based tablets...

My question, is are all the ThinkPad X Series X61t ones wacom based? Or only some of them? I was wondering if anyone knew. (Newegg and other places won't seem to tell me...)
(I was looking specifically at the ThinkPad X Series X61t (776796U) model, as it has a higher resolution screen.)

I need to pick some brians and need some help. I bought a Wacom Intuos tablet from a lady used. She did not ship the power supply. And it is a serial connection, so we all know it needs one. But what I would like to know is can I put a usb/serial converter on it and not have to have the power supply. This I am not sure of. I do have the converter. The power supply is $25 a little pricey if you ask me. But no one asked.

I am a product designer and I'm looking to get a graphics tablet in order to improve my skills set and my portfolio. I've pretty much settled on wacom but finances are a bit tight. I've read very good things about the Intuos (2 and 3) but new ones are a bit out of my price range at the moment.

How do the Graphire tablets compare to the Intuos, would i be waisting my time going the Graphire route. Intuos are currently going 2nd hand on eBay for around £80-£100 for a5 size and i can get a new Graphire for about the same price, maybe cheaper.

I mainly need it for digital sketch renderings in Alias StudioTools and PhotoShop.

Any advice?

So, I'm trying to figure out which Wacom pens I can use with the 1st Gen Helix. The included one is exhausting to hold over longer note taking periods and doesn't come with an eraser (for now I configure the button to work as an eraser via the Wacom Feel driver). What I learned so far is that Wacom penabled pens like the Wacom PL-900 should work. What I'm particulary interested in is whether the different nibs make a difference in gliding resistance as well. The included pen is much softer than I'd like. There's also a compatibility list for the Bamboo Feel pens http://bamboostylus.wacom.com/compatibility/It doesn't explicitly mention the Helix but the Thinkpad Tablet 2. Which I believe is powered by the same technology. The Bamboo pens would be interesting since they're relatively cheap to get.  Did anyone try to replace the pen with something more serious? Which pens did work? And does changing the nibs make any difference? Thank you.

My brand new Yoga X1 2nd gen has a faulty pen/stylus. When I tried to use it first did not react to touch at all. Then I enhanced sensitivity to softest and it started working, albeit only at certain orientations of the pen. This means it works only if the pen is at 45deg or less to the screen and only facing one side. This is very annoying since it keeps interrupting when drawing. Any idea what I should do? It really seems like the pressure sensor in the pen is not working properly.

A:BSOD while using Photoshop CS5 on Wacom Cintiq

Hello, welcome to SevenForums!

Both of your BSODs point to win32k.sys, which was more than likely caused to crash by another driver. I've taken a look at your drivers list and your Wacom Tablet driver has a date of 2007, which is pretty old. I'm unsure if this is the last time Wacom has released a driver for your specific model, but it can be updated here Drivers | Wacom Americas or at the OEM support website if it came built in to your system.

Few things to note, since it's a custom built please STOP overclocking if you are. Update your nVidia drivers to the latest here.

After doing both of these, if you still get crashes, I'd like you to enable Driver Verifier. This will force a crash if it finds a driver at fault and hopefully help us diagnose your issue.

Please setup a backup / restore point before enabling it as sometimes Driver Verifier will break Windows in severe conditions. If you have trouble getting into Windows when enabling Driver Verifier, boot into Safe Mode and disable it.

Here's the problem: I recently got a new computer with Windows 7 on it. I downloaded THE most recent Wacom driver for my intuous tablet but the pressure sensitity won't work. I think it has something to do with the fact that I can't save any software into the folder called Program Files which is always a folder where software goes. There's a strange folder I've never seen before called "Program Files (x86)" and some software doesn't approve of the strange characters; this is the folder that the software is installing on (unless the software rejects it). On my new computer, "Program Files" folder a read-only folder and I can't remove the read-only setting even though I'm the administrator. I get an error message saying "An error occurred in applying attributes to the file: C:\Program Files\Commo...\Alphabet.xml Access is denied."

I've saved Photoshop into a folder that I made called "Graphics Programs." So, my tablet is working just like a mouse except there is no pressure sensitivity for programs like Painter and Photoshop and probably Illustrator is the same. This is a huge problem for me. I also tried reinstalling the graphics software thinking that maybe it didn't work because it was there before I installed the tablet's driver...this didn't work.

I went to the control panel and opened the tablet settings. It allows me to test pressure sensitivity there and everything looks setup properly.

Anyways, it would be nice to fix this ... Read more

When using some applications (tested: GIMP) my Wacom Graphire tablet lags and doesn't track short repeated brush strokes. The solution for this is to disable two settings that are on by default in Win7: "Press and Hold" and "Flicks".
Open the Control Panel and type "tablet" into the search field
Select "Pen and Touch" settings
From the "Pen Options" tab, select "Press and Hold" and click "Settings..."
Make sure "Enable press and hold for right-clicking" is unchecked.
Click OK.
Select the "Flicks" tab
Make sure that "Use flicks to perform common actions quickly and easily" is unchecked.
Click Apply, and OK.
This should solve the problem.  Perhaps someone else can add details if there is a way to disable these features while a given application has focus.  Perhaps this is part of the API, because ArtRage didn't seem to have this problem (it also appears to be a full screen app?). soo i've had this problem ever since i formatted my original art laptop.

i'm using a wacom intous small, and any type of driver i use [latest, or the previous version] is pulling up this error message;
"api-ms-win-crt-string-l1-1-0.dll is missing, please re-install it"
and i've read online that i should install microsoft visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 ?? but when i install it, i get a unknown error and it'll show up in my uninstallable programs list, but the wacom driver still will refuse to install with the same error message. i've tried installing on 3 different laptops and still no luck??

general information;
i'm wanting to install this on a windows 7 compaq presario CQ56. the drivers claim to be able to handle windows 7 [i've actually installed the drivers on my old vista before, and there wasn't an issue]

i'm not sure where to go from here???

Hi guys, i've been using the Windows 7 and my Wacom Intuos 3 for about 1 week and it was great.

But yesterday suddenly my tablet stoped work when my windows startup....if i disable the wacom drivers the tablet works fine but not with all the wacom stuff, and if i go to the wacom properties and remove settings my tablet back to work normally.

I've tried to reinstall the wacom Driver 6.1.2-4 but still the same...when windows startup and load my wacom driver the tablet stop...only work if i disable the driver or remove my settings..(yeah i've tried to get all stuff to default, didn't work too)

Sorry if there anything wrong with the text, English isnt my mother language

A:Windows 7 + Wacom Intuos 3 Problems...

Welcome to seven forums. My only suggestion is to try and contact the manufacturer and explain your problem. it doesn't sound like a windows seven problem but a problem with their driver support.

7 works with WACOM tablet OOB, but there's no pressure sensitivity. If you install WACOM drivers you get pressure sensitivity but you lose almost all features of tablet PC support, e.g. the cursor becomes a normal mouse, you don't get the virtual keyboard side panel, and the right click doesn't work as designed. Has anyone resolved this issue?

My Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet works fine in Win7 64bit. I'm using the 5.1.0-4 Vista drivers.
