Q: Problems and full of Problems - Logitech Webcam 9000 Pro stopped recor

Last night my Webcam 9000 pro stopped working and I uninstalled the software three times but still it wouldn't work. I rang Logitech team and they said, it is with Win 10 uploads.

Anyone else has the same problem please? First my printer stopped working and now this. I had many crashes of my computer and sometimes horrible experience but no help from Microsoft.

Is there a practical help from MS please?

I am over 84 and find it hard to cope with these crashes. Anyone prepared to render me help?

I Preach Christianity and put one or two videos every day. I have created over 5200 Videos so far.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Problems and full of Problems - Logitech Webcam 9000 Pro stopped recor

Try this...open Device Manager (right click icon bottom left corner).
Click on "Sound Video and Game Controllers".....extend to open....then right click on Webcam 900 Pro....is it working properly?
If not try updating Driver.
If that does not work Uninstall....then restart computer....this should reinstall the webcam if properly connected to computer.

These were related to lvuvc64.sys USB Video Class Driver from Logitech Inc.
Reinstall the latest please.

If that doesn't "fix the problem" try Driver verifier.

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective h... Read more

I bought a Logitech Webcam Quickpro for Notebooks and I got it to work just fine. It presumably worked on you brother's PC right up until he gave it to you?????
When you say he gave you the software, this was a disk that originally came with the camera???? And you used this disk for the installing???

You can go to logitech's site here and try downloading option 2 (driver robot to recognize your connected cam). Click on the cam image. If you're using XP it should open up your install wizard once you run the file from logitech. Take it from there.

I have a problem with my Logitech Fusion webcam and Vistas S3 Sleep function.

Everything works flawlessly without the webcam plugged in.

If I plug the webcam in and enter S3 sleep and subsequently brings it out of sleep, I have to unplug the camera and replug it in order for it to be recognized.

If I don't do the unplug/replug and try to put the comp into S3 sleep again it gets stuck somewhere in the process and I have to hit reset

So I have an HD C510 webcam and I can load up the LWS but if i click the Quick Capture or Motion Detection Buttons, a dialogue window pops up and tells me "Launcher_Main.exe has stopped..."

Basically I can't use LWS for my webcam recording.

I created another user, "Josh 2" to see if it'd work and in fact Josh 2 can do everything freely on LWS.

Josh "1" however, still has the problem.

I've tried uninstalling the software and the driver.
Then reinstalling.

I assume the problem is in my Windows 7. As it does seem easier to just move to the new user, I'd much rather find the solution to this problem. Could it be a registry problem?

Windows xp sp2, logitec webcam c250.

Installed according to directions on logitec (ran CD, connected hardware when prompted). Worked fine. Can see self in the logitec video screen, take pics, etc.
Chose not to use the headseat that came with the webcam as it had a mic built in to the camera and I only had one place to connect the head set would have pre-empted my speakers.

Downloaded and installed skype and ran through their series of video and voice tests. All was fine. Placed several calls...good. Also installed LogMeIn free version so I could support this set up after I left home for a business trip as my Mom is not all that savvy.

Two days after I got it all working, the Mic no longer works. When I run the test in Skype with the echo service, I can hear the recording, but it shows at the top the mic volume is too low and sure enough, it does not play back the messages I leave for the test.

I have found a post on here (several in fact) about checking certain skype settings and will do that when I get home tonight. Meanwhile I had my Mom move the camera from the USB port to another one thinking it was maybe a port gone bad. No such luck.

I also wondered if it could be caused by the install of logmein? It doesn't work whether I'm remoted in or not so it's not the amount of traffic causing the issue, it would almost be like some kind of interupt conflict but a) I thought that was pretty much a thing of the past and b) I wouldn't e... I want to start by saying that I love Windows 7. The only driver issue I have is with this Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 which I just purchased. I am on a 32-bit system and based on some of the things I've heard on here, they have had no trouble. Here are the issues that I've been having.

1) I try to install the Quickcam software and it does so successfully (also in compatibility mode), but once I try to use the software, it freezes up.

2) The camera always works but because I cannot use the software, I have not been able to record a video. I bought the camera so I could use Google Talk with my family and that's all I really care about.

3) The microphone does not work at all. Tested it in Sound Recorder.

Where I am now: I got Windows 7 to install the drivers but not to install the software. So in Device Manager it shows that everything is working properly. The main thing I want to work is the microphone so I have functionality with Google Talk.

Thanks in advance!

A:Problems with Radeon Mobility 9000

If it only happens sometimes, then the problem is most likely due to some kind of intermittant contact between devices in your laptop. Is it only games that have this problem, or does it happen on the windows desktop as well? You could try (if you are feeling brave and your laptop is not under warranty) opening up your laptop and reseating all connections and plugs that you see, starting with the memory chips. Also try moving/tapping/shaking your laptop when the problem occurs to see if the pattern disappears or changes. I notice that the pattern is regular, so that would suggest that something like a memory type issue. Experiment a bit then post your findings back here.

Hello. I wanted to ask about a problem that I've been having since I installed my new webcam. I have the Quickcam Pro 9000 & use Windows Vista. I installed software Version 11.8 (which was on the installation CD) and it seemed to work fine. But when I visited Logitechs website to download and install additional video effects (avatars and face accessories), they will not install. I have tried opening the file directly, which is supposed to go to the Quickcam program and place the new avatar or face accessory in the current list there. It doesn't place the new avatar/face accessory in the program though. I have the files set to open with the "Quickcam.exe" program, which I believe is the way it is supposed to work. On the troubleshooting section on Logitechs website, it says that the files should open and install automatically in the Quickcam program, placing the avatar or face accessories there.

I also tried uninstalling Version 11.8, reinstalled it and updated to Version 11.9. This didn't help the problem. I also get the error in the Logitech Diagnostics Tool that says it is "Unable to Find Quickcam installation". I would really appreciate any help with this and if anyone else has had this problem. If someone could give me simple steps on how to fix this, it would be great. I attached the Quickcam log files. Thanks.

I believe I have been hacked and keep getting the above problems.
I ran a GMER scan which told me that i have an unknown MBR code (this has also been confirmed by other scans from Hirens Boot CD programs) the GMER scan also indicates c:/windows/system32/config/system cannot be accessed because it is being used by another program. similar messages come up with ntuser.dat
I have recently reset this computer (which is an Acer laptop 64bit running win8) and have only basic programs on it with 406g free of 449g hd, yet the pc is running incredibly slowly.
when i access disk management apart from the c drive which it tells me is simple: basic ntfs 449.14g there are three other drives all of which are simple: basic and no file system, one is a recovery partition of 400mg, another is the efi system partition of 300mg and there is another rcovery partition of 15.8g.
I have pasted the gmer readout below and below that the alternate stream view ntfs (which I have never setup - some of which may be legit but others of which I suspect are not)
I have a text file which is a report of some 9395 alternate streams on my computer about which i have no knowledge in terms of setting up etc but was unable to upload. if required can email or find another way of providing such information.

I use to have a quickcam fusion webcam from logitech and recently upgraded to webcam pro 9000. After many experiments and searching this forum and logitech's forum for answers, the problem seems to point at Skype users. The problem? Voice speeds-up during the initial voice chat with someone and when performing the first echo-test with Skype.

I recently changed the compatibility to XP SP2 for Skype. Voice chat works on the first call.

IMO the problem is not the logitech drivers or sofware, nor is it with W7 32 or 64. I "think" it has to do with compatibility between Skype and Logitech Pro 9000.

What say you?

This problem first appeared when I was playing Halo around 2 years ago. I made it half way through the campaign before anything went wrong. The screen would randomly go all funky soon after I started playing the game. I waited a few days without playing the game. When I resumed, everything worked. A year later while Playing Half Life 2, the same problem showed up. Again, I was around half way through the campaign - everything was working for a while until then. I experimented with many different display drivers, bios updates, reinstalls of XP, etc... I was able to fix the problem by using a certain Omega driver, but it would only work when I started the computer (display problem appeared), started the game, and then restarted (problem gone).
Now the problem has reappeared randomly. This time it is worse than ever. Before, I would only encounter this when playing a game (Halo, HL2, CounterStrike). Now it not only appears on the desktop, but it appears on the XP boot screen while my pc is starting up. I have tried everything short of another reinstall of XP ( including opening up the whole laptop and blowing out the dust from the heatsink which I have done multiple times).

It seems odd that this would happen on both your laptop and desktop. Do you have an antivirus running? AVG is a good free anti-virus if you need one. Otherwise, these type of problems are common side effects of overheating. If your ambient room temperature is unusually high, try opening a window. You also may want to check that dust isn't choking your computers.

There webcam software for this Webcam Fusion was problematic in Vista. If you received an update from Logitech and didn't have the service LvComSer stopped, then your Vista registry would be forever foobar. OKay, I cannot tell if i just do not like what this day and age calls good audio or what, when i listen to rap I have bass that'll blow my damn ears out, when I listen to rock I basically have none and this is getting very bleeping old. Anybody have any ideas? I have the XPS 8700 Desktop. Which includes Dell Audio. And as you see in the topic, those are my speakers. Windows 7 64 bit OS by the way. And drivers are up to date.

Two things that I could have experienced this same kind of audio distorted sounds. The audio file compression when converted such as 128 kbps mp3 files are common and better quality produced compared to other bitrates. It could also be the equalizer settings from your media or sound chip drivers software or from the volume speakers/headphones audio enhancement and bit rate found on the sound properties as shown below.

Does anyone have experience of Skype video-calling with Vista? I have a Compaq Vista notebook with a Logitech Webcam for Notebooks. When I load the Logitech driver it all works fine. But the driver seems to be destabilised by Shut-down and Boot-up. It still gives a picture and sounds, but virually unuseable, until I reload the Vista driver. This is obviously unsatisfactory. I would even be willing to change the camera if ther were a better one. Any suggestions? Allan.

Hello, I wanted to get a headset to use for online gaming and possibly using programs such as Skype. So I ordered a Logitech ClearChat Premium PC headset from Best Buy. The headset arrived and I proceeded to read the instructions to make sure that I did everything right, they were pretty straight forward; plug each cord into its respective slot (mic into mic and earphones into ear phones) and it should have been ready to go. But when I tested them out the mic didn't work and the earphones didn't produce any sound, instead the sound came out of the built-in speakers on my monitor. I found out that the earphones only work when I plug them into the slot on the underside of the monitor (where there is no mic slot) and neither the mic or earphones work when plugged into the slots on the front of the computer. Also I checked the devices and apparently the computer doesn't even register that the headset is plugged in. I tested out a friends headset which uses the same two plug style cord and I got the same results. I really don't know what to do now, can anyone help?

Also I just tried the headset with a laptop (which had a built-in mic) and it works fine on there but unfortunately the laptop can't do what I need the mic for. Clearly the problem is with my computer, if you would like to see the specs you can see them on my profile.

Sometimes when my mouse clicks... nothing happens! Although the button IS sticky, I can tell when a "click" goes through by the feel and sound of the mouse. Recently, some clicks just don't do anything (this is terrible for online gaming). My right mouse button works fine however. Strangely, my clicks will sometime "catch up" with eachother, executing commands at a delayed rate. I have plenty of RAM (512mb) and plenty of HD space. I have a 1.8ghz proc. Any Ideas what the problem may be? I posted this already, but the post dissapeared after the forum went down.

A:Logitech Optical mouse... problems!

I believe that there are 2 things that might help you .
1. make sure that you are running the lastest "MouseWare" from logitech.
2. If the mouse if on a USB hub try and plug it directly into the mobo.
As a side note, i would open the mouse and make sure that there are no "foreign matters " inside that might cause a un normal operation of the buttons.
Quick question . Did all this start to happen "out of the blue" or did you had this problems from the very first moment when you pluged in the mouse ?

For some reason i can hear my music playing from i tunes i can speak into my mic and people type in that they can hear me. But for some reason i can't hear them I dont know what seems to be the problem i don't think it's the headset but i dont know what else the problem can be besides the sound card which i changed like 3-4 times.

A:Logitech USB Headset giving problems

If your headset as a single jack plug it is probably incompatible with the socket on the sound card which needs a connection for the mike and another connection for the speaker/earpiece.

I have a problem with my g7 mouse , I have it 2 months now with no problems but the other day my son dropped it pretty hard. Next day i couldn't double click to login to my pc so i used the keyboard and once logged in mouse was fine. Since then the problems have gotten worse , every so often ( anywhere from 5 to 50 minutes) the buttons will cease to function on the mouse but i can still move the cursor, if I press ctrl + alt + del and then close task manager the buttons work again for a while and then it happens again . When playing games ( 2-4 hours) there are no problems . Dont know if this is a hardware or software problem. i have reinstalled both mouse and drivers , changed usb ports , system restored to a point before problems but nothing seems to work. Any help or ideas would be great thanks.

This is on one of our Dell Optiplex 780m mini tower machines.

We have several wireless Logitech MK270 keyboard/mouse combos.
For the last couple months, one of our keyboards has been giving problems; it started out with intermittent mild symptoms and has progressively gotten worse.
As best I can tell, the receiver is not a unifying receiver, although some of ours are.

It started out that, after a day or so of idleness, typing on the keyboard would not show up on the screen, or it would skip letters, or maybe it would ignore the first few letters before they would show up.
At first, the cure (at least for that session) was to unplug the little USB receiver and plug it back in, at which point everything would work good as new until after another period of idleness.

It has gotten progressively worse until now, after several various "repairs" and computer restarts, I can maybe name three folders and then it will maybe type the first few letters of the fourth one and then quit responding.

Sometimes, the letters are the only thing that will not respond, while other buttons will still work; sometimes, nothing whatsoever on the keyboard will work.

I downloaded a "re-connection" wizard from Logitech to no avail.
I have uninstalled the keyboard in device manager and restart, after which it may work for five minutes before quitting again.

The batteries test very good; not having any luck at anything else, I tried brand-new batteries anyway; new batteries did no... Read more
