Hi, this is my last chance saloon.

BSODs happening almost every day. The computer can be working one minute, leae the room and when I return Blue Screen

I have tried all and sundry from memtest to driver verifier..

Will someone have a look at minidumps and shed some light please.. Help

► First, Disable Hardware Acceleration in IE9.

► Then, uninstall nvidia display driver, and reinstall it.
Download and install |MG| Driver Fusion (Driver Sweeper) 1.1.1 Download.
Reboot the computer in Advanced Boot Options, safe mode. Search Driver Fusion in your start menu, and remove all components of your nVidia display driver.
Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, follow option two to search for the appropriate driver for your system automatically, and install it.
Let us know the situation after that.

Hello my name is Josh I have followed your instructions on the BSOD posting instructions and will attach the logs for review.

The computer is sporadic sometimes it will bsod almost immediately launching almost any game wow,steam games,ect even sometimes just launching the web. Other times it will run for hours without bsod then suddenly crash. I've seen it get to the desktop and bsod 5-6 times in a row. Very random from what I can tell its not linked to a specific application.

Any help is greatly appreciated at this point i'm thinking its probly a hardware failure of some sort. Pinning it down would be helpful.

Hi everybody. I've tried to figure out this problem on my own, however i'm hitting a lot of walls. This is my first post, hopefully i posted everything correctly.

Here are my Specs:
1. Intel I7 950 3.07ghz
2. Asus X58 Sabertooth Motherboard
3. GSKILL 6gb RAM 1600; F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ (Did modify the BIOS to run at manufacturer's suggested RAM timings, performance seemed to improve and BSODs seemed to decrease but it could just be in my head.)
4. Nvidia GTX 570 EVGA
5. HD: 1 240gb Kingston, 1 60gb Crucial C300, 1 1TB Seagate. (I recently did a fresh install with the Kingston, however the problems i've mentioned were present well before the new HD)
6. PSU Corsair TX750W
7. All other bios settings other than RAM are at stock settings.
8. OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
9. Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials

Types of BSODs
1. PFN List Corrupt
2. Kernal Mode Exception
3. Memory Management
4. NTFS File System
5. System Service Exception

All of these BSOD's tend gravitate around the ntoskrnl.exe, ntfs.sys, and sometimes the win32ksys. I haven't been able to find a consistent pattern as to when they occur, it seems pretty random to me. However, I do notice that youtube and flash based applications seem to crash a lot more than they should.

Things I have done:
1. Ran Memtest for many passes (don't remember how many but it was over 24 hours)
2. Ran Chckdisk
3. Ran sfc /scannow
4. Updated Video and Audio drivers and everything i could find on the A... Read more

Random errors are often symptomatic of hardware issues (this includes low-level drivers BTW).
Please start out by running these free, bootable diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
This is what we start with at work to rule out most hardware problems.

About three weeks ago I started getting occasional BSOD's on startup for a Machine_Check_Exception, which typically indicates a hardware failure. After completely gutting my whole system several times, and spending too many hours in BIOS I was able to identify that there was a problem occurring during system start up while doing an IDE check. I finally realized that the problem was a disc drive. So I just removed the disc drive. (let it be noted that the BSOD only occurred during start up and occasionally my system would start up just fine and the computer would perform normally((I never use my disc drive so the function of that during this time is unknown)) )

Immediately after solving the IDE problem and being able to boot-up I receive several different BSOD's at random times, the occur most during gameplay (starcraft 2 particularly) This typically will be the System Service Except BSOD for an nvidia driver, nvlddmkm.sys I believe. I once got a BSOD for something involving a USB port, and I've gotten the BSOD for IRQ_less_than_or_NOT_equal with no driver listed.

I do have some dump logs available, however, I have noticed entire gaps in the logs, where I know that the computer was on, and did shut down due to a BSOD.

I do have my DXdaig results, and this shouldn't be due to a driver issue, as I was also receiving audio driver BSOD's but after a lot of driver updates, and rollbacks, I was able to fix that BSOD.

I have recently been having problems with one of my Windows 7 x64 machines which was stable for about 7 months before it started having problems again. Before it was stable it had similar problems to what I'm seeing now, except it lacked BSODs. Reseatting the memory fixed those issues it was having before. It is similarly configured to another computer I have that runs fine, so part swapping is an available option for memory, video card, and processor.

It suffers from a seemingly random assortment of BSOD problems (though SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL are the most common so far). Most of the BSOD point to ntoskrln.sys driver, one has pointed to the Nvidia driver (nvlddmkm.sys). It also sometimes crashes outright without a BSOD, going black and then restarting or just freezing. The BSOD and other restarts happens mostly when playing video games, but has also happened watching Hulu, or letting it sit at the desktop. When it restarts seldom does it not post the BIOS and give a BIOS error code instead. I haven't recorded the beep codes, but it appears to be long beeps running continuous without end; which according to Gigabyte means "memory not correctly installed".

I have tried updating my BIOS, chipset and video card drivers; but have found older Nvidia drivers to be more stable. Though this could just be coincidence as the crashes are random and the machine can be stable for hours playing a game one day and then suffer repeated crashes ... Read more

Two weeks after moving to windows 7 64bit from xp I started getting BSODs of all kinds, caused by, according to bluescreen viewer, core system files like ntoskrnl.exe and tcpip.sys and hal.dll, with messages including BAD POOL CALLER and DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. Often after rebooting before the starting windows screen there would be a message saying WARNING: an error has been detected with the hard drive, but the only disk related message I can find in the system log is with with event id 33: "The oldest shadow copy of volume C: was deleted to keep disk space usage for shadow copies of volume C: below the user defined limit." And all the hard drive diagnostics I have used have passed the harddrives. The BSODs often happened when I wasn't at the computer.

So I did a clean (re) install and the day after I get this System Service Exception BSOD which Blue Screen Viewer says is caused by ntoskrnl.exe. The event with id 33 is still occurring in the logs.

I am running windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I built this computer back at the end of January-all new parts. Within the first month I received BSODs consisting of Page Fault in Nonpaged Area, and Memory Management (happened twice) and did the Windows Memory Diagnostic and Memtest 86+ and found that I had issues with my Memory.

After swapping out my memory each time with new, I would go about 2 weeks and then I would get more BSODs. The types of BSODs that I am getting are:

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
SYSTEM_THREAD-EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

The most recent system service exception was when I was booting up windows last night. They all seem to happen at random times. I could be browsing the internet or I could step away and come back to find that an error occurred.

To try to debug the Memory Management and Page Fault BSODs, since with my researching I found that a common reason for this is bad memory, I once again ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and found no Hardware errors and I let Memtest 86+ run for 34 hours and found no errors.

If anyone has insight as to why these may be happening, I would greatly appreciate it.

These crashes were caused by memory corruption/exception (Cx05) probably a driver.
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.I understand you have done memtest already so start with verifier.

* If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!

* If you have a Raid update its Driver.

Memtest.

So I built a new pc on June the 2nd.
Specs:
CPU intel i5 4670 3.4ghz
Mobo Asus Z87-k
RAM 16gb corsair vengeance low profile ddr3 1600mhz CL9 1.5v
GFX MSI GTX 770 2gb
PSU Corsair TX650w (From OLD system)
Soundcard Creative Soundblaster Xtreme Gamer (From OLD system)
Storage 1tb and 640gb WD Caviar Black HDD (From OLD system)
OS: Win 7 SP1 fresh install

So here's a quick time line
build pc the first time; two faulty RAM slots that won't POST and turns out RAM is 1.65v which is technically not recommended so swapped for one above which is the recommended 1.5v for haswell cpus (further reading on this says 1.65v should work fine but trying to maximise compatibility here). Motherboard replaced as faulty. Problems were recurrent BSODs after and during fresh install of windows 7 of the KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLEd, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION with bluescreenviewer citing ntoskrnl.exe as the culprit (which it isn't). Memtest was clear over 12 passes. Hard drive diagnostics checked out perfectly.
Received the replacement gear and rebuilt but still got the same problems. RAM slots tested fine, Memtest is clear over 8 passes. Tried without sound card, still BSODs. Without graphics card, still BSODs. BSODs occur when idling, when trying to install drivers or when trying to install windows occasionally.
My current thoughts are it must be the only other component I haven't tested since I dont have another socket 1150 motherboard - the CPU. Kind of at m... Read more

I personally can't get anything from your logs, there are certainly no drivers showing up and it does seem to be pointing towards hardware. If you're suspecting the CPU, which it could well be, run Prime95 to stress test it.

Two things I would ask though is what copy of Windows media do you have, a DVD? It may be worth using an ISO from Digital River to rule that out. The other would be is your BIOS revision the latest?

Hi Folks,
I upgraded to Win10 a while back and have had BSOD almost every day (usually several).
I did also install 16gb of RAM at a similar time so was wondering if that may be related.

I seem to get most BSODs when using my GFX intensive CAD package but even chrome can trigger it.
It seems that my GFX is twitchy about using new drivers and BSODs are more frequent with any new driver.

Any help would be useful as I really dont know what to do.

So over the past few days, one of my PCs have been getting random BSODs (system service exceptions), and I haven't been able to figure out what the cause is. I haven't installed or modified any software of hardware; it's just randomly started blue screening. It also occurs randomly, whether I'm gaming, browsing the web, etc. I'm at a loss here unfortunately and was hoping someone here could help me out. For a long time now i have been getting BSOD's, pretty much all of the time from System Service Exception and KMode Exception Not Handled. Sometimes the PC never gets to the BSOD and just freezes up and restarts. This happens at any time whether im doing nothing or on the internet, sometimes it happens before the PC can load up fully. Most of the time though it happens when i am gaming. I rebuilt most of my PC but this still carried on. The parts that i have replaces are the PSU, RAM, Graphics Card and the case as well as adding in 2 extra fans. The temperature stays withing good values. The PC also often gets stuck on the post boot screen where it says "SMART Check Capable and OK" and it will take a few minutes for it to get past this stage and carry on loading, but this doesnt happen not all the time. I have tried diagnosing this myself but i have hit a wall. I ran Seatools and the HDD failed all of the tests, however after checking the fail code this was simply because it couldnt find the serial number. The HDD then passed tests from both CrystalDiskInfo and DiskCheckup. I thought that it was either the HDD or the MB as they are the only components not to be replaced. Since HDD seems to have passed its SMART tests i am inclined to believe it is the MB. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Guys,

I'm a composer working on a deadline and have started to experience quite intermittent BSOD's.
It appears to happen at higher system loads.
I'm reasonably experienced in building custom machines (this is my third on), and so far have never experienced issues with them.
This current one is a racked i7 3930K Hexacore on a Sabertooth x79, with 32gb of Ramm and a GTX470.
I'm using Nuendo 6 in 64 bit mode (Cubase's bigger brother) with an RME Fireface 800.
The fireface runs via firewire and has its own pcie card for this.
In addition there is an external G-tech drive connected via Esata.

In the last week I've been having 1-3 bsod's a day..a real productivity killer and I hope someone can help me out. I've used Whocrashed to at least get an indication of what it might be, but I don't have much experience with minidumps.

The only thing that I have noticed is that Windows is attempting a surface scan during startup, which fails due to a 'recently installed software package' I have no idea what that might be.
I've not been able to do a diskchk on C:
Regardless, C: seems to work fine and I've not noticed any issues.

Drivers are pretty much up to date.

I'm attaching a dump, would someone mind having a look and giving me a clue? Thanks in advance!

I have been getting these "Bad Pool Header" and "System Service Exception" BSODs for about a day now (the "Bad Pool Header" one tends to pop up more often then the other btw). I ran a registry cleaner which didn't work and ran memtest this morning and it showed that my memory was fine. The BSODs tend to occur more often when I am playing a game or running some program that uses a bit more memory but it also happens when I am just on the internet. On the other hand, last night I did nothing but surf YouTube for 3 hours and didn't get a BSOD at all. However, since then I haven't been able to do anything for more than 10 minutes (without being in safe mode) without it crashing, and this morning it completely froze until I turned it off. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. It came preinstalled from the manufacturer and unfortunately I do not have the install disc. The entire laptop is less than 2 years old and there have been no major hardware changes and I have never reinstalled the OS.

This is my first post in these forums and I am looking into insight on what my underlying cause may be in these multiple BSOD's. I am not very experienced nor extremely tech savvy, so please bear with me while I attempt to explain.


As the title states, I do not even know where to being so I shall start at the very beginning. I was browsing local craigslist and found a deal too good to pass up, it was the phenom x6 1090T, msi gd70 MB, 8 gigs of ram and a tb hdd for 125$, so I immediately jumped on that as soon as I could. Upon buying a power supply, case and video card i was up and running. Everything went smooth at first, and then the hard drive started failing, no big deal, bought another one, after all I got a good deal. Then one of the sticks of ram was dying causing bsods as well, since 4 gigs of ram doesn't do much when gaming, i bought a new set. Yet still I am having BSOD issues.

Ironically the majority of the BSODs come from playing Counter-Strike GO, while playing the game I notice my gameplay becomes choppy and lagged, but I maintain A constant frame rate well over 100fps. Then I notice lag spikes in my latency for no apparent reasoning at all, my latency or ping will go from 60's to 3-400 only for a second or two every 20 seconds or so. This usually ends up agitating me so I close the game and thats when the BSOD occurs, upon closure of the game, this has happened with other games as well but seems to be more typical with this particular game. ... A:BSODs PFN List corrupt & memory management

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
Please attach the DMP files to your next post not to post one.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. If empty (or non existent) please look in the following folders. C:\windows (the dmp should be called memory.dmp), and C:\windows\LiveKernelReports\Watchdog.

Well I had a power supply failure, and multiple parts in my computer have failed. I'm using my original hard drive and video card, but that's really about it. I replaced everything else. My computer is working again.....except daily I am having random bsods. Usually PFN List Corrupt, and IRQL not less or equal. Here is the error report on my last bsod. I suspect bad drivers, but can't nail down which one. I am suspecting my video card and hard drive as well at this point, but I reformatted the hard drive and am still getting bsods. I have tried 3 different ram pairs. Can anybody glean any information from the dump file? Any help is appreciated.

I suggest starting all troubleshooting with the following diagnostic tests (located at this link: Hardware Diagnostics ). They'll save you a lot of time and heartache if there is a hardware failure, and you'll have the disks on hand in case you need them in the future:

Hey, I've been getting random blue screens all over the time lately. I honestly don't know what the problem is. This PC just works whenever it wants to. I've tried updating the drivers, but that doesn't seem to be working. I ran Memtest, and it said my memory's fine. I don't know what else to do. The OS is Windows Vista, and it was pre installed when I got the computer. It's a Compaq Presario SR5333WM, and is over 5 years old. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Lately I have been getting a few BSODs caused by ntoskrnl.exe. The BSODs do not seem to have any patterns; I got one when playing, another one when closing a different game and opening Facebook, or even when not using my computer (Heard it reset while being in my room).

The three I got so far this month were caused by ntoskrnl.exe+1063df. The other ones also involve ntoskrnl, but the other file is different.

My BIOS is up to date (Did it two days ago)

EDIT: I ran a Memtest86+ today and got 6 passes/ no errors.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.Uninstall Daemon Tools
Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:Double click the executable to open it
Click on the button shown below


If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Hello friends. I have been having an issue with BSODs for some months now, they were usually infrequent enough that I just ignored them thinking "I'll fix it eventually", and they have steadily grown in frequency (I've had 4 in the last 24 hours, but sometimes I can go for a couple of days working fine).

I have also been having a problem where I will be using chrome and the page will suddenly flip to the chrome error message stating something went wrong. I have created a new user as their troubleshooting guide says and it still happens, sometimes it will happen 3 or 4 times within a few minutes and other times I can be browsing fine for hours. I can't consistently replicate this, it has happened on everything (facebook, youtube, reddit and so on).

I ran a malwarebytes scan on full and that came back clean

I only replaced the ram in early August, but all the errors seem to be pointing to that as the culprit. I'm hoping someone here can help me =[

So , let us search for any driver which is causing the problem or not. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Also, the the memory modules needs to be tested.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Run it for at least eight passes, preferably overnight.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

This is how I'm spending a holiday weekend...

I have been trying to fix this issue for the entire life of this PC. It is only about 18 months old, but started to blue screen about two weeks out of the box. The issue usually occurs overnight when the PC is idle, but not always. The crash dumps show that every two weeks or so it goes down. Using the Windows Debugger tool, no less than eight different stop codes (atikmdag.sys, win32k.sys, ntkrnlmp.exe, Ntfs.sys, Pool_Corruption, fileinfo.sys , win32k.sys, rdbss.sys) are shown as possible culprits. I got a windows 7 PC six months ago, and ever since have been getting random BSOD's mostly when web browsing or leaving my computer on while it is not in use. Their are no issues when playing games, strangely enough. So far I have replaced the motherboard, ran a disk check and got no errors, ran a SFC scan and got no errors, and ran the Memory Diagnostic Tool with no errors. I'm completely stumped as to what may be causing this. All of my drivers are up to date and I have service pack 1 installed. I am not overclocking.

These crashes were caused by memory corruption/exception (probably a driver).
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

* If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!

* If you have raid update its Driver.

Memtest.

So far I have tested the HDD with 3 different testing tools (CrystalDisk, SamsungHDDTool, and ToolstarHDD Test. All passed. RAM Test has also passed on a 5 pass run. Mainboard was changed in the Notebook last week under Guarantee. What else could this be? Any help is appreciated.

Laptop, only the power suppy connected. RAM tested with Memtest86+ (7pass) and it passed. Mainboard replaced, Hard drive tested with CHKDSK, SamsungHDDTool, and Toolstar HDD Test. Recovery of the system is not possible because the device is a guarantee case and the customer does not want to lose his data. I am able to boot to the desktop. The bluescreens are sporadic. No new software or hardware has been added to this laptop in the last 24 hours. The customer says that he does not add any external hardware devices to the laptop when he uses it. The laptop is only 3 months old.

I have downloaded and installed ALL drivers from the Sony Vaio support site. After the first restart, I was thrown another 2 BSODs: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (0x0000003B) and SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (0x1000007E). So far the following work has been done on this notebook:

My computer keeps showing me the blue screen that restarts and says system service exception. It only does it sometimes when I'm in the middle of doing something. It usually shuts off while I'm in the middle of a skype video chat but I don't think that skype is what's messing it up. Please help with this problem, I need it fixed before I take it to college.

I have recently upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and have had nothing but troubles ever since. I started from a fresh ISO with a new SSD and Motherboard. After countless blue screens I upgraded to windows 10 and they kept coming, So after numerous OS resets I decided that if I was not going to have to reinstall all of my software and apps once a week. I have returned to Win 7 64 from a fresh install. I am receiving System service Exception blue screens. They are speratic. The event log shows 3 Critical events in the last hour. They are from my crashes. The error events just prior are WMI (event ID 10) and BugCheck (Event ID 1001 a memory dump) I have been told that the error appears to be a driver issue, I have updated every driver possible. I do not know what to do. I cannot successfully graduate like this. The issues may have already caused me to fail a course. Please help.

I've had my laptop for three days now and it keeps restarting every 5 minutes. Google Chrome will stop working and stop responding and close down when I'm surfing the web. Every time it restarts it shows a blue screen with the error messages "system_service_exception" and "kmode_exception_not_handled" I've already done a system recovery and reset it to its factory settings but it won't stop restarting and freezing up on me. I'm considering sending it back in to have HP fix or replace my laptop, but first I wanted to post my question to see if anyone has any helpful advice. Thanks.

I have been experiencing Blue SOD frequently (at least once per week, sometimes daily, occasionally 2 x a day) randomly since November 2016 , usually while working thru wireless VPN.  The shutdown is only a few minutes and system comes back up.  I have had several computer techs service with no success - after service will not experience issue for about a week, then it returns.  I work from home and this is extremely disruptive!  Can anyone assist me with a solution?  Thanks!

Got this new Lenovo desktop with WinHate. Struggled with several weeks to learn and set everything up. Finally it is working just fine and dandy. ALL OF A SUDDEN, out of the blue, it decides that it wants to take mini-vacations at random times throughout the day in the form of SYSTEM.SERVICE.EXCEPTIONS. I saw somewhere that Symantic might be the culprit...I did not have Symantic products but, the only things that happened recently were that that the stupid McAfee that came with the PC upgraded and like two days later started to complain that it was expired and that I should renew it. So, based on someone saying that Symantic (Norton) might cause this error, I went ahead and delete the McAfee (using CP Program Deleter) (BTW: I use a paid version of AVAST for virus protection)

So anyway, this started happening and keeps happening randomly.

Now another thing which I have noticed is that, I think, every time it crapped out, I was using Firefox. Do you know ANY REASON why that may be related? Now this is a problem because I have now run into three important commercial sites that I am required to use to function which DO NOT WORK with the stupid Internet Explorer 10 that Microsoft felt compelled to shove down my throat. These sites work fine with Firefox.

Can you Help me, Tech Guy? Can Ya', PLease?

Twice or more a day my HP Pavilion (m9300t) crashes and gives me a bsod saying "System Service Exception." Thinking it might be heat related, I opened the case and shoot a fan in, which helped for a day or so. Running Vista x64 Home Premium. Original Installation for the software. 4GB of RAM. Hardware purchased in Sept 2008.

My computer BSODs every morning. The screen lasts for about two seconds, then the computer reboots and runs fine for the rest of the day.
All I got from the error screen was Ox3b before it restarted this morning. I'm terrified that it's going to die on me before I'm done with this semester of college. That is all the info I know how to give to you, if you need more just tell me how to get it.

So about 1-2 days ago my laptop crashed with System Service Exception. At first I thought it was because of a game I was playing through VM (I had to VM Windows 7 coz it won't run well with Windows 8) but then even after I give up on it it was still happening. Its either every hours or seem to be very time it get to a half hour the system would crash with the same error.

Just had a crash while typing this and I check my event log, almost all crashes happen around when close reached xx:30 (within like 1s) That or i happen to turn on arou nd xx:30 so its crashing almost exactly 1hr after system turns on.

I'm running windows 8.1, hardware is asus ROG g751jt, i7 core, 16gb ram, 500gb ssd and 1tb hdd, gtx970m.

Please can you assist with my BSOD issue I have been getting occasionally. It generally happens when playing BF4 but that may be a coincidence since I play it alot.

Only 15 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 70 to 90 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

Recently I've seen significant problem resolution in Gigabyte motherboards by getting the latest UEFI/BIOS updates. Please visit the Gigabyte website and get the latest availale update. If possible, use the builtin Windows Update tool to update it.

Free space is getting low on your SSD. Keep an eye on it. 15% free is ideal, but most systems can get by with as little as 10% free without experiencing problems.

There are a lot of Live Kernel Events in the WER section of MSINFO32.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Hello everyone ! 
I am trying to figure out why my laptop gets a BSOD . I am using Windows 7 and whenever I try to boot on my system after a few seconds I get a bluescreen : System service exception , ks.sys . I have attached the two (2) last minidump files created .
I have to say that this does not happen in safe mode
( this is actually where I am posting from ) .
 
If anyone could help I would be more than gratefull!

Step 1
 
(1)  Click on the Start orb, then type msconfig.exe in the Search programs and files box.  
 
(2)  When msconfig is seen in the pane above the search box and under Programs, right click on it, then click on Run as administrator.

A few weeks ago I shelled out and built my own system. Since the installation of Win7 Ultimate (64bit), i've been having some system crashes, namely System_Service_Exception(3b) two times, and once Bad_Pool_Header.
I looked at the dumps with windows debugging tools but can't make much of what i'm looking at.

Things i've tried:
Reinstalled Windows
memtest86+ - my first pair of ram sticks were bad. I replaced them, ran the check again, (they were good this time) but BSODs persist.
Updated drivers
Flashed latest BIOS
System Specs:
Intel i3 550;
Gigabyte h55m-s2v motherboard;
ZOTAC GeForce GT 430 PCIe
4GB (two sticks) DDR3-1333
500watt psu

Start by installing SP1: Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

It is also a good idea to run a couple other hardware diagnostics.

Run Memtest86 again, on all sticks of RAM at the same time and for 7 passes.

Run the Blend and Small FFTs Prime95 tests: CPU - Stress Test with Prime95 - Windows 7 Forums

Run the Short and Long DSTs in SeaTools, for the hard drive.

While playing games I keep getting a blue screen labeled'System Service Exception'. It happens every time I'm in a game, but is random on how long until it does, sometimes right away, other times 30-40 mins.

In the line at the top of “www.SevenForums.com” you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.

Hi,
I know this is a kommon problem and there are other threads on this. But, as every problem is also individual, I still dare to post.

Until yesterday my computer worked fine. I played Skyrim, then read my e-mails using Firefox and then turned the computer off and went to bed. In the morning I turned the computer on and it didn't start. Instead, it ran system repair. After that, it didn't start again - it got to the Windows 7 opening screen, then computer went silent for a moment (not the screen, but hard drive), and threw me back to the start screen of computer. I pushed F8 and ran the last known good configuration. Nothing. I ran again system repair and after that last known good configuration. Now it started. I was able to use the computer for half an hour, just reading e-mails and listening to music using Windows Media Player and reading a text on Word, when suddenly everything froze. Completely - so completely that I had to use restart button on the computer, Cntrl+Alt+Del didn't help. It hasn't happenede like that never before!
After pushing restart-button the computer got to the Windows, I could already see my backround picture, when I suddenly got the blue screen saying the infamous words SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION etc. Well, I did let the poor thing to restart again, run system repair again, try to use the last known good configuration again, but at least three times in a row I got this bloody system service exception.

Hello, I have been getting random BSODs recently. There is not an obvious cause or coincidental program i am using when these appear to be happening. The errors i am getting are pfn list corrupt, memory management, and zero irq system service.

Hi,

As the thread title says, this isn't the first time I've encountered this problem. However I was sick of having various blue screens and computer crashes I decided to do a fresh Windows installation on a brand new hard drive. Basically, I installed everything i need from the previous hard disk. I didn't do a backup just took out those files i need and changed to a new hard drive. Everything was working fine until i got the blue screen. I updated everything from windows update except service pack 1 as it keeps giving me errors. I'm unsure if it's due to hardware or driver issue. Please take a look and give me some advice. Thanks!

Well you took the problem from the old system to this one when you installed Norton on it. It is the cause of them

I do notice Symantec which is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST
