Personal signature on email or Word

Q: Personal signature on email or Word

How can you put your personal signature on the computer where you can use it to sign a document such as a proposal?

I have seen emails or attachments that had the personal signature but can not figure out how they did it.

I am not talking about a signature that would have info on it but a copy of your actual handwritten signature.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For a written look, use a cursive font. Take a screenshot of it and save as gif or png so you can make the background transparent if you want to use it on colored backgrounds (transparency doesn't matter if you only use it on white).
Resize and crop the pic to the desired finished size and just insert it.

If you want your actual signature, scan it in and do the same.

I use hotmail as one of my email addresses.
I have changed the name and nature of my business, so i want my personal signature that lands at the bottom of each of my messages to reflect the new changes. I have tried and tried, but can never get the new changes to go through. I always get the original personal signature.
Also, I cannot figure out how to use the rich text editor in that area, either. I would appreciate some pointers. thanks in advance

Hi! I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, but it's really difficult to explain. One of my email buddies (fortunately he's an honest person) recently told me that any email I send him, from both my home and work computers, has a ton of garbled info attached to the end of the email... The info includes previous emails I've sent to other people, cell phone bill details, shopping details - ANY and EVERYTHING I do online is connected to my emails to him. It doesn't matter what email I use... My Outlook account at work, Gmail, Aol, RR... it all attaches info to EVERY email I send to him. Even the "Read Receipt" he receives when I click on one of his emails has info attached to it. !?!?!?!!! IT'S EXTREMELY DISTURBING! And he also receives info from my family members who use my computer at home, so it's not just MY info he's receiving.

I do know that he is on a "Whitelist" with the company he works for (for a very important reason), so he's not bound to the security that everyone else is protected by. He's had his computer restaged twice and it still keeps happening. He uses Outlook and it happens with his desktop AND his laptop at work.

I thought about talking to my IT Helpdesk at work, but haven't yet since this is happening from EVERY computer I use, so I know it's not a specific computer issue. Is there, perhaps, something that my friend has done, without my knowing, to gain access to my per... Read more

I can't add our shared org email using the normal outlook setup. I tried POP/IMAP, it worked but the emails and subfolders are incomplete. And the shared org email is associated with my personal org email, whenever I tried to remove the associated folders,
it say's "This group of folders is associated with an email account. To remove the account, click the File Tab, and on the Info tab, click Account Settings. Select the e-mail account and than click Remove."
Then I tried a lot of times to remove my email and back again, it is still there. I also removed the additional mailboxes in the screenshot below.

A:Need help ASAP, about signature in Word

If the signature is a picture or scan of their hand written signature, there is no way to prevent someone from copying it and inserting it into another document. There may be ways to prevent casual copying by someone , but you can not stop a savvy person intent on copying it. You should consider anything that can be viewed on a computer screen or printed out as copyable.

Rather than using any kind of written signature, your friend might wish to consider digitally signing their PDF files. Here is a link to the Adobe site that explains how it works:

Hello everyone! I have some html that I'd like to use as a personal signature setting with my Outlook emails. Two questions:

2.) once I've completed the above step, how do I save all that html information so that when I select the "browse" option under "signatures" in Outlook", it will find it and paste it?

Hope that makes sense. When I read the online instructions it said to save my file a an html file in My Documents. When I did that, I was unable to locate the document in My Documents. I think that this shouldn't be this difficult. Help! lol

I have seen an old post on here that mentions the best way to use headed paper in an email is to create a signature instead:

"The convention is to create a signature for e-mail messages containing the company logo and/or masthead. E-mail messages are supposed to be small. You do not want to use a full Word template with leader head for e-mail."

However I cannot seem to get images to appear in the signature or even the written document - they just appear as a blank square. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks!

You can edit the signature and it will bring up word (if you are using outlook) and you can craete your signature there with or without an image and all types of fonts and colors.

Hello,

We already have already set up Outlook to include a signature on all outgoing email but some of our emails are generated from reports within Access and Sge Line 50 (Accounts package) and these don't include the signature.

The easiest option for Access would be to include the signature text in the report code but this would not include the name of the person that sends it.

As the emails created from these software packages open in Outlooks email editor is it possible to have the signatures automatically inserted in them.
TIA

A:Email Signature - MS Access & Sage

I do not about Sage, but in Access you can include the name of the Person sending the email if Security is being used. I used a User Table to hold the person's Name, work ID, Position or Title, email and telephone number, which can easily be incorporated at the end of the Text being sent.
I think it is also possible to invoke the Outlook Signature using VBA, but I haven't seen the code for it, it may depend on what VB code you currently use to create the email.

I'm stumped.

I am running Windows XP with Outlook 2003. I use Comcast for my ISP and email.

When I try to send an email out with Outlook it won't send. There is no error message and it is not in the outbox, but it never shows up in the recipient's inbox.

After tons of troublshooting, I've determined that it won't let me send an email with my signature attached. If I use comcast's website, I can use my signature and it goes through fine. I changed my signature and used my partner's signature, which is exactly like mine and it went through. So I figured I would just paste his into the create a signature page and then change the contact info and name. That did not work.

I tried to create a word doc with my signature and paste it from there, but that did not work. However, if I hand type my signature, then it goes through.

I can only guess that something between my computer and the comcast server is marking my message as spam when it reads my signature. I have no idea how to fix this.

Any suggestions?

I've tried turning off the scan email option on McAfee, but that didn't work either.

A:Outlook 2003 won't send email with my signature

The problem is not with Comcast. Try removing your account completely from OE. You will not lose your mail. From there just set it back up. I work for an ISP and you would be amazed at the problems that come in and this simple task fixes the issues.

Hi,

My company recently moved to a new location and I was having everyone change their email signature in Outlook. Unfortunately, 2 of the employees were unable to select anything in their email options. They are both using Outlook 2003 SP2 Small Business Edition. When I tried changing it is has the current signature option but the drop down to change between the sigs is gray and the box to edit isn't available. I also tried to change it within the email itself by right clicking on the current signature and selecting the option but that is also all grayed out. The only benefit in this screen is it will actually let me choose between the different sigs currently available, but still won't let me edit or create a new one. Has anyone else had this problem or know a way of fixing it?

I have tested and retested these sypmtoms .. they are accurate.

From a particular sender, I CAN receive email from her so long as she does not include her signature line. I receive email from OTHERS with THIER signature line .. but not this one particular individual.

I ran a number of tests, by having her send various emails to me, with and without signatures, and even from different computers.

Without exception, I received the ones without the signature and did not receive the ones with the signature ... from either computer.

I have gone through all 'normal' security settings .. disabled AV, reduced IE settings signficantly, verified the email address is in safe or allowed lists, everything. I go to a friend's computer and all the emails come in.

I am using Windows 7.

There HAS to be some very simple answer for this .. some setting somewhere.

I beseech you fellow computer techs ... enlighten me! PLEASE!

Goto options-->more options-->(under customize your mail)click personal email signature. Look for a drop down menu, the default value is Rich Text, change it to 'Edit in HTML'. Then for your image insert this code '<img src="(the address of your image)">'. You need to put the code before the </pre></div> tags.

EDIT: Your image needs to be hosted on a web server, for example Photobucket, Imageshack.
