I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Does anyone know, with certainty, what the correct version/download of Lenovo Energy Manager for an Ideapad G710, running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is?  I had to uninstall LEM in order to charge my battery (and not have it think it was unauthorized). I'm not sure if the problem was just an incompatibility with a Windows update, so I'd like to give LEM another shot. On the official Lenovo downloads page for my serial #, there is no LEM software available under Power Management.  What version of the software should I be running? Ideapad G710Windows 8.1 64-bit Thank you!

I've been getting the following error each time I start my laptop.  I've tried clicking each option, and they all appear to do the same thing - close out the error window.  It doesn't appear again until after I shutdown and startup again.  I'm on Windows 10 and it sounds like Energy Manager generally has been an issue when upgrading to 10.  I'm trying to find the Energy Manager driver for Windows 10 for my particular laptop, the Flex 2-15, but I can't find it anywhere on the Lenovo site.  Can anyone else locate it?  Or have another solution to this issue?  Thanks!?

Hi I have the HP Notebook - 15-r150sa (ENERGY STAR) laptop from brand new. Was factory installed with Windows 8.1 I believe. I have upgraded to Windows 10 64 bit, but I would like to go back to the original Windows that it was originally installed with if possible. Please note, I bought this laptop from brand new from a reputable retailer in the UK, but it did not come with any installation disk or anything like that. If I press F11 during start up, all of the reset/recovery options ask me to insert a disk which I dont have and wasn't supplied.  Also all of the options before asking for a disk only offered Windows 10 as a start point. I cannot roll back to original windows as 30 days has passed, and there is no option to do anything else. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1 recently and now iam stuck with my battery at 60% conservation mode. On this web site there are numerous versions of the old Lenovo "Energy Manager" application.  I tried three different ones on Windows 10 on my 700-15ISK, and they all worked.  Curiously, they all had slightly different combinations of features, but they all supported "Conservation Mode". If you still have the installation EXE for the "Energy Manager" version that you were using, try installing it on Windows 10 and see if it still works.  If you no longer have that EXE, this is the version that I tried on Windows 10, and which I use on Windows 7: http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/downloads/DS100173 Alternatively, you might find that the current Lenovo "Vantage" application works on your system.  You can download it from the Microsoft Store free of charge.  I have not tried it myself. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

I just have a few questions about how conservation mode and express charging work. These two are located in Energy Manager under settings. Conservation mode keeps the battery percent at 55-60%. How is this done? Does the computer discharge until 55% and then charge back up to 60%? Also, if the computer is off, but the AC adapter is left in, will the computer still remain between 55 and 60%? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery? Express charging allows the computer to be fully charged in 100 minutes. How is this done? Why is this feature not enabled by default? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery? Thank you!

Read a few articles on how to treat a battery properly. This I found a decent article.http://gizmodo.com/how-to-take-care-of-your-smartphone-battery-the-right-w-513217256If the computer is turned off, your laptop will still remain between 55 and 60%.Express charging generates excessive heat, can make the battery die slightly faster. It's done by allowing more current to flow to the battery. But generally the more you keep your battery cool, the longer it will live. There are plenty of articles like the one above on Google some are more brief, some are more in-depth and more difficult to understand.

I hope you understand that worktime on battery depends on many conditions - mostly on intense of LCD backlight and CPU/VFA/HDD work.Anyway, you may try to simply uninstall it if you believe this will help to gain more battery life (which I doubt).

I have the a Lenovo Y 40-70. I've upgraded to Windows 10 and I need the "Lenovo Energy Management" program in order to fix the battery gauge, which is giving me inaccurate readings (battery dies when it's showing between 30-40%) On the Y 40-70's support page, the Energy Management driver for Windows 10 is some sort of corrupt file, only 1mb and it wont open. Any idea what's going on? The link to the faulty download file is here: http://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-y-series-laptops/y40-70-noteboo... I know my battery gauge problem has to do with a driver in the device manager called "Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller." Sadly I haven't found a way to disable this thing in Windows 10. If Lenovo has an incompatible driver on their systems, the least they can do is provide software for Windows 10 that will remedy the situation. They've got me running in circles.

A:No "Lenovo Energy Management" for Windows 10?

I have a Lenovo Y40-70. Same as obesechipmunk, I've upgrades to windows 10, and the battery gauge is also giving me inaccurate reading of the battery. My battery is stuck at 8% when plugged in, and it estimates 10 hrs to fully charged. The laptop doens't seem to configure with the battery. I tried uninstalling Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller and reinstalling, but it doesn't work. I updated my energy mangament using the following link: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-y-series-laptops/y40-70-noteboo...However, it doesn't seem to fix the problem. This is very upsetting. My Lenovo Y410P (64-bit edition) came shipped with Windows 8.1.  I upgraded to Windows 10 last year.  Recently, my computer began freezing, and often times would not boot up.  I was forced to re-install Windows.  All is fine now except that the Lenovo Management software is nowhere to be found.  Yes, it is available from the Lenovo website but there is no listing nor reference to that software that is compatible with the Lenovo Y410P running Windows 10 (upgrade) 64-bit.  As a result, my batter is stuck at the 60% charge with no way to change that. Can anyone tell me, definitively, if that software is still available for the Lenovo Y410P running Windows 10 Home 64-bit?  If so, where can I find it?
