I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: [CRITICAL] Lenovo y50-70 Doesnt Boot Up AFTER BIOS...

Hi there, Yuvaraj ?

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Power down the machine, remove the AC adapter and battery.
Hold the power button for 30secs and reconnect the AC adapter only then turn the computer ON.

If the machine still doesn't power up normally and boot into Windows then it's likely that something went wrong (could be a bad BIOS flash or an internal component might have gone defective during or after the BIOS update).
Also, check the cable to the SSD and the system board.

Last resort would be, issue with motherboard. I would recommend you to contact Lenovo service center and report your findings. For more details, Schedule a Call-back for faster support.

Update us how it goes.

Hi Lenovo Forum,I wanted to ask for help and advice on whether there is a need for my Flex 4 laptop to update its BIOS.It's my first time opening the Lenovo companion app that came with the laptop and I noticed that there is one critical update.  Here is the installation history: Here is the system info from the companion app Now my question is, do I have to update this or simply ignore it?Just to clarify, I'm not really a tech savvy person. I am unsure if this is safe or not. I read from other sites that updating the BIOS may have risks of bricking the laptop and make it unusable. So, I really need help if I should proceed with the update or leave as it is. The current situation right now is, everything seems to be working fine. I am near my warranty expiration. The only complaints that I have is that whenever I leave my laptop and set it to sleep by 11PM, I open it the next morning and the battery is all drained to 1%. This does not happen all the time, but for it may happen quite frequently. Here is my battery information And one other complain is that, even if I set it to sleep mode, sometimes, I do hear the laptop fan go really loud. I am also not sure why that happens. But I hope all my additional information would be helpful on determining if my computer has issues and if I do really need to update the BIOS. Any type of help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A:Lenovo Flex 4 BIOS Critical Update and Battery issues

EDIT Upon checking this link:http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/flex-series/flex-4-1570/80sb/80sb000... It seems like I have dozens of things to update that doesn't even show in the Lenovo Companion App.Most importantly, this has the latest BIOS:BIOS Update for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Notebook0VCN25WW(V1.09) I am not sure what is the necessary version or required updates. This is quite confusing.

The BIOS does eventually boot my O.S, which is Windows 10. Though I did find a trick to speed up the 60 tries, (Resetting the BIOS to default settings) it doesnt work after a week of using it. I tried editing the MBR, (it was hard to access the X: drive) but it didnt work. I recently bought a Dell UltraSharp 24, which basically was the time when this happened. My computer is a laptop, a Dell Latitude E6520. I have a BIOS A15, and I dont know if I should update it. So my questions are:Did anyone find a fix to this problem?Or should I update my BIOS?
Thanks,

Hi guys, I have Z60m, without harddrive, which powers up (1,A LEDs blinks, CPU fan rotates, DVD blinks) but nothing happening. Nothing on screen, battery Yellow and blinks. I removed DVD, Mem and WIFI.... still the same, there is no noises etc... What can I do to figure out what is going on? How can I get into BIOS? May be I have to reset CMOS?\ Thank you.

A:Old Lenovo Z60m doesnt boot but powers up

If the battery-LED is blinking fast (approx. 2 times per second) remove the battery, disconnect from power supply and press the power-button for 30 seconds. Then attach the power-supply  leave the battery off and try to poweron the notebook. Dead batteries also can lead to the symptoms you described.

More hints:
The Z60 is based on the ThinkPad T43. It also can get "Flexing".
Other causes may be contact with liquids in the past, damaged keyboard, crashed BIOS-update, a short in the USB-ports.

To reset the CMOS you also can remove the BIOS-battery but take care: If BIOS-passwords had been set, you only can run the computer after entering the supervisor-password.

Hello all, trying to fix a computer for a friend, but not sure what the problem is yet. I believe it is either the switch that detects when the laptop is closed being broken or where the LCD screen connector reaches the mother board. But I am hoping to eliminate all other options before opening it up. So this is what I have tried so far:-Unplug the battery, detach power, hold the power button down for 20 seconds, put the battery back in, power up. The hard drive spins up, the indicator light comes on, but the screen doesnt power up. I plugged it into an external monitor, and the external monitor works, but the on board lcd screen does not.-I did the same as above, but instead of putting the battery back in, I just plugged it in and had the same results as above.-I have also held a flashlight to the screen to make sure that the backlight is not the issue, and even with a bright light to the screen I still cannot see anythingSo like I said, not sure what the issue is. They have had the computer for several years so I am assuming it is out of warranty. I currently have it plugged into an external monitor and am running Lenovo's hardware diagnostics program on it. Once again I am assuming it either has something to do the switch that turns the screen on and off when you close the laptop, or with the connector that runs from the lcd to the motherboard. Hoping you guys might be able to help out!

Hello, I own a Lenovo W530 (Machine Type 2438).After installing Windows 10 the Lenovo Solution Center recommended a battery update, which I did, but didnt work. Since that I had some problems with my BIOS, but they stopped (re-enter date) . About two weeks ago, my battery was empty and my laptop crashed. When restarting it my display didn`t work any more. I thought that my display / display cable broke (i had reordered a display a week before due to stripes on my lcd caused by dumb cleaning). After the new display didnt work I noticed that one cable of the intern display connection broke:so I ordered a new intern display connection  After installing it, it didnt work too and I observed, that I can connect and work via an external monitor problemless, but when trying to "duplicate" the laptop screen to the monitor it stays black, as the display does... What do you recommend?  Best regards!

I'm suspecting a Motherboard problem. It's the i5-52000u w/ R7 M360 AMD GPU.When powering on, nothing happens for a while. A clicking sound is heard out of one speaker, at approx 1 hertz. Also the screen barely visibly flickers at the same frequency. When problem first noticed, the machine would go through 20-100 of these cycles Before loading up "lenovo" sign, BIOS,etc , then progressively more.I've tried combinations of booting with peripherals (VGA, HDMI, usbs, power cable) plugged in and not.The amount of cycles the laptop goes through before finally loading the Lenovo screen, from which OS boot sequence starts, or accessible BIOS via num+f2, has been increasing, to the point of taking an hour. I've opened her up to see if anything is poorly plugged in, everything works well. The thermal logic chips work ok, the HDD spins ok. But the BIOS and any boot sequence is inaccessible until it randomly starts working. Mostly I have to wait 30 min to an hour, but sometimes it's only 15 minutes. It's probably the Motherboard, but I wanna know what failed/failing?The laptop works flawlessly once the LENOVO logo shows up; i can access BIOS, etc. This happens during a restart, an on- and off.I've tried disconnecting the battery, and pulling the CMOS battery out and letting it sit for like 10 minutes. Kinda sucky. Because it's probably some small voltage regulator or something that's super faulty. At this point, the laptop is approaching three years old. Replacement Mobos are like ... Read more

I used Rufus to create a bootable USB and insalled Ubuntu 16.04, after that it seems that Windows got a trojan (I couldn't start programs as admin, rufus itself could not be started and -internet Explorer was failing).  It was necessary to restore Windows using the lenovo partition.  Windows is fine now, but the option to start from an USB is gone from the BIOS, instead there are two options to start with Windows MBR (one of them is the one I re-configured to start Ubuntu, the other one goes directly into Windows), one for Ubuntu and another one for the net.  I need to boot again from a USB (I need to install another Ubuntu), but I can't get the option back.  How do I add it again to the BIOS menu?

It's a shame.I don't even sure that the issue is cause by the BIOS or not. Besides, The Lenovo solution center "told" me that: I have to run the BIOS upgrade and now it break down the laptop. Hi everybody, I saw many of problems like mine there, but I can't still do anything after several attempts to solve that.  It started two weeks ago.. I did cleaned my hdd, then to keep my device lil a bit update I have updated few drivers. First day, it was able to boot up after 10-15 attempts. (Holding down the power button, disc. battery, ac, reconnect and power button again). Since that time I was unable to get to the BIOS, set Boot order, and I couldn't see even the splash screen. Several days it did the same and the attempts grew up.  Last time it was able to launch, its about 4 days ago, I was watching, film then I felt asleep. When I woke up in the morning, the screen wasn't black but still slighty light(not off, fans were working, cooler was fine). Since that moment I couldn't boot it anymore. I tried reseting CMOS battery, tried to flash bios by using flash disk and Fn+R (laptop did different thing but after 15secs it has turned off).. I think it is frozen BIOS but I haven't clue what to do when I can't simply set the boot order.  Maybe I am wrong and the problem is only in the motherboard. Novo button works but everything I choose there, it ending by black screen again.  Thanks for help, maybe for any solutions how to fix this. I am prepared to buy another motherboard, but if I would be able to repair it on my own, I would happy. Thanks,Jakub.

I waited for about 10 minutes and still nothing happened. I decided to hold the power button and had it shut off. After multiple power ons, still no POST. I read the HMM and the section about BIOS boot block recovery. It said I needed to burn an iso file to a CD and also move the CMOS jumper to pins 2 & 3. Since I dont have a cd, I put the bios flash package on a usb drive instead, plugged it into pc, and also moved CMOS jumper to 2 & 3. Computer turns on and there are two beeps. No display. Does this mean I will have to get a CD?

Dear Members,I am in trouble with my  Idea Pad Z570: I bought it couple of years ago running Windows 7. During the years of usage I had no trouble at all. With Windows 10 beeing released, I upgraded and it starts to make a lot of troubles: Bluescreen directly after boot or sign in, no WiFi, ... all the known stuff. So I decided last week to downgrade to Windows 7. But now, I am even in a bigger trouble:I tried to boot the Windows 7 from DVD and it crashed into Bluescreen saying: Windows Error 0xc0000225Restarting is not helping. So, i tried to go into BIOS to boot from another device, but I do not even get to BIOS or UEFI. So, thats a kind of Deadlock: I cannot boot from Harddisk because Windows Error 0xc0000225 appears and I cannot get into BIOS & UEFI because the Windows error 0xc0000225 comes before getting to BIOS. Hope this description of my current situation is understandable and you guys have a lot of ideas how to fix it. Thanks!TheGooner

Hey guys, so I've gotten myself in a bit of a pickle. Ok, long story short, the hard drive in my Lenovo Y50 crashed and started doing the click of death.  Fed up with dealing with Western Digital, I said "screw it" and drove to the nearest computer store and bought a Kingston 480GB SSD (Which I am LOVING so far). However, because the size of the drive was smaller, my recovery USB refused to restore the operating system, so I had to borrow my friends computer, download the media creation tool and do a clean install of Windows 10 that way. Everything was totally fine, then I remembered I had forgotten something really important. Every single back up I've ever done was with Lenovo Onekey Recovery. A program that I did not have anymore. So obviously my next course of action was to get a recovery key from Lenovo. I called the number, explained the situation, and they sent me the key that I got in the mail today. I plugged it in expecting the rest of the road to be filled with puppies and rainbows... but it's not looking that way. Going into BIOS, it does not see the Lenovo Recovery key as a boot option. I've since made my own clean windows 10 recovery drive than can be booted into fine, but it doesnt recognize the lenovo drive as a bootable UEFI device either. Furthermore, it doesn't matter if I set BIOS to UEFI or Legacy Support... it still doesn't recognize the drive either way. The guy on the phone told me he'd have to send me a windows 8.1 key, si... I just want to ask what happened to my Lenovo H30 Slim Desktop. When I plug the cord, it automatically turns on.But it can't boot to Windows OS. It keeps restarting. There is no display on the monitor, just restarting.Sometimes, it shows the loading screen, but then again, it will restart. However, can enter BIOS, as if there's nothing wrong (it will not restart, etc.) I recently updated the BIOS before this happened. And I see that on the operating system on the BIOS File, it says Windows 8.1. I tried booting Windows 10 and Windows 7 from USB, but no luck. I've done these things:1. Swapped Memory Modules2. Removed All Peripherals (HDD, Connectors, etc.)3. Configure BIOS on all possible options (Secure Boot Off, EUFI or Non-EUFI, etc.)4. USB Boot (Windows 7, 8.1, 10)5. Clear CMOS (Via Jumper and Battery)What I did was update the BIOS to 2016 version. However, I used the American Megatrends Utility and Unchecked Capsule something, because it makes error, and I can't update. Please view my video.https://youtu.be/IsF__WINsPQ
