Saving embedded video at this site..

Q: Saving embedded video at this site..

Hey all,

I know how to save Mpgs and the such easy enough without a download button. Right click the vid, properties, copy the link, paste, whammo. But this one is weird.

That's the site. If you click on New York Giants at the top, it takes you to the video section. I'm trying to download some football videos, and there's no option to download, and the properties data only gets me stuff like this:

There's no file extension. How can I download a file like this to my pc???

Preferred Solution: Saving embedded video at this site..

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Saving embedded video at this site..

I had a quick look at the site, but it was taking too long to load so I didn't get to watch any videos. It looks like they are streaming javascript videos. You can't save them the usual way, you need to download a stream recorder.

Apologies is this is an often asked question, but I'm trying to find the direct link for a streamed podcast from this site - http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2006/gervais-podcast-p1.php

A look at the page source suggests the file is called "yr2006&file=gervais-podcast-1-1.mp3", but how do I detect the full URL?

Thanks for any advice

Hi All

Hope this finds all smiling at life - Question - I received an email from a friend with a Video clip of some description (don't know file type - when I right click, properties is greyed over - clip is from police car video) this is embedded into the main body of the email, I forwarded it on to a friend, my friend asked me how to save the vid file from there, without having to save the whole email, and I can not seem to find an answer to that, from either Google or our Tech Support Guy forum.

Or maybe I have just been using the wrong choice of words for the search, any advice on how to do this, would be gratefully excepted.

While looking for a way to save embedded (as opposed to attached) pictures in Outlook, I came across this site: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/saveembeddedpictures.htm

The link goes to a set of instructions on how to create the macro that will save all embedded pictures in an Outlook email message. (The site owner is a Microsoft MVP for Office Systems ? Outlook, is MCSA + MCSE certified for Windows 2000 and has been working professionally with Exchange and Outlook systems since 1999.)

According to the site, "The code has been tested with Outlook 2003 on Windows XP and Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista but should work on previous versions as well." I did the instructions, and it worked for me on Outlook 2007, Windows 7 64 bit system.

While Microsoft figures out a way to do it easier than copy each picture > paste into Paint > save as a ".bmp", this should help.

Guys, I am at a total loss.

I do not get a "save embedded files" box coming up when I save a page in FP2000 after adding a graphic from my system. Graphics that are stored on the www and have URL's work but graphics stored on my PC do not show up on the published page.

I have been scouring the web for hours trying to find a solution. I have done everything this page suggests on resolving the problem and it has not changed anything.

Does anyone know of a solution? Thank you.

ETA - the pictures show up fine when I click on "preview" at the bottom or on "preview in browser" from the 'file' menu.

How to force IE 11 to ask for saving credentials again for just one web site, after having accidentally sellect not to remember password for that particular site. Please, take into account that:

- I'm totally aware that storing credentials is not a good security practice, but in my particular case this is what I need to do.

- I know that reseting IE or similar approachs will do the job, but doing that I'll lost more tan 70 web sites credentials. I need a solution not involving loose all the web credentials stored.
- I also know that there is way to do the trick "lying" to IE using a modified but similar username, but this only works in some web sites, depending on the kind of login mechanism used. In my particulare case this trick also does not work.

I don't know how this happened but for a week every time I open my msn homepage this Lenovo site opens like a attachment to my home page. How can I eliminate this.

A:Lenovo site embedded in home page

It is because Lenovo pays Microsoft to allow them to have a homepage with their name on it. If you are using Internet Explorer. You would just need to go into Internet Options and change. If you are using another browser. You would go into that browser's settings and set accordingly.

Now if it is resetting, which we call a "HiJack". There are programs like HiJackThis, which will help clear that registry entry.

She connects to the site, pulls information from the DB for editing and when she wants to save it, it says it did, but it just throws it away.

It works on ALL the other computers we test. She is working with the administrator passwod now and I'm stumped! Could it be the mobile unit on the network or the version of IE? She uses 5.0.

Guys, if you have ANY hints please help!

I have a Mac Pro. I am trying to figure out how to create a back up solution, for a large digital movie collection; all of which is stored in iTunes. I'm currently using time machine to an external hard drive. I also have an online back up with CrashPlan. I'm looking to add an off site back up solution. I have a growing 5TB movie collection. So I was thinking of using a 16tb drive mirrored for 8 useable TB. I do not always have a computer at the off site location so I would like the back up to happen a different way. I was told a WD my cloud would do it but I'm not sure how. I was also told an external hard drive plugged into an airport time capsule would also work, but again I don't know how to make it happen. I'm open to better ideas or just info on how to pull off the ways I was already told. Thanks

Hi guys,

I am maintaining a web site where the clients have difficulties in saving changes. For example, they go to a screen where they make all the changes such as tick a few checkboxes and/or a few radio buttons. They then click on the 'Save Changes' button. Instead of being directed to another page, the user stays on the same page and all their changes are reverted back to their original values before the Save Changes button has been clicked. This issue occurs intermittently. It happens for some users and not for others. Sometimes, a user has this issue, and at other times, the same user does not have any issue.

DNS issue? Network issue? Corrupt executable? Web Server issue? Source Code issue?

Appreciate your help on this matter!

A:Intermitten Saving Changes issue on a web site

Web server or code issue. You'll need to have a look at the POST action in web page code. And check the web server logs to see if you are receiving the POST requests. Work or fail, if the POST request was received by the web server, it will be in the logs.

I have an odd problem with video playback when using Safari or Firefox. When a video is embedded in another site (like a forum), it plays fine. If I go to the source (mainly YouTube), I get audio, but no video. This has been consistent over the nine months I've had Windows 7. I've reinstalled Flash several times, trying both the 64 and the 32 bit versions (I do have the 64 bit version of Windows, but I've been confused before as to which to use, so I tried it...). I have no trouble with playback via VLC or such. I have an older Nvidea graphics card.

I've looked for solutions, but I've found no references to video that works while embedded, but not at the source. Almost all the advice I've found is to reinstall Flash. I have no idea if this is an OS issue, or a software issue, but inclined to believe the former, since Firefox does not work either. Any help is appreciated.

Okay, I've searched the internet for answers to this problem and I came across quite a few. I've downloaded the K-lite codecs to no avail. I've tried looking for the wavemapper program that others have suggested and that hasn't worked either; I can't even FIND th wavemapper and I'm pretty sure I'm following the directions on how to get to it pretty good. Finally, I found this solution:

Several reinstall's of flash and some registry edits. Finally found a fix that works. Apparently I wasn't alone quite a few people have had this problem also. In this thread there's also a registry code for XP 32 bit.

But way down in this above thread is the solution for XP x64.

I have a Dell XPS running Windows 7. I prefer browsing with Firefox, and have the latest downloaded (3.6.8).

For a long time, I have been unable to watch video embedded on Facebook. Stuff that is personally uploaded by the user is fine, but embedded from elsewhere, like YouTube is a no go. For a long time, it kept telling me to update my flash player (I think), but even a successful install would not stop that error message. Then it changed (I dont know how long ago) and now if I try to watch video, it just hangs- like it's loading-- but never plays. Most recently it won't allow me to embed my own links into my status updates. It just hangs, too.

it all works fine on IE, so it must be a Firefox problem

I would REALLY appreciate some insight from anyone. any ideas would be helpful. I really do NOT want to use IE, or even have to switch to another browser.

Hi eveyone, I am having a very frustrating problem with my PC, whenever I go onto a website that automatically loads a streaming video in the body of the page this causes my PC to shut down and reboot automatically. I also cant view any web pages that end in .jhtml such as some pages at nick.com.

This happens when using IE7 and firefox web browsers, it happens with or without anti virus software loaded. I have fully reimaged the hard drive and still it happens, I am running XP sp2, I recently updated to window service pack 3 however this caused my PC to crash, and I had to do an OS repair using the XP disk.

Does anyone have a fix for me????

Animations for flash player 9 load and play beautifully on web pages, but as soon as any streaming type of video being within the web page, the it just shuits down seconds after the videos start to play.

A:IE 7 Web Page embedded video shuts down PC

How much RAM do you have installed?

As for "website that automatically loads a streaming video in the body of the page this causes my PC to shut down and reboot automatically." I view this as a security hazard. You should choose when or if you want to load a video, not have it automatically started. This may be due to a security setting in the browser. Check your multimedia and security settings.

It would also be helpful to have your computer specs.

Is there a way to download an embedded video from a webpage even if it doesn't have a download link? At least is there a screen recorder that captures the audio?

A:Is there a way to download an embedded video from a webpage?

Yes well, depends but it should be.

Basiclly what I find useful is to right click near you video and select the option "View Page Source" (in Firefox) or "View Source" (in IE). This will open up a new window with sites code. What you want to do is look for any video extersion such as (.flv, .wmv, .mp4) and so forth and once you find them just copy the whole link with the extersion and paste it to your search box in your browser and select save/open.

This should work most of the times. Here is an example.

I want to download a featured video from SWTOR gaming website. I go on the page where the video is located (http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/game-features) and right click and select "View Page Source".

I look for any video link and I find a .flv format URL. I copy that URL (see below) and paste it to my browser and hit save.

The URL:

Its quite easy, there might be other ways with browser plugins but imho this is the easiet, at least for me.

I sincerely hope that someone can help me with this problem as it is beginning to drive me crazy. When viewing embedded video (ie: YouTube,Google videos, etc.), I'm getting no audio. My audio works fine in other ways, including streaming video that plays in WMP, or when I listen to mp3 files, etc., but just not when playing streaming video from embedded links.

I've searched the internet and tried many 'solutions', like removing and re-installing Flashplayer, making sure that the 'allow third party content to store data on your computer' checkbox was checked in the Flash settings, and I checked that my registry included 'wavemapper' with a set value of 'msacm32.drv'. I uninstalled and reinstalled K-Lite codec pack, uninstalled and reinstalled ffdshow, and ensured that the registry value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\NodeCLSIDs\{95037DA1-6ED9-4B27-8CFF-9AD3DFB0B2F2 was set to 0.

Sadly and frustratingly, none of these things have worked. Any advice would be greatly valued and appreciated.

Thank you.

Using Office 365 Video, I have embedded a Video into our Moodle Virtual Learning Environment. The video says to login as shown in

Hello, I have a slight problem as whenever I try to view an embedded video online the console appears but the screen is black with a constant Loading... sign on it that doesn't seem to go away. I can't figure out the reason for this as the computer I am using for it has the latest java, directx, flash, and shockwave. I have also gone into the control panel and adjusted the security and advanced options to be much more lenient to activex and java. The internet connection of the computer I'm using had a download speed of around 7 gb I believe so that makes it even more vexing. The computer can only boot through Novell if that's of any help to anyone. Can't view embedded video using IE8 as an XP Limited account.

I recently restored an image that had Windows XP SP3 installed. After installing the image, I download and applied windows updates, including Internet Explorer version 8. After installing IE 8 on Windows XP, and installing Adobe Flash 10.1, I tested some websites with embedded video while logged in as an administrator and they worked as expected. However, after logging on as a limited user account, websites that embed a Youtube video do not play the embedded video. I can go to YouTube and see videos, but I can not view Youtube videos that are embedded in a webpage.

who owns that video? Have you contacted the owner of the website about using that video? That would probably be the easiest way.

I was trying to share on facebook a hyperlink of a flash video, when my sound went completely out. I did a sound diagnostic and tried EVERYTHING. Checked to see if it was on any HD sound setting and it wasn't and it said that they were working fine. Also checked the headphone and microphone ports and nothing. Audio Devices are no longer installed and were deleted. I've noticed a lot of other people have had similar problems with the sound going out on their HP Pavillion dv6000 (which is what I have, but the specs say dv6700...) and I want to know if you can help me with this annoying problem. I've done a full system scan for malicious activity with avast!Antivirus, and it came up with nothing which is sort of hard to believe.

Thank you in advance,

The video does not play when I view the web page PGA.com. I think there may be a setting or codec for a media player not installed. Below is the error information.

line: 172
char: 3

error: 'this.getMediaPlayer()' is null or not an object
code: 0
url: http://www.pga.com/.element/apps/xmp/1.0/player.hp.html

Viewing these videos are very important, I teach a golf course and few of my students cannot view either. Please help, email preferred.

Is there a way to stop video on sites from starting automatically? Not just youtube but other sites that have videos on them in various formats. I'm talking about videos on the actual sites, not that play in popup windows media player, etc. Maybe some sort of app or shareware? I'm using Firefox Thanks.

A:How to stop embedded video from automatically playing?

It is an option under Tools/Internet Options/Advanced for Internet Explorer.
Not sure about other browsers though.

I'm having a problem with my powerpoint software. In Powerpoint 2007, I'm trying to run a pre-made instructional slideshow with multiple slides and on a few there are some embedded videos in WMV format.

The problem is that they won't play when clicked on - they remain black and powerpoint crashes. It works on several other computers, however.

Tried reducing hardware acceleration, etc.

Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I've been asked to embed a couple of videos into one of our web pages, http://www.le.ac.uk/ms/study/Management-Politics&Policy.html. The Youtube vid plays when clicked, but the blip/tv (flv file) plays on pageload. I'm not knowledgeable enough to prevent this so that our prospective students can play one, then the other, Any help would be great. Thanks

A:Solved: Prevent auto-run of embedded video in web page

(hope i helped some, otherwise reply back
so the High Praise for Britain's Creative Industries (.wmv file) i assume is what you mean right ? cuz theres only 2 videos on the page

1st one you click & it opens a new page for youtube & plays

2nd one you click it askes you to open with, or save as...

well i dont feel like looking @ your html right now but it seems you put the link in in some weird way, why not go in there, remove the embeded link you have for that 2nd video & put this in (i just put "HIGH PRAISE FOR BRITAIN'S CREATIVE INDUSTRIES" into youtube then took the embed link on the right" )

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GkigciN-mAA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GkigciN-mAA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Here's the setup: you're viewing a page with some text explaining what the youtube video you're going to watch is about, followed by a link to another page which contains the embedded video.

I want that page to fade in gracefully but I can't seem to get that to happen, and I'm wondering if it can be done.

If I use the Page Enter style transition (FrontPage 2002), the youtube video always "pops in," rather than the entire page fading in gracefully, and the sudden change is irritating.

Is there a way I get the page to fade in gracefully? Is there a simple fix for this or do I have to do a little song and dance with iframes, or something else? I've built a lot of website pages using tools like FP 2002, but I do not get deeply into using relatively advanced programming techniques.

I'm just starting to fool around with youtube, basically making some simple pages with embedded video so I'd like to find and learn a few tips to make the most of using them in this way.

Thanks for reading this and for any help you can offer.

This might be a sad way to fix it, but maybe make it so that you need to scroll down to see the Youtube movie.

Here's what's going on. Before my problem happened, I installed Kaspersky antivirus software on my Windows 7 desktop computer to help deal with the choppy flash player media and to help speed up my computer since my normal antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials didn't do the job. When that didn't work, I uninstall the software and I was unable to reinstall MSE. (I subsequently installed Avast after I did the MSE troubleshooting for installation failures). To my guess, it causes the following problem to happen. (Or I may be wrong on that one)

You see, last Sunday as usual, I was surfing the internet and I wanted to watch a clip of a basketball game on Yahoo Sports. When I clicked on it, the video ignored my commands as my pointer doesn't change into the hand symbol. When I wanted to play an embedded youtube video on my tumblr, it did the exact same thing of not playing the video as I directed. Here's the kicker, when I pressed the fullscreen icon on the embedded youtube player, it starts playing the video and when i double click, it did its respective function of increasing the video to fullscreen with the original controls of play/pause, volume, and rewind/fastforward intact. However, when I put it back to normal screen, the problem continues to persist. On other flash embedded videos from different sites, similar incidents occur only except that the fullscreen function didn't play the video and the embedded flash videos just did nothing w...
