I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello,I can't seem to find specific information about this pc related to this topic. I have a client that wants to have a hdmi port and dual monitor installed. I looked everywhere in the bios settings, I tried using a usb-to-vga adapter & and vga, dvi-d cable & vga (this mirrors both monitors, but cannot extend the display). When I changed the settings on the bios to use the built in graphics, it gives me the option to enable multiple monitors but cannot use my pcie graphic card. If i select to use the pcie graphic card, i cannot use the built in graphic ports or the usb-to-vga adapter (it does not see the other monitor) and also if I use the dvi adpater and the vga it mirrors the display. I'm guessing that the bios does not support dual graphic cards but thought of asking here. The reason the client wants this is to be able to connect a projector using hdmi and to have dual monitors. Any information will be greatly appreaciate it. Thank you.

I?m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is not booting to Windows and hanging at Lenovo Logo and the issue persists even after performing Flee-Power step. Hence, I suggest to perform BIOS reset and check if the issue persists. Below are the steps to perform BIOS reset:

To access BIOS menu turn OFF the Laptop and press the NOVO button located beside power button.
Then to reset the BIOS to its defaults click on ?F9? Key and select YES.
Now click on ?F10? Key to save the changes that are done in BIOS, the computer will automatically restart.

The first thing I look at if a machine hangs at startup is the USB ports.  Physical damage can create shorts which cause these symptoms.  Check for bent pins or a tongue broken off.

I have a lenovo g50 70 with an i3 processor and i have a question: how can i find if i have the amd graphic card in my laptop? Is nowhere to be seen in device manager. I only have the intel graphics. On specs it says that i have a dexicated graphic. But after installing the drivers, nothing came out. I did install drivers in proper order. Is there any way to see if i have that graphics(amd)? Where is located on motherboard? Or do i have a slot for dedicated graphic card on the motherboard?

Hi keshavshiyal,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You may use your serial number here on the parts look up page to get your OEM motherboard part number.
Using the part number to order or search online from other resellers in your location would help.

You can also call in  1-800-3000-9991 or to check here on where to buy as option.

Here is your hardware manual for reference as it includes FRU list to match the part number with the disassembly guide.

The file is good and played o.k before the update.I am using the latest Conexant driver and all seems to be o.k. In the device manager. To overcome this , I need to reinstall the Conexant driver after each update, which is not acceptable (never had to mess around in any of the previous laptops I had).Any suggestions ?

hi Lior11,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You can do this to exclude device driver from Windows Updates

Open a run box (Windows key + R)
Type in sysdm.cpl   hit enter
Then click on Advanced System Settings

You should have a windows with Tabs / Go to Hardware TAB and click on Device Installation settings

Now click on "No let me choose what to do"
Never Install driver software from Windows Update then save changes.

Hope this helps
Cheers!

A:Lenovo H515 and 505, graphics card

Hi DonMaidment,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You will need to look on two things

- Compatible Graphics
Here are some compatible graphics adapter from the Lenovo H515 Maintenance Manual
If you are going to purchase a Video card that's not on this list, I suggest you do a test First before purchasing it as I'm not too sure if other Graphics model will work.

- Power Supply
Your Power Supply must match the Videocard Requirement,
or else you will need to upgrade the power supply as well.

Hello, I've been having a problem where my graphics card is disabled for my computer and I don't know why. I've tried downloading different/older drivers, I've tried disabling and then reenabling the graphics card, I've looked around the internet and nobody seems to have the a solution for this problem. When I go to the device management menu on my computer it says that the device (the graphics card) is completely updated, enabled, and working properly. But when I go on the Crimson menu for AMD, it tells me that it is disabled. Whenever I try to play a video game on my computer and I go to the graphics options menu, the video game tells me that it is using the integrated graphics instead of the AMD graphics and I have no option to switch. I'm attaching several screen shots to this post so that you can better see my point. Is there any way this could be fixed without me having to send my computer back to lenovo? I am running Windows 10. Thank you very much for your time.  These are the pictures

Hi all, I have recently purchased the Lenovo AIO 700 23" which comes with an NVidia Geforce GT 930 graphics card, along with the intel integrated graphics card. (As seen here: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/lenovo-ideacentre-aio-700-23-8-touch... ) I understand that the RAM and hardrive can be upgraded; can the graphics card be upgraded as well? Any help would be great, Thanks.

I have a Netgear dualband N Router. I have three computerson my wireless network , a Lenovo G500 and two Toshibas laptops.  The Toshibas each run WiFi at 135Mbps. If I connect the Lenovo G500 to the router with an ethernet cable it runs at 100.    The router is 15 feet from Lenovo G500.  The  Lenova G500 on Wifi runs at 65Mbps or slower.  Sometimes only at 48Mbps.  The speed occurs even if it is the only computer actrive on network . As a test, I installed a Belkin N wireless adapter on the Lenovo G500 and connected on Wifi 2 and it connects at 135 Mbps.  It is only the Lenovo Wireless adapter that slows the G500 down. How can I increase speed of Wifi on Lenovo?

A:Lenovo G500 WiFi is slow

hi Lenovog500,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Can you try this and let me know what happened.
Click on the wireless signal at the lower right corner of the screen.
On the list of wireless signals, rightclick on your wifi and choose "View connection properties"
Go to this tab and change the AES to TKIP, then hit ok and Check if the connection of the wireless will change.

Hope this helps
Cheers!
