Bluetooth driver for Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 but no bluetooth hardware?

Q: Bluetooth driver for Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 but no bluetooth hardware?

Does anyone knows whether the Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 laptop has a built-in bluetooth device in it? Reading from articles on the internet, I don't see any information regarding this laptop's particular model having a built-in bluetooth device in it but has a bluetooth driver and suite ready for the download at the acer main site.

Preferred Solution: Bluetooth driver for Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 but no bluetooth hardware?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi, I was wondering if the Acer Aspire R14 model R5-471T 534x Intel Core CI5-6200U dual-coe has built in BlueTooth 4, and if it supports WiFi AC and what is the physical size of the SDD, is it 2.5" . The reason is that I want to buy this model but only if it supports BlueTooth 4 or 4.1, and it also supports WiFi ac plus a,b.g,n of course and also I want to upgrade the SSD to minimum 500GB instead of the 256GB.
Look forward to hear back from you ASAP.

Having a few problems with my bluetooth through windows 8 64 bit on an acer aspire v3-571. Wouldn't usually post on somewhere like here but I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Main problems are with actually getting a bluetooth driver to install but if you have the time to read the rest would be much appreciated.

Just bought a new Airplay and bluetooth speaker, (cambridge audio minx air200) great for itunes but I also use spotify so the bluetooth connectivity would be really usefull as well. I've used a few other devices to connect via bluetooth and they work fine so no issue with the speaker. When I use my laptop to connect to the speaker via bluetooth though it either doesn't recognise the speaker or connects then states not connected after 5-10 secs.

I thought the only thing this could be is a bluetooth driver issue so I've downloaded a windows 8 bluetooth driver from softpedia Acer Aspire V3-571 Atheros Bluetooth Driver 8.0.0000.0206 for Windows 8 64 bit Free Download
I've extracted to the desktop yet when I try to run the file windows brings up the window to allow the program to make changes, I click yes and nothing happens.

Not sure what to do... Thanks if you've read through all that and I'd appreciate any help as otherwise it looks like my next step may have to be a trip to the computer shop which will be ?50 upwards

If it didn't come with BT, it means the Wifi card in the laptop doesn't have BT. You would need to change the Wifi card to one that does. Yes, you can use a bluetooth dongle.

i just purchased an acer aspire 8730g with built-in bluetooth adaptor, but after installing windows 7 ultimate x64 it is no longer detected for some reason.
it worked just fine before the reformat and installation, so i dunno what is going on here.
i've tried to install the bluetooth drivers from the acer website to no avail. i keep getting an error stating that no bluetooth device is attached, but my bluetooth usb dongle works just fine. i know i could use the dongle but that would defeat the purpose of having it built in.
this is what i would like to know:
1) why isn't the built in adaptor being recognized
2) where can i find a schematic for the build of my laptop to disconnect and reconnect the dongle manually
3) do i have any other options in terms of how to fix this problem, other than using my usb dongle

Hi, I have recently started using my Acer Aspire v5-571 laptop after leaving it inactive for a few months at least. Today I tried connecting my Beats Pill speaker to the laptop via Bluetooth but it hasn't ended well. I know it isn't a problem with the speaker as it works perfectly fine with my iPad. I have also updated Bluetooth drivers to version which I got from the Acer website for this specific model laptop. When I open Bluetooth in the PC settings app it just says paired. I have clicked forget this device and tried pairing the devices again and it starts to connect. However, when I open the desktop, in the taskbar is an icon that looks like a hands free ear piece. It seems to be loading something and then the speaker goes back to the paired but not connected state that it was in before. Sometimes if I turn off Bluetooth and then turn back on, it will show a quick driver error message even though I have latest driver updates.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there I did a clean install of Windows 10 several months back. All is working perfectly fine. However, Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager (including when hidden devices are shown):  This hasn't bothered me up to now, because I never had a requirement to use Bluetooth since I purchased this laptop back in 2012. However, now I do... 1)  Have tried installing the Atheros Bluetooth 8 and 8.1 drivers from Acer Support>Drivers & Manuals. Still no luck (FYI there are no Windows 10 drivers supported for V3-571) 2) Because of the above I tried installing the driver for V3-572 (some people have recommended elsewhere for other issues with Acer models not supported with W10 drivers) - unfortunately this did not work. I installed the below only.  All the above install did was update my wireless network adapter driver? Bluetooth still did not appear in device manager. Can anyone help? I must add that Bluetooth does not appear via the W10 menu either:  But greyed out Bluetooth option does appear via notifications>actions menu pop up (unable to activate, probably because there's no apparent driver according to device manager):  I know that that the obvious answer will be "Your Acer Aspire model is not supported with drivers for W10, therefore there may be some compatibility issues", but surely someone out there must have my model (or older), be using W10 and still be able to use Bluetooth? Many thanks... So I got an Apple bluetooth keyboard through the post today, and was really excited to start using it. However, when trying to add the device by going Start>Devices and Printers>Add a Device, my computer doesn't detect the keyboard at all.

hello, i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right forum so I chose the category that seemed most relevant. I have an Acer Aspire One (D)257 netbook that I bought from Wal-Mart and i'm wondering if it has BlueTooth built into it by default. I'm not asking if it's BlueTooth-capable, i'm asking if my model contains an ACTUAL, PHYSICAL BT module internally. Because if it doesnt, then i will need to buy a BT usb chip that plugs into USB.

So if anyone here has my model and has BT working on it then please reply. I downloaded the Atheros BT driver for my model from the Acer site, and i've tried running the .exe files installed, but nothing ever happens. i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this working without needing to buy an external chip, so i figure it would really help if i knew whether or not a BT module is present inside my netbook.

I have read several sites that say my model is BT capable and that it's an "optional" feature but beyond that i'm puzzled. I even called Acer, but couldnt get a clear answer on whether the module is present or how to get this working. I've also tried turning on my BT devices and then using the BT option under Control Panel\Hardware\Devices and Printers and then the "Add a device" option but Windows never finds anything.

I need this for talking on skype, ventrilo, teamspeak, business conferencing, and for having online chats with the other students in my university classes. I hate using headsets that have to ... Read more

Hey guys,

So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.

default (after startup): WiFi on / BT off
first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off

and repeat.

I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)

Windows 8 was able to install all my Function Keys so I'm going to assume this will be the case for others. Good luck

I got my Yoga 920 in Jan2018 in Las vegas. Something wrong with its bluetooth since July, the bluetooth was switched off automatically (my mouse is connected to the PC via bluetooth), then no bluetooth hardware can be found in my PC. Then after reset and BIOS reboot, it will be ok. But such kind of things will happen again.....   Then is August 2018, I got my book repaired in HK service center (Case No.180980012). I was told that the bluetooth moudel (the hardware) was changed and the problem was solved. It is ok for 1-2 weeks after that.  Then the same situation came out again.  Now i am frustrated because the reset and BIOS reboot does not work. Which means I can not use my bluetooth any longer. The only respond I can get from Lenovo is that "please send your PC to our service cenrter..."  OMG, I have sent it there before but seems the problem can not be solved!!  Anybody who can let me know what the hell is going on with my PC??Also, another thing which makes me more fructrated is that there is no service for my PC in China mainland and the nearest for me is Hongkong!!  So redicluous!!!

System Information: Asus Notebook UX303L, Windows 10, Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition

Okay, I've been working on this for awhile and have tried a million things. I'm going back to square one so pretend I haven't tried anything yet.

Here is the problem.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.

When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not. After about 3 days with no ... Read more

A:BSOD due to bluetooth or wifi driver/hardware

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\M... Read more

I have the 16 GB, dual hard disk, i7-6500u, 2560x1440 version.Everything is from official HP downloads.I am experiencing 3 issues:1) the most important: very often, everything stops working (no mouse, no keyboard, ...) for about two seconds, then the screen goes black, then, after one second, everything recovers and a message states that the video driver crashed and was recovered. If I open Facebook in Chrome and show a picture, a vertical line of random pixel appears about 1.5 cm from the right border of the screen. If I open Firefox, almost always I get artifacts on the tabs in the upper part of the window.2) the most boring: my bluetooth mouse stop working all of a sudden. Turning off and on the mouse doesn't fix. I can fix this issue only by resetting the PC or by putting it in standby mode by closing the lid.3) the least frequent: wireless connection is dropped while other devices continue accessing the router flawlessly multiple times in a raw.Is this a driver issue or is the motherboard that needs a fix?
