I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have the same issue with my new E560 running Windows 7 Professional.  It occurs during the power on process but not always. As far as I can tell, the camera still works fine with applications requiring it's use. The Integrated Camera Preview Manager application is actually the "Monitor.exe" process in Task Manager. A search for monitor.exe shows that it is located in a few places in the system and especially in a few places in folders prefixed by AppHang_Monitor.exe_xxxxxxx.... with the dates and times the problem occured. There is a Report.wer file in each of these folders and they appear to be error message logs. There are also folders prefixed by NonCritical_Monitor.exe_.... with dates and times the problem occured.  These folders have three files - appcompat.txt, Report.wer and TabFFF1.tmp. Here is the content of one of them.  Perhaps someone can decipher what it all means ?What does this Monitor.exe do?  Is it really needed? If it is prevented from running during boot up, will it cause any problems? =======contents of sample Report.wer in AppHang_Monitor.exe...========Version=1EventType=AppHangB1EventTime=130984471809628160ReportType=3Consent=1ReportIdentifier=1ee5f200-c5a2-11e5-8847-507b9d971fd9IntegratorReportIdentifier=1ee5f201-c5a2-11e5-8847-507b9d971fd9WOW64=1Response.type=4Sig[0].Name=Application NameSig[0].Value=Monitor.exeSig[1].Name=Application VersionSig[1].Value=2.3.2.39Sig[2].Name=Application TimestampSig[2]... Hi, I got a ThinkPad E460 running Windows10 Pro.  The integrated camera was working before but when I tried to use Skype for the first time in a few months this morning, video didn't show.  Then I ran the Camera app in Win10 and it gave me the error code 0xA00F4271(0x80070005) even though it was shown as "working" in Device Manager.  The camera still doesn't work after deleting it in Device Manager and letting Win10 reinstall by itself, updating the camera driver, checking the privacy settings, etc.  I don't know if this is related or not, but the integrated mic was missing in Device Manager before I found out that the camera was not working.  I updated the audio driver and the mic started working again. Is there anything else that I can do to fix the camera?  Thanks in advance!

Some AV Security software, such as Kapersky AV, will sometimes block the camera access, so check to see if yours has such a feature. Other thing to try is to completely remove the existing camera driver to see if it has become corrupted.   In windows, just uninstalling and reinstalling will not install a clean copy, unless you make sure to check the box during the uninstall to "Delete the driver software for this device".    If left unchecked, it will just reuse the existing driver, and if already the latest version, attempts to reinstall the same driver again will not always replace all files since they already exist. Also make sure to install all of the latest Chipset drivers, or better yet, run the Lenovo's ThinkVantage System Update (TVSU) and update all of the drivers to the latest version.      Sometimes it seems to find updates that fix issues that manually updating misses.. I would hold of on any BIOS updates except as a last resort, however, since they sometimes go bad, and when they do, they go really bad and can leave your system bricked.. ThinkVantage System Update (TVSU)https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht080136 Good Luck,

Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 11e :Integrated Camera ( Webcam ) doesn't show up on Device Manager List I've just recently bought a reaconditioned laptop, Lenovo Thinkpad  Yoga 11e (20DA) wich originally had Windows 8.1 Pro installed but sold with Windows 10 Pro installed. I've changed the HDD for a 120GB SSD (i do really recommend this) and installed from scrath Windows Pro N that automatically got updated to 1709 Anniversary version. Hello, I have a new T530 with Windows 8 OS. I am having trouble using the integrated camera. It functions neither in the Windows camera app nor in Skype. In both cases I get a picture with a gray background and a camera with a line through it. In Device manager, the camera does appear, is enabled, and the drivers are up to date. After looking through other threads, I tried checking whether the camera was plugged in and indeed it was. When using Skype and I set the camera to on (Skype did detect the camera), I still got the gray no camera image, but the green light on the camera itself turned on.I also tried using Fn+F6 to check settings. Lenovo settings opens, but the when I click the camera settings Icon, the screen loads a blank page that says "Camera" in the top right and has a back button (left pointing arrow) in the top left hand corner. The back button does not seem to work and I must change the window to something else in order to exit/close settings.I tried manually installing both camera drivers and "power management" ("energy management"?) drivers. Neither of this solved either of these issues. Please help me to resolve this problem. Thank you.

Hi, euterpenc

I would make sure that the BIOS is up to date in the system. The current BIOS for your system is 2.07 and can be found here. Also, I would ensure that the chipset drivers are up to date, and those can be found here.

Hope it helps, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Hello everyone, my problem is: my integrated camera doesn't function. I tried to install the driver, but if i start to install the driver, it never show up, that it will start to install, only that it unpacked it and after that it vanished. so i searched in my device manager, but my camera isnt shown. after hours of searching in the internet, i tried all possibilitys. 1. i tried to look, if the cable of the monitor/camera is really connected to the mainboard (my varanty is already over since 1 year) 2. i looked in my bios: the camera is enabled 3. i tried that esc+fn or other possible key-combinations to activate the camera 4. i also called the support and they told me, that i have to go to a service center, so they could maybe take a look on it, but since the varanty is not there anymore, i will have to pay. i cant remember when the last time was, that i could use my camera. but at that time it functions without problems.my system is: win 7 ultimate, 64bit i hope, you can help me.(and sorry for my bad english)best regards!

Hi! My mother bought this laptop a couple of years ago, and after a year and a half or so it started having problems with some software (you know how mothers are!), so she gave it to a neighbour of hers so that he would format it and reinstall Windows. Originally, the laptop came with Windows 8, and for reasons I don't know, this neighbor deleted all the HDD partitions and install Windows 7 instead; that means you have no way of performing a factory reset. From that moment on, the camera stopped working; it doesn't even appear in the device manager. All other features - audio, video, WiFi, etc. - work properly; it's just the camera which has the problem. So my mother talked to me about this, and I've been trying to solve this issue without success. I tried installing Windows 10; nothing. I tried installing Windows 8.1; nothing. I tried installing the camera drivers, but it says there's nothing to install the driver to. I've read that some people recommend an activation of the camera via BIOS, but I'm unable to find such an option in the BIOS of this computer. Others recommend a Fn + Esc sequence that, to be honest, doesn't even do anything. The thing is that I'm getting crazy with this stuff, and that's why I'm asking you people whether you can help me with this. I'll appreciate any comments regarding this. Thank you in advance!!

Hi everyone, I have an issue with the display connectivity on my Lenovo E460: When I connect my Lenovo via HDMI with an external screen it works perfectly well. This means that I have an output on my integrated display, as well as on my external screen. But when I disconnect the HDMI screen, the integrated display turns black. But while it's black it's also flickering. That means that now and then I can see the desktop for a few milliseconds, and then it turns black again. The flickering happens primary when I move the mouse. The remaining time it's just a black screen. I also had the behaviour when Windows 7 was installed. But the problem solved itself after a while when Windows 7 suggested a Desktop Window Manager update in the Windows Update section. But now I upgraded to Windows 10 and the problem returned. I installed all driver I could find on the Lenovo homepage. I also made sure it's the latest version. When this didn't help I installed the official drivers on the Intel homepage. I did the same for the AMD drivers, because there is also an AMD graphic card on board. In addition I experimented a little bit with AMD beta drivers, but the effect remained the same. Technical specifications:- Intel Core i7-6500U (Intel HD 520)- AMD R7 M360- Windows 10 Pro N (1703) with Media Feature Pack installed I would be grateful for any tips and solution you can offer! Best regardshgt432

Can you pinpoint when/how the malfunction happened?
Did it happen suddenly or did it progessively get worse over time?

I ask to see if there is a point that we might be able to roll back to.

Were there any changes made before the camera stopped working?

My webcam recently started playing up and I've tried many supposedly 'solutions' and none have worked so far. I seen a post on here however and he had a similar problem and you guys managed to successfully help him but with a different Laptop and therefore different drives.

I pretty much only use my webcam for Skyping, and well, I need it.. and I don't want to fork out money for a USB webcam, since I HAVE ONE ON MY LAPTOP. So, here is the problem. It starts off when I realise it's stopped working and Skype tries to swap between the two options it has labelled under "webcam devices", these options are "HP Truevision" and "Cybercam webcam splitter". After I go into options to try change the webcam, which by the way it is still differentiating between the two, once every 2 seconds; windows also supplies me with audio telling me that this is happening and it happens to be the same noise which happens upon disconnecting and reconnecting my USB mouse. I have tried 'System Restore' multiple times, uninstalling both drivers and re-installing them, attempting to update the drivers (apparently they are), updated Skype and continuously searched the web to find a solution, alas... Hello! I've been having trouble being in proper lighting with my integrated camera on this laptop. I went in through Camera and tried to adjust settings, but there is nothing that appeals to "auto adjust darkness"... I'm always looking like i'm in the dark, even if i'm in very good lighting. Am i missing something? Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much,L

Hello. My integrated camera on my lenovo laptop stopped working last night .. It doesnt do anything when I try to connect to it on skype etc., it just has a grey screen. I tried reinstalling the drivers but that didnt work and now I dont know what to do.

A:HELP! my integrated camera wont work :(

Its very possible that the camera itself has had it if the drivers didnt help.i dont think those are worth fixing so getting an external webcam will be a lot cheaper to use.

Hi. Where can I change the property settings for an integrated camera? Specifically, where can I change the autofocus property?

I recently started using the camera built into my notebook (I don't have any other cameras). Sometimes the camera zooms in and out automatically. I'm told I can fix this by turning off autofocus. However, I can't find such a setting.

I opened Control Panel - View scanners and cameras. But that just gives me an empty window (see attachment). If I click "Scan Profiles", I get an error "No scanners were detected....". The Refresh button does nothing and the Add Device button is for adding a not-integrated device.

If I go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers, there is nothing camera related there. I don't know where else to look. Thanks for your help.

(Not sure if this is the right subforum. Sorry if it isn't.)

A:Turn off autofocus on integrated camera

The webcam settings should be available through a systray icon.
A right-click or double-click on that icon should lead you to video
settings where you would find an option to disable autofocus.

Typically, such settings would also be available thru the Start >
Programs menu.

Is there anyway I can use the integrated camera to make recordings? I don't see any software to use.
I want to be able to use the camera to make small youtube videos.
Any help appreciated

A:Inspiron One 2330 Integrated Camera

You should be able to.  If you have Windows 8.x or 10, go to the Microsoft Store and look for video recording software.  I think youtube also has a built in recording thing using flash or HTML5.

Every since the imposed Windows 10 upgrade occurred, the integrated camera in my Lenovo Thinkpad E545 has had a blue tint. Anyone have a fix?

A:Integrated camera has blue tint

Try looking in your camera app's settings and checking the white balance. That is a common cause for blue tint. If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can think of is to try cleaning the camera. Hope this helps!

This hasn't worked since the Windows 10 update. I have tried updating drivers, rebooting, turning settings on or off in the lenovo settings "app" and it just doesn't show up. This is extremely frustrating seeing as I have searched the internet for a solution and so far nothing seems to be working.
