I recently got the 4k version of the yoga chromebook: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/yoga/yoga-c-series/Yoga-Chromebook/p/88YGCC61096 Part number: 81JX0008UX I've noticed that occasionaly with this laptop my pointer will lag insanely and not respond to small inputs for multiple minutes at a time.  At the time it occurs there isn't high CPU load or memory load. It occurs with the touchpad and the mousepad. It occurs when I do and do not have any peripherals attached. Closing the lid, letting the laptop sleep, then waking it back up has helped once so far. I usually just hard reboot as a workaround. I've seen review articles mention freezing as well, which were chalked up to running linux apps, which I did not run when this started, but are running now: https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/02/22/lenovo-yoga-chromebook-c630-4k-review/ I'm running Version 73.0.3683.88 (Official Build) (64-bit), and this has occurred across multiple verison of Chrome OS. It first occured the first time I started using the laptop and signed into my account. What's the support option here since I've already wiped the chromebook? Must it be a hardware problem?

Hi everyone! Just got the new Yoga C640 laptop with i7 10510U and I have to say I am pretty dissapointed!  The fan on this thing is very noisy with high pitch turbine like sound, but the worst part is the behaviour of it. It runs most of the time and sometimes goes into annoy-the-hell-outta-everyone mode when it starts going on and off every other second for like a minute or two. Additionally, CPU easily reaches 90 C before it throttles when browsing and doing other light activities. Since I am new to Yoga line, wanted to ask the community if this is normal behaviour, particularly fan turning on and off every other second? Initially I though i7 is to blame for this, but the new intel line runs very low on power and has the same TDP as i5, so that should not be the cause.  If anyone else recently got this laptop, can you confirm if your fan also makes high pitch noise when running? Thinking returnign this laptop but wanted to hear your thoughts first. I recently bought yoga c640 and was told i would recieve a style with it which i didn't. I can't find any clear answers elsewhere on what pens are compatible on this device however i do have a "lenovo pen settings" software already on the laptop. So are there any stylus' compatible with the yoga c640 that i can use?

Hey ,I bought the EKSA USB-C hub off Amazon and it works just fine. However, everytime I plug it into my laptop, my fans go to abnormal noise levels. They go from 0% to 60% with a CPU usage of 5%. I dont charge my device through the USB hub, bc afaik my model doesnt support this. Has anybody encountered anything similar and knows how to solve this?

After last BIOS update this is the message I read:  " The battery installed is not supported by the system and will not charge. Please replace the battery .... " . The device is new, is charging only 60% and  is discharging very fast. I didn't find any possibility,  to repair,  to reinstall or downgrade BIOS.

Hi everyone, i own this laptot since about 3 weeks. I have no problems in using windows 10 (except for a strange high RAM usage also in idle like 50% or so). I wanted to install linux for developing, and i tryied to boot manjaro linux. Here comes first problems, the same usb-key was working fine (talking about linux live distro) on a lenovo C930 and another 2-in-1 laptop with 8th gen intel core processors. I made to boot with just a single very old usb key. When in the live distro i had several video glitches, non working mouse, keyboard and obviously touchscreen. I could only use the terminal, wich was working fine. I then tryied booting linux mint, where the system worked much better except for touchscreen still, and most importantly network-card. Now i'm using a VM, but i really want to install linux in dual boot. I've already disable both fast boot and secure boot in my bios and this made some pen-drives to be recognized when booting, but on the usage i have several problems. I haven't tryied yet to completly install a linux distro, both because in my first choice (manjaro KDE) i simply couldn't proceed through the installation, and in mint because of non-working netcard. I don't think is fault of the pc, because another C730 i see work really well with linux. I bought a Yoga C640 with a 10th gen i7 processor today, I owned multiple surface pros, surface go, an ipan and a wacom cintiqCOMMON VARIABLE: pen. This device looks great, feels solidBUT: pen writes fine on the left side of teh screen only, and as you go the right third of the screen, an dmore so on the upper right QUARTER of the screen, it has SEVERE gitters, wobbles, and sometimes the lines will cut (inking interruption). It also randomly draws horizonal lines across a part or the whole of the screen.  please help. see the attached photo for illustraiton. N.B. using the pen in the box. N.B. fully updated using windows updates as well as the lenovo utility updates, and even checked online.  Thank you in advance.

Hey, I was hoping I could get some help from multiple sources. I had left a message with the people who make Avatar computers, but was hoping for a quicker response from here considering my computer is also Windows 8 with NVIDIA graphics.
I've recently been having random freeze problems. This started about a month, month and a half ago. It does not occur every day, but every so often I will either be in-game (Team Fortress 2 or Guild Wars 2) or exiting a game and my desktop will completely freeze. I cannot access my Task Manager or Alt-F4 out. It comes down to having to having to press the power button and wait a few seconds for it to restart normally.
This also happened while I had Steam Friends List open along with Skype. I walked away for a few minutes and as soon as I got back everything would be unresponsive and freeze.
It happened again today when exiting Mass Effect. Everything froze up and upon trying to restart the computer would not cooperate for an hour and a half/two hours. My brother fidgeted with it a little to try and run the System Recovery disk for Avatar/Windows 8 and the computer kept complaining it was not the right disk. I really don't understand why my computer has been doing this unless it's a problem with the graphics card maybe, or the manufacturer.
I got this computer back in June of this year and only recently has it been doing this.
I was just hoping I could get a little more advise/help here while I wait for a phone call back from Avatar.

Run ActiveScan online virus scan:

Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button.
A new window will open...click the Check Now button.
Enter your Country.
Enter your State/Province.
Enter your e-mail address and click send.
Select either Home User or Company.
Click the big Scan Now button.
If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it.
It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan.

Every couple minutes my entire PC will freeze. Nothing major happens when it does, either.

I will be either gaming, programming Java, or browsing the internet when for periods of about 10 seconds or less the mouse will jerk around (as if updating every half second), audio will skip at the same rate, and video will freeze as well. After the 10 seconds or so, everything is back to normal.

Opening Task Manager and allowing it to gather data has showed that nothing spikes during these freezes.

I have updated Graphics Drivers through Steam (GeForce GTX 640) and the problem started most likely around two weeks ago. It hasn't really been a problem, and I assumed since I was running fairly intense games that it was just a hitch I would have to deal with. Now it invades even the most simple tasks.

I have read that this may be a problem with Windows Updater, but the solution I am always directed to is to run the troubleshooter. That rarely works, and didn't in this case.

When I get the chance, I will record some random gameplay with Fraps and see if it can pick it up so I can give a video example.

A computer that freezes is caused by overheating or a failing or under powered Power Supply Unit.
Shut down the computer and take off the side and clean out all dust and blow out all fans with a can of compressed air. Take a look at the label of the PSU and report the Make, Model# and Wattage. Start the computer and make sure all fans are spinning.
Download Speccy and check your temperatures when doing intensive games.

Hello to you all. I hope someone can advise on what to do. My computer freezes from time to time, it really hangs when I go to start button-- all programs. I have taken all the unneeded programs off my start menu, ran adaware, spybot, virus scan and all came up clean. I defragged. I posted my hijack log on the security board last week and have not gotten a response yet. I have XP. Any ideas?

Random freezes may be caused by bad ram. Run memtest overnight and see what it finds:

When opening pages with internet videos, occasionally my entire screen will freeze with a couple of odd exceptions: the mouse still moves but doesn't highlight anything and the computer appears to behave as normal, i.e the movements and clicks of the mouse can manipulate the (now playing, sound only obviously) video (pausing, skipping etc.).

Every time this happens, forcing shutdown and rebooting causes the computer to then behave normally, but obviously this is not ideal. The freezing happens fairly infrequently, once every couple of days or so, sometimes more often, and i don't have to actually be viewing the page when it happens, for example youtube changing to the next video in a music playlist open in a background tab can trigger it. Anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Hello all,

I've been having problems with my computer freezing up or occasionally getting a BSOD and it's been getting more frequent. I'm really not sure where to start so I thought I would come here for some guidance and assistance. It's happening at different times, sometimes when gaming, sometimes watching Netflix, sometimes just web browsing. I was thinking it might be a hardware or heating issue, but my temps seem to be okay on my video card and CPU. I'm happy to provide any information that is needed, but to get it started:

Recently upgraded my PC to Vista 64 bit Business. Have been getting alot of screen freezes and been forced to reboot everytime. This usually happens when i'm browsing internet and never occurs when i'm in game (MW2). Also had a few BSOD's as well.

Hello Dr Horrible,
Most of these seem to be caused by the USB driver, that is where i would start.
Go to Device Manager and un-install all you USB drivers, reboot and new drivers will be installed.

You also need to address the other problems too. go to the MB makers site and see if there are updated drivers for them.

After so many BSOD's the system files can become corrupt.
Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc/scannow press enter and let it scan, if errors are found you will need to scan again until clean.

To eliminate the memory remove all but one stick of ram and test, test in all slots used, then test the other stick/sticks of ram in all slots used.

Also, can you upload your last couple of dump files, there is nothing like the originals for more information.
Go to C > Windows > Minidump > zip up the files and upload them with your next post. You may have to save them to your desktop first.

Hey guys, I've had this computer for a couple of years and it's always had a problem with freezing and BSOD.

Sometimes I can go a few hours without any problems, but sometimes it'll freeze up after only a few minutes. I've got no idea what causes this.

It has frozen once and BSODed once while I've been writing this. When it BSODed, it got to 80% of whatever it was doing and then froze (as you can see in the pic I'll upload).

I've also downloaded the Windows Seven Forums Diagnostics Tool and will upload the results of that, too.

Please let me know what I can do to work out this issue, thanks!

Enable Small Memory Dump following Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

Based on the bugcheck on the picture, recommend you follow and complete the steps given below:1. If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop. Reset any changed values back to default and reset/clear CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS. Uninstall any overclocking tool as these can also be a reason of blue screens.

2. Uninstall your current antivirus software. It can be a cause of BSOD very often. Please remove it with its removal tool and use Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. Malwarebytes is a great combination with it. Go through this thread for more info.

3. Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log

4. Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to check windows for integrity violations. Run it up to three times to fix all errors. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.

5. Make scans with Kaspersky TDSskiller and ESET Online scanner.

6. Perform a Clean Start up, this will help avoid any problematic applications from bugging the system.

A photo colleague dumped his Chromebook on my lap (gratis) with some [email protected]#$ comments ... I will not comment as to why, and I thought this could replace my clunky W540 for pre made portfolio/slide or video presentations. OK, here is the deal.  The Cloud storage is nice, but I'm off on the road with no WiFi, at a client's house. Last time I tested the Chrome Cloud, the presentation 'stuttered' and the flow was disconcerting, and was a discredit to my abilities. I have mutliple prsentations, and 16gb is not enough, particularly when visiting distinct client with different or multiple  portfolio requirements. Is there any way to change the 16gb standard card to a 64gb (There are now 200gb micro SD cards!): Sandisk 200GB SD - The future. I hate to fiddle with the built in SD port, not counting the potential loss of these tiny cards.  I would like it to be an  internal or at least sealed and protected from accidental 'pop-outs'. As the eMMC is actually built on the SD card protocol, can I open and replace the meager 16gb with a more modern larger storage for of WiFi use. Any hack or hints before I pass this unit off, would be appreciated.  Incredible 'oyster' closure system.  Even the Chrome Pixel has a lid finger catch groove.

I do have and use the "SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive":  Did not try it in Chromebook yet, as the Google Store does not seem to have the Chrome extension.  It does play well on my Adroids (Cell and Tablet). Sandisk Wireless Media drive. That may be a way to go if I can get it to work as just a raw drive using some workaround software controls.  I guess another workaround and something else to carry & lose.

a few days ago my computer suddenly started to lag at spontaneous intervals and occasionally freezing up
it also applies to all the programs i open and use, such as mozilla, messenger, skype, etc.
it also affects windows explorer as well, every time i navigate to a new folder it slows down, freezes temporarily, and then continues. sometimes it will stop working as well.
i've gotten two BSODS already and suddenly, although it hasn't happened again yet.
my computer has also suddenly shut itself down while i was in the middle of using it.
I suspect a virus, but I'm not sure.

what i've already tried:
-system restore to a time where i could still use my computer normally (didn't work)
- ccleaner to clean up registry (sped things up but still nothing)
- various antivirus scanners (quick scans so far, in process of full scans) including avast antivirus, malwarebytes, superantispyware and tdsskiller.
(some programs tdss found i am not completely sure if they are really viruses so if i could have some way to confirm that it would be useful
i HAVE found some threats, rootkits i think, that i cleaned up quickly, but no change.)

I have had a number of issues with my PC freezing, randomly resetting, and occasionally BSODing. The most common symptom is a random freezing that locks the computer (nothing but a hard reset will cause it to reboot) and causes whatever sound that was coming through my speakers to get stuck in a looped buzzing noise. This can happen several times in an hour, then not happen for days straight.
Occasionally, I will get a BSOD but there has been no consistent pattern to the error messages.
I also frequently get this message on a reboot after an error message: "DQS Training failed on previous boot, please press F1 to revert to slower DRAM speed" (I ran a memtest and let it cycle 6 or 7 times with no errors reported)

Any help in diagnosing this issue would be awesome!

Recently I had a boot mgr error when starting computer so I fixed it with windows 7 repair disk but since then ive had frequent crashes and occasional blue screen when in games.

Your error is 0x3B and these are often caused by faulty video drivers. Try the following:

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper (both have free versions; make sure the version will work with your OS) to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper but ONLY for the video card drivers. I had someone use it on their chipset drivers! If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

Since upgrading from XP to Windows 8 Pro I am experiencing numerous freezing and occassional BSOD crashes. The freezing will happen at any time - browsing, watching a video using VLC, copying files etc. I have a report from Blue Screen View for the last 2 BSOD but most of the freezing issues did not result in a BSOD so I just re-booted to continue with my work (sometimes it required 2-3 boots to get the system up and running again as it froze again on login page. The Crash list below points to a Driver problem but does not say which driver. I have been through Device Manager and checked that drivers are up to date.

Recently had a result from one of my scanners that I had a Trojan Horse Generic and deleted querySvc.exe.

I've uploaded my Hijackthis log and am always paranoid about whether my computer is clean. A response would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P300-1FP laptop, about 4 years old.

Running Windows 7 (32 bit version).

An occasional but annoying problem: when playing video, from time to time the whole system freezes. Sound continues to come from the speakers but it's usually either a slowed down & distorted version of what I should be hearing, or a loud, repetitive buzzing/screeching noise.

System never recovers - just freezes totally, unresponsive, display frozen, mouse pointer won't move, etc. Have to reboot each time.

Does anyone know what might be causing this & how I might fix it?

As far as I know SP P300 runs well with Win7 32bit. My brother has the same machine and use it with Win7 too. We have often checked performance with different games or playing different videos, mostly avi or mpeg files. YouTube videos run also very good and smoothly so I really don?t understand why do you have this freezing problem.

Have you installed display driver from Toshiba download page?
Is HDD extremely busy before this happen?

Does the same happen when you play games?

Hi, hope somebody can help me here.
My computer regularly freezes, that is to say everything stops and the only course of action is to use the restart button. It has always done this, but to start with it was very occasional, once or twice a month, now it happens at least once a day. Also I am now getting an occasional Blue Screen Of Death to go with it. The stop code I am getting when this happens is...

The problem stepped up a gear a few months ago after having a new motherboard fitted.

I'm not sure of the relevance of this but I'll put it in just in case. My device manager is showing an unknown device with a yellow question mark. I have no idea what this device is or if the problems I'm having have anything to do with it or not.

Can we get the spec's of your computer, Make, model, motherboard, RAM etc.

Since the error has happened more frequently since the Motherboard swap, check all connections to the motherboard, reseat CPU, and RAM, Graphics Card.

If the error still happens, download memtest86+, burn to a CD and test your RAM one stick at a time.

Hello.......trying to help my wife resolve an issue with her laptop. ASUS laptop, Windows 7 Home, few years old.

It has this issue where it freezes every once in a while, and when it does, it's always after she's walked away, and it's gone to sleep. It doesn't freeze every time, after it's been asleep, but when it does, it's definitely after it's been asleep.

That said, she said it's kind of done this since it was new, but she kind of blew it off as some weird "windows thing", but it's getting more annoying to her.

Usually she'll do a hard shutdown, as she doesn't have any other choice, and when she restarts it, it will behave.

Once in a while, but not every time, she will get a blue screen, and it happened last night....and it says "windows has been shut down to prevent further damage to your computer".....or something like that. Can't remember if it said an error was detected, or what else it said. Wish I had taken a picture, but hopefully I've furnished enough info to get some help/advice.

Hey guys
I'm getting the occasional bsod and constant freezing to the point where i have to reset the pc,
I've formattted and re-installed windows and its still happening,
ive removed my other drives too and it still happens.
I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue.
also when the freeze happens and i reset the pc cant find my ssd that windows boots from untill i power down fully, then windows starts fine and wont have a problem for half an hour untill next freeze.

I own a Yoga 710, and have been very satisfied with it.However, recently the light that indicates the webcam is being used has been flashing on and off occasionally. Sometimes it flashes every few seconds, sometimes it is only every few minutes. The light never stays on for more than a split second. I am worried this means some malware is accessing my camera for unknown reasons.I disabled the setting that allows apps to have access to the camera, yet the light continues to flash. In the meantime, I have taped over it for privacy reasons, but I would like to solve the problem.I don't know if this is related, but I also noticed around the same time that my screen would sometimes become redder (almost like it was turning on dusk-screen settings) and then turn back to normal. I have recentky been experiencing occasional black screens on my Lenovo Yoga 530 14ARR which last up to about 2 secs then reverts to original displayed screen
Not sure what this is but I manaaged to quickly update my BIOS as per the pop up. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Hi, Has anyone had any success using the N23 Yoga Chromebook and a USB serial adapter.  I have verified that my USB-A port is good but I have tried several different USB to Serial Adapters and none of them are being recognized.  Several hours of research today led me to a suggestion that requires modifing a file in the root filesystem "android.hardware.usb.host.xml" and I would rather not do that.   Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks,Kevin

I have had the 3rd gen 11e thinkpad yoga chromebook for a year now. Recently the tablet function has stopped working. I haven't changed or locked anything on it. I've looked at the orientation and it is still set to standard. When I flip the screen past the hinges it used to flip like a tablet, now it won't. Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated! A few months ago I started having problems with the microphone and video freezing.  Two weeks ago the microphone died while trying to use it with zoom.  doing further analysis the other day shows that it's not working with any product that uses it.  It also doesn't work if I use a bluetooth device with a functioning microphone.   Apparently this is a known issue according to other postings i've seen, but now my warranty is 5 days over it's expiration date. As recommended on the support site, I rebooted, reset to original settings, to no avail.   Is there any workaround I can peform without having to pay an silly amount of money to get this fixed?

Hi all, I bought Yoga 11e Chromebook for a high schooler in my family, and she was happy with it. A couple of weeks ago, in her science class she couldn't access some web resources - I bet they written as "Windows or Mac only" web resources.   Now, I am thinking installing Windows on it, to make her school life easier - Because she is a student she can have a Windows license at no cost from government software centre for students.   The machine is still under warranty and I would like to know: 1. Will Lenove be helpful to provide me all the information?2. Can I do this without warranty void?3. Is it possible to install WIndows on Yoga 11e Chromebook?4. As long as you can enter development mode I beleive you can install Windows on it (assuming the hardware meets the requirements) http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-install-windows-8-on-your-google-chromebook-pixel.350111/ While it is for the pixel, the instructions seem to be universal for chromebooks.   I'm not sure about warranty voiding though.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium (sp2) on a Sony VAIO laptop.
My laptop was recently infected by a rootkit trojan, which was successfully removed, thanks to some help via your forum(s).
While my laptop has been running well since the virus was removed, there have been some notable issues.
My main issue is that when my laptop is in Sleep Mode, and I try to wake it, either by pressing the power button or 'any key', it restarts;
I'm shown the 'windows did not shutdown properly' page on startup, but after clicking 'start windows normally' it boots up fine.
Just before it restarts I see a flicker of a blue screen, which disappears too quickly to read. (I have seen white and red text on this screen).
I have had occasional 'crashing/freezing' issues also, where I can still move the mouse/pointer, but there is no response from the keyboard, even ctrl/alt/del.
Another thing I have noticed is that my C: Drive seems to keep getting full, even though I am not adding anything to it. (system restore issues perhaps?)
Any help with these frustrating issues would be much appreciated.

Further developments. My laptop will now not fully boot. It gets to the desktop screen, but then freezes when loading the icons in the taskbar. I can move the mouse/pointer, but that is all. I tried a startup repair/system restore and while it went through the motions, the same thing happened on startup.
Your help would be massively appreciated.
Will boot in safe mode and run as you would expect in that mode.

I was using my charged Lenovo Yoga 11e Chromebook when the screen went dark and the power button is now continuously blinking, I have tried holding down the power button (which normally would turn it off) however this has not worked. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I think im affected by this battery problem https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht102953 the image installs succesfully but i cant see any message in the syslog saying anything about the battery update, because is empty all the time. top tool shows an uptime of 30 minutes... long enough for the upgrade to finish. I tried it several times. how can i tell what version of the battery firmware am i running? im still getting very low battery live (around 2h) thanks!!

The symptoms seem to match .   The support tip you reference is being updated in the next 24-48 hours.
You might try this alternate / new solution....
In ThinkPad 11e Chromebook and ThinkPad Yoga 11e Chromebook, the battery may experience poor longevity or not be able to power the system with the battery alone.
To update the battery firmware:

Logon to the Chromebook and update the Chromebook to the latest version of Chrome OS. (https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/177889?hl=en)
Press Ctrl-Alt-T to enter the crosh terminal page.
Plug in the A/C power adapter and keep it plugged while performing the following step.
In the crosh terminal page, type battery_firmware update and press Enter to update the firmware.  It may take up to 10 minutes.  Do not remove A/C power until the update has completed.

Last week, I purchased a refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad 11e Yoga Chromebook.  When I received it, it was sealed in the original packaging with a sticker indicating that it had been refurbished at a Lenovo facility.  When I turned it on, I got stuck at the Enterprise Enrollment screen.  It seems that it was registered to the domain of the original owner and would not let anyone login without credentials for that domain.  The trackpad was also non-responsive, but I figured once I logged in, I could toggle the trackpad settings and get it working. There was a link to contact Google for help with this, so I followed those instructions.  Google said that they could not help me, and that I'd need to contact the original owner to have them de-register the device.  Since I had no connection to the original owner, I contacted the seller who apologized and told me that, since the device had a full warranty, Lenovo should be able to fix the issue. So, I contacted Lenovo for help on Sunday.  The Tech Support Agent that I spoke to first tried to tell me to return the device and get something that ran Windows since Chrome OS and Android are inferior(!).  Anyway, once I assured him that I did indeed want a Chromebook and knew all about Chrome OS, he told me that I could send it in for repair, and that all they'd need to do was wipe the system and re-install the OS with a consumer image instead of the enterprise image that was on the m... The title says it all and i dont think it spyware btw because i frequently use SpbotSD and malwarebytes and it didnt see anything .. recently downloaded cccleaner it improved the pc's speed a little bit but the startup situtation stayed the same..

have you tried stopping some of the applications from starting at boot up? they can really slow your pc down when starting. make sure to leave antivirus to run though. also, do you have enough ram (512mb minimum) for xp to run smoothly.

Hey everyone, I got my X1 Yoga 3rd gen a couple days ago with an HDR screen, and noticed that when I scroll up and down in Chrome and OneNote, there is a screen tear quite noticeable with a zig-zag shape is like this: +++++            +              +                 +++++++++++++++++++++++                                                                              +                                                                                 + I had the same problem when I got the 2nd gen X1 Yoga, which was fixed after a graphics driver upate from Lenovo. I recently got my Yoga 11e Chromebook and the wireless-status indicator which is ontop of the laptop's screen.  When I shut my laptop down, the light doesn't go off. Everything else is off like the ThinkPad light. It is draining my battery power and I looked through support and I couldn't get any help from it. I have the latest Chrome OS (Version 39). I believe it could be a hardware problem but if it is a software problem, can you please advise me on how to fix this problem.  Thank you

I just got a new Yoga 11e Chromebook and can't get the two-finger right-click touchpad function to work. The Settings for the touchpad don't seem to apply. Any ideas?  I went to the Lenovo support site to see about updated drivers, but none were shown.
