I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So, as the title suggests, all the ports on my Lenovo Yoga 900 have stopped reading any outside device. I went into device manager and the usb ports don't show up anymore under the Universal Serial Bus controller tree. The only device that stills works, thankfully, is the charger which plugs into the special usb port. If anyone knows a solution i would be grateful, thank you.

Btw sorry for the quick post i am writing this on my phone. I can provide more specs for the computer if needed, also i am running Windows 10.

After a Window's update, my trackpad stopped working. After searches online for how to fix the issue, I noticed that the trackpad was completely unistalled from my computer (vs. just being disabled). I went to the Lenovo website and re-downloaded the driver, which fixed the issue..... for a few weeks. Now my trackpad stopped working again (randomly mid use...I had not restarted my computer or anything), with no further windows updates occuring. I looked and it is once again, unistalled. I tried to download the driver again, but it didn't fix the issue this time. How do I get my trackpad back installed and working?

As you know, Yoga can turn into a tablet and if it is turned over, then the image on the screen also turns, like on smartphones. However, after a while this function disappeared. Moreover, the "Autoroute Lock" icon disappeared from the "Quick Actions" on the "Notification Panel".Also, the lock screen setting from "Options / Display" disappeared. The autorotation lock button on the left side of the laptop either does not react. Can anyone tell me what's going on? How can I repair this function?

The fingerprint scan function stopped working yesterday for my computer. I googled for a solution and I found one I tried to follow it. One of the steps was to update the bios and I did and it worked for one hour or so and then stopped working again. I couldn't do the other steps at all since I don't have anything software called Lenovo fingerprint manager pro on my computer and I can't find it anywhere online for Windows 10 either. Does anyone else has the same problem as me?

Hi there! Need help. Obviously. Hope people still look at this fourm... I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 1470 Laptop. Its...a few years old AND it is out of warrenty (so please no recommendations for sending it into Lenovo Repair Service). It is running the Windows 10 update, though it initally came with Windows 8.1  A few days ago I factory reset the computer to wipe it of all files and such. When the reset was finished it updated and reloaded itself with Windows 10. Everything seemed fine at first... HOWEVER, the touch screen is not responding to anything. I can fold the laptop into tablet mode, the physical keyboard will shut off but it will not respond to touches by any means. The Pen & Touch information in windows settings says that Pen & Touch are not available for this device. I have checked the drivers and the HID-Compliant Driver is NOT THERE (it was at first but it was greyed out and gave me a code 45).  Tent mode also doesn't work. I can flip the computer over, and Auto -Rotate will appear on the screen but the screen never flips. I have searched high and low on Google and Lenovo but perhaps I am missing something, a driver update or ...anything. Help would be great great greatly appreciated. Just to recap:-Lenovo Yoga 3 1470-Fresh Factory Reset-Windows 10 64-bit-Touch Screen Not responding-Tent Mode Screen Not Rotating-HID Touch Screen Driver Missing *EDIT: Just realized I made a similar post like 2 months ago...wow. I am using the USB-C port on my Yoga 900-13ISK (Windows 10) to connect to an external monitor. Everything worked fine until this morning for some unexplicable reason the USB-C port stopped sending signal. When I plug in the USB-C adapter (converting to DP) my screen starts and then gives me a message "no signal". I get the same error when trying to connect via another converter to HDMI. Both adapters and cables worked before. I updated my graphics card drivers and of course am extending displays. Any ideas what might cause this problem and how to fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have a parrot and she's jumped on the keyboard, hitting the key that cycles between laptop display, external display and "both." Yeah, that took me a while to figure out why I couldn't get it to work properly.

The other thing I'd do is try the cable with a different source, such as a PC.

I'm hoping someone can help me with the audio problem on my notebook. After owning my Yoga for about 2 months, the audio stopped working.  I don't know exactly when it stopped, I don't recall that it stopped directly after a windows update or anything like that.  I am using the factory loaded Windows 10.  The speaker icon in the task bar has a small red X on it.  When I click the icon Windows goes through a troubleshooting process and tells me it found a fix and asks me to click the button to apply the fix and then restart, but the problem persists.  If I right click and choose playback devices, the only two things that show up are my bluetooth speaker - nothing related to the internal audio.  If I go into device manager, under "other devices" there are two entries for "Intel High Definition Audio."  Previously there was one entry, I don't know when the second shows up.  If I right click and select update driver, windows does a search online but does not find an update. I have also gone to the Lenovo site and downloaded and installed the audio driver listed there but the problem continues. I took it into geek squad since I purchased it at Best Buy, and the guy looked at it for a couple minutes and told me it's a hardware problem and it will need to be sent in for repair. Any thoughs?  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been using my 260 for a couple months now and generally have been pleased with it.  Unfortunately, the stylus stopped working while I was using it yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what's gone wrong. I suspect the internal capacitor is no longer charging, but I'm unsure how to check.  If it is a charging issue, is it possible that it's an OS driver issue?  A few weeks ago I changed my OS from Windows 10 to Ubuntu and if the stylus has a very impressive battery life it's possible it's just finally worn out, but I find it odd that this would be OS dependent, as doesn't the stylus charge even if the PC is off? If anyone can shed some light on this issue, it would be much appreciated.  Google has failed to provide me any helpful information and I'd really like to avoid reinstalling Windows 10 just to see if it starts charging my stylus - especially if it doesn't help!

This issue started recently, after months of it working fine. The internet just would randomly stop working. I would use the troubleshooting function, it would go through the process and connect to our network, but then when I tried to go to a website, it would say there was no internet. Eventually I was able to get an old Netgear USB Adapter to work. I have tried changing the power settings, removing the drivers in the device manager, and I have the latest wifi driver. I have read many of the help posts on other Yoga wifi issues. Is this a software issue or a hardware issue? Thanks for the help!

I tried to find documentation on how to repair it or investigate but could not find any informations. Can I do anything to confirm that? Is there anything I can do to repair it? Is the next step to bring my laptop to a Lenovo service center? Thank you for any help!

Hi, I just bought a ThinkPad Yoga 460 and I have a strange problem. The internal keyboard does not work any more across operating systems, so this isn't software specific. However, the keyboard *does* work in the beginning a cold start until the operating system boots - I can enter the BIOS settings, navigate around there, I can enter the onboard diagnostics utility, everything works fine - until an operating system boots. If I just reboot without turning the computer off, the internal keyboard doesn't work. I even restored factory settings, so I am writing this from an Ubuntu Live USB with an external keyboard until I have figured out how to restore EFI, but the keyboard still isn't working. The problem occured after a long time of using only the external keyboard, so I can't exactly tell what I was doing when it happened. I'm guessing it has to do with the rotation sensor being stuck, but what would be the point of disabling the keyboard if it's physically impossible to press any buttons in tablet mode... Also, the touch pad keeps working anyway. I removed Windows from the laptop and I don't think there'd be an easy way to get it back, so I hope any solutions would work on Linux too. Best regards,Malte

Yesterday evening, the USB-C ports of my Lenovo Yoga 920 stopped working suddenly. While working with the computer, the connected external monitor and the laptop screen both went dark and I couldn't revive them by disconnecting/reconnecting any cables or by pressing any keys on the laptop. In the end, I had to force a hard restart of the Yoga 920 by pressing the power button on the right. After rebooting the laptop, I noticed that it completely failed to communicate with any devices connected to the USB-C port, including my external monitor, keyboard, mouse and Ethernet network. First suspecting an issue with the connected USB-C hub (Kensington USB-C Universal Dock 60W (SD4600P)), I performed a full power recycle, including detaching/attaching cables, of all involved components. This had no result. I noticed then in the Windows 10 Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), that the USB device "UCSI USB Connector Manager" was marked as not working (yellow exclamation mark). The status of the device was:This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE Disabling/removing/reinstalling this device in Windows 10 had no effect on the issue. Then I noticed that the laptop didn't charge while connected to the power supply from Lenovo, which was delivered with the laptop. There are two USB-C ports on the left side of the laptop. The one towards the back is marked as the one to use for charging. It didn't work any more. I had to connect the USB-C cable from th... Two-finger scrolling has suddenly stopped working on my Yoga 710. A reboot hasn't worked. Two-finger zoom still works, but when I try to scroll it malfunctions. Pulling two fingers down on the touchpad minimises the window. Pushing two fingers up takes me to miniature view of all my open windows. Very occasionally it will scroll slightly in one direction but not the other, but I can't get it to happen often enough to work out why it works occasionally. What is going wrong? EDIT: It now seems that the zoom is a bit finicky too. It works much of the time when I try to enlarge or shrink Facebook in my browser, but not all the time.

This seems to happen whenever a Windows update goes out, and I have to wait for Lenovo to provide firmware/bios/driver updates that fix the problem.  I have to say that this recurring bad experience will weigh heavily into my next purchasing decision.  I paid a lot extra for a touchscreen that breaks with every Windows update, and the wait for a fix is often quite long. What is the ETA for this next round of fixes from Lenovo?

I purchased a Yoga 2 13 (SN: CB29722715) laptop from US with IWS. Some time back various keys on the laptop stopped working, including Ctrl, 1, 3, 5, and others, making it useless unless you also carry another laptop around. I took it to the repair center in Allahabad, India, but the service center returned it saying that the parts are not available in India. Surely there must be a way to obtain these parts? I've tried to contact Lenovo support on chat and phone, but all they can tell me is to take it to the service center. I finally got in touch with a senior tech support person, who informed via email that the parts required were FRU 25215052 and FRU 25215053, but again, I was informed that these parts were not available with Lenovo (anywhere??) and have not heard anything further since (this was two days ago). Is the IWS completely useless in this case? Is there anything I can do apart from junking the laptop?
