I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi all I have recently bought a Lenovo M91p thinkcenter Desktop as an upgrade to my old i3 PC. Old Spec is as follows:Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supplyIntel DH55HC motherboardi3 CPURadeon HIS HD 7950 Graphics card8GB RAM500GB HDDI have transferred my old 500GB HD and Power supply to the new Lenovo desktop and everything booted fine. Then I installed 2x 2GB extra into the Lenovo M91p (Making it 8GB), and upgraded the 500GB HDD to a 1TB. So my new spec is as follows:Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supplyLenovo Q67 motherboardi7 2600 3.4 Ghz CPU8GB RAM1TB and 500GB HDDEverything Booted fine. Then I tried to install my old Graphics card (The Radeon HIS HD 7950 Graphics card). All i got was a blank screen, no beeps, no BIOS... Nothing. At first, i thought my power supply wasn't enough... So i tested a 750W power supply in the pc. Still nothing. Then I thought the motherboards BIOS was outdated... Updated it... Still nothing. I even tried updating the firmware of the graphics card. Nothing. The graphics card definitely works because I tested it in my old machine and it worked 100%.However, I took my graphics card to my supplier, and he tested it on another one of his PCs... Didn't work there either. My PC's BIOS doesn't have support for secure boot, in case anyone wants to know.I have run out of ideas now... Any one able to help?

A:Lenovo M91p Desktop not booting with new graphics ...

There's a white list of graphics cards the BIOS will recognize. The HD 7950 is a 180w card, well in excess of what the factory power supply can provide for (and the case/fans sufficient cooling for), and is not one that Lenovo would provide BIOS support for.

Use the search engine above to see what cards other owners have successfully used in their M91p.

I just got a recent AMD Polaris card (RX 550) for Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p, and it simply doesn't boot with it. It doesn't even get to the starting splash screen with Lenovo logo. The monitor remains blank. I updated the BIOS to the last release I could find but it still didn't help. Can anything be done with it? It works with Nvidia cards, but I'm running Linux and want to use open drivers, so AMD is a much better option. I replaced the power supply by the way with better one.

Basically, this is a Lenovo G50 with two small cracks in the top and bottom plastic casings. Normally this wouldn't seem to be too big of a deal, but those cracks actually make the laptop impossible to open safely. The top one makes the lid bend quite badly when pressure is applied, and when the lid is raised, the bottom corner follows suit and bows outward with a loud cracking sound.

Months ago, I ordered replacement casings for this laptop, but I ran into the problem of not being able to get the broken ones off. They're apparently supposed to just pop off, but it doesn't work like that. With the top, it pops apart in every spot except the side where the hinges are. On the bottom, only the front edge pops apart, while the sides housing the ports and the hinges seem to be stuck together.

This leads me to think that I may have to take the whole thing apart just to get the casings off. Is doing a complete de-assembly necessary? And if so, how is it actually done?

When I try to open it, the computer forces so badly that It may crack the case even more.  I'm afraid that a super flue won't work. Maybe a new case? If so, do you think that I can replace this piece? Any suggest is wellcome.

I have owned a Lenovo Y510p for a few years and dont get me wrong I do love the laptop. However the build quality of the case is perhaps a bit of an issue. To be fair the laptop has travelled with me across europe many times and does get the odd knock. I have in many cases managed to glue the cracks and other issue in place but the case is now so bad ideally it needs to be replaced. I was wondering what my options are in this case and how much it would cost me. I cannot in my heart look to throw the machine away when it works fine just because the bottom case is broken.

I purchased Lenovo Yoga 710 half a year ago. About a few months ago I started to notice that the case started to crackle once you lift it or somehow flex laptop in any way. For example write now my laptop is on my legs, I am typing this message and when my hands move a bit more I hear carckling sounds coming from laptops case. I have tried to tighten bottom screws a bit more - once of them seemed to be a bit loose. This didn't help. It seems like those crackling sounds are becoming more noticable because they start to require even more flex of the laptop to make them appear. Maybe you know if there is anything that I can do? Do you have the same issue or is it just me and I got a defective unit? In that case, maybe you know if they would replace it under warranty?

Based on the discussion in this forum, it seems to be a firmware issue. On my system, it's ALWAYS repoducible and the 'workaround' ALWAYS worked. ThinkPad: P50, i7-6700HQ, Intel HD 530, nVidia Quadro M1000M, 64GB RAM.  BIOS version: 1.23.Monitor: Dell P2411HLaptop to Monitor connection: HDMI to DVI.  (Also tried HDMI to HDMI, same result)OS: Windows 10 Enterprise X64.BIOS Display Mode: HybridOS Desktop mode: Extend desktop to external monitor. Reproduce procedure:1) External monitor was working properly.2) Shut down Windows.3) Unplug monitor cable from laptop's HDMI port.4) Start Windows.5) Shut down Windows.6) Reconnect monitor cable to laptop's HDMI port.7) Start Windows.8) External monitor is not recognized anymore. (like it never exists) The above is a very common use case.  Step 2, 3, 4 and 5 is what happens when I leave the office and go to the field.  Step 6 and 7 is when I'm back to office and try to reconnect my external monitor. Workaround:1) Get into BIOS > Config > Display.  Change from Hybrid to Discrete.  Press F10 to save config and reboot.  (if you're OK with 'Discrete' mode, you may skip step 2 below)2) Get into BIOS > Config > Display.  Change from Discrete to Hybrid.  Press F10 to save config and reboot.3) Monitor is recognized and everything is back to normal.

Hi,I purchase Lenovo flex 3 model last year online from lenovo site. Somehow in few months i started getting touch screen/cursor hanging problems in laptop. I called up customer care and try to resolve the issue. They suggested me to do factory reset and try once more.I did factory reset, but issue still persist.Next I debugged the issue with technician online and he asked me to send the machine to repairing center. After 3 weeks I received my machine again factory reset and problem of touchscreen didn't solved at all. Then I again called up technician and asked for refund on 8th December, somehow after multiple follow ups i got a call from CRM Crystal1 holeman and she still didn't agreed to refund and suggested me for another chance of repair. Hello, last night i noticed a crack has appeared for no apperent reason on bottom case of this Lenovo 510 15ISK (my brothers laptop but im mostly using it since i do some game development with some Nvidia exclusive features like Nvidia Gameworks and my laptop only has AMD GPU so i have to use my younger brothers Lenovo because of Nvidia GPU) anyway, i tried to find part number on Lenovo Parts lookup website but it only found components like RAM HDD MOBO , etc. no sign of part number for bottom case for this model If possible can someone tell me part number and is it possible to maybe order original parts from Lenovo so i can replace it myself Laptop is still under warranty but my younger brother uses it for gaming and i for game development so we cannot really be without laptop for more than few days. I can replace case myself i just need part number and hopefully official Lenovo repair center in Croatia sends parts to users who want replace parts by themselvs (i have replaced cases, screens, fans, motherborads and other components on many laptops and phones, even on few smart TVs and ps3 and 4 so replacing anything is not a problem for me) Pictures of crack: https://imgur.com/a/s9fOR4k  Thanks in advance

The case isn't cracked or broken.  The plastic part is just coming apart from the metal chasis.  It's really annoying because in order to close the laptop, I have to push down on the plastic to get it to snap into place every time.  Then, when I open it again, the plastic lifts up again.  The laptop is definitely not covered under warranty, so I was trying to find a home solution.  Does anybody know how to fix this problem?  It's a good laptop and I would like to continue using it.

Hi tenniseric98.

Greetings.

You may need to review the disassembly guide from the manual here and likewise the service training module here specially with the hinges and display. Try to inspect any loose screws or probable broken parts that makes opening the lid unstable.

Update us how it goes.

In December of 2015 I bought my daughter a Lenovo 300-15ISK IdeaPad. In many ways it was a good laptop, but it wasn't durable and I wouldn't buy another one. After 5 months (May 2016) part of the housing around the power connection was broken. Because of this the power cord wouldn't plug in all the way and the IdeaPad wouldn't charge. I took it back to where I had purchased it (MicroCenter) to be repaired. I was told that this type of repair was not covered by the warranty, and the price they quoted me was over $300 (about 3/4 of what I paid for the laptop). I was upset that the repairs weren't covered and that they were so expensive. Other places near me had similar prices for this repair. Luckily I was able to jury-rig a solution so the power connection would stay in place and the IdeaPad could be plugged in and charged. My solution lasted until late 2016 before I needed to adjust it again. That 'solution' lasted until this March before it failed again. This time the power connection became detached from the interior of the laptop. So I opened up the laptop in order to fix it again. This IdeaPad was clearly not designed to be repaired -- opening it up was an adventure which strained my abilities and patience. I was able to reconnect the power connection and reclose the laptop, but the IdeaPad will no longer start. So I am left with a bricked IdeaPad, a poor opinion of the durability of Lenovo products, and a worse opinion of Lenovo warranty terms.

Hi everyone, I recently acquired a M91p SFF with:i5-24008gb RamAsus eah5450 low profile passOptical drive500gb hdd @7200rpmand 240w PSU So I have been researching a lot about what GPUs will work in my systemI decided to buy the GT730 (to upgrade my old gpu).It has a power consumption of 25w (TDP of 38w) according to the geforce website.I just want to make sure that it will work.Although I am confident it will work because the asus eah5450 has a power consumption of up to 75 watts.I MAY have to update my bios but my concern is that there's no bios update for Windows 10.I am also planning to transfer it to another case and buy a new psu but I am not sure what size the motherboard is (most likely micro-atx) and also the connectors to a new psu would be similar to the stock psu that I currently have The GT730 is on it's way and i'm planning to install it and removing the power to the optical drive (dvd) since I don't use it that often. This is just to make sure that my psu would hold the entire setup. Any suggestions guys? Thanks!

However only 2.8 are usuable, I've been told it's because I'm running 32 bit os, and need to clean install a 64 bit. How would I know if I can install 64, technically if 32 bit only supports 4 gigs and this machine is upgrade able to 16 gigs ram doesn't that mean it will run 64 bit.. How else would it see the ram in 32 bit. Thank you so much

Microsoft and Intel do not support the Intel processor (Sandy Bridge) in the M91p for Windows 10, and therefore Lenovo does not have Windows 10 drivers for this system.

For the graphics driver, you can try the latest Windows 8 driver.   For the Network driver, you may find a Win 10 driver on the Intel download site (you can find the adapter model number using Device Manager.)

Hiya, In my current PC I have an i5 3470, and In the Thinkcentre M91p i have recently purchased, it has an i7 2600, which is a little overkill for what ive purhcased it for, so I was thinking of swapping the cpu's so I have the 2600 in my gaming PC and the Thinkcentre gets the 3470.However I'm not sure if this would work as I have no idea whether the motherboard of the ThinkCentre would accept the new Ivy Bridge chip, and I don't even know if my Asus P8H77-V would accept the 2600?So would this work? and how would I go about doing it? Im a noob at all this im sorry ;(All answers are much appreciated, Ajsski99
