Just updated my W541 laptop and tried to run Lenovo Solution Centre to scan hardware and it just sits there doing nothing has anyone else come across this. Scanned my laptop direct from the Lenovo website and all ok so why does Solution Centre no longer function. BIOS GNET84WW (2.32) Roger

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

When I do a Hardware scan using the Companion all areas go through OKButWhen I use the Solution Centre for Hardware scans it stops at Mathermatical Operations test & goes no further.Question why?

Hi all, Received my T530 with Windows 8. There I had Lenovo Solution Centre and it was ok. But i have put my SSD with Windows 7 to this laptop cause i have everything installed there for work, etc. It works great, and I wanted to install Lenovo Solution Centre, but i cannot it says: "Product: Lenovo Solution Center -- This version of the Lenovo Solution Center program can only be installed on select Lenovo computers. This setup cannot continue." Why it's like this? What can i do to install it.

Hello,

Whenever i restart my computer Windows Solution Center keeps trying to install itself but it can't because it's asking me for a cd. It has been happening for about 2 weeks now and it's getting really annoying. I don't know what caused this to happen but, I really would like to fix this solution. I don't have any cds to this Windows Solution Center since my laptop didn't come with it. How do i get rid of this problem?

You may want to visit the Nvidia website and see if you can download the latest driver there.

Apparently there have been some issues with uninstalling/installing Nvidia drivers, This Nvidia forum thread goes into quite a bit of detail. It's a long thread but may help you achieve a good driver install. As always, make a system restore point (or better yet, a system image) just in case.

Hello I had this same issue on my brand new yoga 700, I resolved by doing installing a driver but it was tricky. this is my download page yours maybe different.  http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-700-14isk?TabName=Dow... Once you are on your product page follow these instructions.download the display driver. I had the VGA Driver.download an install your VGA driver. you can click the box that says install, but most likley it will fail. that is okay go to step 3type in device manager in the ask me anything in windows 10. click the device manager.double click display drivers and then right click your driver should say 520 if  the same as mine and chose update driversClick browse my computer for driver software, then click "let me browser from a list of drivers on my computer"then chose the dirver 10.18.15.4248 (it is an older dirver but it is more stable at the moment.)highlight it click next and install it.restart your computer and run the scan again.. you should no longer recieve the error.Keep checking back for a new driver or more stable one. these machines just came out so they need some tweeking.also make sure you always do windows updates to keep your computer in check. Also run lenovo companion, and that will scan and instll latest updates, i would not install the latest graphics driver because that is the one we rolled back. wait for a new one. you may email me for further questions at snoop_rogg... Hi
Looking for a solution to a recent HP 5280 Photosmart printer problem (was previously working well). On trying to activate the HP Solution Center icon to use the scanning features of this printer, the screen flashes up the the function then I receive the msg "No HP devices have been detected. HP Solution Center will close now." Have uninstalled and reinstalled followed all the HP Tech advice to check functionality etc - still no joy and HP Tech seem unable to assist. Can anyone help with a solution for this problem.

Got an M93 with Win 10. Lenovo solution center asks to do upgrades on BIOS and a bunch of drivers. Did that, and now I can't boot the computer. 
 
Tried pressing F1 after pressing start button, no help. Can't enter BIOS, still stuck at lenovo screen. Also tried Ctrl+Alt+Del on that screen, blacks out then stuck at lenovo screen again. 
 
Please help and inform, thanks!!!

A:ThinkCentre: Stuck at Lenovo splash screen after lenovo solution bios upgrade

I would try resetting the BIOS using the jumper, or by taking out the CMOS battery, wait a minute or two, and then replace it and try booting up. See page 73 of the Hardware Maintenance Manaul linked below for location of the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper (# 20) https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/m83m93p_hmm.pdf Clearing the CMOS (BIOS)1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. 3. Locate the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper on the system board. 4. Move the jumper from the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2) to the maintenance position (pin 2 and pin 3). 5. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. 6. Turn on the computer and leave it on for approximately 10 seconds. Then, turn off the computer by holding the power switch for approximately five seconds. 7. Repeat step 1 through step 2. 8. Move the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper back to the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2). 9. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. Good Luck,

I have a Lenovo Y50 and i have the Lenovo Solution center installed on it version. 3.3.004 . But evertime i open it it say it has an uppdate and when i download it and its about to install it it says somthing about harsh verifiation. Anyhow seems like i cant uppdate it. I use to have a nice battery bar on the bottom right corner now its ony windows orginal icon. Wounder were my nice one went. It seem like it keep tracking on my battery usage bettwer caus somtimes it let the power bar go lower so it wasent constantly on 100%. Now i get the message that my battery ha been over 70% a long time and its not good for it.  Anyhow whats upp with that Lenovo Solution center and if you can help me with that battery issu i would be even moore happier. / Cheers

I bought Win 8 Pro Upgrade especially for my fairly recently bought Lenovo Ideapad Y570 laptop. Today, I contacted a large Lenovo Service Centre in Shanghai, to get their take on actually installing Win 8. I'm still uncertain about how the upgrade will affect my work. The service manager said he advises against it. The Ideapad Y Series sold up to now has been designed with Win 7 in mind. Almost all of the special hardware features and the software supporting these features are not compatible with Win 8. The new Lenovo's fitted with Win 8 are adapted to the new version of Windows. The pre-Win 8 models should rather be used in the way they were intended to be used. Otherwise you might experience all kinds of difficulties and lose more than you gain from upgrading to Win 8, depending on your particular use of a computer. The guy did not speak for Lenovo as a company, he was simply speaking from workshop experience and dealings with customers.

If you are talking about windows 8 not having some drivers for specific hardware, then i must tell you, you shouldnt depend on drivers, which are available on lenovo or any other laptops seller sites, because they dont update drivers on their sites. You should download drivers directly from the sites of the manufacturers of specific hardware, i.e. intel, realtek, atheros ...

Hi,I have a user in Madagascar who has a faulty Lenovo X270 laptop. It powers on for a few seconds then immediatly switches off, we have tried everything to fix it, but our IT support team are advising it will need to be repaired by Lenovo as it is still within warranty. The only problem is after I gave my colleagues in Madagascar the address for the Lenovo repair centre that shows on your website, they are advising that the place does not exist anymore... When they looked for it they advised there was a clothes store there instead. Calling the phone number has no response as well.Is there another authorised Lenovo repair centre in Madagascar? First gotta remind that this case does not apply here:https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkCentre-A-E-M-S-Series/How-can-I-add-a-second-3-5in-HDD-to-my-Lenov... There are not enough free sata-power cables for two drives in this model. However, there are the SATAPWR1 and SATAPWR2 connectors on the motherboard. They are currently connected as follows:SATA_PWR1 ---> (nothing)SATA_PWR2 ---> non-standard-connector + standard SATA-power-connector  The small (non-standard) connector is attached to the DVD-drive.The SATA-power-connector is attached to HDD drive 1.  I need to add the second drive, but there is no way to power it. Can I get the appropriate cable from somewhere to draw power from SATAPWR1 -> HDD drive 2 ??

So I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre M900 tiny with an i5-6500T processor, SSD, it crashes once maybe twice a day over an 8 hour working shift. I do data valedation in magento 1&2 so have lots of excel spreadsheets open but I find it doesnt matter how much or how little I have open, it crashes reguardless. What happens is the screens stop responding, the mouse will still be free to move for about a minute across the frozen pages before stopping too then this wont resolve itself and requires a hard reset- I've treid waiting half an hour before and still nothing. My worst day was 12 crashes and on average its 3 a day.This has gone on for a year now and in that time I've had a Lonovo technician come out and take a look, he changed the motherboard but still the issue stays the same, Ive tried more RAM, less RAM, the CPU is fine, I'm running off ethernet, loads of free disk space, not alot saved onto the memory. Its even been whiped entirely and rebuilt. I cant download any dodgy viruses as I dont have admin permissions so it cant be that either.I cannot find a single reason for it to be having this issueAnybody had the same issue before and managed to have it resolved?

I purchased an Idea Centre 300S-11BR in May of 2016.  It ran fine for about 7 months, but died in December of 2016.  I could here it cycling to restart, but it would do so for 5 seconds, stop and then try again.   The repair was covered under warranty (1 year from date of purchase).  Lenovo sent someone out to replace the motherboard.  Computer worked fine. Fast forward another 11 months and the computer died again.  Same exact symptoms and problem. I would bet that the motherboard is the issue, again. Lenovo has said they will not service the computer as it is now 1 year out of warranty.  However, I believe that there was a defective part.  And the replacement part was 11 months old when it, too failed. I would be willing to pay for a lenovo support person to come on site to determine if the motherboard is defective.  If not, I would be willing to pay lenovo for the service.  Lenovo warranty said they were escalating this to the customer support folks and that I would hear something bacy by 10/13/2017.  It is now 10/16/2017 and i have heard nothing. Anyone else having issues with this desktop?  Any suggestionis about receiving warranty service?

I have a Black screen issue on an Idea Centre B320. But unlike others on here it really is completely Black, as in no cursor, no logo, nothing! Although Windows loads in the background. Things started happening after the Win 10 upgrade, screen kept going blank, shook mouse, screen back on so thought it was a power save issue that needed adjustment. Then one day it just stayed off, every time i reboot, nothing. Can't boot in to safe mode as screen is completely blank, tried all the keyboard tricks F2 e.t.c, nothing works, i can even get the voice narrator working so can basically log in blind and the start screen loads in the background. Voice narrator informs me that all the screen icons are there so everything is working apart from the screen! One tech guy reconed it was a hardware problem and i'd need a new motherboard at a cost of £200... however, another tech guy said, 'it's a software problem relating to Win 10... so, who is right, and what can i do about it?! Please help if anyone can as it's an amazing piece of kit with a large screen, at the moment i am using a refurb Dell latitude which is absolute crap, so i want the Lenovo up and running again as soon a possible! Hi All I have a 2016 model.  Hardly Used at all, warranty ran out Dec 2017. All of a sudden the top left of the screen is un responsive to touch.It runs about 5 inches down the left side from the edge and 10 inches across the screen almost to the centre. The visual display and mouse all continue to work in the area but the touch reponse is not being detected. I have reset the system via settings as the settings have advised.I have callobrated the screen via settings - the area was unresponsive during callobration. Any further advice? Thank you
