have to refresh browser(s) multiple times to fully load a page

Q: have to refresh browser(s) multiple times to fully load a page

Hi- hope someone can give me a fix for this-I have to reload then refresh every page I go to-then everything runs perfectly. I've tried msconfig/flushdns and also NETSH  INT  IP  RESET
NETSH  WINHTTP  RESET  PROXY(this might be or windows 8)
        IPCONFIG  /FLUSHDNS
pressing enter after each command, then restarting > this does not  work. Is there a fix? or am I being hijacked?
thank you for any help

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

70% of the time now when load a page in IE, I get "page cannot be displayed". These are all valid URLs, and when I refresh the page (sometimes takes 2-3 refreshes, but usually just once does it), the page loads properly. What is preventing the page from loading the first time? This is driving me nuts. I have done all the usual spyware scans, uninstalled and reinstalled IE, cleared all the caches, etc etc. Nothing seems to work.

I need to load an internet browser multiple times to get internet access after the computer has been on for a period of time. The longer the the time the computer has been on, the more times I need to load the browser. This problem has existed for several months. It existed before and after downloading Windows XP Service Pack 2.

For example, I left the computer on overnight last night. I needed to load Microsoft Internet Explorer thirteen times the first twelve of which displayed the message "The page cannot be dispayed." On the thirteenth attempt I received access to my home page on the internet. When I turn off the computer and restart it, I get internet access on the first load of a browser.

I have internet access with email and other programs which are browser independent. It seems to make no difference in results whether I use dial up or a DSL line. It also makes no difference which internet browser I use. I get the same result with Internet Explorer, Maxthon or Firefox.

The computer that has the internet access problem is running Windows XP Pro with all updates installed. I have a DSL router with 4 computers attached, two with Windows 98 SE operating systems, a laptop with Windows XP Pro operating system and the problem computer which is hardwired to the computer. None of the other three have browser internet access problems.

I use the most recent versions of Zone Alarm, Norton AntiVirus with the most recent definitions installed, and S... Read more

I just bought a new computer and installed WinXP Home on it. I've downloaded Sygate Personal Firewall and am using that. However, when I go on the internet webpages keep coming up "page cannot be displayed", but often, if I keep refreshing them the site will eventually load up after 2 or 3 refreshes. I've also noticed Internet Explorer will often "stick" and I'll get the hour-glass now and again and it'll take 30 seconds or so for IE to catch up. The pc is a brand new P4 with 512mb RAM and is connected to the internet via a broadband connection. I've tested the connection using my laptop and it works fine. Any ideas why pages won't load up on first attempt?

is there any way to fix this, i have tried everything i can think of but its not working

most (not all) sites sometimes just don't load and it says "looking up..." then times out, i have tried re-installing windows, reformatting, 7 different routers, 2 modems, a different network card and even my freinds internet connection (next door) and it STILL has the same blasted problem

i can't think what's causing it. i do not have this problem in vista, only xp. but xp is what i am using

am i the only 1 experiencing this and is there a way 2 fix it?

edit: its not the ISP btw, because it works on vista

For a few months now when I go to watch a video on youtube or open something in vlc it will play as normal showing volume is up but i won't get any sound for ~30 seconds then it will play. For sound in vlc it only won't play if its the first sound i wan't to play after booting, however for sound in chrome it happens even after i've played something with no sound for that 30 seconds. i notice it more frequently in embeded videos but it happens for anything. refreshing usually works but sometimes i have to refresh 3-5 times before it works again. i've double checked my sound device options and they're correct(since it still plays normal sometimes) and updated my drivers. I've also run scans for malware as well as ccleaner and like. i updated chrome java, and installed flash player interdependently. i know it seems like a small issue but it's driving me crazy and i cant figure out the cause of it. i can post specs and such but i think its software related so ill hold off on that for now. any help is greatly appreciated.

A:my facebook page on IE doesn't fully load

Couple of things you can try. Sometimes malware can cause problems for IE. Run a full updated scan using your installed anti-virus suite. No AV product is 100% effective 100% of the time (if there was such a thing we'd all be using it.) So I'd also run a couple of free on-demand scanners. The more scans you run that come back "no malware found" the more likely it is your computer is malware free.

Malwarebytes

ESET Online Scanner

SuperAntispyware

HitmanPro

Once you're reasonably sure your computer is malware free you could try resetting IE9 to its default settings.

Internet Explorer - Reset

If still no joy I'd check for any damaged or corrupt system files that might be interfering with IE. Run a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot the computer after each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If you're still having problems this Microsoft article has some additional suggestions including how to completely uninstall/reinstall IE9.

How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer in Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP

Please post back if anything helped or not.

cleared cache and cookies, reset computer and networking hardware, referenced adblock plus forums due to previous occurrence of issue last year.

Hello Bleepers.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I am seeing somewhat strange when running IE 9 on my windows 7 desktop of late:

whenever I go to certain pages examples youtube.com Grubhub.com I see the page loading up incorrectly 1st time and I have to refresh or hit F5 to properly get IE 9 to load the page.

screen shot of how it looks can be found here:

http://www.use.com/eafe30ec630d5f231852

Further I am seeing that when clicking on some links on websites in IE 9  (clinking on news links at www.fark.com for example) a pop up Error that reads "Internet explorer has stopped working"  appears but if I ignore that warning and close the box I can click the link again and the site comes up anyhow.

These issues do not occur in Chrome the pages loads fine 1st time and the links open fine so whatever I have it appears to be isolated primarily to IE 9.

Also my Bank page seems slow and is redirecting when I attempt to log in from Chase.com to mfasa.chase.com  (which could be normal and I've not noticed it or could be something more sinister.)  that occurs in either browser

Ran MBAM and TDS Killer which come up with Nada

Please advise.

thanks

Jeremy.

Issue
Our enterprise application makes use of Dojo/iFrames though the presence of the tabbing infrastructure used and other user interface features. As a user navigates through our application, multiple Dojo/iFrames/portlets are opened and closed and in other scenarios,
iFrames are reused as the content contained within them is reloaded.
We have observed the memory footprint in IE 11 grow as this normal application usage is performed to the point where IE 11 is consuming 3-4 GB of memory and eventually crashes.
We have observed the browser garbage collector is not cleaning un-referenced UI object and we see the is GC running for UI process.
The exact same application usage is not displaying the same memory footprint in the Chrome/FF browsers and therefore we are concluding that this is something specific to the internal memory management of the IE 11 browser.
Reproduction
It seems that similar memory management issues in IE11 have been reported on several other bug reports already logged such as:

Normal usage of our enterprise application highlights the issue in our case.
We have tried to use the IE developer tools to capture the memory heap but the usage of this tool is causing a memory leak in itself as the memory continuously increase as we utilize it. To properly check this behavior we had to monitor the windows
task manager and observe the memory footprint there as we used the application.
We need assistance to see what objects (if any) that the IE 11 brow... Read more

Hi guys, long time no see

I got a problem since some days ago: when trying to access a page for the first time it wont load, till i do refresh. It happens for example with a page of a site, like tech guy home, i refresh and it loads ok, then... i try to access news at same site and it wont load till i do refresh.

Then anytime i come again to same pages they load ok, untill i clean cache when it all happens again. It happens "ramdomnly", not with all the sites or pages.

win xp64, with any browser: ie7, opera 9.25, firefox 3.08

The only thing i´ve done to consider is modifying the hosts file, adding some google paths (i mean urls) for blocking inline adds, but since this happened i restored the old hosts list and it didn´t fix the problem, and i dont think that is the problem either.

I did a search on google and techguy for any similar problem but didnt find anything that help.

Thanx in advance. Fade

My page load times are between 5-30 seconds for some sites, mostly 10+, while they are between 0.5-2 for others. I have checked multiple of the slower pages with external tools and they all report under 3 secs of load time.
The same thing is happening on Firefox 38.0.1, IE 8 and Chromium portable.

I have tried multiple DNS servers, all tested to be fast, no difference. I guess the ip's are cached anyway...

The fun thing is, using Tor browser makes the slow ones load regularly (in about 1-3 secs).

My default search engine is Internet Explorer 8 and my Google homepage has started opening itself multiple times unexpectedly whenever I try to perform any actions. I ran Malwarebytes full scan, which I do daily and it found 18 items including multiple instances of Backdoor.bot I removed them and all seemed fine, but tonight it started again. I ran Malwarebytes again it found nothing. I tried researching the internet, without real success, I did find some links which looked useful, but when I tried to open them I was directed to the wrong site. I also use Google Chrome which has started opening blank pages alongside the page I am opening. Help please am I infected?

When I tried to post this topic it opened my google homepage opened again.

Hi, I'm not sure what is causing this problem, but the browser just crashes and will display : "Unable to access the network" along with Error 138 (net!!ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED) It does this out of the blue quite a few times during the day and I have to restart the computer to get the internet working again. It has nothing to do with my signal, the DSL signal is always there. I would also like to find out if any other malware is hiding in my computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary

I'm having a problem with my laptop, whatever the default browser is whether it's Google Chrome or Internet Explorer the browser opens rapidly over and over until i have to restart the system and when i do restart the problem persists. The only remedy i can seem to find would be taking out the battery and unplugging it from the power for a couple hours and the problem will stop for a while then come back. I've replaced the hard drive thinking that was the problem and the problem moved to that hard drive as well, then I system restored the hard drive to before this problem existed and it still continued to do it i even restored the computer to factory settings and it still happens. I don't have any antivirus sadly but i'm not to sure if that's the problem. I'm not sure if this is a virus or what it would just be good to get rid of it.

I have copied/pasted content into my excel workbook
After adjusting row height on any worksheet, I click print preview and I get the same page 20 - 24 times shown in the preview. That is print preview believes it has 20 - 24 pages to print all with the same content. Subsequent content (Beyond the first page) is not displayed.

this only happens after I adjust the row height of any worksheet and it affects all the worksheets
before any row height adjustments the sheets are displayed correctly in print preview
after height adjustment, I expect the sheets to grow to perhaps two pages long perhaps three at most - I cannot however see the second (or third page) in print preview, only the first and that is repeated over and over

I have tried:
Paste special - only paste the text, numbers etc. - result - same as above

Context: Several worksheets one for each client, have pasted past month's staff times from individual worksheets supplied into my single workbook.

Other times the screen will flash black 3 or 4 times very quickly, then everything seems normal.3. Something else has started to happen. I have Norton 360 and when I log in as Administrator, it works fine. When I log into my other user account (not an admin acct) it says my "Phishing protection is off" and my "browser is not set to detect fraudulent web sites or authenticate genuine Web sites". When I open Internet Explorer the Norton balloon opens which says: "For best results, we recommend you change your default phishing filter to Norton 360". Then it asks if I want to make this change now. When I click yes, it tells me it will not open in protected mode. So now I just click no and make sure the Phishing filter in the "tools" on the IE toolbar is on. I'm not sure what that's all about.Another problem (will it ever end) that started is when I do a search and pick one of the websites in the list, instead of opening a new tab like it always has, it wants to download it to my computer. Weird. I hope this made sense. Thanks again for your help.Cece

A few weeks ago internet explorer started to act funny, sometime when I opened a new browser window it would freeze in the new window, but allowed me to continue using the previously opened windows. I had to open several new windows until suddenly one of them worked. Then, the whole browser started freezing at random times, specially when clickin on links or opening new windows or tabs. I was not able to close it and reopen, I had to kill the processes using task manager, and even then, many times it would freeze on the first window.I tried several antivirus (Trendmicro, AVG, FProt, Eset, Panda) some would report some infected files, others none. After disinfecting with Panda, the browser seemingly started working fine again, but it only lasted for less than a week. After that the problems became more annoying every day.The last straw was that sometimes when turning on the PC it would freeze right before loading the windows explorer, so I could only see the background of my screen. Usually I rebooted and it will work, but today I had to reboot about 5 times before it worked again.Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks. i've been through the tools in my browser, and reset everything to absolute lowest settings. there are no restricted sites and no restricted settings (and never were). i uninstalled ver 6.1 and went to an older version, and nothing i try gets the pages loaded. not a single page on my home domain will load, although all other websites load as normal.
i installed netscape just to check, and it loads just fine on it, but won't load with IE.
i've ran norton corporate, browser hijacker, and lavasoft ad-aware 6 and they all say i'm clean.

what on earth is stopping my IE browser from loading the pages on my home domain? i'm at the end of my rope and any help greatly appreciated! i can't do any of the administration on my site because i can't load a single page.

hello & welcome to TSF ,

you need to post this in the (HiJack Log Help) forum of this site

if you truely do think it is because of an infection you need to follow this link & work thru the steps

http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...oval-help.html

but if you do not think it is an infection do this

do you have a Windows Xp cd, not the restore cd's that come with some systems, the cd will have the Windows logo & 3D hollowgram/image on it

if you do not maybe you can barrow one from a friend/family member/co-worker as long as it is the same version that is on your system

if you have (Windows XP Home Ed. sp2 ) then the cd will have to be that / if you have a cd with (Windows XP Home Ed. )you will have to slipstream (SP2 ) onto a disk that you create

this also applies to (Windows XP Professsional )

http://www.helpwithwindows.com/Windo...p2-bootcd.html

now if you do have the Windows XP cd with sp2 please follow these steps

--------------------------------------------

performing a (sfc) system file checker

It is a scan that checks the core files & dlls of the (os) operating system and replaces them if they are corrupt or missing with the correct original version

start

#1 then select (run) , then press enter
a window will open
#2 type in ( cmd ) then press enter
another window will open
#3 type in ( sfc )then press enter
another window will open
#4 type in (sfc /purgecache) then enter / your pc ... Read more

When that happens, if I go to another page, it will or will not load. If not, it shows the "cannot find page" site. My dsl router connections shows on, but not many or no packets. If I reboot or renew the connection, it might help for once or twice but then this happens again.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks!

Hello everybody.

I can't load any microsoft account login page in any browser on my laptop (running windows 8.1). Whether it is outlook, one drive, microsoft support forums, etc. Each time I try to load the login page I get the following errors:

In firefox: The connection was reset
In IE: This page cannot be displayed
In chrome: This webpage is not available

It was working up until yesterday, then all of sudden in the middle of the afternoon I couldn't access any microsoft login page.

As far as I can tell, these are the only pages that can't load. MSN works fine, any microsoft site works fine (outside of the login part of course). All other sites I have tried work just fine.

However, I can access my email in the Mail app that comes standard in windows 8.1 as well as on my android phone. Furthermore, I don't think that it is an ISP problem as I can easily access those pages on an old desktop computer I have and on my phone. It seems to be an issue with my laptop specifically.

I have tried restarting the computer (multiple times) and clearing the cache and cookies (multiple times).

If I can't fix this, I'm probably going to reinstall windows, but I really would like to save myself all the trouble that comes with that, especially since it's just one page that I can't get to load.

I really need help figuring this out. Any help and input would be greatly appreciated.

This time after completing the refresh my homepage (msn.com) doesn't fully load. The pictures don't load and I can't scroll through the main window. Also when I try to load MapQuest the map part of the site doesn't load.

I uninstalled IE11 and the reinstalled it and that made no difference. Most of the sites I visit seem to load ok, these two are the ones I noticed fail to fully load.

Is there some setting(s) in IE11 I'm missing or need to tweak?
Here are two screen shots of what they look like:

A:Some pages not fully loading after 'refresh' of Win 8.1

In IE11 go to Tools/Internet Options/Browsing History/Delete. Remove any cookies and other settings that you choose.
Power cycle your Modem/Router. (ie) unplug it, and wait a few seconds then plug it back in. Wait 5 minutes or so and try it again.
Test your internet connection. Go to speedtools.net if you are getting speeds less then the advertised speed you are paying for, speak with your ISP and have them test your lines.

If trying to google about this problem concerning windows update issues I also get the browser closing and restarting. Also no succes in Mozzila Firefox nor in Apple Safari. I tried all browsers with no success: windows update page is not working ( Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage), neither is it possible to update form Windows, I just can't get updates to work no matter I do.

When I tried to run Combofix to see the results, the computer freezes and I need to shutdown and restart.
I scanned my computer with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and I didn't get any objects infected.
What advice can you give me?
Thanks in advance.

PS: also on this page in this post when I tried to paste the windows update adress(link) I could not post, I get "This webpage is not available." in chrome.
In Safari: Safari can’t open the page “http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?”. The error is: “unknown error” (kCFErrorDomainWinSock:10052)
And it is only because I pasted the adress of windows update site I could not post it no matter what browser I use.

(Using IE6 on XP)

Hi!

When I have multiple browser windows open and I am viewing one window, I get automatically switched to another window when page loading in that window completes. It's quite distracting; is there a setting I can change to prevent this?

Thanks for any help!

A:How to prevent multiple browser windows switching on load complete?

Hello letsgodiving

I have had a look around in the IE settings and I cant see something that will prevent this. I know it is possible in IE7 and Firefox.
