I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, I have a new T530 with Windows 8 OS. I am having trouble using the integrated camera. It functions neither in the Windows camera app nor in Skype. In both cases I get a picture with a gray background and a camera with a line through it. In Device manager, the camera does appear, is enabled, and the drivers are up to date. After looking through other threads, I tried checking whether the camera was plugged in and indeed it was. When using Skype and I set the camera to on (Skype did detect the camera), I still got the gray no camera image, but the green light on the camera itself turned on.I also tried using Fn+F6 to check settings. Lenovo settings opens, but the when I click the camera settings Icon, the screen loads a blank page that says "Camera" in the top right and has a back button (left pointing arrow) in the top left hand corner. The back button does not seem to work and I must change the window to something else in order to exit/close settings.I tried manually installing both camera drivers and "power management" ("energy management"?) drivers. Neither of this solved either of these issues. Please help me to resolve this problem. Thank you.

Hi, euterpenc

I would make sure that the BIOS is up to date in the system. The current BIOS for your system is 2.07 and can be found here. Also, I would ensure that the chipset drivers are up to date, and those can be found here.

Hope it helps, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Hi All, I've Deployed so far 3 Lenovo E580's using the April 2018 SCCM Package availiable on the Lenovo Downloads page for this, It all installs perfectly however I've noticed now with all three laptops the integrated camera is not working. Windows is not detecting a camera is installed on the system. Checking Device Manager, Integrated Camera is showing with a Yellow Warning Triangle when you try to update from Windows or from Location an error message is displayed 'The Install Class is not present or valid' I've removed the drivers and manually installed again and same issue persists.I've reinstalled USB Root Hub, No help.I've Updates BIOS and ran all the latest updates When Looking into Event Viewer i've noticed the class guid is showing as 00000 000000 0000 00000. I'm not running an N version of windows, this is on a 64 Bit Windows 10 Pro 1703. Any help greatly appreciated!!

A:G470 - Bluetooth not working after installing Windows 10 on G470

Hi ashu2000 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking on the Lenovo supported systems list for Windows 10 Upgrade ,  "not listed, it hasn?t been tested for Windows 10 upgrade and is not supported. " for the G570 .

Same reasons why on the support site , drivers for windows 10 is not available.

There are claims that it works ok but some have reported devices and apps not working after the upgrade.
You may check related threads here .

Would there be any yellow or black down arrow marks on the device manager .
If that is the case , then you may want to try checking the hardware ID to download specific driver directly from the manufacturer if the Windows 8.1 version driver would not help.
Example for Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver or use windows updates to install appropriate drivers

On device manager , you may also use built in drivers in Windows 10  doing upgrade drivers and, browse on this pc , let me pick option, and choose recommended ones on the list .

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hi! My mother bought this laptop a couple of years ago, and after a year and a half or so it started having problems with some software (you know how mothers are!), so she gave it to a neighbour of hers so that he would format it and reinstall Windows. Originally, the laptop came with Windows 8, and for reasons I don't know, this neighbor deleted all the HDD partitions and install Windows 7 instead; that means you have no way of performing a factory reset. From that moment on, the camera stopped working; it doesn't even appear in the device manager. All other features - audio, video, WiFi, etc. - work properly; it's just the camera which has the problem. So my mother talked to me about this, and I've been trying to solve this issue without success. I tried installing Windows 10; nothing. I tried installing Windows 8.1; nothing. I tried installing the camera drivers, but it says there's nothing to install the driver to. I've read that some people recommend an activation of the camera via BIOS, but I'm unable to find such an option in the BIOS of this computer. Others recommend a Fn + Esc sequence that, to be honest, doesn't even do anything. The thing is that I'm getting crazy with this stuff, and that's why I'm asking you people whether you can help me with this. I'll appreciate any comments regarding this. Thank you in advance!!

Hello, I've been having a problem with Windows 10 no longer detecting the integrated camera in an E545. This problem began several months ago, after one of the major windows 10 updates. I didn't notice it at first since I rarely used the camera, but it's always bothered me that it no longer functions or is detected. At first I tried installing the Windows 7, and later, the Windows 8 driver but all I got was the following message box: Realtek Bluetooth suite can't run on WindowsThis app may decrease PC security or performance. Check for an updated app that runs on this version of Windows. I was hoping that the new anniversary update would fix this problem (since that last one caused it) but it hasn't. The laptop has never been dropped so I doubt the problem is due to a loose wire or something along those lines. I've also tried a total Windows refresh and that didn't help either. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Hi, I got a ThinkPad E460 running Windows10 Pro.  The integrated camera was working before but when I tried to use Skype for the first time in a few months this morning, video didn't show.  Then I ran the Camera app in Win10 and it gave me the error code 0xA00F4271(0x80070005) even though it was shown as "working" in Device Manager.  The camera still doesn't work after deleting it in Device Manager and letting Win10 reinstall by itself, updating the camera driver, checking the privacy settings, etc.  I don't know if this is related or not, but the integrated mic was missing in Device Manager before I found out that the camera was not working.  I updated the audio driver and the mic started working again. Is there anything else that I can do to fix the camera?  Thanks in advance!

Some AV Security software, such as Kapersky AV, will sometimes block the camera access, so check to see if yours has such a feature. Other thing to try is to completely remove the existing camera driver to see if it has become corrupted.   In windows, just uninstalling and reinstalling will not install a clean copy, unless you make sure to check the box during the uninstall to "Delete the driver software for this device".    If left unchecked, it will just reuse the existing driver, and if already the latest version, attempts to reinstall the same driver again will not always replace all files since they already exist. Also make sure to install all of the latest Chipset drivers, or better yet, run the Lenovo's ThinkVantage System Update (TVSU) and update all of the drivers to the latest version.      Sometimes it seems to find updates that fix issues that manually updating misses.. I would hold of on any BIOS updates except as a last resort, however, since they sometimes go bad, and when they do, they go really bad and can leave your system bricked.. ThinkVantage System Update (TVSU)https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht080136 Good Luck,

Hi. I can't get the webcam to work. I got this laptop around mid June of this year. Tried to use the webcam for the first time today, Nothing. My device manager doesn't even list a camera. I tried to intall the driver (twice) to see if that would help, but as far as I can see, it's had exactly 0 effect. I downloaded the lenovo settings app, and it's not there, either. At least, I see no setting options for it. But this model of laptop supposedly has a webcam built in, and my model looks pretty much exactly like the others I see on google images, except for a circly light thing in the strip where the camera is supposed to be. I have no idea what the hardware/wiring should even look like so I can't help there. I've been at this for hours. At this point I would just buy a webcam off Amazon or something if I could be sure that the laptop would actually register it.

I recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad S300 running Windows 8 and initially had difficulty in getting it to update but, with help from several websites, managed to resolve this problem. However, I never managed to get the integrated webcam to work. The application would launch but the camera screen is blank. Device Manager advises that the device is working properly and the drivers are up-to-date. Incidently, this particular notebook does not have the hotkey (F9) to switch the integrated camera on/off but, I understand, on later versions Fn+Esc is supposed to perform the same function; it does not. The system has two associated programs, Lenovo EasyCamera and Lenovo YouCam.

More recently I have updated to Windows 8.1 but the integrated webcam still does not work. Can anyone please advise what I might be doing wrong or what I could do to get the webcam to work. I'm a bit of a newbie, particularly as far as Windows 8 is concerned. Regards.

Have you tried re-installing the webcam driver? I have a Lenovo at home and mine was ok when I upgraded, but I removed all the Lenovo drivers for the webcam. (As I hate all the rubbish companies put onto new equipment)

Also when you run the camera app does it detect a camera? Usually Windows 8 will ask for a camera to be plugged in. If it shows a blank image does the white light next to the lens turn on?

A:Lenovo G470 atikmpag.sys problem

hi jm9327,

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

The G470 with a dual GPU (Intel+AMD), uses a muxless driver (this is a custom driver that switches the discrete AMD Graphics to the Intel Graphics to save power). If you have installed a different driver, this may cause system instability (including BSOD).

If you're running on Windows 7, try the following::

1. Follow this guide on how to disable automatic driver installation.
2. Install these drivers in order (reboot if necessary)
(1st)  - Intel Onboard Graphics Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit)
   (2nd)  - AMD Video Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)

When finished, check if the yellow exclamation marks are gone under Device Manager > Display Adapters and observe the screen resolution adjustment and BSOD occurrence.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards

(I am only writing this because my parents refuse to listen to me and they want "Lenovo" to help me with this problem.)So I own a Lenovo G470 (Ideapad) that I bought in 2011. About 7 months ago, the laptop's hinges started to become lose and then since 4-5 months, bits and pieces of the laptop case keep falling apart/breaking around the hinges. It was a bit bothersome but nothing too serious. However, last week the laptop's screen became tilted (??) like one hinge/side is up and the other is down. It's almost diagonal. And the wire connecting to the laptop screen is exposed (i dont know how) maybe because the hinge's piece broke so the wire is exposed and it's almost on the verge of breaking too. (Ill be attaching the pics of the laptop below.)My warranty expired ages ago. But I dont mind paying for the repair. Is there a way if I contact a real Lenovo store nearby and ask them to "repair" my broken laptop. My parents would rather spend 80-140 dollars repairing this than buy me a new 700/800 dollar laptop.Honestly, if some of you wanna tell me that this laptop is beyond repair, believe me I know! If you think you have a flat tire do you keep on going until the tire disintegrates and you destroy the rim? That's what you did to your own laptop. You should've taken action as soon as you noticed something is happening with the hinge. There's not much you can do right now to fix it. Only thing I'd advise is to find a broken one online with the body intact (at least when it comes to the bottom part and hinges). e.g. with a smashed screen and make a transplant. Have it done by a professional if you can't do it on your own.

What I tried by now:  - Stopped antivirus and firewall to exclude any possible blockage on that side - Uninstall/reinstall the driver in Device Manager (I downloaded the driver for Win10 from Lenovo Support site) - Run Windows Troubleshooter (no issue found) - uninstall Windows Camera app (WindowsPowershell) and reinstall it from the Store - checked all the camera settings and privacy settings (Settings-Privacy-Camera + Other Devices) - System scan (sfc /scannow). Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. - Latest Windows updates are installed Is there any compatibility issue between T410 and Windows 10? Can you help with any idea? I'm out of ideas. Please help!  P.S. After upgrade I also had issues with the microphone, but after I applied some fixes described here, I fixed it

A:How to free space on my Lenovo G470 drive D:

What is on the "Lenovo D: drive"?

Please attach a screen shot of the Disk Management window, as that sometimes helps us understand your issue. If you need help with that see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows 7 or Vista I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.

sorry for my bad english~ ASIAN PEOPLE BAD AT ENGLISH

A:Batteries Charge only 50% for Lenovo G470, is it normal??

Which version of Windows you have shouldn't affect how your battery is charged up so it's probably just coincidence.

You may be needing a new battery. Do you have anyone nearby who can check the battery for you?

Your English is better than my non-existent Malaysian!

H guys, I have Lenovo G50-80, i7 and today my camera stopped working. I can see the light is on, but the screen is black. Occassionally the picture appears, but it's frozen. I tried updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the cam and drivers again, but nothing seems to be working. I ran diagnostics and this is what I got (attachment). Is it time to buy an external camera, or this one can be fixed? Thank you so much

Does anyone have a solution for this? Best regards,Cooper Webdesign
