interactive text editors on a website

Q: interactive text editors on a website

Are there any text editors that can be put on my website to enable my customers to type their own text? The catch is that I need the alignment "Justify", not just left or center. It is to justify their own text in a text box on a card that they are designing. Is there such a thing?

I want them to see a preview of their text as it would print. I really need full justification and interactive on my site.

Any suggestions?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

The easiest way to fix this is to do a system restore. This should fix the problem.

Please, someone help me figure this out. I have tried everything from using different file types to using different internet browsers. A few months ago I had a serious CryptoWall 3.0 infection. Thanks to a very helpful person on this site, I was able to eradicate the virus by using a number of different softwares and virus protectors. However, ever since then, anytime I go to a site that uses an HTML editor, for example Tumblr, creating a website on Wix or uploading images for a listing on Etsy, it tells me my image is not a supported file type. I have used ALL file types, so please do not offer this as a solution. However, if I upload an image to Twitter, deviantART, or an email, it works perfectly fine. According to a route scanner that Tumblr support did, something on my computer is blocking the upload of the images. I have tried disabling all of my anti-virus software, as well, and that doesn't work, either. How do I fix this? I am an artist starting my own business and I NEED to be able to upload images to promote my own work. Please, someone help me. I'll tell more information should it be needed and asked for. I'd love for one of the helpers on this site who knows their way around a computer to help me, as I'm out of ideas. Thanks.

Issue: All Chinese characters I try to view in text editors are being displayed as squares.

I can view the file in a browser (Chrome) and the Chinese characters appear correctly, but in text editors they are squares.

Background: I recently installed Windows 7 Service Pack 1 along with many other updates. I had not been installing any updates (yeah I know) but I wanted to be able to edit files with Chinese characters in them, so I installed all the available updates.

After I restarted the first time, I was delighted to see that the characters which were squares before were now legible Chinese characters. However, when I restarted again, the characters were back to squares.

I checked for updates and saw a few optional updates were available. I installed them, restarted, and the characters were back to being legible. I restarted again and the characters returned to being squares.

Now there are no available updates and the characters still display as squares. This happens no matter what text editor I use, be it Notepad++, Sublime Text, or plain old Notepad. The file is encoded with UTF-8 (it's been that way during both when I could see the characters and when I couldn't). It also happens no matter what font I use.

How can I fix this issue?

I am not an expert in this area. I am simply sharing my experience to help other users who may be experiencing the same thing.I saw a recommendation for Lazarus Form Recovery Add-on for FF (I use FF 10). The current release through FF is 2.3, but there is a new release v3.0.5 on their website. In addition, the new version is available for Chrome and Safari, and all three can be downloaded directly from Interclue. Honestly, if you're not having trouble or not using services like Gmail, and/or you have trouble losing data due to server problems, connection disruptions, etc., it's a great tool to have. I look forward to being able to use it again!I had noticed that on certain sites that used Rich Text editors that I would experience frequent pauses during which my keystrokes weren't buffered (recorded). I type pretty fast when I get going, so I found this supremely annoying, especially when I was writing email on Gmail or writing a post on a forum that uses RTE. The pauses happened more frequently the faster I typed, so I would often have to go back and fix the errors created by the pauses. Grrrrrrr I looked through my add-ons and only found one that interacted with typing - Lazarus 2.3. As soon as I disabled it, the problem stopped.I then contacted the author via email and explained my problem. I asked to know if v3.0.5 might resolve this problem. This was his response: Lazarus 2.3 has some serious architectural problems that manifested itself when sav... Read more

Hi,

I am currently looking in to making 360 photo's for a website

I can take the photos and stitch them together, the part i am stuck at is making them interactive. (for example google street view? Not that level of sophistication though. )

Is there any free or paid software out there that will allow me to do this? or even a guide?

Many thanks

Spud

(Sorry if this is the wrong area)

A:Interactive 360 Photo for website

I remember when realtors found out about this. Almost every property on any agents website had a "virtual tour".
Anyway, do a search on QTVR (or Quicktime Virtual Reality). A lot of pano stitching software has it as an export option. One good one is Panoweaver, haven't used it myself but it has good reviews.

I am having trouble getting Windows XP to log on automatically. I work at an IT Help Desk which assists many remote users over a VPN connection. One of our biggest annoyances is having to call users back every 10 minutes to log themselves back in and reconnect after we had to restart their computer for whatever reason, so I'm figuring out how to make the computers reconnect on their own.

I made the basic registry changes so that the machine can login by itself. The problem is that these machines are all on a domain with a local security policy that includes Interactive Logon Text, which basically means that right after you hit ctrl-alt-delete to get to the login screen, a nice little box comes up that warns "Authorized Users Only." Once you hit ok, the auto login is successful. How can I get rid of this box? I can't change security policy and temporarily taking the machine off the domain just for that is a real pain.

I made a simple vbs script that sends the "enter" key. Is there a way to make scripts run right after ctrl-alt-delete is pressed?

So it seems pretty strange that as an IT guy, I get the strangest of the strange issues with my own computer. One of the issues that I've realized is that for the most part i have problems seeing any interactive weather information from various weather sites. This includes intellicast.com and wunderground.com. I prefer to use Google Chrome (latest update), but I've tried using IE 11 as well. The only one that seems to work is wunderground on IE and that is hit or miss.

My computer is running Windows 7 x64. We currently have Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 installed, and I also have Java 7u67 and Flash 14 installed.

Has this been a known issue or what else could be causing this? Not super important, but not knowing for a long time has been bothering me. Could it be firewall related, and if so is there a way to know? Typically if our firewall blocks something there is a notification on the page that Watchguard has prevent it's access... this doesn't happen in this case.

Thanks!

A:Weather Website Interactive Maps; Browsers have issues with overlays

I find that problems of this nature are usually "Flash" or "JavaScript" related.  Possibly your AV is blocking some elements of either from certain sites?
With the exception of intellicast, I haven't had problems with any of the weather related sites that I frequent.  Among those, wunderground, weather.com, the weather broadcasts from local affiliate stations(CBS, Fox, etc).
With the interactive map on intellicast, it takes several seconds trying to "initialize the map" and then gives the messages:
Attention Required
Map unable to load
The Map loading has timed out.
Probably because I'm blocking several google elements on the page as well as beacons from other sites.
Don't believe Java is your problem in this case, I don't have it installed and that hasn't caused me any problems.
Almost forgot, I'm not using IE 11 or Google Chrome, but I am running Windows 7 x64 SP1 and (soon to be replaced)McAfee LiveSafe.

I use Google Chrome, and every website will load as text first, and I have to reload it about 1-3 times to get it to go back to normal. Some websites load, but when you click something, it doesn't work. I tried to use Pirate Bay about a month ago, and by doing that it made me download some search engine called 22find.com. I'm thinking that could be the cause of this? I didn't like it being on my computer, so I unistalled it from Google Chrome. It didn't go away though. If I click the icon on the bottom of my screen, 22find is the homepage. If I click the shortcut, it is the normal start page. This website spread to Internet Explorer too, I can't seem to figure out how to remove it from there as well. I used CCleaner, and found another program that Pirate Bay installed, and removed that thinking it would get rid of 22find, it didn't. I have contacted 22find by email twice, and they have not responded. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry if this doesn't belong in this category, I didn't really know where it fit.

A:Every website I go to shows up as text only.

I realized that all I needed to do was update Adobe. Now they everything loads fine. If anyone could still help me with figuring out how to uninstall 22find, I would still really appreciate it.

How do you explain all of a sudden losing the ability to read the text on a web page that you have been reading for nearly a year? All of a sudden...poof...the text stops showing up on my browser.

A:Trouble viewing text at a website

The only think I can think is maybe the color changed and your settings aren't seeing it, or somehow your settings were changed. Did you try highlighting the text...maybe it is in white? Check your settings for viewing webpages.

Also check under Tools, Interent Options, Temp Int Files, check the option that says "check for newer version of stored pages automatically"...not sure if that will work or not either, just thinking of things I'd try.

So i wasn't sure where to put this exactly so i just chose in here hoping someone could help.

I am having an issue on a specific website, and their tech has basically told me its my issue not theirs (even though other people are experiencing similar problems but not the same). http://tinypic.com/r/fto55f/5

The above link or picture of the issue i'm having.
Basically there is a line of tabs at the top that start with the tab "Members" however if you notice there is a second line of text behind it jumbling the words. That second line is actually ANOTHER row of tabs that are supposed to take me to other areas on the site including my messages etc. This tab is hung behind the "members" line of tabs and i can not get to any of those other tabs. That line is supposed be ABOVE the members tab line.

The only thing i have changed is getting a different computer monitor. Their tech support walked me through using the computer monitor display settings to no avail and also through using Internet Explorer "view" settings to no avail. In addition i tried using the internet options under the tools settings but couldn't find anything dealing with this problem that i could change.

All i did was literally unplug my old Monitor that quit working, and plug this new one in, and the website started showing up like this, so maybe it is me. However other people on the site have complained to them that they are getting double text. For instance on t... Read more

I have somehow lost my shortcut to a text file that is somewhere within the MS system or perhaps within the FIREFOX browser system. You add the address of the website to the list, give it a unique IP address from the others in the list and it keeps that website from coming up when someone tries to get to it.

What is the name of that file and where can it be found???

I hope this is enough information and that someone knows what I'm talking about.

A:Trying to ban a website by adding it to a special text file..

Hosts File

@tepeco, I think you are looking for the "Hosts" file, which, in a Windows installation, can be found here: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc. The file itself has no extension.

By-the-way, etc is the actual name of a folder.

Hope this helps.

Hi, whenever I click on something which results in a new tab being opened in IE9, the text in the tab header shows Google momentarily as if its searching to find the url I am supposed to be heading to and then the correct url text is displayed along with the desired webpage. I cant really take a screen shot because it happens quite quickly but I am interested to find out why this is happening.

Its probably a setting in Google toolbar options to try and speed up loading of tabbed pages but I just cant find it.

If anyones knows, could they let me know please.

A:Google text displayed in new tab title before going to chosen website

That's actually normal behavior. Google has their own kind of redirect/linking system that they use for their search engine. Rather than link directly to the sites they display, they create links on their own servers (which links displayed in their search results) that redirect to the site that you click on. It's sort of similar to how tinyurl and other URL-shortening websites work: you click on a seemingly unrelated link that quickly redirects you to the site you want. I'm not sure what purpose this serves for Google, since the links are usually much longer than the ones they resolve to, but rest assured that the behavior you're seeing is completely normal. That's how it works for everyone.

Really weird issue here.  I'm the IT guy for a law firm.  One of the lawyers contacted a company because their website had text  with links, for odd things in the middle of some of their pages.  It wasn't making links out of existing text, it was inserting text in the middle of the page.  They told him it was on his end, maybe a dns ip redirect.  I pulled up the same site on my machine (Win7, firefox), and got the same weird ads.  Tried it on another machine (XP, firefox) and got the same ads.  Tried Chrome and IE on both computers, still got the ads.  They aren't just highlighted words with links, it's text, with a few words as links.  When I save the page, the text gets saved as text in the html file.  I connected to my home computer with gotomypc, and tried from there, and the page loaded normally, no extra text, no links, no ads.  Tried a couple more computers at work, they all have the extra text ads/links.  I'm stumped.  Malwarebytes finds nothing.  Happens on XP and Win7, with all three browsers.  No unusual browser extensions.  If I ping the website, it doesn't respond, obviously, but it does go to the same IP address from work as it does from home, so it doesn't appear to be a full-blown DNS redirect.  Doesn't seem to happen with any other websites (I haven't exactly tried every website out there, but the two of us haven't noticed it on any other website we've been to tod... When these pages are viewed on a PC with either Internet Explorer or Netscape they look perfectly normal. However, when viewed on a MAC using Netscape (no access to a MAC using IE so who knows??) there is a huge amount of white space between the last line of the text and the section where the drop down menu is.

Have tried just about everything recommended to improve performance and am at my wits end. Does anybody have good advice regarding reg editors? Don't want to start monkeying with the registry and really mess things up! I ran a scan with RegCure and it posted over 1200 errors but am not about to buy a product I am unsure of. Anything free out there?

A:Registry Editors

Most people here, including me, don't recommend using registry cleaners. They can delete things that can cripple your computer. I've done it to mine a few times. But, if you feel you need to do something there is THIS SITE which is Micro$oft's One Care that will go through your registry. Since it is their program, XP, it might be OK. But I'm not endorsing it. It too might do something wrong. I've used it a couple of times and so far nothing bad has happened. You can also click on Start, Run and do a sfc /scannow it will run a check on your system files and repair or replace them. You must have your XP disc in and sit there while it's running, because it won't always find the file it's looking for and you need to click on the "retry" button. It takes about 40 to 45 minutes on my computer...I'm sure someone else will come along with more advice soon and you can ponder all of it and decide what to do, or not do.Good Luck...

are there any powerful 5.1 ch audio editors which are compliant with AC3?If not, are there any 5.1ch AC3 plugins for conventional editors?

A:Powerful 5.1 ch editors

5.1, for that one would think that you would need professional grade software. I've never done much audio editing, but i hear really good things about ACID and SoundForge from sony. Not cheap though. ther is also audacity, which is what i use, but i dont kniow about 5.1 on that.

In "My Music" I have two sorts of files. Those I have downloaded from KaZaAlite, and those I have got off CD's using XP Media Player.

All the audio editors I have tried (including one that was suggested on this forum) either won't save the results as an mp3 (illegal?) or won't open certain files.

I do belly dancing and the tracks I have are maybe 15min long but the dance is 3min in the middle of the song! I was successful in chopping a song I downloaded off Kazaa (before Power Audio Editor run out of free time) but with the new audio editors I have tried, they will not open songs I have got from CD (Copywrite??).

Since I am only using the demo versions I wonderd if the purchased software would do the trick, but ranging in price from $5 - $345 I am unwilling to pay the price until I know more (and you can double those US dollars to equal NZ dollars!).

I have been advised elsewhere to leave all such software well alone, or at least treat with caution - particularly it seems if downloaded from CNET.  Would this forum's readers agree (or make any particular exceptions)?

A:Registry Editors

The official Bleeping Computer stance on Registry Cleaners which I assume is what you mean and not Registry Editors is as follows:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/407147/answers-to-common-security-questions-best-practices/?p=2853053

I'm looking for a free photo editor I can download. I've used Picasa in the past but it seems to be a bit over encompassing. It picks out every face within every photo ever taken. I found face pictures of strangers only to find out they were way in the background of the pictures I have taken. I'm looking for something basic, user friendly and does a nice job in correcting sharpness, brightness/contrast, crops, etc., all the basics.

Here's some Image Editor suggestions.

Most Image Viewers can perform the simple tasks you mentioned.

I use Irfanview as my default Image Viewer, then when I need more editing power, I switch to Photoshop
The freeware Gimp would be the Freeware Editor to closest to the power of Photoshop.
There's no sense in using a complicated and possibly slow Image editor to perform basic editing tasks

Hello there.
I'm currently using HxD for...well, my Hex Editing needs. It's pretty great, but a big problem is that it can only compare 1 difference during each search. It's okay for when I'm expecting to find only 1 difference, but in most cases, I need to find the locations of tons and tons of differences.
What I'm looking for; A hex editor that can Compare between 2 files, and find all/multiple differences at the same time.

Thank you in advance

Hi I'm doing some djing and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good audio editor - I'd like to cut up my songs (shorten them, loop them...) etc.
I'm not looking for a HugE program - something of decent size.

Gimme some Feedback.

Hi everybody :
I'm thinking about switching to Windows 10. One question I have is.......what photo editor is compatible ? Currently....using Windows 7.....I'm using PhotoShop Elements 12 / 32-bit. But, it seems with Windows 10, the only version of PhotoShop Elements is "PhotoShop Elements 2020", which comes in 64-bit version. But, my System is 32-bit system. Advice ?
