Offline files - Unable to make files of this type

Q: Offline files - Unable to make files of this type

Offline files - Unable to make ..... Files of this type cannot be made available offline.
I am trying to figure out what to do. It is a word document for address labels. When we go to shut down the computer the sync comes on and then stops with this error message. What can I do to get this to stop coming up? Thanks.

Preferred Solution: Offline files - Unable to make files of this type

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For some reason all the files in all my network drives decided to make themselves avalible offline. There were some pretty big files and i don't want them to eat up all my disk space but the "make avalible offline" box (when you right click on the drive) is checked and greyed out. How do I make the files unavalible offline so I can get my space back?

A:How To Make Files No Longer Avalible Offline?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196646Anytime XP is not behaving as it should, the cause can always be file corruption. One way to deal with such would be to run sfc /scannow, which replaces missing/corrupt system files. And, of course, a simple running of chkdsk may correct minor things in XP.Louis

Hi Everyone,

I have a challenge regarding the recovery of 'offline files' in Windows 7 Professional (x64).

The challenge relates to a laptop computer that was initially setup in my companies head office (Victoria, Australia). The laptop was added to the head office Domain, and given access to a 'Shared Files' location ("S" Drive) on the head office File Server. Furthermore a section of the 'Shared Files' (the users personal documents - e.g.: Documents, Music, Pictures, etc) - called 'User Files' - was made Available Offline.

Later the user of the laptop was promoted and relocated to a satellite office (New South Wales, Australia), and no 'maintenance work' was performed on the computer before it was moved. The satellite office does not have access to the 'Shared Files' (Victoria) and it does not use the same Domain (in fact it uses a Workgroup).

For about six months the computer has been used in the new location - it still thinks that it is on the Domain, and that is has access to 'Shared Files' - so in essence everything that has been saved on the computer (to 'Documents, Music, Pictures, etc) has been saved to the CSC (Cient Side Cache).

Today the staff member using this laptop in the satellite office has bought to my attention the fact that he can no longer see 'Shared Files'.

I have Googled this issue; and came across the following instructions concerning how to 'backup' the Offline Files - Offline Files Storage Location Windows 7 - however as there is n... Read more

Hi,
I'm sitting with a big issue at a customer and ask for your help.
Environment:
- 3x Windows 2008 R2 file servers configured in DFS
- approx. 500x Windows 7 clients (Laptops)
- 3x network shares, Common1, Common2 and Homefolder.
- "Offline Files" and "Folder Redirection" enabled for entire user profile.
- Everything is controlled by GPOs and there are no login scripts.
Symptom:
Due to some faulty settings in the client GPO and the fact that the "Common" shares was set to allow Offline Caching of files and folders, the majority of clients now suffer from sync issues and conflicts.
Most of the conflicted files are located in the users home folder, but some users are also seeing the same issues with files located on the "Common" shares. The users themselfes are not allowed to enable Offline Files as this is disabled by GPOs.
The only folders that should be treated as Offline Files are the ones in the users home folder.
Solution:
A new set of GPOs have been created that correctly set up "Offline Files" and "Folder Redirection". These are linked to a test-OU and the computers and users applied to that OU are not suffering from the problems above.
Question:
When we move a client, the cache will be deleted and all non-sync'd work will be lost.
Today we manually look at every users sync center and try to resolve the conflicts before we move them to the new OU. This is extremely time consuming when... Read more

I am having MAJOR problems with multiple versions of the same file showing in the SAME folder, depending on which computer I am accessing the folder from.

Error Code: 0x800710FE. I have tried the recommended temporary file deletion process in 'Sync Center' but this has not worked, although it did work on my other workstation.

Basically there are 3.9GB of undeletable temporary offline files on this workstation that are causing me nightmare 'ghost' problems.

I also tried the MS TechNet routine in the registry, but this did not work either (unless I have done something wrong).

Any ideas?!

Hi,
I've got a situation here whereby .TMP files are appearing in network directories, and the files are going missing. The size of the TMP file matches the original file.
I'm trying to narrow down the issue, because I think there may be two problems here.
1. Offline Files are enabled, to allow profile redirection.    It seems that this is also by default, is allowing Clinet Side Caching when there are network issues.  Does the original file (.doc for example)  get renamed
as a HR234.TMP for example when the Slow link detection sees slow performance?
2.  If the above TMP file is created when there are network issues, should this resolve itself (sync itself back to the network) when performance improves?
Currently we are in a situation where we have a department that have files missing from many network shares, all the missing files seemlingly replaced with a .TMP file, so do we have to go round to every machine in the department, and manually
sync them to resolve this?

We have an issue where Offline Files is synchronising files in Shares B, C, D. We only want synchronisation to occur in Share A (Home). To date we have tried the following:

Reformatting the Offline Files database
Selecting the option to NOT cache on the share's properties on our File server.
Added Shares B, C, D to GPOM as destinations (drive letters) to not include in Offline Folders rule.
Added .pst extension to the GPOM as a file type to not include in Offline Folders rule.
Turned off the Slow Link option in GPOM.

Despite all of these settings being active there are files in B, C and D that are still being made available offline. After the database is reset and Sync Center is allowed to resync Share A, it automatically syncs the exact same files that we do not want.
So this must be stored in a list associated to a particular user somewhere but we have no idea where to find it, we have looked in AppData for multiple users but cannot find what we hope to see in terms of settings for Sync Center or Offline Files.
I should note that the files in Share B, C and D appear to have been accessed in the past where perhaps there once was a Slow Link detected, but now Sync Center is constantly including those files for any particular user. Example: I may have accessed files
1, 2 and 3 during a Slow Link being detected and they always now become available offline for me, user 2 accessed files 4, 5 and 6 and so those files for that user are now always being made available... Read more

Problem: When I try and make a file online only on OneDrive I get an "unspecified error" message (see attachment).
This test file was created in the root folder of OneDrive (../Documents/OneDrive/OneDrive sync test.txt) and so there's no over-long path and no problematic characters.

I've tried diagnostic utilities but they don't come up with anything.

I'd really like to make good use of the 10TB worth of storage I have on OneDrive backing up my hi-res FLAC collection, which is substantial, but currently if I uploaded these to OneDrive my laptop's 500GB SSD would get filled up within a very short time. My 32 bit desktop doesn't have this problem.

Has anyone any ideas.

Thanks.

Folder si offline but when I add new file the file is synced to server within 10 or 20 minutes. I've checked last sync interval but it didn't change. It isn't same as time when file was uploaded to server. Last sync was eq. 16:00 but file was uploaded at
16:15.
Folder is still offline. How is it possible?

My offline files seems to work offline all the time, even when it shows me being online. I sync most of my business files to my laptop for working at home at night.

When I edit a file from my Win 7 (pro, 64-bit) laptop, then go to edit it again, I get the version I had changed, but no one else does. This is causing huge difficulty, because my employees will start working in a sales forecast spreadsheet after I reconnect to the network and supposedly sync, but they don't get the latest version. Even doing a manual sync seems to make no difference.

It seems that if someone else edits something on the network share, it does update to my laptop, but when I update something, it doesn't transfer so that everyone else can use it?

Where should we begin looking?

A:Offline files doen't update files changed locally

It may help if you enable transparent caching which can be enabled through Group Policy. I'm not sure this is the same problem but it seems to apply to your problem.

Windows 7 introduces a new feature for Offline Files & Folders called “Transparent Caching”. With transparent caching, the first time a user opens a file in a shared folder, Windows 7 reads the file from the server and then stores it in a cache on the computer’s hard disk drive.

The second and subsequent times a user reads the same file, Windows 7 retrieves the cached file from disk instead of reading it from the server. To provide data integrity, Windows 7 always contacts the server to ensure the cached copy is up-to-date.

The cache is never accessed if the server is unavailable and updates to the file are always written directly to the server. Transparent Caching is not enabled by default and can be enabled through Group Policy at Computer configuration | Administrative Templates | Network | Offline Files | Enable Transparent Caching.

Hi,
I already searched through alot of threads but could not find anyone having the exact same issue.
We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with SP1 which is hosting a DFS Namespace.
A customer of us works with his notebook (Win 7 SP 1) and has enabled Offline Files for his personal folder
in the DFS path. The initial synchronisation seemed to work and no sync errors are reported in Sync Center.

Now the problem is, everytime he opens a document from his DFS path and saves it, a .tmp file gets
created there and doesnt disappear. Not even after reboot. As far as i know it happens with Word, Excel and PDF documents.

If I log on to the server and browse to his path, i cannot see those .tmp files, only he can see it.
If I try to delete those files from his notebook I get an error "File is no longer located in... Verify the itemīs location and try again".
What I have tried so far:
If Offline Files get disabled, those .tmp files disappear. On activating they are visible again.
Tried "Delete temporary files" from Sync Center -> Manage Offline Files -> Disk Usage. Nothing happened.
I tried to repair Office, didnīt help.
The only Group Policy Settings we have relating to Offline Files are "Synchronize all offline files before logging off"
and "Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files Feature" which is enabled.

Would be nice if someone can get me into the right direction to fix this issue.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have been Googling all over the place last couple of days and looking through hundreds of regkeys but cannot find the answer.

We have 1800 PC's using Offline files to a NAS location. Even though the Group Policy is set to force PC's Offline no matter what the latency value. I have noticed some PC's that have Offline files enabled but are set to work online. Maybe set manually
before the GPO was applied. Anyway I was wondering if there is a way to detect on numerous PC's whether a PC is set to work Offline or Online? I have been looking to see if a regkey changes when the Work Offline / Online button is pressed on the file menu
of the redirected folder.

I have found a key that changes if you hit the button Work Online/ Offline button
manually HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache\OnlineTransitionLog Value - (name of nas share) but this clears when the PC is rebooted or logged out and does not reappear unless you do the switch again manually.
This will not work when I try to scan all the PC's.

Help would be much appreciated.

SBS 2003 with XP workstations

I've recently added a group policy to a number of test students to redirect 'My documents' to their Home area but i'm getting the above synch error for .mdb files.

This happens when any user logs off a machine that the .mdb file users have used...

I've tried a number of group policy changes to try to resolve this:

-User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Network>Offline Files
-Sync all offline files before logging off [Disabled]
-Remove Make available offline [Enabled]
-Prevent use of offline files folder [Enabled]
-Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline

-Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Network>Offline Files
-Synchronise all offline files before logging off [Disabled]
-Files not cached [Enabled *.mdb]

Tried all of the above and since i've made the changes the users with the .mdb files successfully synchronise, however, any other user that logs off sees a message saying that the .mdb files cannot sync for a number of users.

Any help clearing this up would be greatly appreciated

I had a home user come to the office and she was having trouble getting on our network. I turned off off-line files because she doesn't need to sync files to the office on this computer when she comes in anymore on that computer.

Come to find out she was storing all her personal files on the offline drive that we create for each individual here and set it up as offline so files are backed up here in the office.

I have told her to turn off her laptop and do nothing else on it until I look at it. Is there a way to get all those files back that went away when I turned off the offline files? I don't want to do anything until I am sure I make the best move knowing that once those deleted files are overwritten on the hard drive they may still be recoverable in some way.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to get these files back on her hard drive. Just to be clear they were all on the offline folder of a network drive. I turned off off-line files and they were never syncronized up to the server before I did it.
Thanks for your help.

The file size is correct, however, the file remains unusable from computer2.

I have the same problem with a Synology DS209+II and I suspect it has to do with Windows not being able to communicate properly with samba shares, even though the newest Firmware (DSM 3.0) explicitly allows you to activate "Support for Windows Offline Files".

Hello, Please help me. I have Windows 2000 Professional. I'm pretty new to all this as I have only had a computer for about a week. I got some adware threats detected by Norton Antivirus 2004 and have done a lot of reading up and I am now tring to delete them.

One of the removal instructions provided by Norton promps me to delete a file in C:\Winnt\Downloaded Program Files but when I go to view this folder it looks like there are no files inside. Now, I know there are files in there as Norton Antivirus has picked up one in there and when I view the proporties for that folder it states there are 12 files inside but when I view the folder with Windows Explorer it appears empty!

I've gone into folder option and changed the settings so it shows hidden files and hidden system files yet this still doesn't let me view the files in this folder. How can I delete this file if I am unable to view it?

If anyone can point me to a turorial that explains this or explain it to me I would really appreciate this.

Please help a n00b.

Cheers, Luke.

I'm assuming you have done this to Show hidden files and folders:
Go to Control Panel/Folder Options/View and select "Show hidden files and folders"

Also, place a check in "Display the contents of system folders"
And,uncheck "Hide protected operating system files(Recommended)"

If the above doesn't work try this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced.
Create the REG_DWORD ShowSuperHidden (if it doesn't already exist) Set the value to 1, click OK, and close the Registry editor

I have been trying to encrypt a folder using PGP 9.0.6 and Cryptainer Secure It 3.1.7.

What's weird is that the folder and the files within it will not encrypt and I don't know why? Further more the folder will actually be missing files. Can anybody explain to me? No, I am not setting the applications to erase files after completion.

PGP Conventional Encryption has worked finally. I tried all the obvious stuff first like closing all non-essential volumes (virtual disk that are created and encrypted by PGP), transferring the files to another drive, etc.

On a slightly separate issue. I did have some data corruption involving an older and separate group of files. However I deemed that to a hardware failure or a OS/Software failure. Figured it might provide valid insight.

Update: Now my PGP conventional encryption, non .exe file generation worked. I don't understand why it wouldn't work? Going to rename the source folder and try again. MY encrypted .exe file generation with PGP should work.

I tried again. PGP conventional encryption and PGP Zip both encrypted fine. I tried creating a PGP .exe file and again it failed and files are missing; why?

I've done a full virus scan and spyware scan. No known threats detected that would cause this. I've done two system wipes in the past months. I've also removed, reinstalled, and or repaired the installation of both a... Read more

Hi and thank you for reading me
Several days ago, I launched a in-depth scan with avast! and a few problems popped-up. Most of them were called PUP and were located in my Temporary Internet Files. I found the ones for IE and deleted them but I don't know if Mozilla has its own separate files. Furthermore, one identified as a trojan was located in my Windows Defender scans file (I have the name of the specific infected file if that might help) but I can't find it and even if I did, I don't know what to do with it. Do I just delete it or do I have to do anything else ?

Also prior to that scan, I had very bad network connexion problems. I basically couldn't have access to the web for one of those three reasons :
- Home network but no Internet access
- Unidentified network with Internet access
- Unidentified network and no Internet access
Someone suggested that I might be infected so I did the scan. Now after that, my connexion is much better but not flawless, so I'm wondering if those PUP's might have something to do with it.

Lastly, I've been trying to download .exe files from several hosting sites and everytime I do, in the last few seconds of my download, Mozilla freezes. Seconds later, the file is supposedly on my computer and what I find instead is a file named trzF636.tmp The problem only ever comes with hosting sites and it's K-I-L-L-I-N-G me !

An error messages appears whenever I try to extract a folder to Program Files. It reads 'Cannot create folder C:\Program Files\Mozilia Firefox\abc'. I tried to first create the folder inside Program Files manually and then direct the extraction to it when I was prompted to choose the destination but it still wouldn't work. It says 'Cannot create folder so and so' and under that 'Access is denied'. I am using the computer as an administrator so I was bewildered when the message appeared. I am thinking that somehow the setting is preventing me to take control over Program Files. Vista's not so user friendly in this aspect.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Unwanted encoding messages on opening MSWord files. Inability to open MSExcel files and picture files. Apparently corrupted files?I am having problems opening .doc and .xls and .jpg files in some (but not all) folders in my folder tree, e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\My Documents\Folder X. However, Folders Y and Z are apparently unaffected. This has arisen only recently. My system is Windows XP (Home), and SP2 upgraded to SP3.MSWORD EXAMPLE:- On opening a Word file (whether from Word or from Windows Explorer) I receive this dialog box;"File Conversion - (filename).doc""Select the encoding that makes your document readable." The already selected button is "Other encoding" and the suggested code is "Japanese". The preview pane shows only an array of characters, all the same.On trying to select the button "Windows (Default)", the preview changes to a continuous array of lower-case xxxxxxx. On returning to the "Other encoding" option and trying "Auto-Select", the selected code returns itself to "Japanese" with the display as already noted above. On returning to the "Other encoding" option and trying "Western European (Windows)", the display reverts to the Windows Default style as already noted above, lines of xxxxxxx. I am unable to open the file.MSEXCEL EXAMPLE:- On opening an Excel file, all I get is an immensely long string of a character in ... Read more

This sounds like it might be a malware infection.

Have you run any scans lately?

Did you download BackUp4All from a reputable source?

Hello.
I'm having trouble with synchronizing sertain files in windows 2000 pro. My computer is connected to a network via hub and workgroup, there are files on a network drive wich id like mo make awailable offline (it's a laptop so it's not always connected to the network) it works fine unless the file types are .DBS , .MDB or DBD... Then I get the error messages that windows can not synchronize these file types...?

Offline files do support active database files.... found that out the hard way. (it assumes the file is still open and will not move into your machine)

I am not sure if I am in the correct forum but here is my problem. I am using Windows XP Professional and I am on a company network. My boss has been out on medical leave and took her computer home with her so she could do work while she recovers. I have access to some Excel files that are on her computer and I have been working offling in them while she has been out. This past Friday, I was sick and could not come into work but my boss was able to come in for a few hours to help out during the busy time and she worked on my computer. I came in on Monday and can no longer access the offline files I have been working in for the last three months. When I try to open a file it tells me that the file cannot be found and to check my spelling or try another path. My boss swears she changed nothing on my computer and was not able to even go into those files. Does anyone have a clue how I can access my offline files? Everything I have read states I will have to delete them but I would lose three months worth of work that I might never be able to recover. Is there any other way?

They are either there in the way you access them as per this article or they are NOT and there is NO way to recover them, as they were of course NEVER on your computer.

I have an XP machine which has filled the C drive with Offline Files Synchronizing.
This is something that was setup years ago, and just kicked in again this week somehow.
It has synchronized 20GB of files to the C drive. C drive is only 37GB. Windows folder is 25 GB.
I started to delete the offline files, but the process failed (a device attached is not functioning - I think that was the message).
Now I have Offline Files not enabled.
There is obviously still about 20 GB of storage on this drive, which I want to clear off, but the Offline Files Folder shows empty.

Does anyone know a way to clear up this ?

A:XP Offline Files

Click Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > Offline Files tab > uncheck "Enable Offline Files.

Note that if the function is set in group policy, it will reset to enabled again after you log back into the network. There may be additional settings you can choose that effectively allow you to keep it from working. You may be able to unselect the server(s) that you synchronize with, etc. You may have to do this each time you log into the network depending on policy settings on your network.

During the week, we had a power outage...
Network went flop

Ever since then a Win2K Pro now always disconnected from teh network... After about 5 minutes a message pops up stating, you are no longer connected to <server name> in the taskbar. It's the Sync. Manager. At first boot, DHCP gives the IP and what not but then 5 mins later I get that message. Never used Offline files before. Packets still get passed but...puter goes to offline mode.

Now (actually this is someone else's puter having the problem and now I'm lookin' like a duface), I can enable and disable the using of offline files on my machine (tools>options>offline files) however, on this particular machine, that tab is not there.
Machine as stated is Win2K Pro SP2 FAT32 (not my doing).
I upgraded to SP3...tab did not show
During the 5 minutes of good network time, downloaded and installed all available critical updates (win update)... tab did not show.

What else can I do to rectify this (without re-imaging the system)??
Thanks All

Hi,

Is there a policy that anyone is aware of that would prevent "traveling users'" from synchronizing offline files with the server when they establish a VPN connection.

This being as some users have offline files totalling over 3GB, that then wish to sync with the server the moment they establish a VPN connection....

I am aware that this can be prevented by running "mobsync" and "configuring" not to sync on certain connections. This have to be done manually at each machine and checked every time a new connection is configured at that machine.

The same problem is experienced when "traveling users" work temporarily at a branch where there is a site-to-site VPN connection between the branches. As their local LAN connection allows for synchronization, massive amounts of data is then "synched" between the branches.

Preferably these "traveling users" should be using their local offline file cache, until they are back at their respective branch.

Any idees please?

Quote:
Keeping your offline files in sync

When you select a network file or folder to make available offline, Windows automatically creates a copy of that file or folder on your computer.

My question is---WHERE does it save that copy? In what folder? Can I set the folder I want the copy to be in and HOW do I do it?
Thank You for any help.

A:using offline files

It's located in the C:\Windows\CSC folder

To change it, do the following:
Open "OFFLINE FILES" (In Win8 you hit START and just type Offline files, should be the same in Win7)
Click "Disable offline files"
Run regedit.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CSC
Right-click CSC, New -> Key, and name it as Parameters.
Right-click Parameters, New -> String Value, name it as CacheLocation.
Right-click CacheLocation, then Modify.
In the Value data box, type the name of the new folder (make sure you created it) you want to create the cache, like this: \??\drive:\folder
Where it?s Windows NT format for folder path name, with drive for drive letter and folder as folder name. For example: \??\D:\csc
Restart the computer.
Open again OFFLINE FILES.
Click on Enable Offline Files.
Restart the computer.
All new offline folders will be cached and saved to that new location.

after much searching the internet (and this forum), ive given up looking and resorting to just asking. heres my problem:
on my computer i have a 40gb hd and a 160gb hd, i got the 160 to hold my music and my work (mainly 3d modelling and animation stuff) and the 40 for the system drive. right now i have my work stored on a network drive, but i want to make it available offline. but if i make it available offline it'll go to the default folder on the 40. is there any way to change the location of the offline folder to a specific folder on the 160? either by 3rd party program or preferably in windows itself? any info would be much appreciated! thanks!

A:offline files

So all you want to do is copy it from the network drive to the folder of your choice? Or do you want to be able to access the work, while you aren't online (but still on the network)?

Home drive mapped to Z: and made available offline

Server:

We are redirecting My Documents to the userprofile network location for users.  Last week we migrated to 2 new split-scope DHCP servers on Thursday, had set our lease times to 1 hour, and then Thursday and Friday had users reboot and verified
they were registering with the new DHCP servers.  As of Friday everything seemed to be successful.

Yesterday my manager came in to start work, having turned off and taken his Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1 home with him on Friday, but not having powered it up over the weekend.  He had been working on a presentation on Friday that is due
this Wednesday.  When he logged in Monday morning he had 1 document in his "Documents" library.  (Redirected My Documents).  He called and I was able to see all of his documents on his ..\userprofile\username\documents network share
on the server.

We rebooted, ran a couple of GPUpdate /force commands, and my manager was able to see his documents.  The latest "date modified" looked to be 4-28-2016 around noon - which was Thursday.

He started working around 8:45 or 9 using those documents from 4-28-2016, worked until noon yesterday (5-2-2016) and saved multiple copies of his documents to his "Documents" library, where he typically saves them.  He then logged
off his workstation, went to lunch, and when he came back, he was missing specifically those documents that he had worked on.  All other files in his My Docum... Read more

I'm just setting up offline files up on a laptop I have across to my main computer. I've no problem with setting up, however a while back I set it up to a computer name which no-longer exists on the network. Now every time Offline files tries to synchronise it gives an error saying it can't find it. I've been round the houses trying to find how to simply get rid of the old share. I've deleted all files, disabled and re-enabled offline files and it's still there.

Hopefully I'm just being stupid and missing the 'clear all' or 'delete' button somwhere...

Thanks in advance

Can you have folder redirection without the offline files? I have a network setup with sbs 2003. One of the computers has a hard drive that keeps getting filled up with offline files. my documents is redirected to the server. \\server01\users\username. This user uses two pc on the network. I want them to have access to the same files and folders but don't want the offline files. If I disable offline files will they still access the same files and folders regardless of what computer they sit at if both computers have the my documents folder redirected to the server?

Hello,

Iīv been using offline files and folders in my job a long time now. All of a sudden there is no synchronisation possible any more.
My services shows 10% of 999 GB disk space is reserved for offline files as well as for temp files.

As I have a 256 SSD in my laptop this configuration is not possible - the bad thing is I can not alter this limit - just nothing happens.

I have tried everything I can think of - rebuild the database (FormatDatabase in registry), tried to define cache size via registry and via local group policies, sfc /scannow, finally deleted the content of CSC and tried everything again - nothing works.

Iīm really clueless  - can anyone help?
