Iframe not loading after installing Update KB3154070

Q: Iframe not loading after installing Update KB3154070

Hi All,
We have an application that mostly deals with iframes (loads the different pages within the application on demand).
Recently, the IE browser got updated with KB3154070(Current IE Version: 11.0.9600.18314) as part of the system updates. After that update, majority of the functionality is breaking completely. It effected all the pages that use iframes. The content is not
loading and resulting in a blank page. The request appears to be aborted when inspected in the network panel as shown in the below screen capture.
As I am unable to insert image I am attaching the URL to the uploaded image.

We have performed the following troubleshooting

We made sure that all iframe tags are close properly. The src of the iframe is not empty. If we access the same page outside (without loading into iframe), it works fine. But, the problem is with only within iframe.
As a quick workaround to this problem, we have asked our users to roll back the update. But, this is not the expected solution.
Your help is really appreciated.

Preferred Solution: Iframe not loading after installing Update KB3154070

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I've already written about the previous update for IE11 (KB3148198) and installed it unwillingly:
But this month, there is another cumulative security update for IE11 with a size of 52MB again (KB3154070). Do I need it? I read the following topic and try to find out if I would really need it:
I still hesitate.

Hi everyone,
I have this code that works excellent with any browser but not with Edge 14 on windows 10 mobile (Lumia 950)

if (xmlHttp.readyState == 4 && xmlHttp.status == 200) {
            manageProfileIframe.setAttribute("src", "data\:text/html," + xmlHttp.response);

In Edge on mobile, the Iframe shows:
hmm, we can't reach this page.
Try this
Make sure you?ve got the right web address: data:text/html,<!doctype html><html lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org
Refresh the page
Search for what you want

You're not connected
And the web just isn?t the same without you.
Let?s get you back online
Make sure you?re not in airplane mode.
See if your wireless switch is turned on.
Go to network settings

xmlHttp.response is very simple, has the header and a simple paragraph in the body

Recently, I had to do a factory reinstall on my Dell Laptop which reverted it back to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Service Pack 1 in addition to drivers, software, etc. That worked out fine when using the disks, but I discovered another issue. When trying to get Windows Updates to install on my system, all I get is the screen that it's checking for updates and it keeps checking, but nothing ever gets installed. I've tried everything under the sun online to try to remedy this, but with no success. I've tried running the Windows Update Troubleshooter as well, but I get an error of "problem installing recent updates." It did fix a "service registration is missing or corrupt" though. I've probably spent hours on trying to fix this, but to no avail. Any possible solutions or ideas?

Thanks for being part of such a helpful community.

Around two weeks ago as I was shutting down my computer for the day, I had to install updates (standard so far). The next morning I came to find my computer stuck on the loading screen with that turning dot icon, and would not boot up.

I called Microsoft Tech support and the solution they came to was activating the PC Diagnosis settings by faking a failed reset and then using System Restore, which worked as a temporary solution.

However each time I shut down I was forced to install the same updates that caused the issue, and would have to use system restore again, etc...

Eventually it got to the point where I was assisted in re-installing windows 10 altogether.

This also worked for a while, but once again, I eventually had to install those dreadful updates....

Now I have the same issue AND system restore no longer works. Completely locked out of my computer.

Yesterday it miraculously loaded my login screen after hours. Today I wasn't so lucky, and it's been stuck on the loading screen all day. I have to use a random separate computer at work, away from all my files.

I'm desperate to solve this issue. Does anyone have any ideas? I do not currently have my files backed up and am quite concerned.

Please advise, greatly appreciated!

Hello deralickt and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you receiving any error codes? Are you able to boot your machine in Safe Mode? If yes, see if you can access System Restore and go back to a date/time prior to the update. If you don't have a restore point you could also see if that update is showing in Windows Update History. If it is, try uninstalling it.

Safe Mode

System Restore

Windows Update - Uninstall an Update

The failed update may have damaged or corrupted some system files. From Safe Mode you could try running a System File Checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are noted run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Since you have an install DVD you could also try a Repair Install to fix your currently installed Windows 7 and preserve your user accounts, data, programs, system drivers, etc.

Repair Install

A repair install may require that you reinstall a bunch of Windows Updates. I found it's safer (but more time consuming) to install just a few at a time rather than all at once. If you install a few at a time you can reboot, see if there are any issues, and if there are, you'll know exactly which 3 or 5 or 10 updates you need to remove. Reinstall them one at a time. They'll either all install correctly or you'll know exactly which one(s) are problematic. (If you install all at once and later find out there's a problem it's almost impossible to know which update is inv... Read more

Hey guys.

I was told to see if you guys could help me, after failed attempt of asking for help in 3 different forums. So this is my problem:

I have a WD 100GB, and bought a WD 250GB. I partitioned the 250 into 120+130, which I believed would help me get around the 137 barrier. I'm not even sure if it works. But anyway,

I installed the 250, made the partitions and started XP. Set my 100 as my slave, and started to copy the data I wanted to keep from one to another. 1/10th of the way into copying just my MP3s, the computer rebooted. Since then, the computer tells me "Error loading OS". Both master and slave are being recognized, I also set that it boots from the 250, not the 100.
I don't know what else to do. This is not the first time I have problems setting up this HDD. First, the partition I made was always full, even when I had NOTHING in there. Then, it rebooted while copying files over. Now this. I'm lost with what else I can do.
My MB is ~4 years old, and I tried updating the bios, but someone told me it costs $60 to do that, when I can buy a 133-ata card or something like that for cheaper, which would fix the problem.
This is my first time dealing with HDD, so I'm trying to read other people's troubles and troubleshooting manuals, but with no luck. Any help would be appreciate it!

Thanks in advance,

A:Error loading OS after installing a new HDD

First, partitioning will not help you around the 137MB barrier. If you have that problem then you need a BIOS update - there should be one for your computer considering its age.

Second, there is no way you can boot from the new drive if all you did was copy files to it.

I am using an ASUS K52F LAPTOP.
The operating system in win 7 32 Bit Version.
The PC is 3 years Old now
The PC has operated fine , as far as I am concerned I do not think that there are any problems within the system

There is a special Icon for downloading ASUS Special to . Type System and Driver Updates.
This facility was inoperative from date of purchase until last night.
I discovered that the Factory Fitted Software had the incorrect HTTP/URL/WWW for the ASUS Download Update Site..

Last Night I located the correct URL for these Special to Type Downloads and downloaded some 60 ASUS Updates which I saved to my desk top.

In most a cases there were several updates for each category all spaced by 3 or more months apart.

My question is is it sufficient to install just the latest and most up to date download or do I need to start from the very beginning and down load each update on top of each other and in date sequence?

Apologies if this is , somewhat long-windedl but better to have too much information rather than too little.

Thank you for any advice that you may be able to provide

A:Down loading and installing win 7 updates

I'm not sure about these "ASUS Updates", but as far as Windows 7 updates are concerned - they need to come directly from Microsoft.

These can be downloaded and installed by using the Windows Update application that comes with Windows.

Click Start - All Programs - Windows Update.

Hi all, really hoping for some help.

I have been trying to set up my older (2008) laptop with a clean install of windows 7 ultimate / 32 bit.
The reason to do this is because I was given a SSD drive and wanted to set up a 100% fresh system.
This laptop was before running just fine on the same windows version, but from a HDD.

My problem is this: I run a new setup for windows, no problems. I run windows update and it starts with updating to a new update agent Version 7.6.7600.256. No problems, I receive some updates including SP1. After installing SP1 I get the mandatory update to update to Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 and windows update just breaks. When I start it just searches for updates forever but never finds any.(after hours)

Now, my PC is running the same windows version and updates just fine. Also, I have tried to do clean installs on several systems and they ALL have the exact same problem. I even did installs on all these systems with different W7 versions (Home and PRO) and still the exact same problem, as soon as Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 gets installed it all grinds to a halt.

I have tried all kinds of solutions I found on the internet including a repair tool from tweaking.com (Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free/Pro) which combines most solutions suggested like disk and file system checks. I also changed DNS settings to the Google DNS and of course tried the MS Fix it tool and also ran CCCleaner. I have tried so many things I don't even remember them all.

I have Windows Update set to notify me when updates are ready so I can have some control over the time things are being done. So I get a little icon in my status bar and I click it and it asks if I want to download (yes) and now, install (yes) and I get "Installation complete". Then 10 seconds later it's back. It's the same file and I've installed it several times and it keeps coming back. The update installer seems happy as heck each time.

Zone Alarm shows full permission for "Update Automatic Updates" and "Ask" for "Update Manager for NT". I would be inclined to remove both from the Program List and let them "meet" Zone Alarm again so I can be sure the both have full, enduring permission. Does that seem like a plan?

It's a bit confusing, but here goes...

Someone I know at work created an image of machines using the Intel 815E chipset. Now he wants to transfer that same image onto a machine using the Intel 845GS chipset. However (and I'm sure no-one will be too surprised at this), the machine keeps blue-screening whenever we try to boot.
It's Win2K, corporate edition, all legit etc. Question is, how can we install the new chipset drivers into Windows without booting it up? It blue-screens before it goes anywhere, but is it possible to install from DOS, or using some other kind of alternate OS? (like bootable CD-ROM, FD, etc)
Of course, have already tried booting into safe mode, tried using the recovery console on the Win2K CD with no luck. (the latter allows him to check the drive, etc, but not INSTALL anything)

So... is this even possible? Or should I just forget this and start from scratch? Any and all suggestions are welcomed!

A:Installing chipset drivers without loading Windows.. Possible?

Howdy there Nautilus...

Question is, how can we install the new chipset drivers into Windows without booting it up?Click to expand...

No can do, the OS has to be loaded before you can install the chipset drivers...

You can load the image on one of the pc's with the 815E chipset, and install the Standard drivers for the IDE controllers, and Standard drivers for the Chipset ( when asked to reboot don't ), then use Sysprep with the -PNP option to force the mini setup, then dump the image back up to where you are storing the images, you may have to install the drivers for the 845GS chipset...

Do you have a UEFI BIOS? The way to tell is to boot the PC and tap the one-time BIOS Boot menu key, or boot into BIOS setup to look at Boot Priority Order. Are their UEFI devices offered to boot? If so write the Win7 ISO to stick using Option One of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

I have a Win2K SP4 (all Critical Updates) laptop that has a weird quirk I noticed recently. I have installed the Security Update KB819696 (Unchecked Buffer in DirectX Could Enable System Compromise) a few times, but it never asks to reboot when finished and will always show up as a critical update even when I have manually rebooted the laptop.

Any idea on what could be causing this and how to solve it? Recently there has been some problems with malware/spyware/adware (which is cleaned) and perhaps something in the registry was corrupted or deleted as a result. Other than that, everything seems to work fine. Thanks for your help.

A:Security Update KB819696 in Windows Update even after installing it.

I've had that happen on more than one occasion. MS eventually fixed the problem but your case may be due to other factors.

Here's what Doug Knox offers:

Usage: Download xp_hotfix_prompt.vbs and save it to your hard drive. Double click the VBS file you downloaded and you'll be prompted to enter the KBxxxxxx or Qxxxxxx number of the Hotfix. No checking is done to see if the Hotfix is actually installed on your system, so its your responsibility to ensure that it is.

Note: I cannot guarantee that this will work for ALL HOTFIXES. Using the tools at my disposal, I have determined how the majority of checking is done for the presence of a particular hotfix. This mechanism may not be the same for all Hotfixes and could change at any time.

What I'm curious about i,s what would happen if I installed windows 8 and all the programs that I use before the user was added to the domain. Will this user have access to all the programs that were installed or would I potentially need to perform a hack or re-install the programs on that account? Any help would be appreciated.

A:Domain user accounts after installing and loading programs

You can change your domain settings from System in Control Panel. You will not loose any installed programs.

You do need Pro version of windows though.

I recently had to replace the hard drive in my dv7-7030us Entertainment Notebook. I have tried unsuccessfully to download Windows 7.  I have tried several versions, and Windows 8.1 with no luck. I keep getting to a point where the computer asks where to store the software, and the screen will show how much for the partition, but when I attempt to  choose an area, I get a warning sign and message that says something about GPT and EFI. I know this is about the bios, but is there something I have to down load first, prior to the Windows?

Core 2 duo 6750
Windows xp 32/ Vista 64 dual boot
4 Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
Right now my computer is configured so I can dual boot between XP 32bit and Vista 64bit. Vista works and loads up fine (beat crysis with no hardware issues on vista) but xp locks up at the loading splash screen with the blue progress bar and windows logo. The xp installation is a fresh install and all the drivers except the nvidia drivers are installed and xp is fully updated. Without the VGA nvidia drivers xp loads up fine except for the obvious no 3d acceleration and being locked at 800x600. Once I install the Latest nvidia drivers XP locks up when I restart at the loading splash screen. I've tried 3 different drivers the official Nvidia drivers, the MSI drivers on their website and the Omega 3rd party drivers. All of them lock up xp at the loading splash screen. The only way I can get back to XP is through Safe mode and last good configuration which is xp without the 8880 drivers installed.

What can I do to solve this?

For reference here is a pic I got from the web of the loading screen Im talking about where xp locks up at.

Specs -

Win XP Pro
Athalon XP 200 or something like that, running at 2.1 ghtz
1 Gig of ram
Win XP, latest SPs
The video cards -

GeForce 4 4400 Ti
Gigabyte - ATI Radeon X800 XL (AGP)

Upgrading from the Ge to the ATI, obviously.

From the Device Manager, I uninstalled the GeForce. I then shut down the computer, removed the GeForce and installed the (gigantic!) Radeon X800 XL. Seemed to have gone well.

Upon reboot, everything proceeded as usual until the WinXP loading screen. The XP splash screen with the loading animated bar below it displays as normal, then the screen goes blank and stays that way. The hard drive and processor sound like they're finishing the loading process, but nothing is displayed on the screen. There is a signal, just no image.

Attempts to go into safe mode are met with the same, or the computer halting, shutting down and rebooting during the process.

Attempts to put the old card back in the system and load windows from the "last successful boot configuration" is met with the same null image. All attempts to reboot in any safe mode or regular configuration with either card is now met with the blank image after the XP splash screen.

I'm looking in to hunting a Windows XP disc to try to boot from that and see if anything will happen in that, if I need to do a repair install and what not.

ANY ideas regarding this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

A:Blank screen after XP loading logo, after installing new video card

The nVidia drivers are kept in a folder in program files. Uninstalling the card was good but if you didn't remove the old Detonators through add remove programs, they may be trying to load when you boot and poor XP is confused. There are a lot of different reasons why it would stop after the boot and just before the welcome screen The fact that the boot screen shows suggests your OK in the drivers department though. You may have damaged your logonui.exe file. If you can't get on the screen then you're pretty much helpless and the repair install may be your only option.

You could burn Bart's PE to a CD and try to boot from that. It's a stand alone live XP program that is self contained. You need to set your boot order to boot from CD. It uses none of your drivers to load and should show up. You can access your files then if it's a software issue, and run the system file checker from the run box to scan and repair any missing or corrupted system files. If you do run the sfc you will have to reinstall all your service packs and updates when you are done.Type the following into the run box and hit OK

sfc /scannow

Or you can open command prompt and start system restore. From the run box type in cmd and the command prompt window will open. If your OS is not on the C drive then replace the C with the appropriate letter. When the command prompt opens you will see

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name>

Type in c:\windows\system32... Read more

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to help my Aunt with an issue with her computer but have ended up at a dead end.

The initial problem was that she was having problems getting updates, including SP1 to install. I have read through various threads on this board to find tips on this and most seemed to suggest that I run the System Upgrade Readiness tool.

But I can't seem to run this either. Every time it runs I get a message asking me to install a hotfix (KB947821). KB947821 just appears to be the SUR tool but when the install process starts it just hangs up and never finishes. Everything I've tried, including running the Microsoft diagnostics tool, can't fix this.

I've seen other threads that suggest resetting windows update using a .bat file. So I tried that as well. Now when I run Windows update it says that I need to "install an update for Windows Update". But when I try this I get an error message saying an error occurred and quoting error code 800736B3.

I've attached what I think is the CheckSUR log file.

I seem now to have run out of ideas. Any help anyone can give would be most appreciated.

A:Issues installing SP1 and Windows Update update

Sometimes you can have better luck by downloading the Service Pack and installing it directly, rather than using Windows Update.

Download: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

For 32 bit Windows, you need the last file listed. 537 MB

For 64 bit Windows, you need the next to last file listed. 903 MB.

Might help, might not.

Windows 7 showed a notification that there was a problem in the Action Center. It said that there was a driver update and prompted me to download "15.49_nforce_winvista_win7_64bit_international_whql

Now immediately after installing Windows Update wants to update my display driver and four other NVidia drivers.... Any idea what's going on?

How do I tell if 15.49 is the latest and greatest update for my chipset?

My INfo:

Win 7 Home Premium SP1
64 bit version

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide...

A:Windows Update wants to update after installing 15.49_nforce_winvista_

You can check with HP site for your make/model and see what's the latest driver that they have listed. You can go to Nvidia site and use the auto detect or search manually for the latest driver.

Hello. I was not installing, changing or doing any maintenance of any kind on my PC. The only recent change was that Firefox updated to a new version. There was a notice that updates were ready and I was turning my PC off anyway. 1-5 went quickly but I saw it stick on #6. That was two hours ago.

I am unwilling to proceed without advice.

I have also been struggling with a similair issue with a relatives PC with almost no luck. These machines are in the same house and run win7 but are not shared or networked and have seperate ISPs. Is windows just having a bad week? Some kind of attack? I have no idea. The relative's PC is older and wasn't performing well even before it got stuck in update. In fact I ran update on that one in hopes of solving those issues. I believe there are several issues in play there.

At the moment I'm more concerned with how to safely interrupt update on my PC and fix the cause. It has been running flawlessly until now. Thanks.

A:win update is still stuck installing update 6 of 12, 2 hours so far.

If the file is too large (8MBcompressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file isbelow the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (theforum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

A friend said he looked at the site in FireFox and it works correctly, so it leads me to believe it may be an IE thing but the original site works fine in IE.

Okay so I have been struggling with this update for a while now and I cant seem to find an answer to so I would be really grateful if you could read this through and help me :)

Sometimes when I do Windows Updates my computer will reboot with no problem once but after that the problems start. My computer boots but I get a blank desktop with only the background showing, so Im thinking that its propably a problem with the explorer.exe not loading?

I dont even have the mouse icon showing, but after some button bashing it appears and I can right click the background so some options open and I can create a new folder to the desktop and access my file directories that way.

Unfortunately I cant get any programs to open including explorer.exe so Im stuck. Then when I just shut my computer by pressing a button and I reboot and start using safemode and then I can use a recovery spot to go back to the state where I was before updates. But obviously I would like to get my updates so I cant just keep it this way.

This has happened to me once before like five months ago and then the problem just solved itself after couple of reboots, if I remember correctly.
And Im not excactly sure which update is causing the problems because theres like 16 and it would take a ******** of reboots to check what update it is.

Anyone ? Anything ? If not then I guess Ill just have to do the reboots...

A:Explorer.exe not loading after update

Hi -

If booting into SAFEMODE, Windows Explorer is loading.

Run Windows System Restore again. Then install Windows Updates 1 at a time; reboot after each.

Check Reliability Monitor for WU installation activity -
START | type perfmon /rel

When I click on Windows Update, it just hangs with the circle cursor spinning. All that opens up is a white box, and nothing happens. I had no issues running Update 2 days ago. It just started this yesterday out of the blue.

IDK if it is related, but I also can't update drivers in Device Mgr. It just keeps searching the web for drivers, and nothing ever happens.

bought new laptop in October all running fine on Windows 2010 Home and Business. updates ran about 10 days ago and internet and outlook stopped working, so I reversed all the updates and all was well. happened again overnight and again reversed everything.
now I have given up as I saw fix was due on 22/02/13 - but that hasn't fixed everything. IE is now fine, but outlook won't send or receive. have talked to ISP and nothing wrong with their end. so I try and reinstall everything but updates appear to load and then reverse out.

have spoken to microsoft - useless

only 2 of the updates aren't loading - any help ideas that don't involve me throwing laptop out the window and screaming?
