I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For all of our desktops we have the display set to turn off after 1 hour of inactivity to save power and extend the life of the monitor.  With the Tiny-In-One 24 & M700 Tiny, once the monitor turns off, it won't wake back up by moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard.  The Tiny is still running just fine I can remote to it from another machine but even remoting to it and logging in does not wake the screen.  This is with the TIO running in AIO mode.  The only way to wake the screen is to use the user controls on the front of the monitor to switch to DP mode and back to AIO mode.

Is this a know bug?  Running Windows 7 and I've already reinstalled all drivers and ran the lenovo system update utility and everything is up-to-date.  I also set the display to turn off after only a minute to do more testing and about 1 in every 10 tries, the monitor will wake up normally.  The rest of the time I have to use the user controls on the front of the monitor.

In addition to the same exact thing that Banner has, (well I wake it by pressing the power button, it goes off, then press again, it comes on, then move mouse to wake) but in addition to that quite a few of our clients mention that when they sit down at the computer (without touching anything) it immediately goes black, shows AIO Mode in the top left corner and goes back to the normal screen.

Hello Everyone,Lenovo Sales wasn't much help.  M900 Tiny and M700 Tiny owners, what features/performances are available on the M900 Tiny that the M700 Tiny doesn't have?   My M700 Tiny config; i7-6700T 2.8G, Windows 10 Home, 16G DDR4 SoDIMM, Wireless Intel 8260 AC(2x2)+BT4.1 Tiny, Slim DVD Recordable device, 2 Display Port inputs, 1 HDMI input  Same components as available for the M900 Tiny but the M700 Tiny is still cheaper.  The M900Tiny has Intel vPro (Don't need it), supports RAM up to 32GB (Don't need it), supports PCIe Storage <<< I thought the M700 Tiny has supports this too because M.2 component is available?   Is the same motherboard used for both models?  Would the M700 Tiny performance be the same if configured with the same components as the M900 Tiny? Thanks in advance,Ricky

Different Intel chipset implies a different motherboard.   Providing processor, memory, storage is the same speed, I would suspect that the performance is the same or similar.

I have an M900 Tiny that has a intermittent problem with dropping brightness on the displayport out. I'm not setting it anywhere. Sometimes when coming out of sleep (windows 7 x64 Pro) it just won't send video. I can swap the DP cable to another monitor and the problem is the same. A hard reboot solves it, leading me to think it's definitely something WRT the sleep/video configuration. I've had it running in Maximum Performance power mode with no OS sleep settings, just 'turn off the monitor after 6 minutes'. The video driver version is: 20.19.15.4474 This is a somewhat recent problem, as it hasn't always done this. Anyone run into a similar situation? And found an actual fix/solution? Not just guesses, please.

This one is a 7th Gen (KabyLake).Candidate #3: Xeon E3-1268L V5, LGA 1151, Intel P530, 35W, DMI 3.0 (Same Gen, it seems). Some people seem to have been successful with Xeons and the M900 Tiny. All of these chips feature an LGA1151 socket, 35W TDP. I'd be curious if people would recommend either candidate for replacing the original cpu..Thanks,Vincent

I've seen several posts related to this in some way, but either no answer or somewhat different. In any case: The issue I have is that I recently purchased multiple ThinkCentre M700 Tiny's and all of them have the same issue. I can plug in either monitor into either individual display port and have it work, but if I try to plug in both, the second is not recognized and leaves the monitor blank. If I try to detect another monitor in Windows (7 X64 pro), then it shows "Another display not connected" that is available output on Intel(R) HD Graphics 530, but I cant select it, or use it in any way. If I apply, that "monitor" stays there indefinetly and another detect will bring up a 3rd. The monitors are connected directly via DP>DP and DP>DP. I've run Windows Updates entirely. No luck. I've tried removing the intel driver entirely and reinstalling from Windows Updates, no luck. I ran Lenovo System Update and installed all recommended and optional patches. Nothing. I've tried updating the BIOS to FWKT6AA from Lenovo's site. No luck. I've tried switching the monitor mode in BIOS away from auto, no luck and no options to enable dual monitor. I searched through all of the BIOS for any such option. I've upgraded the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 driver to 20.19.15.4474 (highest on Lenovo's update page) no luck I've tried upgrading the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 driver from Intel's website directly. Hi,

I just bought the M910X tiny desktop and 2 identical Lenovo ThinkCentre monitors. I installed the desktop into one of the monitors, which works fine. How do I connect the second monitor to the PC? It seems like the DisplayPort showing on the back of the monitor is only for plugging a separate device into the screen, not video out to a second monitor from the PC. Is that right?

Sorry if this is a stupid question!

When you say "installed into a monitor", it's a Tiny-in-One monitor?  It would help to know which model.  Pretty sure you would need to connect the 2nd monitor direct to the Tiny itself, is there a way to do that with it installed in the monitor?

What are the differences between the M700 & M900 Towers? People in the sales department didn't really know. For example, the M700 has a smaller case so it could conceivably be more difficult to change components. Is the cooling system the same? I'm sure that there must be differences other than the size of the case. (I am aware that the M900 has capacity for more RAM than the M700 - as I understand it.) Thanks very much. Coop

Hi this is my first question here.
I just bought a M900 SFF (i7-6700) which has a 210W PSU. I want to get a MSI 750ti low profile GPU but worried about the lack of power so Im considering upgrading the original PSU.
However, the motherboard has a Lenovo style 10-pin ATX and another 4-pin. So far I couldn't find any PSU that matches the motherboard. I would really appreciate some help!

Also, I tried using the 750ti LP with the current 210W PSU. It worked fine with Would of Warcraft, but I havn't try other programs that might have higher power demand. Do you think I should keep looking for a PSU upgrade plan or is it actually just fine with the 210W? I used a PSU calculator and for my current system (with 750ti) it gave a 205W estimation, which is just under 210W.

I've read many similar posts here on this problem, but found no clear solution. I bought this partly for the advertised 'potential for upgrade', which now seems to me a lie because I can't even upgrade a PSU???

Hi all, I bought an M700 tiny which came with a 128GB SATA SSD. I installed a 128GB M.2 SSD and moved my OS to it. Then, I removed the sata ssd and installed a regular HDD for storage purposes. After doing that, I noticed that whenever I try to access the HDD, there is a responsiveness issue. When windows starts, the device is shown after login but it takes about half a minute to show the device capacity. Also, when I access files within the HDD, I face the same slowness. I know there is no issue with the HDD itself because when I booted a linux USB flash memory on the same computer I didn't face any such issue and the HDD was snappy. The responsiveness issue is only with the original OS, Windows 7 Pro 64. I also connected an external HDD via a powered USB hub but that didn't cause an issue either. I updated the BIOS to the latest available version (FTWKT49A) but it didn't solve the issue. Can anyone please assist with this issue?

I am getting somewhat confused (sometimes it doesn't take much) Ok 1st:  From Lenovo's website Memory:TINY FORM FACTOR WITHOUT SACRIFICING PERFORMANCEThe ThinkCentre M900 Tiny is everything that you need in a compact size: durable, manageable, expandable, flexible ? do-able. Tiny form factor with the latest in Intel Core? processors and up to 16 GB of memory with two drive bays offer the performance and expandability you need. Here it seems to indicate 16gb of memory which seems to be what is offered under customize However here: Tiny but Flexible The ThinkCentre M900 Tiny fits just about anywhere, but is still flexible, offering one 2.5? bay or one M.2 slot for your choice of storage, and up to 16 GB of memory with expansion slots for up to 32 GB. Frustrated... someone suggested that I update the BIOS on my newly acquired Tiny M900. I went to the Lenovo support page, downloaded the CD ISO, created a bootable USB, but now what? Do I just drop the ISO into the USB? Does it have to be "burned"? I tried just dropping the ISO into the bootable USB but upon reboot, my machine just went straight into Windows. I looked around in the BIOS but did not see anything (that an end user with my limited techno geek knowledge) indicated there was any issue with the boot order. Also, I'm concerned because according to the BIOS screen, my machine's current BIOS version is FTWC21a, but it looks like all the BIOS versions listed in the READ ME file start with FWKT?! Can anyone just provide clear instructions on how to create the bootable USB flash drive and update the BIOS? Thank you in advance!

Correction: The BIOS screens says the BIOS version is FTWC21A, but I see in the Lenovo Companion application that it's showing as FWKT38A. According to the READ ME file, there are 2 BIOS updates since this version.

Hello all,up to quite recently, I had been running Debian Stretch (4.4 kernel) on an Intel NUC NUC5I7RYH using two SSDs (Samsung 850 Pro and a Samsung 951) in RAID 0 array with no problems.Having used IBM/Lenovo equipment for decades, I decided to purchase a Lenovo M900 Tiny as I was impressed with the specifications and the physical size of the thing. One dark night, I decided to transfer my RAID 0 array from the NUC (see above) to the M900 (physically remove the SSDs from the NUC and insert them into the M900). Lo and behold, my Debian came up on the M900 with no problems, DMESG reported nothing untowards etc. This setup had been running for a week or so until with hindsight, I unwisely decided to upgrade the M900 BIOS. The original factory BIOS had a release date of December 2015 as far as I can remember. The new BIOS is FWKT38A and was released on 10.02.2016. Needless to say, after this upgrade, that was the end of my RAID 0 and my Debian. I have since reinstalled Debian on the M900, using the two abovementioned SSDs in a RAID 0 array - everything completes as it should, at this stage I would expect to have a bootable system - but no. On boot, no diagnostics, error messages, just a "black screen".I have run all of the Lenovo diagnostics on all hardware components (including the SSDs) with no error messages returned. If I install Debian using just one of the SSDs (Samsung 850 Pro), things work, i.e. the system comes up (boots).I am at a loss here as to why things are not wor... I'm experiencing monitor flickering on a new M700 Tiny that I recently installed. The flickering is in the form of diagonal lines or tears across the monitors that appear randomly. The issue is occurring on both monitors and I've switched out DisplayPort cables. (this model only has DisplayPort) I've also updated the video drivers and the BIOS. I've also tried different ports on the PC. One thing I did notice is that when I switched out the DisplayPort cables the issue became much, much worse. When I use a DVI to DisplayPort cable along with a 6ft DisplayPort cable for the other monitor the flickering is intermittent. When I use two 3ft DisplayPort cables from Amazon the issue becomes extremely bad.

Hi, I have a brand new m700 tiny. I'm very pleased with the purchase except for one minor detail: the "alt + p" startup feature isn't working with my logitech usb keyboard. I've checked that the easy startup is enabled in bios, but the alt + p combination doesn't do anything, either in Windows or Linux, and I have to press the power button on the tiny to boot the system. I've tried plugging the keyboard into different usb ports. Am I missing something? Thanks for any advice, Tim

My organization has purchased a number of M700 Tiny units, So far there have been a few minor issues but nothing spectacular. But one issue we keep coming across is a dual monitor problem on machines with only one monitor connected. The problem is the user comes in and turns on the machine and gets past the HDD password we have setup and then gets into windows and all they see is a black screen. Ifthey move the mouse to the screen they can see it. We get a call about a black screen and nothing on it. We go to the system and find it is plugged in and all is good. Windows 10 is acting like it has dual monitors setup but the unit has never had a second screen connected to it. The M700 has dual Display Ports on it. I am finding this issue on either of the two ports but usually the one not close to the power adapter. If the monitor is plugged into the one mentioned I moved it to the one closest to the power and that seems to resolve the issue for most. Every now and the problem is with the one closest to the power adapter. I have run all the system updates from Lenovo System Updater and still find this randomly happens. I am guessing this is a windows 10 issue. The machines do not yet have the anniversary update. That is something we are planning on rolling out soon. Does anyone have any suggestiongs for this type of problem? Has any one else experienced this?

I just got this M700 SFF desktop, which has 2 Displayports and 1 VGA output. The PC has Intel HD 530 Integrated Graphics. - Should I be able to use THREE monitors at "extended desktop" setting from 2 X DP + 1 X VGA? Right now, I am running One (Dell S2216H) Monitor from One of the Displayport via DP to HDMI adapter (since the monitor doesn't support DP input) and another same model monitor from the VGA output, using a VGA cable. If I try the second Displayport, it seems to show no output. I tried the same setup as the first monitor, DP>DP to HDMI Adapter>HDMI cable>Monitor; doesn't work. I tried unplugging the VGA connected one and run the setup, doesn't work. I shifted the working setup i.e. DP Adapter>HDMI to that displayport from the working one, the monitor doesn't get any input. In both cases, monitors connected to the last Displayport isn't detected by the graphics card or control panel. I have updated my BIOS to .....67 (as shown in Lenovo Support page) and changed the Display from PCE to IGD (as suggested in another Lenovo Support forum), but the BIOS setting doesn't show any option for "Enable Multiple Monitor Support" I have designated the DP>HDMI connected monitor as my primary display. - How can I get the other Displayport to work? - Can I use two Displayport output (via HDMI) to two monitors simultaneously at extended desktop setting? - How can I check/diagnose if that Displayport is correctly connected for giving any output at all?

I'm wondering if the m700 Tiny supports UASP. I'm currently running Windows 7 Pro, which does not natively support UASP. Windows 10 does. I guess I'm reluctantly willing to "upgrade" if the Tiny supports UASP at all. Does anyone know for sure i.e. not speculating? Have you personally tried it?
