Please be aware I have already performed the following tasks with no effect.

Hi all. I having a problem with Win 1709 update since december 2017. My system (Win 10 Home 64 bit, ver 1703, OS BUILD 15063.850) is crushes (see attached screenshot) during the installation. I tried to install it multiple times. I also asked for help from MS support, but they killed my system so I had to reinstall it. I also tried following: Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool (mdsched.exe) -> no issues have been foundUpdate your BIOS -> there are no updates for my modelCheck and Repair Windows System Files (sfc /scannow) -> evrything is OKIChange power settings to High Performance -> does not helpTrobelshoot > Windows Update > Run The Trobleshooter. This one fixed some problem with "Service registration is missing or corrupt"Scann for viruses with Windows Defender. The blue screen of death shows stop code MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, not sure what else I can do in order to solve this issue. Thanks.

Connecting to an ethernet cable to the internet via a Dell USB-C hub prior to installing the Win10 Fall Creators update. Now my only option is to connect via WIFI. I was previously running the Window 10 spring creator's update without issue on my Yoga 910. However, after the fall creator's update (1709) the fan is VERY loud when plugged into AC power. When running on battery, it's whisper quiet. All BIOS/Software/drivers are up to date, and I've rebooted numerous times. Power mode slider is set to either all the way to the left (power saver) or one notch to the right. At times with the high fan usage, the system seems bogged down and very slow to respond to keystrokes. Task manager doesn't reveal anything super obvious using high CPU time.

Hi Guys, Looking to consolidate the list of issues I have with my TP since updating to Win10 Fall Creators Update (1709) update. And I am looking for help in resolving the outstanding issues. I have gone through the common resolution methods on this official Lenovo site as well as from this collection of tips. Outstanding issues below. 1. Keyboard AUTO backlight setting is not working, light doesn't come on when its dark on its own.2. Auto screen brightness control is not working3. Screen rotation button is still greyed out in the sidebar as well as settings4. OLED colour profile settings had stopped working and disappeared. (But this fix worked)5. Intel SGX drivers were busted (finally updated on their own via Win10) Now for 1, 2 and 3, I think this is an integrated sensors issue and I have tried uninstalling the Intel Sensor Solution device drivers from Device Manager and then updated the drives through Lenovo Companion. Nothing changed.Windows Update later also installed an update called Intel Integrated Sensor Solution but these issues have not gone away. On a positive note, this Win10 update and the related updates to Synaptics touchpad drivers resolved the issue of the cooling fan being constantly being on (this forum attributed the issue to bad synaptics drivers). Anyone else facing the same issue related to sensors on this machine? As of 5 minutes ago, there were no new updates on LenovoCompanion or on Win10. Thanks

Hi:
After upgrading my XPS13 to last Creator Update (Build 1709) I face a lot of wireless issues.

Many wireless networks availables do not show on the list of available networks even if are active and I can connect with other devices
takes a very long time to connect to wireless networks and shows the yellow triangle and need to try several times until it connects.
After sleeping or hibernating the laptop it does not connect to any wireless network. I need to restart and wait for quite a long time (over 5 minutes sometimes) until XPS13 connects again.
XPS13 easily disconnects from active wireless networks

Before updating to Windows Creator Update (Build 1709), XPS13 worked like a charm.

Already run Dell diagnosys and did not detect anythinh wrong.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Dell Wireless 1560 802.11 ac

But still facing the wireless issues. It makes working with my XPS13 difficult.
So I would like to know:

How could I check what is wrong?
Could I uninstall the 1709?
if that was not possible: How could I do a fresh install (and do not loose the Windows Pro upgrade I bought some months ago)?

  Hi, there, I have updated 3 weeks back windows 10 to its new updates fall creator, but unfortunately, mad everything destroyed. microsoft tech agent took in remort session and did a fresh windows10, while my Lenovo pre-installed Apps and drivers were not there. yesterday I have done once again windows via'' Lenovo USB creator tool recovery ''. now i am afraid if I run the windows updates once again it will disappear my Lenovo apps etc and will rise issue. contacted Lenovo but they said I am out of there area. kindly tell me a safe way.thanks.Nafees.

This laptop has ALWAYS struggled to connect to some networks that my phone and tablet can connect to no problem, eg in hotels, Starbucks etc. Here is an example. I want to know why Lenovo doesn't connect to wifi, it's consistently infuriating and I may return the laptop to the retailer if I can't get a solution. Here's the network that my Android phone has no problem with: Yet when I connect with the laptop I get no Internet connection:I have installed the latest wireless drivers from Intel but still it does not work. After updating system to Fall Creators Update of W10 (1709) Dolby Digital Plus App  is reported to be deactivated /deinstalled due to driver incompatibility.
(It appears that driver/ app came with PowerDVD 12 preinstalled.)
 
Manual start of Dolby App shows that driver version installed is higher than expected by app (see screenshot).
Can some resolve driver/app problem, so I can use app again.

I am running an HP ProBook 440 with Window 7 Pro SP1 64bit. It has an Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-8260 for Bluetooth. I am trying to stream audio from the laptop to a Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker. The laptop and the speaker are connecting but audio remains on the laptop speakers. I've looked through the properties for the Bluetooth devices in the device manager. Is there, and if so, where do i find, a configuration to turn on the audio portion of the wireless device? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 700-15ISK with Windows 10 installed and after each time Windows forces me to update to version 1709, the laptop no longer recognises any wireless networks and I cannot find any way of getting the wireless connection back. The wireless icon disappears, it is as if the laptop no longer realizes that it has wireless capability, and I only see the icon indicating that a wired connection is not connected. This has happened about five or six times by now! I have tried restarting, turning airplane mode on and off, running the Network Troubleshooter (it doesn't find anything), checking the network adapter driver (it is always up to date already), and doing a network reset. I am not a computer expert so I don't know what else to try. I just keep reverting to the previous version of Windows every time it updates, but I would like to know if this is an issue with the laptop or whether there is some other step that needs to be tried. And since I can't connect to the internet once the update installs, it's kind of hard to troubleshoot at that point. Thanks.

Hello I've got a problem with Windows 1709 update. After I updated, games only sees and uses my R7 APU graphics card.My dedicated R9 M385X has absolutely no usage. In AMD crimson software, I can't set anything to "High performance" mode, so everything sticks with the R7 card. (More precisely I can set to R9 but the program sets it back to R7). Hello Folks,
I have a XPS 13 9360, 16 GB with an upgrade Samsung 960 Evo NVMe 1TB drive. I'm running Windows 10 Pro Build 1703, and the system runs nicely. However, yesterday Windows Update made me upgrade to 1709. The upgrade process ran smoothly, but afterwards I had the following problems:

When I tried to save a Hyper-V VM, my system sometimes crashes with a blue screen
When shutting down windows, the system gets stuck on the "Shutting down..." screen and can only be switched off by long-pressing the power-button. After that, the system boots into maintenance mode, when rebooting again it boots normally.

I forced a downgrade to 1703 and the problems disappeared again. Now I have disabled upgrades and am trying to find out how to fix this.
Has anyone run into problems with the 1709 update? Any suggenstions?

After installing Windows Fall creators update 1709 my Sierra EM7345 almost doesn't work. When I establish the connection everything works fine, but only for 15-30 seconds, then connection goes away. Ping 8.8.8.8 starts throwing error: General failure. I tried installing newest driver from lenovo support, but situation hasn't changed. I updated my OptiPlex 7050 to the Fall Creators Update 1709 and my HDMI port has stopped working.  I'm running a dual monitor system, one monitor is using the display port and the other is using HDMI port.  After the update the port just stopped functioning. 
Here's what I've tried:

I've tried three different monitors
Tried three different hdmi cables, plus one HDMI to display port
Flashed the BIOS
Installed the latest display drivers from Dell

As soon as I roll back the update, everything is fine.  To stop Windows to keep trying to update, I've set the branch readiness level to "Current Branch for Business" and deferred it for 365 days. 
Is anyone else having this problem? 
I'm in No hurry to install this update!

Tried to upgrade from Windows Update as well as using the Media Creator Tool by downloading from the Microsoft website, neither of them works. In the end, I got an error code "0xC1900101 - 0x20017", and a message "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation." I have every driver and OS software updated to-date. I do have Ubuntu installed as a dual-boot OS and Macrium Reflect configured as a recovery software from the boot, which might have caused the problem. I encountered this issue a while ago with the Spring Creator Update (see here), and I fixed it by deleting the Ubuntu booting partition, which I definitely want to avoid! I searched on Google, similar issued happened for HP laptops and was related to the BIOS driver. Does anyone know if this issue is related to the Thinkpad BIOS setting or something we have to wait for Lenovo to fix? Any solution to this issue? Thanks.

At this point I fear I must surrender to Dell and Microsoft and give up (something I hate to do). I have spent many, many, many hours and attempted every suggestion I could find on the web to make the Windows 10 Creator Update 1709 upgrade work, I have contracted with Microsoft and with Dell to have them make it work and they both tell me the same thing, that my computer will NEVER be able to run the update because it was not designed to.
My 7 year old Dell XPS L501X laptop with an i5 Intel processor and 6 gig of memory has been made useless by the corporations that manage this computer’s ability to stay current and secure with the provided Windows 10 operating system. When I purchased this beast of a laptop I fully expected to have more than 10 years of useful computing from it but apparently the companies have different ideas. It may be a conspiracy, or just inept engineering and programming, I will never know.
I have been told by Dell that I should have never upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 as the computer was not supported by Dell on Windows 10 and the fact that Microsoft encouraged us to move to Windows 10 was not their problem.
I am curious if anyone else has a Dell XPS L501X and what their experiences have been. Please let me know if you have one and how it is going.

Hi. Few weeks ago i made bootable iso on pendrive USB Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
Propably 16299.15 version if i remember. But i get issues.

I get a tons of WHEA LOGGER errors in event viewer:

A spam of: WHEA Event ID 19 CPU-corrected hw error

And only one : WHEA Event ID 47 memory-corrected hw error

Looks like this:



Temps of cpu fine,temps of gpu fine. Never had any single BSOD. Memtest86 no errors. All benchmarks passing, no crashing in games.

Only saw that errors in event viewer.

I tried to update to

KB4056892 ( 16299.192).

And it stopped throwing that errors after installing update on 22.01 :

All settings in UEFI are stock,defaulted . Only XMP profile is on.

Any clues why on 16299.15 i get hardware corrected errors?

I am working on an Ideapad Yoga 13 and after the Creator's Update was issued I have not been able to run dual monitors on this PC. When I open the device manager, the graphics driver is showing an error and the properties menu returns the following message:"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I have tried reinstalling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver about 10 times, including the most recent version from Intel, and about 5 previous versions. None have been operable. I did also try resetting the PC, which worked for about 5 minutes before reverting back to the current state. Is this something that can be resolved? Or has this graphics card simply reached the end of its run?

Hello, Windows 10 fall creator auto update initialized & update failed multiple times. Requesting to pls confirm is it compactable with Flex 2-14D or tested. Problem is that, I'm unable to stop auto updated & post update installation failed, Its getting downloaded everytime. Why lenovo not prepared for such updates? Regards,VR No clear error logs as well.

I am planning to update my windows 10 system to fall creators update (1709) but i am not sure whether the KIS is compatible with this version of windows 10 (1709).

KIS version currently installed on my system:- 18.0.0.405 (d)

I recently updated to Windows 10 build 1709 known as the fall creators update.  Since applying the update fast startup/shutdown no longer works.  I have reinstalled the latest power management driver just to be sure but it still exhibits the same behavior.  With fast startup enabled in power options when I tell the system to shutdown it simply logs out and will not power off.  The only way to get it to power off is to disable fast startup in the power options.  Annoyingly it re-enables itself after every cumulative update. Any ideas?
