I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So out of the box, my Yoga 920 was missing the batteries and tips for the Active Pen 2 but I got an empty pen.  So Lenovo ships me a new pen but this one is a Lenovo Active Pen although it does list 4096 levels of pressure.  What's the difference between the pens and is the original compatible with the Yoga 920?I have it still in the box... Thanks.

I've tried downloading the Active Pen for Windows 10 (64-bit) software and restarting my laptop but still nothing happens. Is there anything else I need to do to make the software compatible or to set up the pen? Thanks!

Hi, I've just purchased Yoga 920-13IKB (4k green) and active pen 2. I find it very difficult to draw or write on the screen. The pen is working but it is very unstable. It usually does not respond althogh I push the pen pretty hard. I tried One Note, Le-note... but the problem still exists. How can I know the problem is from the pen or the Yoga? Do we have any setting to increase the sensitivity of the pen or the screen? Can I try another pen and what kind of pen should I try? Thank you! Regards,Chuong

Unofrtunatley I am still having the issue where my pen will still write on the screen without me touching the actual screen. this becomes and issue when taking notes or using the pen as a cursor, because I will being to write and a little scribble will show up before I write, and when using it as a cursor, it will just click whatever I am hovering over. I have tried to reduce the sensitivity, but with no success. I have looked at the configurable options under "Pen & Windoes Ink" and no dice. I must be missing something somewhere please help. The only thing I want is for the pen to write only when I touch the screen, not hovering over it. Thanks, Ken

Hello, I'd like to know if the Yoga 520 offers an active digitizer making the use of an active pen possible. Not a passive/capacitive one, but an ACTIVE one. I've recently bought a notebook which said it had support for active pens and ended up with a touchscreen instead which offers capacitive pen support only. I aim to use Staffpad with it so if I could be informed of it's compatibility with the app that'd be better.

So recently I bought the Lenovo Active Pen (GX80K32882) off of Amazon, and it's been working fine. I decided to switch from the included pen because it was larger and gave more of a natural feeling. However, today when I pulled out the built-in pen, it didn't work. I've tried restarting and updating drivers to no avail. I'm not sure if it's because the charging pins were somehow bent and it's now out of battery, or because of some other hardware/software issue. Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? Thanks!

I purchased a Lenovo yoga 720 earlier this year, however the active pen 2 has never turned on using the button at the top (no light has come on and neither of the buttons towards the nib provide any function), I can use the pen to point and on contact it will draw, however the quality seems poor. If I remove the battery then it will not draw or write on contact, I have tried two newly purchased batteries without any success. I contacted the UK customer service as that is where I had purchased it (with a worldwide warranty), however as I am now living in Cambodia they could only offer solutions of reinstalling drivers or purchasing a new pen locally. I tried taking it to a local Lenovo authorised service centre, whilst they were keen to try and help they either lacked the knowhow or the parts to repair it and were not authorised to request a replacement. Are there any other options available to me here? I'm not really satisfied with the service I've been receiving. I don't really want to pay a further $60 for a replacement for something which should have been working upon receiving it. Might the Thai or Vietnamese customer service be able to provide assistance with this? I appreciate I should have got onto it when I was back in the UK, however I had other priorities and it didn't get done.

So I recently purchased a Yoga 920 I am following the instructions to configure my pen.  I have connected it to my computer's bluetooth.    However the "Pen & Windows Ink" settings only allow me to configure the top button on my pen.  Not the two barrell buttons. The instructions says I need either "Lenovo Pen Settings App"  or "Wacom Pen App"  to configure the two barrell buttons.  It doesn't seem to be preinstalled on computer, and I cannot find where to download them.   The instructions say to go to  http://www.lenovo.com/support,  look up my computer, and download the app from the "Drivers and Software" section.  But none of the apps are listed there for the Yoga 920.    So, what am I supposed to do?  Where can I get these apps? These are the instructions I'm looking at btw: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/options/lenovo_pen_button_config_guide.pdf https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/options/lenovo_active_pen2_qsg_v2.0_201705.pdf And even this guide here says I need the Wacom Pen App: https://gtrusted.com/how-to-set-up-the-lenovo-active-pen-2-on-the-lenova-yoga-920-2-in-1-pc But,  How do I get it?? Thanks in advance  Edit: So I found the Wacom Pen App at the microsoft store and tried to insall it.  (And I already have Wintab (64 bit) installed.)  But when I try to run the app, it says "This app requires the Wacom Pen... Hello Lenovo Community!Note: I do realise that there have been many related threads but after hours of research I still feel a bit lost and confused... I?m about to purchase a new laptop and I decided to go for another ThinkPad. The Yoga series seems like a nice and portable alternative for my current laptop + Wacom tablet setting. What made picking a particular one difficult is the fact that I need to be sure it?s pen enabled (with pressure sensitivity). The 12?s seem to be a safe choice as they have built-in pen slots, however they are also a little bit too small for my artistic needs. My dream TPY is at least 14? and has dedicated graphics and I?ve actually seen them around. The problem is that they don?t have a pen included I don?t know how to check if they work with digitizers. If I understand correctly, digitizer support is an option for 14?/15? models, so:How to check if a particular TPY supports the digitizer? Is there any indication of it in the detailed model code?If it isn?t that easy to verify, could those of you who already have a 14?/15? share their model codes so we could list them for future generations of pen-obsessed TPY seekers?  Thank you in advance for any help (including closing this thread and directing me to a place where the answer is! )

Hi I bought a Yoga 900s yesterday and so far I like it. I bought the active pen and it arrived today. However there is no documentation on how to connect it. I've tried with Bluetooth, I clicked and held both buttons on the pen, and nothing works. I read on a different model that if the laptop says it has 10 point pen and touch that it would not support a pen. I can't belive that to be accurate. This is a $1300 device and the pen says it is compatible with this model. Anyone out there that can shed light on this for me?

A:Cannot connect active pen to Yoga 900s

I just discovered I was sold a 900 and was told and it was labeled as a 900s. Now I know why I can't connect this pen, it doesn't work with the 900. But I'm trying to decide if the i7 and 16GB of RAM is worth the lack of using a pen. I've tried a plan stylus with it and cannot use it either. I need something to use as a pen though. Very frustrating that Best Buy did this.

I previously owned an X1 Yoga 1st Gen and now own a 3rd Gen (20LD).  Fantastic machines (I love reading with the X1 yoga-ed to the tablet position) except for one aggravation ... the Active Pen(s) are almost impossible to use to highlight text in Kindle.  I have tried both the Active Pen that comes with the X1 and Active Pen 2. Let's see if I can explain in words: To highlight any text, I press the top button, place the nib at the beginning of the desired text, then drag to the end point.  If the end point is at the end of, say, a paragraph with no text to the right of the last word, I can continue to drag the nib to the right, then lift and release the button, and all of the text that I selected remains highlighted and I can then add a note or colored highlighting, etc.  Perfect.  Exactly, what I want. BUT, if the end point has text to the right of it, I must stop at the end point, lift and release the button.  But by doing so, the highlighted text truncates to the final word and a Dictionary definition for that word pops up.  NOT what I want, at all!  This action repeats every time no matter how I drag the nib, release the button, cross my legs, or hold my breath.  ARRGH!  And this behavior occurs in other reader type programs, as well. Am I missing something?  How can I get this to work without having to resort to using a mouse?  Is this something that the Active Pen/Wacom people can fix -... UNIT SPECS: -i5, 8th gen U-gtx 1050 GPU-8 GB RAM-1080p IPS display-256 GB of storage-90 Watt AC Adapter I know that this has another thread, but it'd marked as "solved", whereas the issue has not been solved at all.  So, the basics of the issue: CPU runs fine during normal use and when stress testing on XTU, but then immediately downclocks itself to between .4 and .8 Ghz when the NVidia 1050 is active.  During games or benchmarking (used UnEngine Valley), this results in a drop to 10-25 fps on average.  CPU power drops by about 75% and bottlenecks the GPU so that it can only perform around 30-50%.If you exit out of the app's window, the GPU will not be in use and the CPU will gradually clock itself back up to normal levels.Another user pointed out a workaround where you can disable Intel Thermal Framework to reduce the issue.  The problem is that ITF exists for a reason and disabling it increases heat, reduces battery life, and can damage your PC.  Theoretically it could also void warranty if any damage resulted from disabling the feature. No thermal throttling is occurring, which makes it odd that ITF would be strangling the processor.  Even if that were an issue, it could just lower the CPU to its base clock (not below) and temps would be fine. This probably some issue caused by acombination of Lenovo's BIOS interacting with ITF, but it could also be hardware related.   The takeaway is that you can't use the device'... Hello. I am currentlly experiencing issues with Adobe Photoshop CS6 when using the Active pen that comes with the Yoga 14. When "Press and hold for right clicking" is disabled in Pen and Touch settings, any click-and-drag actions using the pen in Photoshop causes the cursor to stick. I recorded these to illustrate the problem: Using mouse (how it's supposed to work)Using pen (strangely enough, when I use screen recording, the pen's cursor doesn't appear to move, so I had to record with my phone to show the issue) If I use modifier keys (alt, shift, ctrl) while clicking with the pen in Photoshop, the same thing happens: the pen cursor seems to be stuck in place as I move the pen. These issues seem to happen exclusively with Photoshop - the pen behaves normally in other softwares. Also, I cannot enable "press and hold", because that will just lead to a different issue that has been known for years in Photoshop. I have tried different methods to fix this, including disabling Windows ink, and disabling press and hold is the only thing that works.

Does anyone know where I can obtain the Active Pen 2 Settings App?    I uninstalled the app thinking I'd easily find it on the Lenovo site.  I was wrong.  My issue was the pen settings would not save when changed in the app.  Example:   The two buttons could not be programmed to do anything other than what I initially programmed them to do.  I previously had them set to Ctrl= and Ctrl- in order to quickly zoom while editing in Photoshop.  I wanted to disable the lower button and change the upper button to Alt.  I would clear the button keystrok and input a new keystroke yet when I attempted to use the pen it functioned just as it had before.  No changes were capable of being saved.

Hey Guys I'm rather confused about the pen support for the new Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15. I've read quite a bit about it and find the information quite inconsistent. Some say it does support active pen some say it will in april and some say it doesn't. What I would like to know:A.) What kind of pen technology does the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 support atm?B.) Are there any changes in sight? / When? / What changes?C.) Can I write on it while resting my hand on the screen aka has it palm rejection?D.) How good is it for note taking? Can it keep up with my writing speed? Links to videos where I can actually see it being used / tested would be greatly appreciated.

A:Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 15 Active Pen

From what I know there isn't too much information out so far. But here's what I found out. First off, the current Thinkpad Yoga 14 and 15 don't support pen digitizers at all, and will not in the future.Secondly, the Toshiba Encore 2 Write apparently uses the same technology. See this thread. Here's what I know:- It's called Wacom "Active ES" as in Active Electro Static.- It's battery powered. Unlike Wacom's older technology, you need a battery in the pen.- Palm rejection is more of a driver thing and not the technology. So it works, basically.- People say it feels "different", not sure if that means better or worse.- Precision is apparently very good, perhaps even better than the older tech without battery.- Pen lag (speed) doesn't seem to be an issue. Might even be better than the older technology. Other than that I personally couldn't find any information about whatever will be built into the Thinkpad Yoga 14 and 15 Only that they call it "Active Pen" and that it will be out in April. Also that the displays will support something called "anypen" which basically means you can use any pen-shaped metal object to write on the display. But that isn't really of any interest to me because I want pressure sensitivity.

Hi, quick question: I bought a Yoga 2 Pro in late 2014. It has a touchscreen and after upgrading to Windows 10 some time ago, I now noticed the Windows Ink workspace icon up as an option. Will it work with an (any) active pen or just (if at all) with one of these regular (capacitive) stylus pens? I have searched for quite some time now but couldn't find a conclusive answer anywhere.
