Q: Solved: Dowload cell phone to computer

Can I download text from my my lg motorola, to my desktop using a usb cable? Over at verizon I got just as many yes you can as no you can't, with everything in between.
What's the story?

Preferred Solution: Solved: Dowload cell phone to computer

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I don't know if this is the right forum but I thought I'd start here.

I have a Motorola Entice W766.

I currently have pictures and video I took with the phone located in the phone's internal memory.

When I click on the mobile phone icon in vista, the device is listed as "V CAST Moblile Phone-Internal Memory". I can see the music files I uploaded from my computer to my phone via usb cable using vcast/rhapsody. But there are no picture or video files listed even though I know they are there because I can view them on my phone.

I did set all files and folders to not hidden using vista.

So, how in the heck do I find the files? And then, how do I transfer them to my pc?

Any help appreciated.

I was wondering if there is any bluetooth software that allows you to answer calls with your pc. Where my computer is, there is no cell phone signal, so my cell phone is always laying somewhere in a room that have signal, but then it happen alot that the cell ring while I'm at the pc and then I don't hear the cell phone. So, is there any bluetooth software that will allow me to take the call via my computer?

A:Talk on cell phone via computer? ? ?

If your phone is blue tooth capable you should be able to wear a blue tooth headset to answer the phone and talk. Granted the range is only about 30 FT but I know I have gotten better range than that with my blue tooth headset.

The full text of the exact error might help. What did Verizon and AOL say when you talked to them about the problem? What things did they have you try? Is the phone's memory full? Are the pictures large? Is there a problem with your account with the carrier?

does anyone know which software supports this kind of transfer? and also, is this specific to any cell phones. i'm assuming that you can't do this on a non-camera phone.

A:how to put graphics from the computer to a cell phone

What phone do you have?
Usually when you get the USB adapter, it will come with software that will transfer images if it doesn't show up as a removeable drive.
The images need to be within a certain pixel range, but you can just edit them with paint.
No, the phone doesn't need to be a picture phone, it just needs the capability of transfering data from your PC/MAC.

Try searching google for something like: 'kyocera phantom photo transfer' or '(insert brand name and model here) ring tones and downloads'.

Anyone know how to link up a cell phone and a computer? Software or any other means? I recently used Vonage and enjoyed some of its features such as receiving a message on the computer screen when having an incoming call, answering the phone on the computer, etc. Any way to have a cell phone signal forwarded to a computer and answer while on the computer - listen through headphones or speakers and speak through a microphone? Anyone have any ideas on how to do this if it is at all possible? Thanks a bunch. Cheers.

At first, I thought it was a coincidence. "There's no way a computer and a cell phone interact with each other" is what I thought. But now I'm sure, after numerous incidents, that my phone is causing my computer to crash. It will suddenly freeze and blur the screen when my cell phone rings. Now, it doesn't happen all the time; most of the time my cell phone will ring and nothing will happen. But occasionally, my cell phone ringing will coincide with my computer crashing (it just happened again as I'm typing this; obviously I'm on a different computer).

There have been times, however, that the computer has crashed without the phone ringing. But in these cases, my speakers, which buzz every time the phone rings, will still buzz. It seems bizarre to me that a cell phone ring will cause a computer to fail like that. In cases where it didn't ring, my speakers still buzz as if it had rang. Perhaps the problem lies beyond just a cell phone, towards something the cell phone creates and another thing may reproduce, to cause the speakers to still buzz?

Another odd thing is that this seems to happen in phases. I had this problem several months ago and I had thought it was a power issue. I reorganized the cables and it seemed to work fine until a couple days ago, when the problem started acting up again.

Thanks in advance for any answers you can give.

Hello & Thanks ,
Someone is hacking into my computer using their phone .
They are coming in thru my TimeWarnerCable Router/Modem .
I notice them in Network Folder .
They keep changing their mac address .

Is there a way to stop them ?
Is there a way to track them ?

A:Someone is hacking into my computer via cell phone:

Well I would immediately go into your router settings and make sure all proper security is enabled for your router. Also check the settings within windows. Also, find the setting(s) in control panel that would normally allow a computer to remotely access your computer and uncheck the check box. I know there are some programs out there that can boot intruders(I think) but I dont know the names of them if there are such programs.

A:Pictures from cell phone to computer and then email out

If you can open them in a viewer like the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer you should be able to “Save as” a JPG. If it doesn’t work there try Irfanview: www.irfanview.com

They probably have a forum specific to your phone here: http://www.phonescoop.com/ Maybe someone knows how to download them so they don’t have the .htm extension.

I want a phone that does these 2 things extremely well. High quality audio and texting technology.

1. Superior high quality audio. That includes a microphone, and a dynamic audio range speaker. As well as the means to transfer the voice data effectively.
2. Advanced texting program. I want the software to make sense, user tested. I don't want any delays, I want the backspace button to work immediately, I don't want my messages accidentally sending either. I don't want a full qwerty keyboard either. I can text just as fast with the numeral keyboard, with the auto-fill key strokes as well as saving the word to the phones dictionary.

Other important basics: Long battery life, which should be easily attainable with the stripped basic/advanced features. (some say bluetooth and camera are now basic features). Phone should be durable, buttons not easily broken, screen not easily scratched, easy to remove battery and sim card.
That's it! I don't want internet, bluetooth, camera, voice record or commands, usb port, flashlight, etc - IF: it interferes with the first 2 things I want.

I think a key problem with this is that it is 'few and far in-between' with people who would want this. Maybe demand isn't high enough.

Do you agree or disagree? Would you use this phone?

I have purchased an old Compaq Armada 7400 Notebook. I am wanting to connect it to my cell phone to access the internet, but I have no clue as to what hardware I need, or how to go about it. Does anyone know about this subject, or of any helpful links?

Thanks in advance! Oh, another problem is that this laptop only has one bay which can hold EITHER the floppy drive OR the DVD/CDROM drive at a time....SO...how in the heck could you wipe it and do a clean OS install, when removing one of the drives while booted locks the thing up?

A:Solved: Connecting Laptop To A Cell Phone?

Ok, what you will need to do is make sure that your armada has an IR port, and that your mobile has one as well. You will need to go to the website of your Mobile phone manufacturer and see if they have the software to support connectivity this way.
And you can do a clean install using the CD media that your Operating system comes on. It's not necessary to boot from a floppy first, as the Cds should be bootable.

As noted in the subject line I dropped my cell phone in a pool of water today (the case slipped off my belt while I was playing with the dog) and it was a while before I noticed it sitting in the pool. I immediately removed the battery and the phone is now drying out.

First question: how long should I wait before trying to power it again?

Second question: if it will not power up either on battery or plug is it worth trying to get it repaired? I hate the idea of paying someone to look at it if its not likely to be repairable but I also hate the idea of simply junking it.

I wanted to transfer my pics/videos from my Motorola phone (Verizon carrier) to my PC. It was suggested on this site that I buy Motorola Phone Tools, that this software would do the job. I also talked with Verizon to make sure it would do the trick. But when I got the software I was unable to transfer any pic/video. So I called Motorola for help. I found out Verizon prohibits Motorola from configuing their phone software to transfer pics/videos.

I surmized the reason Verizon prohibits this particular function is they want to make people pay messaging charges to get pics/videos from phone to pc. Because everytime you send a pic/video from your phone it is considered a message. The Motorola tech said almost all carriers they provide phones to prevent pic/video transfers using MPT. So be sure to ask your carrier first if they allow the phone you buy (not just Motorola) to work with its respective phone software. Then call the phone manufacturer to make sure you were given the correct info.

By the way you can transfer pics using Verizon two ways.

One-send pic/video as "message" to your email-then transfer from email to pc.

Two-send pic/video to your Verizon account that offers a pic/video gallery to accept your "messages". It offers some options such as word bubbles and picture altering. To get to your pc you just copy/paste to you pc.

So a warning to all those who might be considering purchasing MPT to work with Verizon and most other carriers. If you... Read more

I recently bought a wireless 3G USB modem / hot spot. Although i use it primarily by plugging in my PC USB port, It just occurred to me that my smartphone charger also has a USB port. So i was wondering if i can use the modem by using the charger USB port or not. That way i will not have to keep my PC powered on all the time. My charger has a output rating of 5V and 830mA. Without any clue as to model numbers, its a hard call to offer constructive advice, but the Palm unit will allow the export (from the PC based copy on Palm Desktop) of the addresses and numbers to a .csv file.

If your new phone has connectivity to the PC, then it may be able to import them, but that would depend widely on the model and your own ability to connect it to a PC.

Alternatively the Palm will usually allow IR (InfaRed) beaming of the addresses, and if your new phone will receive IR data then that may be possible.
