Lenovo Y410P: Graphics Card/Driver crashing and fr...

Q: Lenovo Y410P: Graphics Card/Driver crashing and fr...

I have been using this y410p to play games for almost three years now, and a small set of problems has slowly started to build. As of now, most of my games will crash within 5-10 minutes of starting, commonly accompanied by the error "Display driver has stopped responding and recovered". Most of the time, the game will just freeze with the audio continuing and I am able to close it. Sometimes however, I get much more severe crashes, where the sound over 5 seconds becomes extremely distorted, and my mouse movement becomes increasingly laggy until the whole thing just freezes, with a monotone buzzing sound coming from the speakers. I have noticed that the display driver crashes generally occur when my disk randomly spiked to 100%. Even a single second of it can cause my whole computer to crash. As of now, I can't play games that my computer has easily been able to run before. I've tried using IdeaFan to keep temperatures down, but I don't think it's temperatures causing it, seeing as I've seen it happen multiple times when the temperature is only around 50. If any of you have an idea of what could be causing this, please respond. Also of note, I am running Windows 10, which I have heard can be problematic for the y410p. Could that be causing the issue?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I am having trouble with windows 10. This laptop seems to support windows 10 but Lenovo did't bother to updat the drivers in the support section for windows 10. The issues that i have right now is my intel HD4600 (Integrated Graphics) and Nvidia GT 750M (Dicrete graphics) keep on crashing. These graphics crash with windows notifiation message saying that my Intel/Nvidia graphics stop working and recovered etc. Intel graphics will crash while playing videos (movies youtube etc) while NVIDIA graphics will crash when playing games. In both casses the graphics reovered imediately but there will be 2 to 3 seconds of graphics freeze. When nvidia graphics rash while playing game, the game will be unplayable and i need to force close the game. So far I have tested a few drivers combination for both graphics. the results are as follows: Latest Intel HD 4600 driver from Intel webpage + latest  driver for NVIDIA GT 750M from Nvidia webpage- It seems that the driver by intel is made solely for laptop without the discrete graphics. Games will crash and video playback will also crash.Intel  HD 4600 Driver from windows automatic update + Nvidia GT 750M Driver from windows automatic update - Same thing happen. Even using certified windows 10 drivers from microsoft, games keep on crashing and so does video playback.Intel HD 4600 driver from lenovo (win8.1) + Latest Nvidia GT 750M driver from Nvidia webpage - Games will work flawlessly now. I bought a y410p last December and I am extremely satisfied with it, but I would like to put in another GT 755m graphics card into the ultrabay, but I have only been able to find a removable graphics card for the y510p. I was wondering if anyone knows if and when the y410p version is coming out, or if there are any alternatives. Such as whether putting the y510p graphics card into my y410p would fit/work or any other alternative. Thank you in advance.

A:Y410p Graphics Card Upgrade Question

Y410p is not built to accomodate a second GT755M card. Although, there have been a few mods which people have implemented to fit a card in that Ultrabay slot. The mod includes modifying the GT755M card casing to get it to fit into the slot. Check out this thread - http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Y410P-Sli-Problems/m-p/1508198#M118852

Hi I am having some trouble with my graphics card or driver crashing on a new PC when trying to play World of Warcraft, It will only last anything between 5-15 minutes.

I have been only using Mac's for a long time so really don't know about the various tools etc out there to assist. So far I have downloaded TechPowerUp GPU-Z to monitor the temperature, when I am using the computer for work etc the temp sits around 44oC. Once I start the game this quickly climbs to the 90's.

When the crash occurs both monitor go black and then I see the message on them saying monitor going to sleep. The PC remains on in either two states. One that it sounds normal and the game sound is still playing, the other state is that fans in the PC spin up really fast and loud and I have to hold the power button to shut the PC down.

In the AMD CCC, I have tried with the std setting and pulling the target cpu temp down from 95 to 90 and increasing the max fan speed to 50. This didn't seem to make much difference.

The driver packing version I am using is 13.251-131206a-166389C-ATI

I put all my PC spec into the fields when I joined this forum, so hope it's easy to find as you ma need to know this. I know this card is way overkill for World of Warcraft so don't really understand why this is happening. Also in WOW I tried changing from Direct X 11 to 9 and pulled down the graphics spec, but it made no difference. All I can really say is with the temp of the graphics CPU, I expected the fan on ... A:Graphics Card/Driver Crashing AMD Radeon R9 290

dont worry about the temperature in this instance as the r9's are designed to run that hot and will run that hot for the life of the card.

is that the latest version of the drive youve downloaded or the bundled cd version. sorry I cant check as im on my phone.
if it is try the latest beta version, these sometimes have a few bug fixes.

also what power supply are you using? as its missing from your list. most r9's require 500w psu minimum and some brands state upto 600w.

a cheap higher wattage psu cant always deliver reliable wattages and or actually go as high as they state.

I'm having troubles with video. below are computer specs.
I play command & conqueer tiberium alliances, running firefox multiple profile. 9 profiles running concurently with greasemonkey scripts in each. Irrelevent but so you know what is running at time of crash.

I've got MSI afterburner on. This helps the instant crashing as in computer shutting right down. When I have afterburner runing at default settings but set fan to 100% it seems to slow down crashing. When fan runs at 100% the temp is between 30-34c. when it shows on task bar upwards around 40 it is close to a crash. It seems when there is a load on a browser when doing a sim attack or multiple attacks is when it gets closest to crash. When fan running 100% it will start crashing browser profiles. without fan running ful as soon as there is a sim load or attack then the computer would just crash right off. I've got drivers all up to date. i've seen AMD site posting regarding issues and have used that new driver without any luck. I had trouble earlier when using computer as bitcoin miner. i ended up running with just a plain jane vid card and things stayed more stable. Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

It's not a temperature issue. ~40c is idle speed. A temp issue with that card would be 100c+

What type of card? AMD or nvidia? If it was nvidia, it might be worthwhile downloading and installing Driver Fusion, un-isnstalling the AMD drivers, running Driver Fusion to clean all Nvidia and/or AMD entries and re-installing your drivers. Even if not a nvidia card, it's still a step worth trying.

After completely ruling out drivers - It's possible that the card itself is faulty or the PSU since you had issues with stability running bitcoin.

For the GPU, as a test - either downclock your video card in afterburner, or increase the voltage if you can.

For the PSU, check the voltage reporting in the BIOS. Short of using a multimeter, it's almost impossible to check voltages accurately but the BIOS reporting
Have you tried another browser for C&C?

Hello,  I have the Lenovo y40 with the intel i7-4510 and wthe AMD Radeon R9 M275 graphics card. About 1 month ago, I was in the middle of a game when my computer just shut down and gave me a blue screen. Since then, I have been unable to run my computer with the graphics driver enabled. At first, I thought it may be a driver issue and have tried both the Lenovo drivers from their page (which seemed a bit outdated) as well as the AMD drivers from the website, neither of which have worked.  Furthermore, I did do a fresh install today in hopes that would fix it, however, it did not. I get the same thing, the moment it recognizes that the AMD card is working I get a BSOD.  Some of the error codes that I have gotten with the BSODs are as follow: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER, BAD_POOL_HEADER, KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, BAD_POOL_CALLER, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (NTFS.sys).

Hello,I can't seem to find specific information about this pc related to this topic. I have a client that wants to have a hdmi port and dual monitor installed. I looked everywhere in the bios settings, I tried using a usb-to-vga adapter & and vga, dvi-d cable & vga (this mirrors both monitors, but cannot extend the display). When I changed the settings on the bios to use the built in graphics, it gives me the option to enable multiple monitors but cannot use my pcie graphic card. If i select to use the pcie graphic card, i cannot use the built in graphic ports or the usb-to-vga adapter (it does not see the other monitor) and also if I use the dvi adpater and the vga it mirrors the display. I'm guessing that the bios does not support dual graphic cards but thought of asking here. The reason the client wants this is to be able to connect a projector using hdmi and to have dual monitors. Any information will be greatly appreaciate it. Thank you.

This problem began two months ago when i updated my driver. while playing planet side two my screen turned into black and green little squares, then my whole screen when black. When the graphics re appeared a little window appeared on the bottom right corner of my screen saying " windows kernel mode driver 306.97 has stopped working and has recovered". I thought it was a problem with my driver so i tried reverting to a older version of the driver and still experianced crashes. When the latest version of the driver came out a few days ago i tried upgrading tot hat one and experienced greater problems with blue screen of death. I checked my GPU temp and its around 45 when nothing but mozilla is running besides the typical programs that start up with windows. Any idea of what may be causing this? i have had this graphics card and computer for about a year now playing graphic intense games such as wow, darfall, and now planetside2 without any problem till a few months ago. I can also link the dumpfile if that helps?

Ever since the latest update, Firefox has been crashing my display driver. I have no idea why it would be doing it, but I know it's FF because it only happens when FF is open. It also has been using a lot of memory as well. I don't use a lot of plug-ins. If I have FF open, sometimes with as few as two tabs up and no other programs running, the display will suddenly go black (no input message then goes to sleep). I ctrl-alt-del, but still nothing for a few minutes. Then the display comes back on and I get this notification that pops up about how the display driver crashed and recovered, and then everything is fine. FF is the latest version and so is my display driver. Could it be because I don't have Windows 7 SP1 installed?

A:Graphics driver crashing

If you're running version 9.0, go to Help > About Firefox and click the Check For Updates button. A new 9.0.1 update was released today to fix a problem with system crashes.

It wouldn't do any harm to update Windows 7 to SP1, but I don't know if it will fix your Firefox problem which sounds like it's due to drivers, plugins or addons.

Try disabling all your addons, then restart Firefox and see if the problem returns. If this fixes it, reinstall your addons one at a time, restarting Firefox after each one and testing until it crashes again. The last addon reinstalled is the most likely cause, so see if there's an update available for it yet to make it fully compatible with the latest Firefox.

Also, make sure your plugins are up to date. Click here to test: Firefox Plugin Checker

My Lenovo Y410P (64-bit edition) came shipped with Windows 8.1.  I upgraded to Windows 10 last year.  Recently, my computer began freezing, and often times would not boot up.  I was forced to re-install Windows.  All is fine now except that the Lenovo Management software is nowhere to be found.  Yes, it is available from the Lenovo website but there is no listing nor reference to that software that is compatible with the Lenovo Y410P running Windows 10 (upgrade) 64-bit.  As a result, my batter is stuck at the 60% charge with no way to change that. Can anyone tell me, definitively, if that software is still available for the Lenovo Y410P running Windows 10 Home 64-bit?  If so, where can I find it?

I was using my bluetooth mouse when it suddenly stopped. Digging into it, it looks like bluetooth is no longer working on my y410p laptop.  - I no longer have bluetooth options under All Settings > Devices (Windows 10)- Bluetooth no longer shows up in my device manager In my computer properties there's an Unknown USB Device that is listed as "Port_#0007_#Hub#0003". I'm guessing this is my bluetooth card, which is no longer working. Can comeone with a working Intel bluetooth module confirm?  The device events show a Device not started description "Device USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\... had a problem starting" My guess is that my bluetooth adapter is blown, but I'm hoping it's something that can be fixed through software.  Thanks.

I am writing this post to acquire additional information about why this may be. What I have is a Lenovo y410p that shipped with just the standard 1tb hard drive (I did not get the additional ssd). I purchased a small, working, 16gb m.2 ssd to try out in the laptop before I spend money on something much larger. I open up the laptop, plug it in (it some fiit perfectly, not a hitch) and assemble and turn the laptop back on. Now, after playing in the BIOS which doesn't allow you to change anything (horrible BIOS btw), it also does not show up in device/disk manager. According to the BIOS it does not see the drive at all. I had once, miraculously, it did see the drive, then when I booted it was gone. Does anyone have an idea how I may be able to enable that port? Or if that port on mine is busted? ... Key Points- The m.2 drive itself is working, and tested in an external enclosure- Drive has showed up in BIOS like twice, randomly, then not after computer is booted- Drive has never shown up in device/disk manager- I know this is the right drive, m.2 ngff ssd because it fits and is not pci-e based. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I know there is not a whole lot of documentation on this issue anywhere else, so we may be able to help someone else out as well!

A:Lenovo Y410p M.2 SSD port not working

It might need to get the drive initialize and then install a program to make it act as a cache. I'm not sure if the program is Expresscache but take a look at this procesure if it is what you need.

Ok, so I had just picked up this laptop second hand about 2 weeks ago. When I had first gotten it, it was on Windows 10. Realizing not long after, that the GPU software was not installed. So given the drivers Lenovo and Nvidia provided, I installed what was neccessary. After everything was installed, I noticed that the Nvidia Control Panel, like before, was still not accessable. If you right click on the desktop, it does not pop up. I tried going into the hidden icon tab and on the GeForce Experiance tab by right clicking it to access the Nvidia Control Panel and I get a message saying "Nvidia display settings not availabe - You are not currently using a display with a NVIDIA GPU" As well as Device Manager giving me the 'Error 43' with the annoying yellow triangle... So following forums elsewhere, I was suggested to down grade to Windows 8.1. After doing so, I had tried installing the drivers (This time in orderly fashion) and to my luck, it still doesn't work... Even gained problems like GeForce Experience not working most of the time, just a dead app. I tried using DDU to un-install, reinstall and no luck. I then used DDU again, but installed earlier drivers off a 3rd party provider and install the updates through the older version of GeForce Experience I found. That worked and the GeForce Experience app seemed to be working great, but more problems have occured. To simplify it out a little, I will list them. Problems as follows: - Computer boots with no Control P... Read more

Hi there,

So I have been having problems with my graphics card for a while now, the details of which are shown in my specs.

It keeps crashing and failing and restarting, even though I have updated the drivers. It's also causing problems I think with Direct X, and I have updated this as well.

Its causing me problems with games I'm playing, crashing them as well.

It's especially bad when I'm on skype, flickering the screen and any connecting monitors to flicker also.

It's slowing down my laptop generally.

Please help, this is a major pain in the butt. Any details you want, just ask, I'm on regularily.

Thanks a lot,

A:Help with Graphics card crashing.

Sounds like an overheating problem. Do you use any outside fans for the laptop....chill mats or chill pads...a must investment for laptops. Have you cleaned out the intake and exhaust ports of laptop with a can of compressed air. I recommend if using a laptop as primary PC to blow it out at least twice a week. You'd be surprised as to how much dust and blockages it can have.

I built my own pc from scratch but every now and again the screen freeze for about 10 seconds, goes black and comes back on, then a notification pops up on the bottom right saying the graphics card stopped working and has been restarted.

I've tried uninstalling the drivers and tried loads of versions including the new beta one but it still does it.

I ran a program to stress test the CPU and ram and no errors came up and did the same for the gfx card with the same results.

And it only crashes when im doing little things like surfing the web or photo shopping but if i have a film playing in the background whilst surfing its okay, and it works fine playing saints row the third.

Its an AMD Radeon HD 6670 2GB, all help would be greatfully received, i know its not a top of the line gfx card but its all i could get at the time so will upgrade at a later date.

thanks in advance and for looking.

A:Graphics Card Keeps Crashing

The error typically states the display driver has stopped resonding and has been restarted (as opposed the "graphics card" has stopped working).

It is typically the result of a driver issue, but could literally be caused by numerous problems. Insufficient power, low quality power supply, heat caused by poor cooling or dust/dirt buildup, video drivers, driver conflicts between hardware, RAM, etc.

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased Warhammer Online and found I needed to upgrade my video card to play. I was running an ATI Radeon 9200 and needed to get a card with shaders, etc. So I purchased the following:

PNY GeForce 6200 256mg AGP 8x/4xw DVI / TV-OUT VGA

It's basically one of the few cards supported by the game that my computer can handle. Here are my comp specs as best I remember them (at work at the moment)

- Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz Processor
- 200gb hard drive
- 2gb Ram
- Windows XP Professional SP2 (at least it should be...i'll have to double check when I get home)
- 300Watt power supply (card requirements were only 270...one of the reasons I picked it)
- Motherboard.... (i've noticed sometimes people ask for this...tell me where to find that info and I'll get it for you when I get home)

I apologize if I'm missing info...let me know what else you require and I'll get it for you asap. Yes...my computer is getting old and crappy, but it has served its purpose until now...

So here's the problem. After installing the drivers from the CD, I went to the nVidia website to install the latest driver from their website, which I did. Restarted the computer, everything looked fine. I booted up Warhammer, started playing (on min settings, mind you ), and within 5 minutes the card crashed. Hi, I have been using this Lenovo Ideapad y410p for 6 years which has been awesome throughout these years. Still its battery backup and processor performance is satisfying. The only issue I am having these days is its HDD response. I have a mechanical usual HDD which takes bit long time to wake up from sleep mode, start playing videos or games. It also seems to make spinning noise when I play games. I am seeking for a suggestion from experts. 1. I have an unused 42mm m.2 ssd slot in my laptop. Should I add a 256GB M.2 NGFF SSD there and install OS in ssd?2. Or should I simply replace my existing HDD with a SATA III SSD like Samsung EVO 840 or somehting else? Or any suggestion you would liek to add. Thanks in advance.

OK I have a problem with my Y410P hanging up on boot on the Lenovo screen forever. I have let it sit for over and hour and it never boots up. However, if I holf down the power button until it turns off it will move pass the Lenovo screen and then boots up, nut it takes forever. I have read just about everything I can on this problem! Started without the battery and just plugged in, same problem. I replaced the HHD last night with a Samsung EVO 860 SSD as I read it could be a HDD going bad. I disabled the Liteon 24gb SSD caching SSD, with no improvement. Downloaded the Lenovo diagonistic tool for windows and nothing checks out bad all the hardware in the laptop comes back as working. All the drivers are update.....etc...... Any ideas what could be the problem?

Try draining the residue power:
1. Disconnect the charger from the laptop. Also, disconnect the battery if your laptop has a replaceable battery. If not, you can bypass this step.2. Press and hold the Power Button for 30 seconds. 3. Plug the charger back in (and battery if you took that out) and power on the laptop.
Also try going into your BIOS Setup and defaulting the BIOS settings by pressing the F9 key then save your changes and exit the BIOS.
Let me know if that helps

Hello everyone. I'm having an issue with my IdeaPad Y410P where the graphics drivers for the system's GT750M will randomly crash. A search turned up this thread but it was of no help. Some details:- Problem began this May.- Problem does not occur after a specific period of time. It may happen after 5 minutes of gaming or an hour.- Problem occurs regardless of driver version, or whether I'm using Nvidia drivers or official Lenovo drivers.- Problem occurred in two Windows 8.1 installations and still occurs in Windows 10.- Problem occurs regardless of GPU temperature - I have monitored the system using GPU-Z and have not found any trends.- Problem occurs regardless of game played.- System usually recovers but game remains totally frozen after crash. At this point I'm starting to suspect that the graphics card itself is at fault. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

A:Y410P Nvidia graphics drivers crash when gaming

Hi there, I've been experiencing the same issue as yours since 1 year ago. It is most likely heat related (even though you said not), and also probably from the stupid NVIDIA GPU Boost (which automatically overlocks your VGA card to above the GPU frequency, hence adding more heat and instability) My problems occur in these games that I'm playing now:- League of Legends : suddenly froze mid game, had to Alt-Tab to get it back working, and had to limit the FPS to 60- World of Warships : sudden black screen. Unfixable. Has to restart the entire client.- Splinter Cell Blacklist : sudden drop in FPS when reaching certain temperature, and it won't go up anymore unless I restarted the entire system. Most of the time, it will just froze, need to restart the game AND system. I've noticed the problem will occur at around 68-70 degrees, so I tried repasting it, putting a cooling pad, and even installed IdeaFan (which increases the speed of your Y410p. It works pretty darn well. Just google it). It increases the stability by a bit, but still not enough. So I had to do something with the NVIDIA GPU Boost (which, for me, is actually the main culprit). Now the GT750M has a base GPU clock of 941Mhz. But when it is boosted, it jumps to 1035Mhz(!!!). That's actually quite too much for a mobile GPU. So initially, I tried to disable it by using the NVInspector. So the my maximum GPU clock will stay 941Mhz no matter what. Hey! It increases the stability!!! But still, I have se... Read more

A few weeks ago, this problem started.
Whenever I'm chatting on IMVU, or doing anything which requires lot of 3D, my screen flickers 2 or 3 times, I see everything freezed, the screen turns black, and then most of the time, after a while, it turns back and gives me a balloon message on the taskbar that the graphics' driver stopped responding and is restored.
It happens a lot.
And it gives on my nerves a lot, because when the screen returns, all 3D using programs are not responding anymore, untill I try to close it, and tell Windows Vista to wait untill it responds, then it takes about a minute or 2 to see motion again.
Sometimes the error doesn't happen at all. Sometimes it happens every 5 minutes. And I even had a blue screen once.
The only thing I was able to read was that the graphics' driver stopped responding and Windows was unable to restore it.
I tried reinstalling the driver.
But didn't help.
I own the newest version of the driver, so update is not possible.

How can I solve this?
Can anybody help me?

Hi ,

For a long time now I've been struggling with random freezes on my pc (see previous post: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...hics-card.html

These have continued and recently come to a head when trying to play Assassins Creed 2. It freezes the minute the game loads and I just get white noise from the speakers & have to hard reset the system.

I'm not getting any BSOD's - the whole system just hangs.

I'm just wondering whether (seeing as the ESTools came back clean) it's my graphics card that is causing the problem (and whether AC2 is triggering it?), but don't know how to check?

Could anyone give any advice at all?

I just started using my custom built pc started on December 26th 2015 (built in 2015 summer) because I finally got my monitor. After downloading my drivers for my video card (gigabyte amd r9 280x), everything worked fine. After downloading some games from steam, I played games from steam for like 2 days until my computer started to crash constantly when I turn on my computer (it does not crash when the computer starts but it crashes few minute later after I get into my computer). It crashes at random times, when I open files, device manager, browsers, games and even when I don't do anything on it. When I get really lucky, I could actually play games for a while but it always ends up with a crash.

Sometimes it's a BSOD but 80% of the times its vertical stripes, sometimes blue, black and white, and other different colours. Today it crashed over 10 times... and I gave up with my computer until I found out about this website.

I used whocrashed program to find out why it was crashing.

Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD. Be sure to ONLY install the display drivers using custom/advanced options.
Because Avast often causes instability, please uninstall Avast while troubleshooting and use Windows Defender as alternative.
I have nothing from the logs that indicate Avast being a cause or involved, but it is as a test

Well, I finally got my 7950GT to work but now it seems I have yet another issue that I need to kill. I first noticed this when I tried to apply a lighting effect to and image I was working on in Photoshop (CS3). The program crashed and I got that little box that allowed my to report and error to Microsoft or whatever. I figured it just to be a bug with the program; seeing it was new.

I then tried to run Counter-Strike Source to get the card warmed up. It ran fine for a couple of minutes but then the game crashed and I got another Error Report box stating that "hl.exe" (the game's executable) encountered a problem. This has never happened before so I wanted to try a different set of video drivers.

I downloaded ForceWare 163.71 off Guru3D.com and installed them. Afterwards, I checked everything, ran Disk Cleanup, and tried the whole Counter-Strike thing again. The game worked beautifully for a couple of hours but then crashed a second time. I took the side panel off of my system and felt the card - cold as ice with my Zalman VF-900cu cooler - weird.

Just for kicks, I launched BioShock to see what would happen. The menu loaded up nicely but then it crashed when I went to load up a saved game. I couldn't find any crash logs or anything so I'm not sure what is causing this to happen. My guess would be a driver issue but the 7950GT has a buggy reputation it seems. Any ideas? Help will be appreciated! Thanks!

I am running Windows XP Home Edition on an Advent 3207 machine with a Philips 107E monitor on a Nvidia GeForce 2 MX/MX400.
Problems: mouse will freeze on screen, screen will go black, screen will go black and then switch off, computer will not start at all, computer will start and get to desktop and then switch off, sometimes computer will beep three times and then not come on at all.
After the computer crashes Windows tells me it has recovered from a serious error. I send the error report and then Mircosoft tells me it cannot help with the problem because it is to do with Nvidia Graphics Card. I have been to the Nvida website and I have the latest driver installed: 56.72 WIN. The website offers no help to individual users. There are older updates on this website but I have no idea if any of these are needed. I have done things like change screen resolution etc. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem. Sometimes it can take me ten attempts to get the machine completely on.
Any help anyone can give me will be most gratefully received. I don't know if I have provided enough information here but if anyone can help and you need more details I will do my best to provide them.
Many thanks in anticipation of help.
