Sending email from MYDOMAIN from anywhere

Q: Sending email from MYDOMAIN from anywhere

I can't believe a can't find a solution to this anywhere.

I have my own domain name (MYDOMAIN.COM say). I know that I can forward emails sent to and address at the mydomain.com to any email address. However sending is my problem.

I can use my email client (Outlook 2003) to send using my ISP address, but in the sender field it will say @MYDOMAIN.COM and it works fine.

The problem is that if I am not at home and I want to use the MYDOMAIN.COM address I don't know how to. I can't use my ISP address as described because I need to be on my ISP.

I don't think this can be done using webmail, because that doesn't let you change the sender address (i.e. if you send an email from [email protected] then that will be the sender address and you can't set it to [email protected]).

So what I'm looking for is a POP3 account that I can use to send from any ISP and hence use outlook to change the sender address

Surely people are doing this somehow ???

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I use Outlook for email, from Office 2007 Professional because the accounting program and my Palm Pro PDA likes it.

Just recently I have had a couple of complaints that emails with a video attached I have forwarded have been delivered to the addressee in excess of 30 or 40 times.

The latest was last night when one of my sons said he had received it 104 times, and another friend in the USA 99 times, needless to say both aren't happy, the video was a wmv (3mb).

When my son called me a an hour or so later it was still in my outgoing mail box, obviously because it was still sending.

I have run full AV scan using Esset Nod32 which came up clean, so I’m at a loss where else the problem is or where/what to look for.

Thanks for reading…..Any clues/help would be appreciated.

I use AVAST anitvirus. I'm on a wireless laptop running xp home. Microsoft outlook express and hotmail and gmail are the email accounts that I use.

hello:

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.

I use:

-Windows 7 Pro
-64 Bit
-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier

Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Intermittently, Outlook 2007 will crash while sending an email and, needless to say, the email is not sent. However I wanted to know if there is a temp or backup copy of that mail anywhere. I've looked in drafts and it's not there.

I've sometimes typed a very long email and then lost the whole email when Outlook crashes so I just wanted to know if, like Word, there is a temp file that may be created.

Thanks.

Good morning, people,

One of my users here is having a wierd issue with her Outlook program...Every time she sends an email out, a .txt file of that email is sent as an attachment to that email.

So an email saying, "Greetings!", has the text file attached that says, "Greetings!".

Any ideas?

A:Outlook sending a copy of email w/email

Must be set to send in both plain text and HTML? But I thought in that case that it was done the other way around...

Turn off one or the other in the E-mail options, would be my guess.

Gmail is able see that message as spam and would have sent it to [spam] if I hadn't filtered-to-folder messages addressed to [email protected] Does anyone know how I might automatically detect such unwanted mail and not filter it to [support]?

Previously i was helped with code to send a static email through outlook express. Which work perfectly in my home network but when I took it to my work network I could not get the emails to send. Here is the code that worked at my network at home:
Code:
Public Sub Email()

Dim iMsg As Object
Dim iConf As Object
Dim WBname As String
Set iMsg = CreateObject("CDO.Message")
Set iConf = CreateObject("CDO.Configuration")

With iMsg
Set .Configuration = iConf
.To = "[email protected]"
.CC = ""
.BCC = ""
.From = """test"" <[email protected]>"
.Subject = "test"
.TextBody = "message"
.AddAttachment ""
.send
End With

End Sub
The only major difference that is obvious, is the email at the office requires SPA where as my home network does not. Any thoughts Would be great!

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the email address in the BCC section of Vista email and show only the names? In XP Windows Express, it only showed the names with a semi-colon between names. I've just gotten my new computer (Vista 64 bit) set up with email contacts. When I send BCCs, it lists the name and the email addresses which makes that section very long.

A:Sending BCC email

Hi, What i have done to aleviate this problem is when adding contacts to the address book, i have listed a display name. So when sending an email it will only display what you have listed. You can edit the contact in address book by selecting the person, right click, properties, it then will enable you to edit this.

Hope this helped

In Outlook Express, you can set it up to do that, but I don't think Outlook will let you. With O/E, there's a choice somewhere in the Options that says "Do not send mail immediately," but I found no such feature in Outlook.

I am having a problem sending email to an AOL address via outlook 2002. I can send to the address using my webmail portal and my yahoo, but not through my outlook. all other emails go out properly.

A:sending email to AOL

Hi, AOL email never did work with Outlook Express, I am not sure about Microsoft Outlook that comes with Office, if that is the Outlook you are meaning....

AOL users could not send mail nor get mail through OE, at least back a few years ago they could not, and if AOL was the service provider....there were some utilities that claimed to circumvent this, but I have not used them, and it seemed difficult to install and set these up, I did not bother with it at all.
(Things might be different with AOL mail these days.)
If you typed up a new mail in OE, and tried to send it, you would get an error message...of course, since there usually would have not been any account set up for POP3 mail in or out, no servers to connect to, and since AOL used different types of mail service, no way to get mail into OE.

Getting a Gmail account, free, might be a quicker solution, Gmail is simply great.

You should check out this: Description of Google's Gmail, how it works, privacy, etc...

http://www.technologyreview.com/read_article.aspx?id=16349

And also> , take a look at this, it may be the easiest way to do it>

http://support.email2pop.com/eMail2Pop_Introduction.html

You do still I think have to be invited to Gmail, so if you know someone who has it, they should have invitations to spare...if you want to try it, let us know, I have invitations.

Hi again chasf.
Most ISP limit the size of an attachment to 5mb but your link with your server will normally time out way before you reach this.

Hi there

what email client are you using on both systems, also remember network connections and are you running from SAME computer.

Linux networking in general is superior to Windows but if you are using a decent email client it shouldn't make a huge amount of difference.

Other factors -- what "pre-scans" etc are done by the email client (virus / attachment checking etc), are both set up to use imap / pop3 or going through an Ms Exchange server. Loads of things you need to compare when doing this type of analysis.

Any webmail based client is likely to be hideously slow though when compared with a proper email client on whatever system.

Cheers

This is just a way of preventing/blocking spam or other intrusive email by creating rules in your email client.Sometimes the rules can be pretty strict and they may not know just how strict they set them. They probably didnt do it on purpose.

Hi, and welcome to the board.

- First, set Windows 98 to display three-letter file extensions: Open My Computer, choose View, Folder Options and click the View tab. Deselect the checkmark next to "Hide file extensions for known filetypes." Click OK.

- Click Start, Run, type sendto, and click OK. Windows will open a window titled SendTo.

- Right-click in the SendTo window and select New, Text Document.
Rename the file to Mail Recipient.MAPIMail (copy this exactly).
Close the SendTo window.

Hi!

Last Saturday (January 21st, 2012), I was browsing through my hotmail when I opened an email (that I thought was from a friend) that ended up being some sort of malware/virus. It immediately sent out a SPAM email with a link to what looks like my entire contact list. I know this because I suddenly had over 70+ emails saying that were bouncing back. The emails sent were also found in the sent box. I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ran a full scan and didn't find anything. I'm not too knowledgeable about computers and I hoped that this might be a one time thing. But this happened again yesterday (Wednesday, Jan 25, 2012), and I hadn't even checked my email yet, when SPAM was sent out. With the advise from a friend that reported these SPAM back to me, I have since changed the password to my hotmail; I have also bought and ran North 360, which deleted some cookies, temporary files and cleaned up the registry. I could use any help with any advise on how I should proceed to fix this problem with my email and preventing it from happening in the future. I have posted my DDS log below; the GMER tool doesn't seem to be producing any output (although I think Norton might be blocking it when I checked my Norton security history logs).

Thank you for your help,
Terence.

Kia Ora Tatou,

We are experimenting on a network and trying to send an email
with telnet on an XP Pro computer.

We first type telnet mail.domain.co.nz 25
get a 220 xxxSPAM1.aspxh.co.nz ESMTP Mail Marshall message

we then type EHLO mail.domain.co.nz
and get a 250 message (xxxxSPAM1.domain.co.nz)
250-AUTH CRAM-MD5 PLAIN LOGIN
250-AUTH=CRAM-MD5 PLAIN LOGIN
250 SIZE

We then type: mail from:[email protected]

and are stuck on:
501 badly formatted MAIL FROM user - no "<" before I can even type the body of the message.
Do you suppose this is a MailMarshall problem ;o)?

How can we send a Telnet generated message with this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Everyday i import customers parcel tracking numbers into my database. Once they are in the database i write a query that pulls the the customers email address and the tracking number, that works fine but now i need to send them all an email with there tracking numbers.

The email is a standard to everyone the only difference is the tracking number and obviously the email address.

Take a look at the example database, i need to email everyone in the query.

Can anyone help me with the VBA?

Thank you.

Hi, Guys-- Problem: I do some writing, and I recently attached text pages to an email--tried it twice--and it could not be opened on the other end. The attachment was a modrate 412 kb and was sent okay. Both ends are PCs, though I type in WORKS and the recipient has WORD; would that create a problem? I use windows home XP. I should add that I'm an artist and frequently attach color images to emails and have no trouble with opening them at the other end. Help would be greatly appreciated.

For them to open a works document in word.
Save the file to disk then go to Word. Click File> Open on the toolbar and make sure Word is set to look for all files on the drop down for File types. Once you locate the file, double-click to open.

Hello to all,

I have a problem when I send documents via email. I have scanned some documents and saved as a word document and when I try to send the document through email it doesn't go through and appears with a message that the document is too big, however I have been able to send through other documents?
Would this be because the document has been scanned and how do I change the settings so that the email with attachments goes through.
Please advise as my outlook express has now frozen because I think of the document in my outbox....Please help me.

Hello,

Some time ago, I saw at Radio Shack a small computer that sends and receives email and has internet access, I believe, it was around $100.00. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was called and when I phoned Radio Shack, I was told about a palm pilot pc, but the one I saw isn't a handheld, it was about 9-10" in width, and 5-6" in height with a keyboard. Do you have any idea what this is called? I have a computer- phobic friend and want to introduce him to the world of computers by giving him a simpler, smaller and less costly pc that will allow him to send and receive email with perhaps some access to the internet.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

I would like to be able to send email to a list of contacts from an office computer.
I am currently using hotmail for this, but would like to know of it is possible to setup an email "server?" with an email address that I could create so I could use my company name instead of hotmail.com

And is there a way to send email to a group without everyone seeing all of the other email address's?

A:Sending email from office.

You need a domain name to allow your company name as the "@company.com" in the email address. They are not free, but not overly expensive.

To send emails to a group, you must use the BCC field in the emails, then each person only sees their own address. Use your own address in the From: field, you get one copy back as confirmation that it is sent.

OS=XP pro (sp2). I have recently installed MS Office pro 2003. Ever since installation, when I send an email, windows installer pops up trying to install MS Works 2000. It asks to put the Works 200 disc in. I do not have MS Works 2000, never did. If you click cancel on installer quick enough, it will close, otherwise it tries to install and then I get the error 1706 message. I am puzzled.

Hi got a new email address after setting up a Broadband account (not connected yet)

After putting in all the account details I was able to receive but not send, keep getting this msg .........
http://forums.techguy.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=36967&stc=1

Just wondered if anyone have any thoughts whilst I wait for the isp to get back ?

Thx

A:Problem sending with new email ?

As a general rule you can only send mails through an isp's mail server if you are connected to that ISP. At the moment you are still connecting though your old dialup isp but trying to send through your broadband mail server. This is known as mail relaying, and like the message says, it ain't allowed, otherwise spammers would have a field day.
As a work around, you can either just use the other email account and wait for the bb to get connected, or change the mail server in OE to your old isp. To do this go to Tools, accounts, and mail, highlight the new email account and click properties, click on servers, and change the outgoing mail to your current ISPs (you can find out what this is by looking in the settings for the other email account). Of couorse you will need to change it back once you are connecting to the bb
When you change to bb you will get a similar message when trying to send through your old email account, so you will need to change the outgoing mail server in the old account to your new ISPs.

Hope this helps

Can send & receive Email when I click on mail while on the internet.
When I'm in the My picture application and try to Email a picture directly from the application I get the following error message.
'The host "http" could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly, account :HTTP, server http Protocal SMTP, Port 25, Secure SSL No Socket Error 11001'
This problem happens with other applications too.
Don't know how to check what my outlook express settings or what my application settigs are either.
As you can readily see I'm not big into this stuff. Any help will be appreciated but answers have to be worded for a novice to understand.
Thanks

A:Sending Email From Ms Application

The application may have a assoication problem. Like in IE what you have to manually task it to use certain application to do certian jobs. I not familar with that application's setup. Check under options to see not only what client it uses but what the setting are. If you have OutLook but do not use it, it very well could pointed there instead of OutLook Express.
