I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I need help with my problem. So since last week my laptop suddenly shuts down while I am playing DOTA 2. It never happened before. So I searched in the forum for the solution and I run a hardware test using the lenovo solution center. By the time the graphic card is being tested, suddenly my laptop shuts down. It was by stress test of the AMD graphic cards. Can someone tell me what I should do next?

Hi guys! Last week i bought a Laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Y5070 with Intel® Core? i7-4710HQ 2.50GHz, Haswell?, 15,6" Full HD, 8GB, 1TB, nVidia GeForce GTX 860M 4GB, FreeDOS, Black. I installed all drivers from Lenovo but i have a problem with my graphic cards. The problem is that when i am trying to run a game like Far Cry, GTA, Sniper Elite or any other games with my dedicated video card (nVIDIA GTX 860M) my display turns into a black screen when i launch the game and nothing happens. But when i am launching the game with my integrated video card( Intel HD Graphics 4600) it launches and the game runs normally but i have very low graphic experience and i cant play the game with the integrated one. I want to say that my display runs on the intel integrated graphic card and i dont know how to switch it to nVIDIA. I think that this is the problem. My display is using intel graphic card and when i am trying to open a game with nVIDIA graphic card it turns into a black screen and nothing happens. When i use dxdiag it only shows me the Intel HD 4600 GRAPHIC card in the display section. Please tell me what can i do, this is very frustrating for me. Thank you and sorry for my bad english. I am waiting for an answer !

A:Graphic Card problem on Lenovo Y50-70

1) Which windows do you have installed?
2) Did you install the correct NVIDIA drivers for your system?
3) Can you go into Control Panel >> Device Manager and see what is displayed under Display category?

These laptops use NVIDIA optimus technology and the NVIDIA card only gets used when doing graphically intensive tasks such as gaming, it is not a problem.
I am pretty sure the problem is with your graphics drivers.
Also, check in your DXDIAG which DirectX version is installed.

Hello! Recently I bought a new Z51-70 laptop with 8GB RAM, intel core i7 and Radeon R9 m375. I have several problems with it. Firstly the device's performance highly drops when I disconnect the charger. I can see it in games. FPS drops from 40 to 15 :/. Secondly, I am disappointed with gaming performance and I think this could be caused by AMD graphic card issue. I have set "high performance" option in AMD Catalyst Control Centre and I have updated the drivers for both graphic cards but I'm still getting only 30 FPS in Xenoverse 2 on low graphic settings, even if the charger is plugged in. The same with Naruto Storm 4. AMD System Monitor says that the GPU usage is 0% but on the other hand GPU-z says its about 90%. I though that with this laptop configuration I would be able to get 60 fps in almost every game. Is Z51-70 gaming performance really so weak? Is there any way to fix it?Thanks in advance for the help .

Same here.Tried to use the win 8.1 driver (12.102.1.8000) but this one does not allow me to use my 8570m properly. So i had to change it back to 15.200.1062.1004, which is the one who labels my 8570m into a "r5 m200 / hd 8500M series".Since i use the retarded win10 driver i have massevily fps drops while playing video games. I am thinking about chaning back to win 7 again.Hope we will get some support soon!

Hello, My AMD Radeon R9 M375 is either not working or highly underperforming. Games like League of Legends run slow at a unstable FPS even at lower graphic settings. Graphically harder games (For example Maffia II) can't even run there is just constant lagg. Now I think the AMD is just not working at all because while playing these games only my CPU get's hot (really hot) because I believe the onboard Intel Graphic card is working. I have updated and installed all drivers, in my BIOS I have set my laptop to use both Graphic Cards. (I could only choose between either using only the Intel one or use both)I have tried disabling the Intel Graphic card, this only made things worse, and every single setting shows that the AMD card SHOULD be active. However, it seems that it isn't active. When I let my computer specs get pulled by Speccy, Speccy does recognize the AMD Graphic Card. Also the AMD driver software recognizes that there is a AMD inside my laptop. Is there anything I can try to do to make my AMD Graphic card work? I run Windows 10. Thanks,

I almost forgot, I do run my laptop on high performance with the power plugged in. So that isn't the issue either.

A:Lenovo G700 BlueTooth issue

Have you physically looked at the hardware (Wireless Card) and ran the units serial / model / part numbers thru Google to see if it does in fact have bluetooth?  I ask this as the listing you link to states the bluetooth module is "optional" rather than included as fact.

I would also recommend that you download your service / maintenance manual from the Lenovo Support tab of this website and look at the listing of parts for WiFi and bluetooth, which you can use as a "reference" tool to see exactly what part is in your notebook.

Once you have this information, post back and we will see what we can do to assist you with further troubleshooting.

Cheers.

Tried everything including a multitude of things from this and other forums and we cannot get the touchpad disabled.Reinstalled drivers (Synaptic/elan, energy management etc), hotkeys off/on in bios, and more. Even after reinstalling the synaptics driver we are unable to see any of the extra management items in the mouse areathatwould allow us to alter anything with the touchpad. I am even unable to disable the mouse on ps/2 port in device manager. All other function keys work except F6 (or Fn-F6) Does anyone have any suggestions what the issue could be or how I can get the touchpad disabled without physically unplugging the thing from the motherboard? Unit is less than 2 months old and this is really an irritation. Thanks,Wayne

My Lenovo G700, which is a week old, is saying that it is "plugged in, not charging". It was working fine until last night when I closed the lid to put it into sleep mode for the first time. I have checked that it is set to maximum battery life and it is still not working. It's stuck on 98%. I am severely disappointed that something like this has happened a week into having my first Lenovo. I hope someone can help me rectify this problem.

A:Lenovo G700 Plugged In Not Charging

hi Zadeth,

Welcome to the Forums.

Can you try to:
1. Turn off the machine and remove the AC adapter and battery
2. Hold the power button for 10secs then plug the AC adapter back in.
3. Turn the computer ON and when it gets to Windows, slide the battery back in place and observe the charge.

Alternatively, try to use the battery charge until it asks you to plug the AC adapter and observe if the charge goes all the way to 100%.

Let me know your findings

I was having issues with my Lenovo G700 laptop (it kept crashing every time I tried to shut it down). It was failing the Targeted Read Test and the SMART Short Self Test so I took it to a technician to get the internal hard drive changed since it was failing. I got my laptop back but now I am getting a warning for the SMART Short Self Test and a non-applicable label for the SMART Drive Self Test everytime (code is W1XDZDWLU-8VHH7E). I've had a G700 running Windows 8.1 for a few years now. Recently I've been experiencing a problem where I'll suddenly lose wireless connection and get the troubleshooting message that "the default gateway is not avaible". It's a very frequent problem (according to my troubleshooting log it's happened over 200 times this month) and I'd really, really like to be rid of it. I'm using a Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter. I saw some people with similar issues, and I've already changed the power setting so the computer can't turn off the driver to save power. It didn't help. I saw some suggestions to lower the adapter's "roaming aggeression" under the advanced tab, but I don't have that option (I do have "Roaming tendency" which I set to moderate but again, it didn't seem to help). The only thing I can think to do next might be to reinstall the whole driver, but I wanted to see what the nice folks here suggested. So yeah. Lenovo G700. Broadcom 802.11n. Windows 8.1. Randomly losing wireless connection because the default network gateway is unavalible. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone,I'm having quite a problem with my notebook: since a month or so, each time I try to use an application that relies a bit more heavily on the graphic card (like games or stuff like that) the Pc, freeze and go in to BSOD. The problem seems related to the Nvidia Geforce GTX 860M, since each time I disable the device the issues subside. They guys that look this up for me let me know that most of the time, this kind of trouble is related to an hardware problem, and since the graphic card is fully integrated in the motherboard, most probably, that would need to be replaced. I'm trying to figure it out which type of motherboard, I would need to buy, where should I get, and how much that could cost me (at least to try to decide if the cost is woth it, or it would be better to buy a new machine altogether. The product specs are:Lenovo Y50-70 Model Name 20378MTM 59426156Sadly OUT of warrantyPlease let me know if anyone can help meThanks for you attention and timeBest regards

i had bought the lenovo z-51 70 about a year ago. here are the specs:5th gen i7 5500u graphics card, amd radeon r9 m375 4gb graphics card, 8 gb ram. 1 tb storage. when i play games, the laptop overheats as soon as the game starts. i used both HW monitor and speed fan to monitor the temperature.the HW monitor displayed the following temperatures ( all temperatures in celcius) when gaming cpu temperature : 80 degrees to 90 degrees.graphics card temperatures: 80 degree to max of 97 degree sometimes reaching 100 degreesoverall laptop temperatures: around 35 degress. ( something called z51-00 and z51-01  temperature sensors) the speed fan displayed the following temp under the same conditions:cpu temp : 65 to 70 degreesgraphics card temps: 80 degree to max of 97 degree . all my drivers, bios, software are up to date.(last updated on 3 spetember 2016) should i stop using the laptop to play games when such heating occurs.? will it burn my cpu if i continue to play games? is it safe? the fans are running at max speed i presume because i can feel hot air coming from the exhaust slits. but i cant find a software to measure the rpm of the fan. speed fan does not detect the fan in the system nor its speed. what should i do to prevent this over heating from occuring? should i buy cooling pads or should i add more ram or should i stop playing using graphic intensive applications all together?

I'm trying to get autocad to recognize the graphics card of my new laptop. autocad tests numerous cards for compatibility, and on their website, my card is listed as a certified recommended card. But when I run the autocad tunelog, it lists:
3D Device
---------
Name :
Manufacturer :
Chip set :
Memory :
Driver :
Your machine contains a 3D Device that is not certified.

The driver that autocad tested the card with is different than my laptop’s graphics card drive. Perhaps that's the problem. The comments section for my particular card says: “This driver is supported on HP Compaq 8510w laptops and can be downloaded from here.” Now I wonder if I should actually install this driver... if that driver would work with a different laptop? I'm afraid that might be a problem because (from what I understand), it is only recommended to use driver updates provided by the laptop maker. Does installing a different graphic card driver void warranties on laptops? is it reversible by a restore point?

My notebook specs:
Lenovo T61p
Windows XP professional
Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz
2GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive space
Nvidia Quadro FX 570M

Hi!I have problem with lenovo g700. A few months ago my display has broken, it turned out when i push harder in keyboard section where are keys like I, O, P, J, K, L my display lights up. So I thought that it must have been tape from display backlight. When i unscreawed keyboard screws and unattached a keyboard then everything seemd to be working. But unfortunately it didn't. Laptop does not turn on. When I click power button it seems like it has power because power diode is on, but can't turn on. I checked all tapes and and power button is working because when I hold it for a few seconds the power diode turns off. Also, when i plug power supply it turns power diode. I tried also every magic trick with unhooking ram and turning without power supply and battery. Maybe I damaged something while repairing but it seems like on motherboard there is no scrathes at all, thin layer of dust ( I think i could see scratches from screwdriver ). What should I do? Thank you in advance.

Hello! In 2013 I bought Lenovo C340 All-in-One with Windows 8 activated, CPU Intel Celeron. Because Win 8 was very buggy I upgraded to Win 8.1 in January 2014. After the upgrade everything was fine only the CPU usage started to be very high during browsing images-heavy sites and sites with Flash Player/animations/streaming videos and during downloading. I tried to update graphic card driver but the system said I have the latest one I need. Probably it was customized from Lenovo for this specific machine and Win 8? This June I upgraded to Win 10 hoping the high CPU usage will be resolved. But no, it is even worse because now few times PC blocked from the high CPU and should be restarted. I changed anti-vir from AVG Free to Avira Free but this was very small help. I had this question posted in Microsoft Answers, Adobe Help Forums, Ten Forums etc. I was advised to ask my manufacturer too as being unable to update the driver might be because manufacturer's changes. I suppose updating graphic driver would resolve the high CPU usage as CPU usage was alright in the original Win 8. I'm desperated as I'm online almost 24/7. I don't play online games but use some online art/drawing tools with Flash Player and also I browse many images and having my CPU frying is terrible. Thank you in advance!

Can't login into my account so repost my question: In 2013 I bought Lenovo C340 All-in-One with Windows 8 activated, CPU Intel Celeron. Because Win 8 was very buggy I upgraded to Win 8.1 in January 2014. After the upgrade everything was fine only the CPU usage started to be very high during browsing images-heavy sites and sites with Flash Player/animations/streaming videos and during downloading. I tried to update graphic card driver but the system said and still says I have the latest one I need. Probably it was customized from Lenovo for this specific machine and Win 8? This June I upgraded to Win 10 hoping the high CPU usage will be resolved. But no, it is even worse. I changed anti-vir from AVG Free to Avira Free but this was very small help. I had this question posted in Microsoft Answers, Adobe Help Forums, Ten Forums etc. I installed Intel AppUp(SM) center and it detected outdates and updated the chipset but the update was refused by the system and also typing became slow and messy. I tried again with the same result. In Intel's site I read I that if I bought whole system I should ask my manufacturer as being unable to update the driver might be because manufacturer's changes. I suppose updating graphic driver would resolve the high CPU usage as CPU usage was alright in the original Win 8. I'm desperated as I'm online almost 24/7. Hi everybody! I have a lenovo h50-55 amd A10 and last night I upgrade it with a corsair CX650M power supply and a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphic card! I bought the power supply 80$ after taxis from Best Buy and my graphic card 280$ after taxis from Amazon. The truth is that wasn?t sure if all that is going to work together and I mean with my cpu and motherboard and I couldn?t find any information on internet to make sure that card is compatible with my system so that means I literally took a risk to invest to upgrade my pc and that?s the reason I?m writing that post! The installation was easy and the results excellent! Everything fit in the case The only i was needed is a 24 to 14 pin adapter to connect my motherboard! Everything works perfect and I suggest to everyone who have this PC and want a good upgrade to do it! I hope with this post to help whoever have doubts to upgrade this model! Thanks and good luck!

The charger supplied with my Lenovo G700 recently stopped working completely (it was making a weird bleeping sound when plugged in as well), so I purchased another genuine Lenovo charger identical to the first. However, my laptop doesn't recognise that this is an authentic Lenovo product and keeps telling me that I'm using an 'unauthorised battery', so my laptop can only be plugged in, and not charging. So far I've been unable to find a suitable fix on google. I'm reluctant to buy another charger as they are so expensive, in case I encounter the same problem again.  Any suggesions/experiences would be very helpful! Thank you

A:Genuine Lenovo charger 'unauthorised', G700 not charging

If the original charger made strange noises, you might have damaged the power circuitry on the motherboard

Hello All  I am trying to find out if there is any wireless AC cards that will work with Lenovo G700 series Labtop. I am not sure where to look or how to find out the current card manufature ID or if there is a list of approved wireless AC cards Lenovo knows will work with this machine. If any one has any idea please let me know so I can upgrade. I love this machine and would like to get better wireless speeds.

A:Compatible wireless AC cards for Lenovo G700 labto...

Hello and welcome,

The whitelisted (model + Lenovo FRU required) WLAN cards are shown on page 72 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual - Lenovo G700, G710

I don't see any AC cards listed.

Your best bet may be a USB wireless AC adapter.  Not ideal perhaps, but inexpensive.

Z.

Hi guys, I'm dealing with a problem which is currently (but I sincerely hope, not permanently) rendering my G700 useless. When I attempt to boot my PC it freezes at the Lenovo splash screen. I've waited ample amount of time but nothing appears to happen. One time I waited and managed to get into a Windows troubleshooting menu where I attempted to wipe the PC and start fresh, but this also froze at the lenovo screen soon after. Pressing the Novo button gives me 4 options but it appears to freeze, not allowing me to scroll through the options, or press enter. If I remove the harddrive it tells me to insert media and press OK, but once again, it appears to freeze as pressing enter doesn't do anything. I've tried booting from a USB stick but can't seem to get into any setting which would allow me to do this.I Removed DVD drive as I read on this forum that it was an issue with different Lenovo laptops, and since I don't use it anyway, decided to give it a go, but unfortunately nothing changed :-( If any kind soul could advise me with what I could possibly do, it be would be greatly appreciated as I'm dreading the thought of having to purchase a new laptop. Thanks :-)
