If you purchased the system with an onsite warranty (extra cost), yes - it can be transferred. If you did not, you must upgrade to an onsite warranty at extra cost before it can be transferred.

Hi, I recently bought Dell Inspiron 15 3567 model in Dubai after getting the confirmation from Dell representative that International Warranty is available in India. I was informed to register online by changing the service tag to India.

First -- there are no "Dell representatives" in Dubai -- all systems there are sold through resellers, not Dell.
1. Have purchased (or now purchase) an onsite service plan - from Dell. Basic depot warranty (and any Dubai reseller warranty) will not transfer.
2. The system model you purchased MUST be sold in India.
3. You must transfer your ownership of the system with Dell:
In all likelihood you'll need to start with the reseller from whom you purchased.

I have an HP Pavilion Notebook, well out of warranty. I keep getting the pop-up to buy an extended warranty (which I do not want), and when I click 'next', it refers to inability of IE to respond. ll be in the market for a new laptop soon with my tax return and am wondering if those here think the extra extended warranties are worth it? Most laptops come with a 12 month warranty. The place I am looking at offer a 1 year extension beyond that for $169 and a two year extension for $179 (of course at those prices if I got one at all it would be the two year). They also offer a 2 year accidental damage policy as well but I won't be getting that as my renter's insurance covers that. But what do people here think? Is it worth it? I currently have a Toshiba laptop that has worked fine for 2 and a half years. If it were a desktop, I wouldn't even be considering it. I prefer to build my own of those anyway and also prefer to fix my own problems. For reference, i am looking for something with a dual core processor, 1 to 2 gigs of RAM, a DVD burner and a dedicated video card.

In Jan. 2016 I had an HP Pavilion All-in-One 27 -n110 (Touch), Ser. #[personal information removed], and I purchased the xtended warranty in May 2016, , Order #[personal information removed]. fpr $129.99 and tax of $7.80, for a total of $$137.79. Due to problems with the touchscreen and numerous contacts with HP, they finally sent me the HP Envy All-in-One PC 27-n014, Ser. #[personal information removed].
See Case #[personal information removed]. Andy H of HP Support called me to let me know that HP was sending my the new Envy so He could close the Case #. I explained about purchasing the extended warranty, and said that he should transfer the warranty to the new desktop (Envy) and I would close the case. He said the warranty would be transferred. I received the Envy on 6/29/16. I keep getting pop-ups advising me that my warranty period expires on 6/29/17. and I should purchase an extended warranty. I checked with online HP support today, and there has been no transfer of the warranty. Please advise.

HP Executive Customer Relations assigned a Case Manager to assist me.But the thing is, after a month, the case manager close the case without solving my problem. $10 for ext. staples warranty? - worth it or bologne?
Bought a $99 printer on sale for $89 4 days ago. Got the $10 ext. 2yr warranty. But the staples guy kinda lied to me, and now Im thinking of returning the warranty and getting my $10 back. He said the warranty would be with staples from day 1 to day 700 of the end of 2yrs. But I called another location, and I was told, how it is, is technically its a 1yr warranty. The first year your warranty is through the manufacturer- if anything goes wrong, you have to send it out. Now, staples warranty kicks in after 1 yr for 1 yr, if anything goes wrong, bring it back to them and get a brand new one off their shelf or if they dont carry that model (which they most likely wont knowing how fast printers come out), they give you full in store credit of what you paid for + the ext warranty towards new printer. But you can only get that credit if they dont carry that model anymore.
So is this worth it? This sucks, printer breaks within 1 yr, I have to ship it out. Or I have it sit here till the 1yr is up, take it back to staples and get new one. Heres another option - I could keep the warranty, use the printer for 1yr, take it back to staples, use the credit towards a colour laser (knowing they will be a whole lot cheaper then), and 1yr, no way anyone will still sell this printer, considering its already been out 3 months.But how I see it is, whats the point having an ext. warranty if it doesnt kick in till 1yr after? Hi, I just got out of an online chat with an HP technician who informed me, after helping me through troubleshooting for what was a faulty battery, that the Extended Warranty Care Pack taken out for the laptop did not cover the battery. Their reasoning was that "The unit is covered under warranty but the warranty for the batteri is expired." If this is true then when I look up the laptop's current warranty status on HP's website, what it tells me is a bit misleading: "Active: Covered under Extended warranty, 42 months remaining" (for reference HP Support Assistant tells me the warranty for the laptop is a HP Care Pack and lasts until 2020). When I hover over the question mark icon on HP's website next to the warranty status, the icon brings up a box which states: "Warranty Status Types ?Manufacturer?s warranty? refers to the warranty included with the product upon first purchase. ?Extended warranty? refers to any extra warranty coverage or product protection plan, purchased for an additional cost, that extends or supplements the manufacturer?s warranty." So then I'm curious about a few things. 1. How can I see what exactly this Extended Warranty covers? In HP Support Assistant it justs lists HP Care Pack and the date it is set to expire. 2. My laptop will not power on. After putting in a ticket and being unable to ship out my laptop in time, I extended my warranty so that I could have on site repair. Since then I have put in a ticket on Jan 12th when I was told by support staff over the phone that I would be called within 2 business days. I did not receive a call. I then called again on Jan 20th to report that I was never contacted, the support staff then put in another ticket for me and said that I would be called in 2 business days. I was never contacted either through email or by phone. Today I recieved an email stating that my repair was completed. How could my repair be complete if nobody ever came to pick up my laptop? I am a student, I need to have a working computer and I do not have money to be buying a new laptop every year because companies make faulty products.
