I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A:Lenovo G580 Bletooth not listed in Device Manager after Windows 10 Upgrade

Dear nedret,
Welcome in lenovo community,
Based on official list of Lenovo systems supported for Windows 10, the G580 is not listed which means most things may work, but we may not have drivers and support for all features and will be limited in our ability to provide Windows 10 support.
In many cases, the Windows 8/8.1 drivers will work.
Also try to Run windows update, sometimes it helps,
Click Start Menu >> Settings >> Update and Security >> Windows Update >> Check for Updates >> Install Updates.
If it does not help, My advice to you, is to go back to the previous windows (Before windows 10 Upgrade) to have all the functions of the laptop working.

The Slimtype DVD drive is not working on my Dell inspiron E1405 laptop. When I opened up the device manager there's a yellow exclamation point. I installed CDgone and then it worked again, but I ended up messing up the registry. Now the volume icon doesn't show in my taskbar. iTunes also got messed up telling me to reinstall. So rather than go any further, I did a restore point so now the disk drive isn't working again. Not sure where to go from here.

Hi,I own an Elitebook 850 G3 with 64 bit windows and touch screen. I recently purchased and refurbished with new SSD drive and upgraded the RAM. The touch screen was working about a week ago and I recently noticed that the touch screen no longer works and the device manager does not show "hid-compliant touch screen" device. Furthermore, scanning for recent hardware changes has no effect and my "touch and pen settings" show no device available.  I've been trying to see if there is a driver fix or if this is because of the Windows 10 update that installed itself about 3 days ago. To make it more interesting, I upgraded the hard drive last week, so either one could be the cause. Any thoughts? Help! Thanks in advance

A:Latitude E6400 - PCI Simple Communications Controller - Missing driver in Device Manager

Since you are looking for a hardware driver for a Dell laptop, the most logical place to go is to the Dell website and download the drivers:

You will find the drivers for the PCI Simple Communications Controller undert the Communications tab!
Dell also has forums for their hardware:
http://en.community.dell.com/ which is the proper place to go for support of Dell hardware. Please remember to click ?Mark as Answer? on the post that helps you, and to click ?Unmark as Answer? if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I recent upgraded an IBM thinkpad to windows XP service pack 2. Soon after upgrading I noticed some things had stopped working (wireless card, for instance). When I checked on the device manager, I found that nothing was listed. The device manager was completely blank. This sounded exactly like this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893249

So, I contact microsoft, and I get the hotfix listed. Running the hotfix autoextracts a file called fixccs.exe and another fixccs.pdb. I ran fixccs.exe but it doesn't appear to do anything, and I still have no device manager. Anyone encountered this problem/know what to do with the files provided?

Hi! The Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2017/2:nd edition has an OLED panel option. Lenovo's download page for this model, https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/hk/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-... , offers a driver "Intel "OLED Panel Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Type: 20JD, 20JE, 20JF, 20JG)",, 2017/10/02, in the Display and Video Graphics section. In Windows, the device appears as "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver" under "System devices" in the Windows Device Manager. Normally I'd think all needed to drive a display is the graphics driver (e.g. "Intel(R) HD Graphics 620" under "Display adapters") and a monitor file for resolution, frequency and color calibration ("OLED Display 2560x1440" under "Monitors"). So, why do we need an "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver", and what does this device actually do?

My Windows 7 64 bit desktop is several years old. The other day, without warning, both my CD drives stopped working. I discovered the error above (in title). First, I simply attempted to have Windows update the drivers (both from the PC and from the Web).
The response I received was that the drivers were up to date. Next, I did a system restore to a point when I knew the CD drives were working - no help. I next attempted to repair Windows from the install CD using a portable CD drive. When I plugged it into
the USB port(s) I got the same error message. I also did an uninstall and let the system search and reinstall - no help. I've been searching for the correct drivers but, so far have been unsuccessful. The drive description is "Optiarc DVD RW AD-7280S
ATA Device". Type = DVD/CD-ROM drives; Manufacturer = Standard CD-ROM drives; Location 1 (Channel 1, Target 1, Lun0). Driver provider - Microsoft; Driver Date - 6/21/2006; Driver version - 6.1.7601.17514; Digital Signer - Microsoft Windows. File version
- 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) The driver location is (of course) C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\cdrom.sys
Any suggestions will be most welcome. Thanks in advance

Hi Amitkd44,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Try to check first if the DVD drive show up in the BIOS (FN + F2 on restart or from off status using the Novo button).
This would allow you if the physical dvd device is mechanically detected by the motherboard and is not related to any drivers or Operating System.
Initial tab should show the same drive listed along with the harddrive within the BIOS screen.
If so, then reseating the drive (removing and placing it back making sure contact points are secured.
Here is the hardware manual that can help as a guide.
Update us soon as convenient.

I've never had this problem until my computer became somewhat unstable, and I replaced the memory yesterday. When running a mem/test the results showed bad memory so I replaced the 2 gig stick of ram, and after doing so the computer no longer recognizes the Olympus camera I use. It will make the connection sound of new hardware found, but does not show up in the device manager. Before it has always opened up immediately a program on the screen allowing me to perform whatever actions needed to manage the photos, it now opens a screen with one folder showing and nothing I can find of relevance inside. I am running Window XP Pro,
with Firefox. Any help I can get with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Inspiron 1420 with built-in bluetooth.

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and the bluetooth does not work anymore.

1 Bluetooth does not appear in device manager or control panel anymore
2 The 'Radio On-Off' switch on the front of the laptop no longer controls the bluetooth
--a. Dell Quickset switch options does not let me select Bluetooth
3 The WIDCOMM bluetooth software does not even open on my computer anymore
--a. I uninstalled WIDCOMM in order to install the latest driver from Dell
--b. I cannot finish installing this driver (R140135) because it tells me to turn on the blutooth hardware using Fn+F2 (my keyboard does not have this shortcut)
4 I have tried using the BTW bluetooth patch from Dell but it does not work (R159805)

Essentially, my computer does not seem to know that there is bluetooth hardware built into it. The 'bluetooth sensor light' (next to the power and wifi lights) has remained off since I installed windows 7.

I would appreciate if someone could provide a solution to my problem. Please let me know if you require more information on my laptop

Do it over. Do a clean install. I know you dont want to install programs, again, etc. But it is for the best. That is the only way to fix this and everything else that will happen.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 910 VF on Windows 10. A few days ago my camera stopped working. The F8 key would show a camera picture with a slash through it. I looked at many forums and have tried:

- checking camera privacy settings
- updating the driver
- uninstalling / reinstalling the Lenovo EasyCamera in Device Manager- this is when things went bad
- Imaging Devices disappeared from the device manager
- getting new drivers from the website - still can't recognize camera
- I tried creating a registry key "EnableFrameServerMode" in the Windows Media Foundation > Platform registry
- I tried system restore which failed so
- then I reset my PC and had to do a clean install of windows 10

I feel like I have tried everything but I am pretty sure it is not a hardware failure especially since the easycamera was showing up in the registry and the problems exacerbated after trying to uninstall/reinstall.

The laptop is just over the one year warranty but I would be very appreciative of any help.
If anyone is out there who can advise please let me know. I've updated all the windows updates and everything.

Thank you.

I have been trying to install Windows 7 x64 for many days now always with the same problems. I have tried v7000, v7022, & v7048.

ok so I boot from the dvd and I get the typical windows driver loading and get to the first blue screen to install Windows 7. I click install and it says starting install then it stops and says cd/dvd device driver missing... This comes along with the brouse box to locate the driver. I have looked everywhere and do not see any kind of driver available for my DVD drive.

Here is my new build

Hello. I installed a few recommended Windows Updates on 1/15. After the update, install, and computer refresh though, my audio stopped working. I went to Control Panel and tried opening up my audio driver, HT Omega Claro Halo, but the driver wouldn't open. I then checked my Device Manager and found the oh so fun error code 52 associated with my Claro Halo audio driver. You know, the one that says,

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

I then rolled back my C drive to a previous restore point I made a few days ago and it was working again which means that something in the update was messing up my audio driver. I re-downloaded the Updates and uninstalled the drivers. I downloaded the latest driver but that didn't work and I am still getting the same error code 52. I know the F8 trick on start-up that disregards the digital signature of drivers but that is only a temporary fix and definitely NOT what I am looking for. I'm looking for a permanent solution. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out here. Thanks.

Have you contacted HT Omega about the problem? I used to have an HT Omega "Striker 7.1" sound card and ran into a couple of problems that they straightened out for me (even sent me a special driver to fix a problem).

My first post! I've been looking for a forum like this for a while and will endeavour to put in more tech support that I get out of it!

And on to the issue. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate with all the Windows updates. I have a Sapphire Radeon 4890 graphics card. I installed a new game - Global Agenda - which is having a bug in the menu windows. After a little research, this is apparently because I'm running an old Catalyst driver, 8.6.

I'm trying to update to 10.1. The installer is running fine, but I DON'T get prompted to restart afterwards. Device manager still says 8.6 is installed. The log says 10.1 installed successfully. I've tried manually uninstalling the current driver, restarting, running 10.1 exe, restarting (despite not getting prompted to). But still 8.6 remains in device manager and CCC and so does my issue with the game.

I've set the drivers to NOT install automatically with new hardware. I've tried uninstalling the device then reinstalling, but then the driver just wouldn't run. In the end I had to choose 'update drive' option in device manager and it installed 8.6 again.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get my driver update done?

Many thanks in advance.

A:Windows 7 device manager won't comfirm successful install of ATI Catalyst 10.1 driver

Uninstall the 8.6.

Delete the drivers for ATI from device manager

Reboot, install the latest.

If that fails, try this:

During the Win7-64 start up the Integrated Camera Preview Manager App some time occurs in the task panel in non-responding state. App window name is "Main (Not Responding)". Integrated Camera working properly but I need to terminate App by using Task Manager to disappear it. I have found the similar issue with W540 reported on this forum but without the solution. Does any one knows how to fix this issue? Regards,Oleg.

So, here I go again with another issue with Widows 10.... Windows 10 upgrade installed fine on this now vintage laptop using an ISO image. It also worked perfectly fine in Vista and Windows 7. Maybe not a big mistake, but with some issues. Initially, the driver for the NVIDIA graphics card could not be found. Solved that by using the Vista driver, it worked fairly well. Next, after a Windows 10 update the DVD/CD drive disappeared. Not so fast to solve this time. I restored Windows 10 using the USB solution and the drive reappeared. That was fine until the very first update. Gone again. This time, I attempted to restore Windows 10 using the same USB recovery drive as before and now the Hard Drive can't be found.  Checked the BIOS and the drive is there listed.  I finally received a message that the driver is missing. I went to the support page for this notebook but don't see the driver for the HD listed there for download. Also note that the original restore DVD made from the original restore partition (Vista based) loads original restore files but when the Recovery Manager presents Error Code 0x4001100200000100A.  Says to contact HP Support.  This is perhaps related to repartitioning the hard drive when Windows 7 was installed? Not sure how to circumvent if this is the case. And, attempting to reinstall Windows 7 from a full install (not an upgrade) DVD was also unsuccessful receiving a ... Read more

A:Device driver missing for HD when windows 10 reinstalled.

It's an AMD processor and an nVidia chipset. You need the nForce driver for the 630 chipset and find the storage controller part of it after you extract it and use that for the storage controller driver.  See if this helps: http://ivanrf.com/en/nvidia-compatibility-issue-with-windows-10/
