Can anyone decode this?

Q: Can anyone decode this?

Can someone take a look at these files tell me if theres anything pointing at something specific, I am getting a generic BSoD that I saw in the past with a bad HD and now after months with a new HD and other new components I am getting it again. It seems to show up when playing games as I am sitting on the machine browsing and its fine.

This is my baby and I really really don't like it when shes not performing well. No new hardware at all in months.

Thanks for anyone who might help.

Preferred Solution: Can anyone decode this?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Can anyone decode this?

Hello and welcome to SF.

Probable cause:

Code:
fffff880`040aa000 fffff880`040b2000 ASACPI ASACPI.sys Mon Oct 30 22:09:12 2006 (4546B048)
I'm not sure why these are popping up again; they stopped for a few months. Uninstall any ASUS software that is currently installed (ASUS Probe, AI Suite, etc.). If there is none, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, then find and rename ASACPI.SYS to ASACPI.BAK and restart the computer. Let us know if BSOD's persist.

For all you AMD'ers like me, trying to actually decode your CPU is, or should I say was, a headache. Now it's easy with this attached AMD site page key. All you ever wanted to know about your processor is stamped right on your Athlon. Write down the OPN (ordering part number) and go here:

http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/Processor_Recognition_Rev03_ENG.pdf
Just thought you might be interested. I've also heard you might be surprised at what you thought you bought might not neccessarily be the case.

EDIT: I should mention that's a PDF page.

Hello
My computer has been infected few days ago and here is what I am experiencing:
1. Malwarebytes will not run
2. Hijackthis will run once and shut down after about 5 seconds. The only way to get it running again is by reinstalling it (and it shuts down again)
3. Safe mode doesn?t help with any problems
4. IE page redirection
5. tapi.ofn DLL error happens twice during load
6. When running Windows registry repair 2.0 I can scan all of the registries except ?Windows Services? as soon as software starts scanning windows services it closes and has to be reinstalled in order to run.
7. Trying to run hijackthis, malwarebytes, windows registry repair or any other repair type software results in an error ??.you may not have appropriate permissions?
8. On one of your logs was advised to run win32diag and post txt file. (please find below)

Please advice on what to do next. Thank you.

RELEVANCY SCORE 42.8

Hi,

I need to stream audio and/or video to a PDA device. There is a trick here which is:
The PDA must receive the stream from a multicast address. For this I have implemented a Bridge application which joins the multicast group on behalf of the PDA and receives the Multicast RTP packets (which are sent from JMStudio) and Unicasts them to the PDA.(HP iPAQ) I had no problem implementing this. The streaming is done using JMStudio player which encodes the streaming audio data into a number of encodings (DVI/RTP in my case). I choose DVI/RTP and stream a .wav audio file.
Now I have to accept the packets and play the stream on the PDA.
The j2me application receives all the RTP packets successfully and I can extract usefull information from the packets such as: Timestamp, sequence number, payload type. The payload type is 5 which means it is a DVI4 encoding.
I use the following method to decode the samples:

public int decode(Object state, byte[] input, int inp, int len, short[] output, int outp) {
int sign;
int delta;
int vpdiff;
//int valprev = audio.Convert.byte2short(input, inp);

//int index = input[inp + 2];
int valprev=0,index=0;
int inputbuffer = 0;
int bufferstep = 0;
////////////////////////////////////
valprev = input[0] <<8;
valprev |= input[1] &0xff;

index = input[2] &0xff;

I use the following method to decode the samples:

public int decode(Object state, byte[] input, int inp, int len, short[] output, int outp) {
int sign;
int delta;
int vpdiff;
//int valprev = audio.Convert.byte2short(input, inp);

//int index = input[inp + 2];
int valprev=0,index=0;
int inputbuffer = 0;
int bufferstep = 0;
////////////////////////////////////
valprev = input[0] <<8;
valprev |= input[1] &0xff;

index = input[2] &0xff;
//////////////////////////////////////////

if ( index < 0 ) index = 0;
else if ( index > 88 ) index = 88;

int step = stepsizeTable[index];

inp += 4;

len = (len - 4) * 2;

Hi

Here is my situation. I want to install a Firewire IEEE1394 card so I can upload video from a digital camcorder in order to provide edit functionality. Problem is I have no more PCI slots available. So, I was thinking if I remove the decoder card for the DVD drive and install decoding s/w I would generate an open PCI slot for a Firewire card. I could play DVDs with s/w decoding instead of h/w decoding.

Will this work? I have a Micron 550MHz box w/ 256MB ram 20 GB hd running Win 98SE.

Thanks,
George

Our church school bought a used MicronPc TransPort ZX with XP Pro and 256MB Ram and PIII.
When we try to play a DVD a message comes up that says, "Windows Media Player cannot play because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."
Can someone tell me what this means and how to get a decoder? I haven't a clue (pretty normal for me )
Thank you so much for your time and may God bless,

There are a lot of things that can go wrong with character encoding. Could you possibly post a small bit of the text so someone here might have a look at it and figure out what might be the problem?

What program/service is the sender using to send the e-mail? What version of Outlook do you have?

Hi. . .

The only new dimension that you have entered here is to join the ranks of millions suffering from the infamous Blue Screen of Death.

The STOP error code - bugcheck - per your screenshot is -
0x00000050 (fffffa8007945000, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff97fff17f664, 0x0000000000000000), with no probable cause listed.

A bugcgeck of 0x50 = that invalid system memory has been referenced.

I suggest that you immediately perform a system restore choosing a restore point prior to the installation of the program in question.

Good Luck to you.

A:Please decode my error message

The error is often caused by a program that's been badly written. If it appears during Windows startup, something that starts with Windows (that runs in the background) is either badly written or not compatible with your Windows version.

Go through your startup items and disable one at a time, then restart each time you've disabled one. When the error no longer appears, the last startup item you disabled is the one that's triggering the error.

(I really apologize for my english) Hi, new to this forum, I bought a DELL Laptop less than 2 months ago and problems were really quick to come.. Lots of BSOD's. Sometimes it can work just fine more than a week straight 24/7 no matter what I do, play gta 4, battlefield 3 (and of course I do it cuz I bought that kind of laptop for gaming and working both). Although sometimes bsod's come couple times a day and not for doing different stuff.. so what I'm trying to say is that bsod's doesn't appear to be depended on what I do.. or something like that.. Anyways yes the warranty should be the solution but I hoped that maybe I have done something wrong myself with drivers or software etc. And also I don't like that warranty will take ages as long as I live in Estonia and they won't do nothing here but send it to the most furthest place known to man and then after few months or so I will maybe hear from then again.

I hoped that maybe some of you can decode these minidump files so I uploaded last 3 ones that it recorded. I would really appreciate that.

Can anyone point me to a reference for decoding the "toolbars", "settings", "settings word mail", and "toolbars word mail" entries in Vista 64 Registry Entry HKCU\software\microsoft\office\12\word\data

Background and Reason For Asking: For several weeks, when closing Word 2007 SP2 have been getting message "change has been made that affects the global template normal do you want to save these changes". Since I haven't done anything that should have changed it, I don't save. Googling shows that several others have a similar problem. KB291352 and other reports have information on cause and correction, none of which appear to apply in my case.

Today, while working with Microsoft tech support on another Word 2007 issue, the message went away. Some "diagnostic" activity taken by tech support included renaming three HKCU Registry Keys. Afterwards, I reversed these renames on a one-at-a-time basis and found that the HKCU\...\data key is the one that triggers the message. The new and renamed entries are made up of hexadecimal data. My assumption is that one or more of the bit settings is the trigger, and I'd like to decode them to see if the cause can be determined. - Thanks

EDIT: also .jpg files were affected with this

A:Word document files encrypted? [email protected]

Hi,

we have the exact same problem. It was probably downloaded from a scam email with an invoice from "deutsche telekom" like this:

Guten Tag,

Ihre aktuelle Rechnung für Ihre Kundennummer 67129 vom 11.11.2014 steht im PDF-Format für Sie bereit.
Rechnung_2014_11_741800000067129.zip.

After one user clicked on the link with the zip file (after being warned not to) files on our network share started encrypting the same way you encountered, but with a different id.
I found on a bulgarian thread that had this problem and he emailed [email protected], the reply was to send 1 bitcoin to a wallet and afterwards they will send you the decode method.

(i used google translate)

any help, other than the ransom, appreciated

thanks and good luck

I have manifest with template that use valueMap field.
When open collected trace in Message Analyzer I see all fields that have map="..." output are still shown as numbers.
When I convert etl to evtx with:
wevtutil epl my_log.etl my_log.evtx /lf:true
and open it with event viewer I see correctly mapped strings.
I also checked how the fields are decoded in automatically generated opn file and also do not see the mapping.

A:Message Analyzer does not decode fields defined with valueMap

This is a known issue that we hope to address in the next public release. The fix specifically addresses INTS that have strings as mapped names.  If this is not your scenario, please let me know.

Hi All,
   Really excited that MA now supports decoding WPP traces.  I'm looking forward to using all the searching and filtering functionality on my log traces.  Is there a way to instruct MA to get symbols from a symbol server or symbol server
cache?
Ideally, if the tracepdb path was set, it would use _NT_SYMBOL_PATH.
Is there a way I can do this?
Thanks,
  Eric

I use Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 and on Outlook Express 6, the "Combine and Decode" function doesn't appear to be working.

Whenever I try to take 2 or more e-mail letters and try to combine them into one, the Combine and Decode window will pop up showing the order that the letters will be when I combine them, but when I click OK to combine them, it only shows the letter that was highlighted in the Combine and Decode window.

If anyone knows how I can resolve this, I would appreciate any asssisstance. Thank you.
