Hi Everyone, I have the Lenovo legion y545 with the rtx2060 graphics card but there is an issue, the laptop had a 2018 version of Windows 10 and it worked fine but recently, I noticed there is an update to the latest version, so naturally, I decided to update it, but as soon as the system started up again the screen started to go crazy, there were colored bars on the top that were glitching and moving the whole screen up and down. the only thing that I could understand is that the intel graphics 630 driver is probably the cause, because as soon as you uninstall the driver or disable it the glitch stops, also the laptop works fine in the dedicated graphics settingdoes anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

I bought Lenovo Y545 with NVidia RTX 2060 at walmart.com on October 2019. The laptop is working fine until January 2020. When I am watching a youtube video, the screen start to tearing up. I saw discoloration lines and it  still there after I restarted the laptop. The issue only fixed after I switched to hybrid mode when Intel Graphic Cards is use for desktop mode. But Nvidia graphic card is still not working and GPU options for apps is not present. I tried to reinstall graphic card driver but it still didn't work. I even factory reset my laptop but still didn't work. I GPU-Z to check the issue and it seems the clock speed and memory are not detected.

Hello everyone, I got the Lenovo LEGION Y545 model:81Q3. I've actually gotten 2 of them (bought one, returned it and got another) and both of them are doing the same thing. All of the comunication apps like mumble and skype show that I'm getting a output noise that is a rythmic buzzing/static type noise through both the laptop speakers or my headset. I opened the sounds tab and made sure it isn't some audio feed back from the mic but the bar on the mic doesn't move just the speaker bar. I've made sure the drivers were up to date and it still does it. The only change is that if I unplug the laptop its isn't as active but it still happens. It also happens when I also listen it any music /videos. This is the second laptop in a row so I'm convinced that it must be a setting thing. Any suggestions?

Hi, I recently got a Lenovo LEGION Y530-15ICH-1060. Right after installing Windows 10 and all that stuff, I wanted to update all drivers to get everything working with highest performance possible. I had no problems updating all drivers using Lenovo utilities and softwares from Intel/Nvidia..... But I have a problem updating the driver for my processor integrated graphic card, the Intel UHD Graphics 630. According to the official Intel driver update utility, the update is the following : When I try to apply this update using the official Intel utility, I get this error : Translation : The driver is not validated for this computer. Ask the computer manufacturer for the right driver. I tried to install the driver from the Lenovo support page for my computer, but it's not the latest version. I would like to install this latest version but I don't understand why it tells me that it's not compatible. I'm sure that there is an update available for my Intel UHD 630 because I tried lots of other driver detection tools (DriversCloud, SDItool....) and they all tell me that there is an update. But they all fail with this error when trying to install it. What should I do to update this driver ? I've had my laptop for less than 2 months, but recently I got stuck in an auto-repair loop (possibly a virus), so I took my laptop to my university's tech center. Once there they wiped my laptop clean and installed a fresh install of Windows 10. A couple of my drivers got deleted like my mouse and wifi drivers, but they re-installed them there as well. Everything was fine just a little slow, I re-installed all my apps/games back. I never really checked for Windows 10 updates until a couple days ago because I randomly got this error when trying to play my games. It would say something like this: "ERROR: your video card does not support alpha blending with floating point render targets (D3DFMT_A16B16G16R16F)". I have a GTX 1050 ti, so I was really confused. I looked up how to fix it on other forums and even Reddit. Apparently, this happens when your laptop tries using the GPU built into the motherboard instead of the actual graphics card. Many suggested uninstalling the current GPU drivers and re-installing them. So that's exactly what I tried, but now whenever I try to express install the newest driver on Geforce Experience; it says "The Standard NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. Please update your driver using...(website)". The website it gives is not even available, so I look up and manually try to download/install the driver myself, but it gives me the same message it did on Geforce Experience. I'm running a dell inspiron 1545 (vista 32).

When trying to open the intel graphics driver properties it won't open (no error message)
When I try to change the display settings I get the error message "the currently selected graphics driver can not be used (written for a older version of windows)
When I run dixdiag I get the error that direct input isn't responding.
I tried to download drivers from intel but I got the error message that my machine doesen't meet the system requirements (I'm not entirly sure I picked the right software)

All the drivers from the dell site appear to do nothing and I've updated from direct 9 to 11.

Still no fix

If anyone can help me fix it give me your email and I'll gift you a itunes voucher or something, this problem is causing huge problems for me.

I have lenovo y70, this happens to me every day and it is irritating, it stops working even if i'm just using firefox and watching youtube videos, temperature of gpu is normal when this happens. Hello, community. My model is a 20DM000VUS, that's the one with the Intel HD 4400 and the Nvidia GeForce 840m.The display is driven by the Intel HD 4400, and I am not having any problem with that.The issue is that sometimes when I start a program using the Intel HD graphics card it either stutters a lot, freezes or stop completely. The mouse and stuff still works and I can close the program. Here is the message I recieve.I get it everytime I start a call in Skype, or run something a bit demanding... I never got this message in Windows 8, probably because it was the right driver, but I don't recall updating any Intel graphics drivers after I got to W10. The strange part, is that Intel Driver Update Utility tells me that installing their software update for this GPU won't work becuase I have a custom driver from Lenovo. Is that correct? Any ideas? Heard of any updates anywhere? Thanks in advance

Hi My TPY 14 uses Intel HD 5500 and GeFroce 940M. But I install the Intel driver updates without any issues. Maybe you can try something like getting the "Intel Display Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad Yoga 14 (Type 20DM, 20DN) - 2/9/2015 - 10.18..."  as a backup. Uninstall the Intel display driver and install the ones from Intel to see if it fixes your issue.  Regards

Hello Lenovo, I work daily on my Lenovo Thinkpad T570 and I am very satisfied with the machine.However, there is quite an irritating problem with the laptop.The fact is, that my laptop runs Windows 10 October build 1809 and runs the newest driver from Lenovo for the Intel GPU.That is version: driver version causes a lot of screen flickering on a screen connected through the HDMI port.Intel has released a new driver. Version: solve the problem, Lenovo has to push this new driver. Do others also experience this problem with this driver that is known to be faulty with the October update?

I bought this laptop for my mother around 2 months ago, and up until she moved house recently, she always had it plugged in to an external monitor via VGA. When she moved house and the laptop was unplugged, I'm not sure if display settings were changed and the laptop had been turned off, and whether this is the cause of my problem, but now the laptop doesn't recognise it's own screen, and says that a monitor is the primary display when plugged in via HDMI. I think that the issue is that I need to re-install the graphics driver, but I am not sure which one to download and install. There are 4 options on the HP support website: - AMD/Intel Switchable High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (American, International)  - Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (American, International)- Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver - Broadwell/Skylake (American, International)  - Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver - Bay Trail-M (American, International) I am pretty sure it is not the first one, as this laptop is Intel rather than AMD, but from there I am not sure which of the other 3 is the correct one. I have downloaded the second one, but I don't want to try and install it in case I lose all function from the laptop. Any help would be appreciated, cheers!

Hi: You should be able to press the F4 key to toggle the display you want to see. Just keep pressing it until you get the notebook display to show up. The graphics driver depends on what processor your notebook has. Bay Trail is for the notebooks with Pentium/Celeron processors and the Broadwell/Skylake is for the notebooks with Intel 5th and 6th generation Core processors.

Today,while watching a video my Lenovo laptop (20236 serial number) it just blue screened.I didnt get to read a lot of it because it restarted my laptop very quickly but i managed to get a app thing that was able to read the dump file.In the Device Manager i realised the error was from my Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver.I went online and reinstalled it.After the first bluescreen no more blue screens happend but my windows seem to have a weird trail behind them when i move them over anything(icons on the desktop/other windows)
and anywhere i go watch videos they seem to lag(i thought it was a refresh rate or frame rate issue from the graphics driver).I pretty much can see the line in the middle of the screen where the pixels are changing between frames.After reading the dump file i got this information:

Hello,  I have an Ideapag y700 (I7-6700HQ; 16GB; NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960M 4gb).  i got the laptop in january and for about 2 weeks 3D games worked well (tried with Dragon Age Inquisition and Football Manager 2017).  Then ... everything went wrong... And I could not get the games to open (I got various errors - Blue Screens).  I did however see that the problem is form the Intel graphics (it will not update - it remains with version, even though on the Intel website there are a couple of updates available). I tried some updates but the computer keeps crashing.  Anyone has any clues as to what I can do ?  I'm attaching a dump file from FM 2017 game ...

   In order to play games like assassins creed i need to update my graphics driver.i updated my driver using the following options:- 1.HP support assistant2. Intel driver update utliity3. 'Update driver' option from the display adapter properties. but none of the drivers have been successful. Issue -------- my system shuts down immediately on startup after maybe 5 seconds.!!!!!As soon as i uninstall/roll back driver in the safe mode,the issue ceases to exist.I've installed the latest drivers for my particular graphics card and windows version but no luck so far. please provide a solution.

My display driver "Intel HD Graphics 5500" has basically stopped working. When it is enabled, it makes the screen go crazy (hard to describe), and it is usable but just barely. I can disable the driver and the issue stops. So far, the only problem I've noticed with the driver disabled is that I cannot adjust the brightness, but there are probably more issues that I don't know about yet. My computer is completely up to date, with both Windows and Lenovo updates. I have deleted and reinstalled the driver multiple times (including old versions) but every time the same issue reappears. I have no idea what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can give more information about my system/drivers if needed.

Hello,  I have the Lenovo y40 with the intel i7-4510 and wthe AMD Radeon R9 M275 graphics card. About 1 month ago, I was in the middle of a game when my computer just shut down and gave me a blue screen. Since then, I have been unable to run my computer with the graphics driver enabled. At first, I thought it may be a driver issue and have tried both the Lenovo drivers from their page (which seemed a bit outdated) as well as the AMD drivers from the website, neither of which have worked.  Furthermore, I did do a fresh install today in hopes that would fix it, however, it did not. I get the same thing, the moment it recognizes that the AMD card is working I get a BSOD.  Some of the error codes that I have gotten with the BSODs are as follow: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER, BAD_POOL_HEADER, KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, BAD_POOL_CALLER, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (NTFS.sys).

Hello, I'm an owner of Y520 that I bought less than a month ago and in the past few days, I have been experiencing a strange keyboard issue. At seemingly random times, several random keys will become completely unresponsive.The keys will work fine all day except for a few minutes here and there. For example, my 'e' 'g' 'h' '8' '9' and 'FN' keys just stopped working for about 3 minutes, now they are obviously working fine again. Sometimes it's for more than a few minutes and can be a nuisance.I've also noticed sometimes holding the key down for a while will fix it. I'm wondering if there's some sort of fix that I can try when this happens so that I don't have to take it to an authorized service center.Furthermore, I've noticed that there are more people having the same issue with the same keys as there are videos about it on Youtube. I bought my laptop in Europe but currently live in Canada so I am a bit worried if it is possible to find an authorized repair center. My encrypted Thinkpad T470 (2yrs old) has suddenly begun "crashing" during use. This doesn't seem to be triggered by any particular programs or user behaviour that I can identify, and once it happens it will occur again relatively soon if I restart it without a long rest. What happens is that the screen goes black, and white boxes flicker in and out. Sometimes I see white lines near the top, which I associate with graphics card issues, but I've never seen this white boxes pattern before. The laptp will not project on an external monitor, so it's not just a display issue. It does not fully shut down when this happens, but rather requires a force quit in order to restart. It restarts normally until it crashes again. Any ideas on what is happening here? Am I on the right track to suspect graphics card issues? Thanks.

Recently I decided to dual boot Linux along with Windows 10. But due to a small issue in my boot menu I was unable to do so. The bootable drive is being recognized but due to some unknown reason I am not able to Select or Enter the bootable USB drive from the boot menu even though I have it in my boot options.(The "Enter" Key is not functioning in the boot menu, unable to select the bootable drive only) Can anyone help me out with this. . .?Thank you for your response

In Lenovo updates, says there's an update for Intel GTX graphics driver; does not update.  I have driver but Intel has a more recent version, but all I get is an error message to contact my manufacturer, but my warranty has expired.  Tried using device manager and telling it to update from Intel driver that I downloaded from their site but will not do it.  Any ideas?

I just received my new/non refurbished Legion Y7000 from B&H yesterday.  I set it up and was charging it and noticed that yesterday it did not charge to past 90%.  Today I discharged until it turned off (may have just gone into emergency mode- as the screen went off, but when I plugged back in it went right to where I left off). Now it won't charge past 87%.  What is the deal? Anyone know how to change this or is it a problem with the laptop?  Thank you.

Go to Intel | Data Center Solutions, IOT, and PC Innovation Click on Support/Download Drivers and finally automatically find drivers. This will require installing a small Intel update utility. Run that and it will list any applicable Intel drivers for your PC.

That is what I do for the Intel CPU/Video drivers for my i7 3770 CPU.

So I have been having issues with my Intel HD Graphics Driver constantly crashing on my computer. Whenever it crashes it says that it is the Windows 8 driver. I keep getting the VDR TDR Failure (igdkmd64.sys) error.  I open up the Intel Driver Update Utility & it states that it cannot update the driver.Error:  A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer.  The Intel Driver Update Utlity is not able to update the driver.  Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues.  Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer. I have  version of Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 10. How am I to update this driver?  This is extremely frustrating.  Why would you make a product that is difficult to update? JPaw

The only other driver listed on Intel's support website is which is a BETA version. Lenovo Legion Legion Y520  running windows 10 I am connected to a Sony TV by HDMI.  When I use the TV as the only display or as an extended display the image is downscaled to 720p.  If I clone the display from my laptop it will render full 1080p. All of the settings I can find appear to be correct.  The laptop says that it is displaying 1920x1080.  I would like to get the TV to work as primary display.  I know it is not the TV.  It can display the cloned desktop and works properly for game consoles also using HDMI.  I have tried using different HDMI ports on the TV.

I have the Legion Y520 -15kbn  Model name 80WK i7 16 gig ram and Nividia 1050ti 4gig gragjhics card. I bought to us VR headset my question is the HDMI port off the Intel grapghics or the Nividia 1050ti??? If its not off the Nividia GPU then it VR will not work. I am not sure if this is where it belongs, or if it is a Graphics Card issue. I have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely, causing me to do a hard shut down. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I've just downloaded and ran the software to detect which drivers I need to install and have downloaded and installed all of them with the exception of the nvidia graphics driver which says I need to install an Intel driver first. I've searched the Dell site but I can't find the Intel driver I need.
Please can you point me to the Intel driver that I need to install?

Recently I've been using Intel Driver update utility to keep my drivers in check with what's up to date, but for a while now I've noticed I can't get this spicific one.  It's been bugging me for a while and I'd like to get it updated so this notification will go away.  Where might I go about getting said driver?  I've already looked in the drivers area of the XC603G on the main site.  You're my last hope, Fourms.

To install Intel generci VGA drivers, you need to uninstall first the Acer/Intel drivers or you will be not able to do it.but...if you are under windows 10, keep in mind that it will try to re-install the Acer/Intel drivers over the generic drivers.
